Despite it being a Monday night, the restaurant was bustling with activity, which is always a promising sign. One of the standout features for me was the impressive selection of local beers on tap. It's wonderful to see Spin Pizza supporting local breweries by offering such a diverse range of options. There's also a full bar for other options. The restaurant's layout is incredibly accommodating, with ample seating for larger groups and the flexibility to rearrange tables as needed. This thoughtful design added to the comfort and enjoyment of our dining experience. The food did not disappoint either. The menu boasts a wide variety of choices, and everything we ordered was delicious. A notable aspect of our visit was the attentiveness of the servers. They were prompt, friendly, and ensured that all our needs were met throughout the meal. However, I feel it's worth mentioning one downside - the strong smell of burnt pizza that lingers in the air. While it didn't affect the taste of the food, it did leave a noticeable scent on our clothes and hair after we left. We stop in for a lite dinner during the weekday. I usually like their pizza and salad combo. You can select your choice of pizza and salad on the menu. Decent pricing and a good meal. Casual family style dine-in atmosphere. Service is usually fast. Order at the counter and take a seat. They will bring out your food to the table. They also have Italian gelato ice cream there for dessert. Last time we ordered it, the gelato wasn't so good. Tasted like old leftover frosted ice cream that has been sitting there long over due. I have been a regular customer of Spin since it first opened on Main street in KC. I always order the veggie pizza, however lately every time I order it is missing the goat cheese. I have tried calling the store and emailing, but still they never put the goat cheese on. Today, it came with zero cheese and was burnt. I called the store and the person I spoke with implied it was my fault that didn't put the cheese on and when I asked what I needed to do to get the pizza made the way it's listed on the menu, she told me to stop ordering from the store. I didn't even mention the pizza was burnt. Not the char that is normal, but burnt. I will never go to any Spin again! Terrible food abd worse service. read more

I really like the pepperoni pizza here. The crust matters to me and I really like the crust. This is my go to place when I'm craving pizza and it's generally consistent. What's not consistent it the caesar salad I get from them every time with the pizza. The dressing sometimes is thin and runny and tasteless, other times very thick and goopy... not sure what's going on there, but it can definitely affect the way the salad tastes for sure. I always get pick up/to go so I can't say how it is eating in, but take out lately has been lacking in service. One time, I went to the take out counter and stood there while I watch 5 employees talk and goof around right in front of me. They even locked eyes with me and still ignored me. After a while, I have to call out to someone to get help. Another time shortly after, I once again stood at the take out counter and watched employees talk to each other ignoring me (yet locking eyes with me so I know they saw me). One employee finally got in range after busing a table and didn't acknowledge me standing there so I had to call to him to ask for help and he almost walked away but realized someone was talking to him and turned around. I'm not sure what's going on but they generally have a very young (teenager/college kid) employee base here it seems. Not saying that's bad, but some training seems to be in order or something. It won't stop me from ordering take out but it definitely is an uneccessary experience. read more

This is my all time favorite pizza place to eat. The presentation of the food is beautiful and the taste is even better! The one in Prairie Village has a beautiful outdoor seating area which is my favorite. The service is really great! Weve been several times to this and the 119th street location. You order at the counter and the seat yourself. On this trip, at 1 pm on a sunday, there was scant business (weve been here when it was crowded) and the woman at the register seemed bored. That didnt mean she was particularly helpful as we did have a few questions on the menu. She basically gave us one word answers as she pointed at the menu. A little misleading is that as you walk in, they have a display of the taps under the wall menu. Several were missing in the display presumably signaling they were out of those beers. So I was surprised when I ordered one from the display they were out of it. So much for their marketing Since it was a late lunch we decided on the Mini Mia, which offered a choice of any 7" pie and either a side soup or salad. I went with the Pepperoni and Greek salad. My wife went with the seasonal Minestrone soup, which was accompanied by a flat bread/foccacia. After paying and taking our table stand number we went to the bar for seating. Strangely, they had what appeared to be 4 cooks, 4 managers and several table hops, but it took about 10 minutes to get our drinks. But the food then arrived about 1 minute later. The soup was good and the flat bread was tasty for dipping. The pizza, thicker than I care, was a bit reminiscent of the 7"ers you get from Pizza Hut. In other words, nothing special. The Greek side salad was the best, nicely tossed with cukes, sliced cherry tomatoes, green onions, olives and feta cheese. Modestly priced and solid food, it is good for a quick stop in. SPIN! has slowly evolved into 'ol reliable for me. Quick service, healthy, fresh salads, good sandwiches and pretty tasty little pizzas. I like this location because they've been able to seamlessly include a nice, shaded patio in Corinth Square. The service here has always been friendly and the quality is that of the other SPIN!'s in the area. Some serious foodies might knock the pizzas for not being 100% Neapolitan style, but honestly, they taste really good to me. The original crust is my favorite, but the gluten free is actually very tasty as well and a tad crisper. The whole SPIN! brand has really come along and evolved and I'm glad to see a fast-casual concept that typically knocks it out of the park. read more

-Door Dash Delivery- The food- One of the few places that I can get a margherita pizza. I placed my online order for the pizza and a cup of soup. Portion sizes are exactly what was expected and the pizza was divine! I am a big proponent of loading a pizza with toppings. However sometimes the simplicity of this is amazing. My pizza was a little cooler than typically desired but I chalk that up to the delivery and no stars were lost due to this. The stars are lost by the soup. My order was for the Tomato bisque. And I am sad to report that this was one of the most bland versions I have ever come across. Store bought carton versions of the same soup have way more and better taste. I will try again in the store sometime to ensure that this is a recipe flaw and not something that came across the delivery. read more

Spin! is always great. I will say, I'm not in love with their pizza crust, but I love that it is made right there in a huge pizza oven and the flavors are always delicious. I love their salad with goat cheese and dried cranberries. They also have a great caesar! Their option to get a small pizza with a salad or soup is great and the gelato is always a must if possible. The last time I was there they gave it to us on the house which was very sweet. I'm so glad this location exists and I know we'll continue stopping by! read more

Great food fast is a hard combination to find. The fact that you can get a good salad with your pie is like having your pie and eating it too, and getting that fast...I know it's a lot to take in. I had the Mini Mia Lunch (for dinner) which is a portion of salad and a personal pan sized pizza (about 6"). The Greek Salad was delicious, lightly dressed and the olives burst with flavor. Paired with the 3 Meats Pizza which I highly recommend, because it has a nice spice and plenty of meat for my macros (or whatever you tell yourself). K had the Portobello Pizza which was also good and they do substitutions on these, so enjoy. read more

Besides the phenomenal food and friendly wait staff, I love the versatility of Spin. Coworkers and I frequent this location when we're looking to grab a quick lunch and make it back in time for our 1:00 meeting. It's a fun spot to go on Sunday afternoons to grab a beer, a pizza, and watch the game at the bar. It's also nice enough for date night. (Translation-it's acceptable to show up in athletic wear, business professional, or jeans..depending on the occasion.) The atmosphere they've cultivated is one that's hospitable, friendly, and efficient. The Sonoma salad pairs really well with the tomato basil soup on colder days (make sure you ask for the meatballs in the soup!) and yesterday I enjoyed a Mia Meal with a 1/2 (Sonoma) salad and Mini Mia pepperoni pizza on gluten free crust. I prefer the gluten free crust over the regular. It's crispier and slightly chewy with a touch of sweetness. It's amazing. I recommend the Mia Meals for lunch; it's the right amount of food that you're full but not uncomfortable. They also have tons of pairings to choose from. Every Spin location I've been to has attentive staff and yummy food so it doesn't matter which one you go to; it's consistent. It's family friendly too so you can bring the kids. This SPIN! location is the closest to my home, so it's been my most frequented SPIN! It's fairly similar in atmosphere to the other locations and it can be hoppin' here on weekend evenings. The staff are pleasant and efficient, but I truly wish SPIN! would ditch their silly ordering system and just provide full service. SPIN! has some great salads and I like that they have some nice combo options that include salad and a small pizza or meatballs. They also have vegan cheese available for their pizzas. read more

Spin is a great place to go with your family and or friends! They have a very family friendly environment. I love their margarita pizza. Usually pretty busy but never have a hard time finding a table. Their salads are pretty good too, sometimes they are over dressed so I always ask for dressing on the side. Occasionally the lettuce is wilted but I think that can happen anywhere. It is a great place to go for a casual bite. read more

Fast casual continues to grow and expand across genres. This very successful homegrown franchise (now moving into Orange County, California, after being pioneered right here) has a new location in the same plaza as Urban Table, BRGR, Hattie's Fine Coffee, Johnny's, etc. Was here over the weekend for the soft opening. Jake (I think that was his name) was a very able employee who not only was handling his own stations but was helping the less experienced staff. At our table, where we were enjoying a gluten-free version (lots of pizza places don't have this option) of a pizza that had green apples and sausage, Grace was our friendly and happy server. The couple of times I've been to Spin!, the salad has always surpassed the pizza in taste. Both times, the pizza tastes like something I can make a home so while good, nothing special. The service is always very welcoming and attentive, which I guess keeps me coming back. It's also a good price for a personal pizza and salad, as it's around $10 for both. read more

I have definitely had my share of lunches at Spin off the Plaza and Spin off 119th street. Normally, I do Pizza Mia (small pizza/small salad) or a Greek salad with chicken. I went to this location for a friends and family night last Friday. I went back again on Monday when they opened to the public. They were still breaking in the crew for friends and family, so there were certainly glitches in the service and that's ok. The food however, wasn't quite as good as the other locations. Pizza was dry and lacked olive oil. Flat bread also too dry and needed oil. Greek salad needed more dressing. When I went back on Monday, the place was about 20% full, so I was hoping that the food would get a little more attention. Unfortunately, my flatbread was incredibly hard and dry. The Greek salad was dressed generously. The only problem with the salad was that I requested fresh cracked pepper for my salad and when she came back, she said that they didn't have "fresh peppers" for the salad. I said, "no, fresh cracked pepper-like in a grinder." She said she never heard of that before. Sensing a communication problem, I got up and went to the kitchen to ask a manager. He told me they "don't have a pepper grinder at all." Huh? I always have to ask for it at the other locations, but at least they have one. Btw, that also means they don't use fresh pepper when they cook. I used my pepper shaker and moved on. Even with the restaurant more than half empty, there was not a lot of service. We tried to wave over the server to ask for napkins. She just looked at us and kept walking. Later, when we wanted refills, she was pushing a broom around. Another server who came in at second shift asked if we wanted refills. Regarding the location, they will do great at Corinth, were there are tons of families on the go with busy schedules and kids love pizza. There is one thing they have on the other location and that is a open and beautiful space. It feels new and the walnut floors are beautiful. They also have more booth seating, which is a plus. There is some major tweaking that needs to happen in order to get this location up to pace with the other locations. 119th is a pretty well oiled machine and the Plaza location is very consistent in their food quality. I will be checking back in next month. The proximity to my house makes for a great carry out option. read more

I ordered delivery and I didn't receive the flatbread with the Appetizer Duo I ordered. So apparently no one checked the order prior to sending it out for delivery? Also for the Mini Mia Pizza I ordered (chicken pesto) there was MAYBE a 1/2 teaspoon of pesto, a tiny amount of cheese, 3 small cubes of chicken and the rest was all crust. So I was charged $14.00 for basically crust. This is the 2nd time I've had incorrect/missing food from this location. I won't be ordering again. Really disappointing - I don't know what has happened to SPIN pizza, or if it's just this location? Regardless, there seems to misleading advertising going on with what the menu says and what you actually receive. Lesson Learned. read more

When you know quality ingredients are being used, you can taste them. That's the experience my wife and I got on our first visit to SPIN. They didn't have to say it. They didn't have to advertise it. You can taste the difference in the food. My wife and I went simple. She got a Margherita while I got a simple pepperoni. Both were outstanding. Great sauce. Great crust. Great cheese. Great toppings. Just all around great. Probably one of the best pizza experiences I've ever had. You just gotta sit down and and savor it, not devour it, like I often do. We also started with the flat bread with the 3 dips, which they had the lemon ricotta, hummus, and roasted red pepper. The ricotta was okay, but our least favorite. I've never been a fan of hummus, but I tried this one. I liked the garlic in it. My wife did enjoy it. However, we both kept going back for the roasted red pepper. This one seemed to be the best of the 3. There are quite a few things we still want to try on our next visit, including some of the sandwiches and gellato. Really good. Really tasty. read more

4 stars for food, 2 stars for service...hence the 3 star rating. This was our first time going to Spin. We went on a Saturday afternoon at 2:30. We walked in, didn't know if we should sit down , go through the fast food line, or what to do. No one helped. We read the menu on the wall, told the order taker what we wanted and that we wanted to have a couple of beers at the bar. He told us to go past the "order before you sit down" sign and have a seat at the bar and they "will take your order after you sit down." You get the hint. I ordered a Greek salad, he ordered a bowl of Minestrone and we split a three meat pizza. The server asked if we wanted the salad and soup before the pizza and we said yes. I got my salad and it was fantastic. The roasted tomatoes are a nice touch and the pre-tossed salad was a slam dunk. He never got his soup. Our pizza sat on the counter for over five minutes and at least four servers looked at the ticket, looked at us, and walked away. After they conferred, they gave us our pizza and began to pour the soup. We stopped them. The fourth server of the night said they wouldn't charge us for the soup we never got. You get the hint. The pizza was so good. For two guys who don't like the crust, we ate the whole thing! Bones and all! Nice sauce, not skimpy on the meat, and flavorful. Spin would do better as a take-out. The food is fresh, some of the the best pizza in KC, and a Greek salad I love, but the service is lacking. read more
