I came here on a Wednesday in August around 10:45 am for breakfast with family. We received friendly and prompt customer service by Amy. She even put on a fresh pot of decaf for us. Our table ordered one of the 2-2-2 breakfast (subbed fried mushrooms for bacon), as well as, two veggie omelettes. All breakfasts came with hash browns and a choice of toast from the Portofino Bakery. They were cooked perfectly and were delicious! It was fun watching the planes taking off and landing right out our window! The Spitfire was pretty quiet when we arrived, but by noon the place was hoping! We were glad we came early. We will definitely be back! Might try out happy hour...Food and drink specials sound good.

Great food! Wife had eggs benny and hash browns which she said were the best fn hash browns she has ever had in her life. I had the B52 which was awesome (pic attached). Great place to eat and will come back again if I am in the area!

Great food, large menu. Tucked away just west of the main airport terminal. Nice place for a lunch or dinner.

Excellent breakfast / brunch and very friendly service. If you find yourself out by the airport it is worth a detour to the Spitfire.

meal was ok, my daughters halibut was very dry, fettuccini Alfredo sauce bland, I would certainly go back and try something different

Another one of my favorite's. Good quality food, variety, good portions, and arguably one of the best spots next to the YYJ runways.

Eggs Benny was great! Husband and been touring town eating eggs Benny and thinks it's the beat so far (I think Johns Place was better).

Our group had a little bit of everything and all was good. I definitely recommend here for breakfast! It is a small place but they are very efficient. Probably the best thing I had were the potatoes. I do love how they smash and fry them so there are crispy bits. The bacon was really good too! The only real negative is everything needed salt and I am not usually a salt person but dang! Try it if you are in the area and able to wait.

We ordered Deluxe Beef Burger ($18.50), Clubhouse Sandwich ($16), Chicken Strips ($15.50) and a can of Coke ($3). All the food had a heart portion. They were freshly made and fries were perfectly done. We had our food with fries which also can be substituted for salad or soup. Everything was delicious. Portion was bigger than I thought it would be. Chicken strips were crispy and tender. Deluxe Burger was amazing it was loaded with different toppings including mushrooms. Clubhouse was pretty good as well. There were so much fries. We could eat fries endlessly while tummies feeling full. This restaurant really IS a hidden gem in Sidney. I'll remember to stop by again on my future visits to Victoria.

The seafood chowder was also disappointing two people in our group had it, It had a strange flavor and wasn't something we enjoyed. Unfortunately, the fish and chips didn't make up for it. The batter was very greasy, and one piece of fish on each of our plates was mushy instead of flaky and fresh. There were four of us that got it. The coleslaw had no flavor as well. The tarter sauce was really good. Overall, the long wait, the unusual plate-sharing policy, the odd-tasting chowder, and the poor quality of the fish made for an underwhelming experience. We were expecting much better.

I sure don't know who the folks are that lavish praise here because our experience certainly fell short of those kudos. To be fair, the wait time was tolerable and service was ok. But that's where our kudos end. It all then comes down to the food offering! Everything starts with a cup of joe, and the beverage they served was bitter and terrible (hello, Starbucks). We then changed to decaf, and unfortunately that tasted of residual pot cleaner with a hint of some form of coffee. Egad. Aside from its mediocre taste, the main dish was also a disappointment: the so-called Traditional Benny with .95 cent shredded potato option. Found it difficult to cut then chew through the muffin base, and the few bacon hunks that were hiding just under the egg and hollandaise sauce were as tough as genuine shoe leather. To add 'insult to injury', the shredded potatoes lacked any sort of taste (other than chopped straw) -- typical of inexpensive (reheated) frozen side-foods. To top it all off, while paying the bill they scattered a few hunks of packaged bubble gum onto the table. Meh, that was barely edible too. I think we were at our table for maybe 1/2 hour and could hardly wait to leave. At $50+ for barely edible food, we can't see ourselves returning to five and dime.
