    Peach Ginger Tea And Firesticks
    Steve A.

How about both a brewery and distillery? If it sounds good to you, come here. Spirit Water certainly is a place to get your drink on. Just out of the way a bit. There's certainly lots to choose from. Came here to raise our spirits and drink some of that water, which is actually booze. It's one of those places that doubles as a brewery and distillery. That means there's plenty to drink no matter your preferred tastes. It's about $9 a pint for beer. That's a lot. It's like getting it in a stadium at a sporting event. The high prices are more acceptable here because it's very high quality. Each of us tried a beer. I got the Peach Ginger Tea. Beer is strong here. This one was 7% ABV, and many are more. For the most part beers are strong, and a few will put you on your ass. If you don't like beer, then liquor up. There's no food here but you can bring in some from wherever.

I know the offerings at Spirit Water is not for everyone, but it continues to be one of my favorite bars. The staff deserve a minimum of 5 stars ! Service is great and very friendly. Stopped in on a weeknight, and ordered food from a local establishment to enjoy while we were drinking. We shared multiple flights to ensure everyone could try a bit of their many offerings. I enjoy mixing their beers to create a unique drink. Their beers are sweet, but perfect for me.

This beer is not for everyone and that applies to me. But I think there's a niche for it, so my review is not based on their product. They have great, friendly service. The space is nice and open. They have tons of flavors if "beer" and liquor. We did not try the liquor. If you like Not Your Father's Root beer, you'd probably like this.

Five stars for service alone. This place was recommended to us by multiple people, glad we stopped in! Allie was a great bartender, very friendly, attentive and explained the menu completely. Gave suggestions and a welcome drink sample. As others have said their menu skews sweet. Not my favorite style but there were enough options and Allie made some good suggestions on mixing it up. We enjoyed a couple of beer flights. Very light and bright space and welcoming. Could be a fun spot to meet with a group. Prices were fair and they are great about samples. We will be back to explore further.

Welcome Flight... Tropical Beach- didn't taste good

I was excited to try our Spirit Water but after my experience I can start by saying I will not come here again and wouldn't recommend a visit. We started out with their free tropical drink they give you as a first timer and though the gesture is nice it tasted bad. No one in our group could finish it. The drinks are interesting sounding but flavors are to strong in most I tried and the WAY to sweet. I tried the root beer and it was like sugar water... can't be good for you. Now the reason for the one star is a complicated topic ... but let's just say this was the worst night for there attempted comedy show. You could not hear anything since the Spirit Water staff could not control the crowd from talking the entire night. When myself and many around us asked the staff multiple times to get people to not talk so loud around the bar and respect the comics. they said we already tried that and they won't listen.worst part was I spoke to the owner he handled my feed back extremely poorly. Basically telling me he's just a bar back and I don't care what I think. Less time drinking buddy.. more time running your business. Really disrespectful and unfortunately don't think I'm ever coming back. I feel worse for the comics that came out and you literally could not hear anything they talked about near the back.

This brewery/distillery/tasting room hits the sweet spot for those who don't enjoy the taste of traditional beer. Besides in house made brews and in house distilled spirits in a huge variety of flavors, they also make what they call Spritzers (like a hard seltzer that is less fizzy) in a variety of flavors. I tried the black cherry as my first time visitor welcome drink as it was a safe bet for me being gluten free. There were six in our party so having flights was a good way to try much of their offerings. I tried their Cherry Brandy and Bourbon Old Fashioned which was very sweet without the bitters but strong. There are many types of seating options including an outdoor patio for when the weather allows. We sat together at two high tops and the waiter was friendly, attentive and good at explaining all the options. They don't serve food but you can order in or bring your own. The owner is the creator of the popular "Not Your Father's Root Beer". My only complaint was that after last call was shouted across the bar, we all were given the bum's rush out at 9 pm which we thought was too early for a holiday week when the place had many patrons. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

If you are looking for "not your normal tasting" beers or spirits, this is the place to try. Unique and robust flavors of beer such as French Toast,Orange Creme or Bourbon Pecan just to name a few. Over 20 different beers ranging from 5-10% ABV all made in house. They do have a beer guest list with other domestic and craft beers. You can also mix some of their beers to make a Root Beer Float or an Arnold Palmer. Most of their beers tho are very sweet! A flight of 4 beers is $14.00.A small selection of wines and spritzers also available. As for spirits..they offer vodka..rum..gin.. liqueurs...bourbon and whiskey all distilled in house. The bourbon tho is only aged about 4 years. Again they offer many flavors such as port bourbon ...maple bourbon..amaretto..mango passion fruit vodka. A flight of spirits is $15.00. If you are looking for dessert they have creams such as mint chocolate strawberry ..cookies and cream or blueberry lemon. You can also mix the creams with coffee or teas. Food is not available but you can bring your own. Growlers available for take out plus you can buy a few select bottles of spirits. Plenty of parking. A fun place to try some unique but sweet drinks and hang out with friends.

I'll try to be short, but want to give a true account of the events. Yesterday I came from the city via Metra late afternoon with another friend to visit a dear friend that moved to Cary a few years ago. Cary is far & we rarely see one another. Needless to say, we were super excited to for this mini-reunion & for our friend to show us a slice of Cary. It was not the best planning being St Paddy's weekend but so be it. We specifically looked for a place we could easily talk & catch up. We started w/ one chocolate martini at Cucina Rustica and chatted OVER an HOUR. Little did we know, we should have stayed there. Next stop, Cary RACIST Ale House. The back area lounge was nearly empty & we were assured it was open (not booked for any events). The waitress, at the start aggressively asked a bunch of questions. I first thought her line of questioning was bizarre so I ignored her while trying to figure out what to order. She asked how we got there, who was driving & specifically said she didn't feel comfortable in serving me. WTF?!?!? My friend politely answered her questions and when she left, we all agreed the waitress's behavior was odd & laughed it off. We refused to have her ruin our evening. To our SHOCK the waitress would NOT serve me?! Only me! Was I disruptive? NO! Was I being violent or doing something illegal? NO! Did I come in stumbling? NO! Was I slumped over passed out? NO! This was crazy! Check your security cameras if you don't believe! Was this a bad twilight zone episode? Was someone going to tell us this was all a joke? I was speechless. We asked her why. She said it was a management decision. What?! Interesting since no one came to talk to us aside from her. We asked her to explain, to get some understanding. You will NOT believe what she said....she said it was my eyes. I looked at my two white friends & asked if something was wrong with my eyes? No, nothing is wrong. WOW, she basically said my Asian eyes were an issue. Falsely claiming I was drunk and couldn't be served because she didn't like Asian-looking eyes?!?! I was stone cold sober ***hole! We were all completely sober & flabbergasted! Completely disgusted, we left. I thought about brushing this aside but I wouldn't want anyone else to be treated that way. I will not allow them to humiliate me. This was supposed to be a happy occasion, and it was spoiled by a bigoted, small-minded person. I don't know how these people can live with themselves.

I wish every small town in Wisconsin had a farm that was as lovingly transformed into a brewery as this one! The space is airy and large, and accommodated a couple hundred inebriated baseball parents (and two infidels from Wisconsin that snuck into the event and won the whole damn thing!) along with a quesadilla truck and raffle prizes. While Wild Onion is clearly a great venue for events, it is also a restaurant and brewery, so I am focusing this review more on the food and dining experience. We ate here for my cousin's wedding rehearsal dinner and were seated in a red carpeted room connected to the main reception hall. Unfortunately, this space felt out of place compared to the rest of the venue. It did not match the elegant vibe of the main hall and was a bit dark and dingy, which was somewhat off-putting at first. Service-wise, our waitress was wonderful. She was sweet, personable, and had a fun, upbeat personality that helped improve the overall experience right at the beginning. For my meal, I ordered the Kickin' Chicken Sandwich ($17). It is a hand-breaded chicken breast topped with honey garlic sauce, pepper jack cheese, bacon, chipotle mayo, and fried jalapenos. The sandwich had a really nice balance of flavors and was easy to eat, but despite the name, it was not spicy at all. I enjoyed it, though I did find the portion a bit small, and it did not fill me up. I chose cheese curds as my side, and those were a highlight. They were crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Also, because I am currently pregnant, I had an absolutely delicious mocktail. I sadly don't remember the name of the one I ordered, but I am here to say that it had a good balance of flavors. Overall, Wild Onion has a large menu with a wide variety of options, along with many different side choices, some for an additional charge. There truly is something for everyone. While the rehearsal dinner space itself was not ideal, the food, service, and overall selection still made for a positive experience.
