I love Spitz, Great food. My favorite is the Remix Bowl I'd eat there more if there were more variety in their options. The bowls and wraps are essentially the same thing in a different form. Also all the bowls have similar ingredients and don't seem to taste that different so I tend to eat the same things every time I go there. Would have given 3-4 stars for the food but the staff was terrible. Food first: both the lamb/beef and the chicken were delicious. Not necessarily authentic to a real German doner but tasty. The street cart doner and Mediterranean were equally great except for the tzatziki sauce. Skip that. We loved the pita chips and falafel, so crispy but not oily. Now the staff: could have cared less we ate here. No thank you, no smiles, and definitely no apology when they messed up my order. It was supposed to be chicken but was served lamb/beef. Not only did she ask to verify on my receipt, but then picked up my plate and I watched as she had a very long conversation with the 2 sketchy looking cooks who seemed to be confused that chicken is not the same as beef. I actually thought they might come try and convince me it was my mistake. After 15 min was served my correct order with no apology and attitude again that it must be my problem not theirs. If we're being honest, 80% of the reason we come here is for the fries. Don't get me wrong, the food is super yummy but their fries with their super special magical sauce tie for first place on my list of best ever French fries. This time we tried the mixed fries and the sweet potato were pretty good but they just don't live up to the thin cut fries. If you are even THINKING about going here- DO IT. Um, hi Street Cart Donner Wrap. I saw you. I ate you. I want you again in my life. Reasons why this was a 5 star experience. 1. The customer service was top notch. If this is your first time- they have a menu with photos to help you know what everything is. Ask for it, because hi, everything looked incredible. 2. They bring your food to you if they're not too busy AND they always clear the table for you. It's so small, but I love it. 3. THE FLAVOR- wow. Every bite was packed full of incredible flavors. Fresh tasting Mediterranean food with a Greek street eats feel. They have wraps but they weren't like gyros, more like burritos. The also have loaded fries which are popular. The fries are thicker than thin. There is a choice of lamb (very tender), chicken (wasn't cooked right but they took it back and corrected that), a mix of chicken lamb and beef, and falafel. I had the bowl which seemed the freshest, lots of ingredients and natural flavors. They fried the chick peas and I dug that. Quinoa was cooked well. The falafel isn't the best I've had but pretty good flavor. The decor is a hodgepodge of trendy nonsense that doesn't quite gel but the staff are friendly and the food makes the experience worth it. The Berliner Bowl with beef/lamb (they're combined into one) is my go-to for its dynamic flavors and ingredients: cabbage slaw, pickled red onion, feta, roasted corn, quinoa, diced tomato, and cucumber with lavash strips. We've eaten in and gotten Door Dash but feel like the portions to-go are smaller than eating in. They accidentally added fried garbanzo beans once... I didn't like their texture with that bowl. There's a shelf of games in the corner plus TVs with news or sports. Their kombucha on tap is fun, but more expensive than the bottled stuff. Worth trying if that's your jam. I wish the Berliner name wasn't used for the wrap, bowl, AND fries. A new guy rang me up for a wrap instead of bowl and I can't stand the wraps (hard for me to bite through and the little bits fall out; tried a chicken wrap once and it was dry like jerky). It was a to-go order, so I didn't find out it was wrong until I got to work. Spitz is my favorite place to eat in the Thanksgiving Point area these days because it tastes fresh, light, and flavorful. I had a wrap with falafel on 3 different occasions. Every time it tasted like it had cinnamon in it, which ruined the taste of the falafel. I talked to them about it and they said it didn't have cinnamon, but when I got it, it still tasted like cinnamon. I gave up and did not return. Probably my favorite place to eat. I would always drive downtown to the SLC location and now I only have to go to Lehi! I love just about everything on the menu. Everything is so fresh and flavorful! I love all the fresh ingredients like all the vegetables. So tasty. I like to get the beast mode on my kebab because they add more veggies and French fries into it. Beast mode makes it spicy too but you can ask to keep the spicy out. Beef and lamb is the best option. Also, sidenote:Their pita strips are absolute perfection. ~Everything is make for glory~ The combination of ingredients gives you some of the best tasting food. High-high quality and worth every penny. The atmosphere is also really cool. Very unique wall art and style that make the experience that much better. The SLC location is my favorite. All the utensils, napkins, water, sauces, and boxes are out in the eating area for you to take as much as you need. Really nice aspect. The quality and partion size has severely diminished since I last visited Spitz for a meal. the Hero meat, lamb, was dry and tasteless. The fries were cold and burnt. The best part of the meal as the Greek salad. The staff were in my opinion seems far too distracted by their phones. Spitz is a welcome addition to the Lehi scene. I'm all about adding some more options and my first impression of the place was pretty good all things considered. I came in one evening and the place was moderately busy - maybe 15 people or so one evening and I went on a bit blind and asked for a recommendation. I ended up getting a suggestion for the 'street fries' with some chicken. It was actually pretty great. The plate had a flavorful aioli sauce and the fries were nice and crisp. The amount of chicken from the spit was a bit lacking (very few pieces of protein). Overall it was a great blend of feta, aioli, crispy fries etc. the single olive was a bit misplaced... but hey - overall was pretty happy with the cart / street fries. POSITIVES: The garlic aioli sauce is the saving grace for these döners. When I first saw it, I was expecting fry sauce. But I was surprised to find that it was instead a creamy sauce variant of the traditional aioli. I just had to ask for extra, not just for my fries but the wrap as well. The regular fries had a perfect texture. Also, if it were up to me, I would come back to this place just for the cinnamon pita sticks alone! The employees were quite helpful, friendly, and quick to attend to our needs. NEGATIVES: not gonna lie, there were a few things that let me down. Number one being the sweet potato waffle cut fries. I was so excited to try them! But I felt they were almost too thin and crispy. Don't get me wrong, I love me some crispy fries... These just needed more substance. Also, the street cart wrap was very bland (needed sauces, or more seasoning, or something added inside to give it some oomph). The decor was... Interesting. An awkward blend of hippie and trendy that didn't quite jive with the feel of Mediterranean cuisine. In addition, I feel the price was pretty steep for a wrap that consisted of mostly veggies, with sparce thin slices of beef & lamb. We spent $23 on a single wrap, a reg side of fries, and one order cinnamon sticks for dessert. At most, they should have charged $15-16. Lastly, while the garlic aioli sauce was very delicious, it is a double edged sword. The strong taste permeated for the good half of the day. Be warned that if you burp, the garlic stench will come back to haunt you. It is strong enough to ward off even the fiercest of vampires. PRICE: roughly $12-20 per person. We tried the street cart wrap with falafel, Mediterranean wrap with beef and lamb, doquitos, street fries and the baklava. Food was tasty, tons of veggies- only complaint would be there's not enough sauce in the wraps so definitely order extra sauces! Would pass on the baklava- it didn't taste fresh. Great Greek food in a fun restaurant! Came here with my sister after a day of shopping at the outlets. It was the perfect, refreshing pit stop! I loved the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. Brand new Mediterranean style "street food." This place is meant to be hip and cool. They have mismatched and yet well chosen decor (sprayed painted animals, murals with torn edges, the industrial look, vinyl records, and a taxidermy goat), board games (Guess Who?, Connect Four, Candy Land, etc) for guests to play with, and large tables to share with other customers. They have fun music playing (but not too loud) and they serve alcohol (not my thing but a big deal for many). So the ambiance is fun, albeit, perhaps, a little trite. The food was mediocre at best. The beef and lamb were descent, but not much to be found in the wraps. And while it was described as coming with sauces including tzatziki (the Berlin döner), it very little sacude, barely distinguishable. Good thing the veggies were fresh and crisp. Service was lacking. The tables looked clean but they were sticky. As I observed the employee who was wiping the tables, she used the same rag on all the tables without rinsing or even adding additional cleaner. Our server, while friendly, was clueless about what she was delivering. She delivered our order and basically said, I don't know what is what, I'm new so good luck. If I have a döner craving, I'll just drive a little further to Rimmels in Provo. The place is not trendy--it is just a hole in the wall--but their döners are much better. A Spitz in Lehi. I never thought I'd live to see the day. I've been to the other locations and always enjoyed them. This one is just as good, food-wise, as the others. The ambiance is a little lacking compared to the other locations, but that's more a Lehi issue than a Spitz issue. The food is great. Street Cart Fries with "The Works" is one of my favorite meals. The garlic aioli, pepperoncinis, feta cheese, and olives give one of the best flavor combinations there is. Street Cart Fries are usually enough food for myself and another. If we're a little more hungry, the fried pita strips with hummus is also really good. I've usually found the falafel to be a little bit too dry for me. If I'm not feeling the Street Cart Fries for one reason or another, the Berliner Fries, Spicy Doner, or Doquitos are all delicious substitutes. I've been to all of the various Spitz at least a couple dozen times now and I keep going back. Having one next to work and home now is amazing! I used to have to drive to SLC to get my Spitz fix now it's down the road from me, happy day. I came here with a bunch of coworkers. Most of us got to street cart fries. One got a salad and loved it. The street cart fries I had I substituted sweet potato fries. The fries were a little harder than normal. Great flavor just a little too crunchy. Generous portions. I love how when you get it loaded it comes with 1 olive, funny but okay. I got lamb but it was labeled beef. Actually between all of us we got beef or chicken and the meat looked the same. I usually love this place but we had a bad experience tonight. We came in to order to-go. It wasn't extremely busy. We ordered 6 entrees and sat down to wait after 30 minutes we watched the two tries after us (2 and 3 people each) all get their food. By the time we got ours, there was a meal missing. I asked for that meal and they only served the entree without the side that we ordered. (And when we got home it was the wrong meat) When I asked for the side I was met with annoyance. I was very polite and the staff was rude. The cashier also asked us to give her exact change because she's "bad at math". Management should train their staff better hire more competent people.
