At work, we were so lucky as to have Spin Pollo's food catered to us, an exception to the rule. We at Dominion Fertility are used to having many lunches sponsored , but I have to say , what we had to day was exceptionally delicious. The chicken was phenomenal and the side dishes just as good. I have been to several Peruvian chicken places in the area and this one really stands out. The food was very good. The chicken was juicy and tender. There are many sides to chose from. Some of them are unique from what I usually see and it made the decision a tough one. I went with the chicken fried rice which was a good choice. I also ordered the yuquita balls. I have never had them before and I can't wait to go back for more! The atmosphere was enjoyable, the owners are very nice, the prices are reasonable and there is parking. What more could I hope for. This was my go to chicken place. So don't get me wrong, the food is very good. Especially the fried yucca - some of the best yucca I have had. I would consider myself a loyal and frequent customer. I come here at least 3 times a month - usually weekly if not more. But I am starting to get quite disappointed in Spin Pollo. For the second time in the past two weeks, there is a lack of chicken. I don't mind waiting for great chicken, but the first time it was a 30 minute wait. That is too long and I felt dismissed quite quickly. Today, I placed my typical order of a half chicken white meat. It's a little extra for white meat, which I do not mind paying extra for at all. As I am waiting, I was then told it would be at least 40 minutes for white meat order! Alternatively, I could just take all dark meat. Since I specifically asked for white meat, you can understand I was not happy but I accepted. I ended up leaving with the a half chicken dark meat, paying a premium for it with really no acknowledgement. The owners are there all the time and are very nice people, but the attention to the customer experience has certainly diminished in the past couple of months. It's a small business so I really wish them the best, but there are few things that need to be worked on in my opinion. read more

This was just OK. I don't understand the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I ordered 1/4 Chicken dark with black beans and fried rice and a side of yuquita balls. I was pretty excited about the yuquita balls since so many reviewers raved about them and attached yummy looking pictures. Unfortunately, I found them rather bland and dry. The chicken, beans and rice were fine but nothing to write home about. I'm glad I gave it a try but I'll try another place next time. read more

I was excited to try Spin Pollo. I went with my husband earlier today. The restaurant was not too busy but I noticed that staff members were busy trying to fix a large order. We ordered 2 lomo saltados and the yuca balls. We waited for over 20 minutes and noticed that our food was still not ready. I overheard a staff member ask why we were waiting and another member asked what we ordered. They began to frantically prepare our meal. I noticed another couple come into the restaurant and received their food before us. It was very upsetting and we were very hungry. The ingredients were fresh. My husband didn't care for the food. I thought it was okay. I dont think I would return due to the bad customer service. read more

Their chicken is great but they are slacking in the sides department. Rice is bland, fries and yuca are not good. I you order something fried, such as fries, yuca, or papa rellena, it has a weird taste. its as if they fry everything in the same batch of oil they used all week last week. It taste old...or maybe its the type of oil they use. If this place can get that straighten out then it would be in my top Peruvian places to eat, along side Pollo Rico and Granja de Oro:) read more

My wife and I came in for lunch today and had the yuca balls and a 1/4 chicken with plantains and salad. The yuca balls were awesome! We were both very impressed. The chicken was very flavorful and the plantains were amazing. Best plantains we have had at a chicken joint. The restaurant is very clean and we both loved the modern decor and music. This was only my second time having peruvian chicken, but I can't imagine it gets much better than this. The chicken is extremely soft, juicy, and well seasoned. The quantity is also great for the price. If you're a fan of cheese, you'll be pleased to find the yuquita balls melt inside, and are crisped to perfection. Awesome place! read more

I was pretty excited to see this place finally open up. I grew up in Jefferson Village and always happy to see new business in the area. The chicken was pretty good, not mind blowing but I still scarfed it down like a ravenous mutt. I felt the seasoning was underwhelming, it was the yellow and pink sauces that really made the meal. The green sauce was not to my liking, but the be fair La Granja De Oro green sauce is the bar i measure all green sauces against. I got the cheese balls too and smoothed it sauces. I thought they would be cheesier in taste. Overall the customer service was great and everyone had a smile on their face, especially me when I read that sauces were unlimited :) read more

What a find! We went crazy...ordered an entire chicken, three sides, those fabulous yuquita balls! I shudder to think of going through life without discovering this place. Food is just AMAZING!!!! I have been there at least 3 times since they opened. Chicken is juicy and just cooked to perfection. The sauces are great, specially their "secret" sauce. The Yuquita Balls are a MUST try! Make sure to ask for arroz chaufa as one of the sides. ;) It is the bomb and definitely addicting! My family just had dinner at the new Spin Pollo in the Falls Church area. Great location at the crossroads of Annandale Road and Arlington Blvd. Great chicken -- tasty, still juicy, and plump.
