Spitz used to be pretty great and my favorite spot to go! But something has changed. The wraps aren't a as full as they used to be, there was like 2 pieces of meat. They weren't crisped anymore, so it was more like a tortilla wrap. Forward facing service was not thrilled to be there, and didn't like questions asked. Oh Spitz Oh SPitz, why has thou forsaken me? I should have written my first review a few months ago, when they were one of the bright spots in the Utah eating out scene for us. Wife and I ate at the SPitz in Sugarhouse before we moved here and LOVED it. Street cart fries, Donner wrap, salad, all very YUM! Street cart fries, are what you imagine when a food truck full of french fries or sweet potato fries runs full speed into a middle eastern restaurant, and the ensuing mayhem creates a nuclear fusion of deliciousness. A steel loaf pan(clever) jammed full of french fries topped with feta, kalamata olives, beef and lamb strips, tomatoes and pepperocini (i know not authentic but still really good). Same think in the wrap, but in a piece of lavash. Ditto the salad topped with the same delicious stuff adding a piece of FRIED lavash that's absolutely wonderful. the cilantro sauce is cool and refreshing and the spicy harissa moroccan sauce has a great depth of flavor So, that meant when we moved here, we may or may not, depending on who you talked to have gone to the one in Lehi a couple of times since its the closest. Also for work meetings, you get the drift. Completely different vibe than sugarhouse. Definitely a work lunch kind of place, which is not surprising given the location. Customer service is ranging from mediocre to appallingly slow. Serving portions are directly proportional to the "Tip", which is a ridiculous form of extortion for a self serve restaurant, where the only service they provide is taking your order and bringing you your food. how do you know you say? Let's just say i may have conducted an experiment, based upon one experience, over a few trips with some more generous tips to none, and the food portions were in direct relationship to it. My last order prompted this review. you could see the empty bottom of my street cart fries container in a couple of places when my order came. Shame on you, for what amounts to extra pay extortion. I won't be going back to the Lehi location. I will save my serious Spitz craving for a trip to SLC. read more

If you like Mediterranean you will love this place! It's pretty garlicky so beware where you go after eating here, but it's worth it! I love the Döner salad and the Döner wrap. I love the pita bread and fried chickpeas on the salad, they add a great crunch! read more

We live in Idaho and this is our FAVORITE place to eat when we drive through Utah. We never miss it. We had such great service today. The food was delissshhh and just how we like! Food has to be really good to be willing to travel 40 miles to eat. This place is a must visit for anyone who likes interesting flavors and textures. We had the Street cart fries "the works" with beef and lamb döner. The fries are hot and crispy and the flavors mix deliciously in your mouth. Its a good bang for your buck too. They have a nice dietary restrictions menu with gluten-free and vegan options as well as a list of dairy-free sauces. This took a lot of the stress out of ordering. I will say, the gluten-free item I ordered was much smaller than the same priced gluten-full version of the same item and much less tasty. When Spitz moved to Lehi we were so excited! We loved going to the downtown and sugar house locations, but unfortunately we have been less then thrilled with this location. We have given it more chances then we would normally would in hopes it would get things figured out, but tonight was probably our last visit. We have ordered to-go probably 20 times since they opened a few years ago and I would say they got our order wrong 15 of the 20 times. And not just a little wrong, completely wrong. I started asking them to repeat back the order to me and that didn't even work. Tonight's order was actually correct but the bread of the sandwich was stale and the fries were super soggy. We usually have to cook the fries again once we get home. I am very sad that they just can't seem to get things together and hope that the other locations still make our favorite doners better then this location. read more

Yummy fusion food, and friendly staff! If we go out during the pandemic, we go during late lunch/early dinner, so we were the only patrons there and got to enjoy the space. Great decor, mellow atmosphere and lighting. The döner was the highlight of a very nice meal. read more

So yummy! I love the wraps and the loaded French fries! The sauce they give u with your fries is delish. It is brand new so it's not crowded yet, but I am guessing it will get crowded quickly as people discover it. My only complaint is that they keep the soda behind the bar. It makes getting a refill kind of a pain because u have to ask someone, but other than that the food is great;) good service-nice people. read more

i've passed by spitz too many times to count since this location opened in lehi & we finally just checked it out last month, so this review is a little over due. my husband recently went vegan & i'm vegetarian so we've been trying lots of new places recently since we can't frequent some of the places we have before. spitz has options for pretty much all diets which is nice, they serve up meat but they can also vegan-ize anything on the menu & have some tasty meatless options as well! we came on a monday night in december & both ordered the street cart döner wrap with falafel. it comes with a tzatziki dressing so my husband just had his without to make it vegan. we also each had a side of the waffle sweet potato fries, & all the dressing we tried was absolutely bomb! the food was super good, just a little expensive for my liking. the place was nearly empty that night & the service is friendly. all in all, it's a nice place & we'd definitely go back. all the hype i've heard about the place over the years is pretty legit! read more

Sooo happy they added a location here - it's right off the highway and actually open in a Sunday in Utah County! Great patio space with shade for my dog. Food service is fast and tastes great. My favorite is the doquitos and the red sangria ($16). Clean bathrooms and plenty of seating. Definitely coming back! read more

I really wanted to love this place. My sister goes to the one in Salt Lake all the time, and raves about it. For starters, I hate the decor. The Lehi mural is cool, but all the kitschy Knick knacks made no sense, and the whole place just felt really cold and uninviting. I was expecting something that matched the theme of the restaurant. It was really random. My husband and I both ordered the doner basket ($13). What the...? It's served on a piece of paper in a loaf pan. We both just stared at it like, what the heck are we supposed to do with this? It was impossible to eat without everything falling out. The fries and salad were on the bottom, with all the veggies and toppings on top. There was no way to get a bite of everything together. There was barely any feta. I couldn't find any tzatziki at all. Mine was covered in an over abundance of pepperoncinis. I finally grabbed a plate to try to spread things out, but the plate was too small, so stuff kept falling off. The paper the food was served on started to disintegrate. I ate some of it without realizing. I had the mixed meat. The chicken was like jerky! I finally got a to-go box and dumped everything in it, which made it easier to spread things out and eat it all together. My husband got so frustrated with the whole fussy mess he just didn't eat it. This dish definitely needs to be served in a different dish. I don't get the whole loaf pan thing. Is it supposed to be part of the kitsch? It's just a pain. The falafel was the most flavorful thing in the loaf, and was the only thing that had the flavor of Mid-East, or Mediterranean spices. All in all just really disappointed. I usually avoid this part of town because the traffic is a nightmare. There are a few places I will fight the traffic for. This isn't one of them. read more

The only reason for three stars was we felt that the help was quite a bit distracted as we were there and as a result we had to keep reminding them what specific drink we had ordered and some of the specific changes that we had requested. Food was pretty close to what we're used to but the sauces were watery and flavorless. Glasses guy took our order and was very nice. The other worker, moustache boy was terrible and rude...to us. He was pleasant enough to others but apparently he had some issue with us, maybe it was our melanin. Avoid this location and moustache boy. read more

Yesterday was a rough day and I felt the need to stress eat. Spitz came up in the "try something new" section of my doordash list and caught my attention because I do love Greek food. I ordered a Doner bowl for myself, which is half fries, half salad, with gyro meat and all the yummy things on top. And a gyro for my daughter. Wow--I never expected anything so amazing. The cross-cut sweet potato fries were amazing. Everything was delicious and we're ordering from Spitz again tonight. I think I can make this a quick review. I have been having a lot of debates with people about what overrated means. Overrated doesn't mean that someone or something is bad. It means that the level of rating people give to it is more than it deserves. This place is good solid 3 or 4 type position. Not a ton of flavors going on and a little overpriced for the amount of food that you get. But I was satisfied afterward and that is okay. The decor is super cool and they tailor it to the area that they are in which I loved but the decor isn't food and basically all I care about is food. I had the doner with pommes... so it had fries in it which I think may have been my mistake it adds less flavor. It tasted fresh which I really appreciated it was light so it didn't fill me up, which isn't a big deal. Great textures going on in it, but because of the lack of flavor it was almost a home run but not quite. THE VERDICT: Not for me. Mistakes happen, I make them at my job all the time, but how a company deals with mistakes determines whether or not I'll support that business again. I thought I was not going to like this place. When we walked in I saw tables with bench seats, kind of like a cafeteria, so I figured the food would follow suite. But by the end of our visit my first impression had been replaced with being pleasantly surprised. Not only was the food good (my favorites were the hummus and the sweet potato fries), but it was kid friendly (chalk walls & chalk, board games, kids meal, and my kids loved the bench seats) and my favorite part was the great customer service.
