I've been here for many events and catch ups with friends, if you're looking for a view and a cool spot, this would be the place. My favorite time coming here during happy hour, or during brunch on the weekends when it is less busy and more restaurant than club. Happy hour, is it exactly cheap but you're paying for the view with this type of spot so I don't mind the tiny martinis that are definitely overpriced when I get to have a fun view with great music. Personally, I have felt at the hosts are usually a bit colder but the waitresses I've had have always been wonderful. Another note, this is not the place to go if you were in a rush. The kitchen isn't on the same floor as the bar so it does take a minute for things to come up. For the food, everything is actually tasty. Nothing groundbreaking but all a good option to order. I like this spot I've been three times. Twice for happy hour and once for a night time party. The happy hour is a good time. They have a dj come in around 6pm and both times they were good. Mixed genres so a little something for everyone in the crowd. The small bites are decent and the drinks are good. I do think the pitchers to share are over priced $85 but the mini martini flights are a good value 3 for $24. I recently celebrated my birthday here with friends, and it turned out to be such a lovely evening. The vibe of this place is absolutely amazing--perfect for a date, a birthday, or any special occasion. The rooftop views are stunning. Even though it was a colder month and the rooftop seating was closed, they still allowed guests to step out briefly to enjoy the view and take pictures, which was a really nice touch. What truly stood out was the happy hour timing (5-9 PM), which worked perfectly since it was a Friday and everyone could join after work. The happy hour menu was impressive--$5 prosecco, $9 mini martinis, cocktail pitchers, and even magnum-sized bottles of wine to share. There were two cocktails on the menu; one of them was especially delicious and definitely a crowd favorite. We also ordered some bites--truffle fries and pizza, both of which were really good and paired well with the drinks. When making the reservation, I had mentioned that it was a birthday celebration, and they surprised us with a complimentary dessert, which was thoughtful and tasted great. A chic and classy rooftop lounge, perfect for a date night or just a girls night out! It had a great view from Brooklyn to Midtown with refreshing, fun cocktails to match the vibe! Food-The soft pretzel was huge, so soft, and lightly salted. The cheese sauce was to die for! Drinks- I ordered the sunset drink (as a mocktail) which you can only get during happy hours. It's refreshing and minty with the slightest squeeze of lime. The smoking dove has a bright, initial punch of grapefruit and a smoky aftertaste that lingers on your tongue. The waitresses are so sweet and accommodating too! Just be aware that they do have a live dj playing in the corner and the music can be loud and overwhelming (hence the 4 stars). read more

The Highlight Room is a cute and vibey rooftop bar --kind of reminds me of LA. The space is nicely decorated indoors, which feels like a posh lounge. There is a small outdoor section for views of the city, but you'd likely need reservations to score one of those seats. We ended up getting seated at the bar and each had a cocktail. I love the vide of this rooftop! Very well decorated and easy to find (right in Chinatown). Despite the venue not being full we were met with passive aggressive behavior that ruined my experience. I was really excited to visit Highlight Room with a friend who was in town. We didn't have reservations, but the hostess kindly told us if there was a cancellation, he'd seat us (great first impression and customer service there.) Unfortunately, the rest of the experience went downhill. We sat at the bar and were ignored for about 12 minutes until my friend had to ask if we could order. I ordered the martini flight, and it was just placed in front of me, I had to ask for the actual flight stand, which is the whole aesthetic of ordering it. We then waited another 10 minutes to order food, and the bartender seemed visibly annoyed. I tried not to assume anything, but it was hard not to notice how quickly and attentively he served others around us. We ordered four appetizers and asked for small plates; he said they didn't have any, but a manager overheard and told him to get them so clearly that wasn't accurate. When I asked for the check, instead of bringing it, he immediately charged the card on file without confirming. The charge declined due to a fraud alert (which wasn't surprising), but I never authorized him to run it in the first place. I then used my card again, not realizing gratuity had already been included, so we tipped extra on top of that which may explain why he rushed to charge the card without asking. After leaving, I realized I had actually been charged twice. I called immediately and was told I'd have to come back in person (even though I was already on the FDR) or email a manager and wait up to two weeks. There was no sense of urgency or concern at all. Overall, the experience was disappointing and poorly handled, and it completely ruined what was supposed to be a nice night out. read more

The margarita pizza isn't a pizza for real. It's a very thin piece of bread with barely any cheese and huge pieces of basil on top. Do not buy the little bite burgers at all, they take little literally. They're extremely tiny for the price. The mozzarella sticks are worth it. This place is more of a lounge than a rooftop, the outside seating is pretty limited and u can't enjoy the view because of the tall walls. The music here is also pretty loud. read more

Unprofessional experience at 8pm on Friday February 27, 2026 which was surprising given that I come here a lot. I sat with my friend and no waiter stoped by while they checked on everyone else. I looked towards the bar and waiters were chit chatting to themselves instead of working. After 30mins I walked up to the host to notify him of the situation and i had hoped he took care of it... another 5-10mins gone by. Nobody came to our table to take our order. Clearly there was lack of order, care, structure, management, problem solving, and good experience. My friend and I had to leave at once to a different restaurants with thorough professionalism. I've been here twice to both levels (top floor with table service) and lower floor with rooftop patio seating. The top floor was a lot of fun since it was darker and less crowded with a bigger dj area. There were lots of people around their respective tables who ordered table service. I had so much fun dancing with my boyfriend here. The lower level with the rooftop patio seating is also a lot of fun but is way more crowded but you can go outside to the patio to cool down. This is a classy rooftop in Chinatown on top of the Moxy hotel. In a way it feels out of place for the neighborhood, but it offers great views of the Empire State Building and the World Trade Center. We went for happy hour, where they have $5 rose. That is a steal in New York, especially for such an elegant bar. The bouncers were especially friendly and guided us to the elevators. We didn't have a reservation, but they let us in and we chilled by the bar for a bit. All the tables were reserved and it seems like there were a lot of birthday parties and work drinks. We eventually managed to snag a seat when it quieted down. They have a DJ that was playing EDM pop. I loved the music and it was stuff that everybody would recognize. In terms of dress code, I would definitely try to dress up a bit. Most of the girls were in dresses and heels, and the guys had button downs. We felt out of place at first, but it didn't matter. The drinks after happy hour were pricey. The same rose right after happy hour ended up being $20. At that point, get a cocktail as it was less than that! The actual rooftop is small, and we couldn't go outside for a few hours because of a work event. Eventually we made it and it had great views though.
