Appetizer: Italian Meatballs with side of Flatbread, 7 inch Margherita with a side cob salad
    Angela O.

This is my all time favorite pizza place to eat. The presentation of the food is beautiful and the taste is even better! The one in Prairie Village has a beautiful outdoor seating area which is my favorite. The service is really great! They bring the food to you and they check on you throughout your time there. 10/10 would recommend if you're HUNGRY and need some COMFORT food! :) Here is what I got: Appetizer: Italian Meatballs with side of Flatbread, 7 inch Margherita with a side cob salad

Caesar Salad and seven inch personal pepperoni pizza...

Every Sunday I go to Spin Pizza, Overland Park and order my Caesar salad and the seven inch pepperoni pizza. Download the app and get rewards. I sit at the counter and watch the activity of a busy kitchen...

Weve been several times to this and the 119th street location. You order at the counter and the seat yourself. On this trip, at 1 pm on a sunday, there was scant business (weve been here when it was crowded) and the woman at the register seemed bored. That didnt mean she was particularly helpful as we did have a few questions on the menu. She basically gave us one word answers as she pointed at the menu. A little misleading is that as you walk in, they have a display of the taps under the wall menu. Several were missing in the display presumably signaling they were out of those beers. So I was surprised when I ordered one from the display they were out of it. So much for their marketing Since it was a late lunch we decided on the Mini Mia, which offered a choice of any 7" pie and either a side soup or salad. I went with the Pepperoni and Greek salad. My wife went with the seasonal Minestrone soup, which was accompanied by a flat bread/foccacia. After paying and taking our table stand number we went to the bar for seating. Strangely, they had what appeared to be 4 cooks, 4 managers and several table hops, but it took about 10 minutes to get our drinks. But the food then arrived about 1 minute later. The soup was good and the flat bread was tasty for dipping. The pizza, thicker than I care, was a bit reminiscent of the 7"ers you get from Pizza Hut. In other words, nothing special. The Greek side salad was the best, nicely tossed with cukes, sliced cherry tomatoes, green onions, olives and feta cheese. Modestly priced and solid food, it is good for a quick stop in. Only the service seemed a bit wanting.

Spin always hits the spot -- it's a great, fresh, local spot. Tonight, I was pleasantly surprised by the sign when I walked in with new seasonal salads. Having been in business for many years, Spin is great at introducing new menu items every few months. I tried the new Italian salad which had salami, olives, onions and cheese. Very good. I also decided to continue branching out of my normal menu items, and got the portobello pizza. Overall, quite the yummy evening, as when I arrived, I was starving!

Like 2 pieces of chicken in each slice maybe 3 that's horrible for this location

Not unless you want to pay 20 dollars for a 14" chicken and pesto with 3 oz of chicken. I wonder how many oz they put on the 12" terrible 2 to 3 small pieces of chicken for the 14" it's just awful. Update called other spin pizza around and they give more on their clone and pesto it's crazy that this locating rips people off

Situated in downtown Overland Park, this shop really defines the pizza scene there and has some of the tastiest pies you could hope for - super flavorful, loaded with toppings and cheese and baked with just the right crunchy edges - just emmmm. I recently went in on Valentine's Day evening with my husband because I wanted to keep it super casual, and Buffalo State Co Pizza did not disappoint. We ordered an 18-inch pizza with the Le Royale and Don Pepe flavors, half and half. As soon as we entered, we ordered and paid for the pizza at the front desk and then went to the bar to open a tap - and then proceeded to find a table. Le Royale is your regular combo pizza with sausage, pepperoni, bacon, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives, red onion, and cheese .. all of that, but just a little better than most combo pizzas out there haha. Don Pepe has pepperoni, spinach, Roma tomatoes, feta, parmesan cheese, and roasted garlic. The ingredients came together with perfectly melted cheese and tangy tomato sauce, topped with sizzling pepperoni slices. It was chewy, gooey, and very satisfying with the perfect bite. I think it definitely transported me to NY. To top it all up, there was live music, and I got to hear an amazing local artist called Katie Ziegler - her voice was truly magical. Otherwise, the service was good and fast. To conclude - I had a lovely unforgettable evening with great food, music and service. To all the pizza lovers - this restaurant is waiting to serve ya!

My friend ordered a gluten crust with ricotta cheese and prosciutto, surprisingly so good and you couldn't even tell the crust was Gluten free! It came out fairly fast too! They had an open space with plenty of seats, even games like pinball to play! Overall such a great experience and will be back when I'm in the area!

Avelluto's is located in Mission, in the same shopping complex as Rally House, Mud Pie, and a Wing Stop, and Tipsy's Liquor. It's a small place, maybe dozen tables. You place your order at the front counter. If you're dining in you get a number. I was taking away and got the Eggplant Parmigiana and Tiramisu. While waiting I saw people continuing to come in and order, then waiting for a tablets to open. I think most of the people were considerate enough to not linger after eating. So the turnover on the tables was pretty quick. The Eggplant Parmigiana was really good. The breading on the eggplant was crispy and well-seasoned, the spaghetti was perfectly cooked, the sauce was deceptively simple. I say deceptively because it was a straight marinara but wonderfully flavored. And the Tiramisu! The best Tiramisu I've had. I went back with FPO and got pizza by the slice, the Chicken Parmigiana, and a small Meatball with Rigatoni. And of course, another slice of Tiramisu. Everything was wonderful the second time too. That tells me they're consistent and I will be going back again. And probably again after that.

I think sometimes, quite unfairly, restaurants can be a victim of their own hype. Living somewhat near here and seeing how packed it is, and how hard it is to get a reservation... the lore grew and grew. I thought this must be the best spot in town! And you know what? It is really good. Really solid, good service, and a good restaurant to check out. Put it on the to-try list. One area that didn't fully land for me was vibe-wise, or if I need to act my age, I could call it the atmosphere. It's such a small space (totally fine) but the back row of tables is essentially shared. Normally fine, but the night we were there we were right next to a large group that was super loud. Kinda dampened the energy, and felt better when they left. Basically, wanting date night but the energy here is more "brasserie" and slightly more casual than I expected. Anywho, the food was good. Loved the focaccia starter with a garlicky olive oil. The Italian salad was pretty good, a bit marked up on price, but pretty good. I had the chicken parmigiana and wanted to love it, but I'd say a solid four stars. Good, not great. The red sauce was very good, and the serving size is generous. Passed on dessert and headed around the corner for after-dinner cocktails. All in all, a great neighborhood spot where I feel the prices are a bit high, but I see most of the appeal. I thought this might be a regular spot in the rotation, but it's more likely to be an every now and again kind of spot.
