Been there twice and I love the sweet potato fries and the wrap with Beef & Lamb meat is mouthwatering.

INCREDIBLE FOOD. The taquitos were my favorite part. HOWEVER. The ambiance is terrible. I hate being that person to ask the staff to turn off the music but I couldn't stand it! Not only was it loud but it was Panic! At the Disco playing in between terrible screamo songs. I don't know who is in charge of their interior design and branding but it is atrocious. The bright colors and designs do not match the food. I will continue to go but the environment is not welcoming at all. However, the staff was accommodating which is worth noting because I hated being so annoying and asking them to turn the music down. read more

Well for starters this isn't a traditional Greek place. Which wouldn't be bad if everything wasn't so blah ... crazy to say that cuz with all the ingredients and options you would think there would be a lot more flavor. Maybe it is the fact that everything seems really dry, more moisture would help especially on the wraps. And as far as the wraps I have one huge complaint ... don't put the wax paper all the way through the wrap ... was a puzzle to unwrap and not eat paper. I know that was somewhat trivial but my whole group was annoyed by it. I will say the Berlinger sauce was very tasty. And the incline cider with Marionberry was awesome. Just imagine the most delicious fries you've ever tried, loaded with fresh veggies and feta cheese, smothered in a delectable sauce and topped with some good ole Doner meat. Spitz was so unexpected! My wife was first brought here by one of her girlfriends. Then she told me how good it was and took me on our date night! It was just as amazing as she said it was! I got the wrap with Lamb/Beef. So delish! My wife gets the "Doquitos" basically heavenly fried bread with meat. If you want something new and fresh, check out Spitz!! You won't regret it! read more

Unfortunately our experience tonight was awful. We have gone to Spitz several times prior and had great service. Tonight we were helped by Emma. She over charged us on a few items and told us it was how she had to enter it in the system. We ordered two orders of street cart fries with all the works and asked that the meat be put on the side. Instead of charging us 13.75 and simply putting the meat on the side...she charged us for the street cart fries and then a portion of meat so we paid 14.50 instead of the 13.75. Minor...but unfortunately that's not all. We had asked to use a BOGO that was sent to us. As part of the promo we needed to buy a drink. Instead of telling us what drinks we needed to choose from she charged us for a Diet Coke (we never got it) and then on top of that charged us for the Topo Pico. All in we paid for $6.49 for one drink which is ridiculous! She didn't want to refund us and said that's how it was. Already feeling frustrated we were expecting the normal size portions we normally get when going to that location, but when it arrived both orders were super small and about half of the size of what we normally have gotten in the past. Overall - being overcharged and having awful experience, we won't be recommending it to anyone or won't be planning to go pack to this location. We would hope that you will help make this situation right and that it will be brought to your awareness so it doesn't happen again to someone else. read more

Brand new Mediterranean place, that we've visited three times now. The food is maybe four star worthy but this place is woefully mismanaged! The last two times we've visited, we've waited over an hour, no exaggeration... on a week night... for takeout!!! The challenge is you wait in a long line and then wait three times that long for your food to come out! I am all for variety and was initially excited to see this restaurant open, but I can safely say this place won't last long running as is. read more

I tried parts of two different chicken döners, and both were a good effort, but flavorless compared to döners/shawarmas I've had in Europe and NYC. With the spices that should be involved in marinating and cooking the meat, plus the garlic sauce and the hot sauce, these things should pop in your mouth. Maybe it's too much lettuce/cabbage/cucumbers and not enough spices/sauces, but something about their recipe was just underwhelming. I work in the area and was expecting to be able to eat here so often that I'd basically send the owners' kids to college, but I don't see much reason to come back unless I can get more flavor out of the döners. Maybe I need to ask for extra sauce, but not sure I should have to. read more

I can not really say anything great or good about the place. Food was very disappointing and a little on the expensive side for what you got. Menu is scant at best. Decor is a little out there too. I loved this place! Went there for the first time last night and the food was AMAZING! I'm super picky, but loved the food. I had a beef and lamb mixed wrap, and some kind of loaded fries that were very very yummy. The pita and hummus is delicious, and a must have! Tried a falafel ball, and it was ok, I have had better of that, not in Utah though. Will go back often! They also are good with dairy free options as well, I can't have the yogurt sauces or feta cheese. read more

I need to start this by saying I have always been a BIG fan of Spitz. This was my first experience with this Spitz location and I was so dissapointed. We got it to go and they messed up our order and gave my husband the wrong thing and we sadly didn't realize it until we had gotten home. Also I clearly asked for my dressing on the side and low and behold it was smothered all up in my salad. Also if you were contemplating getting the chicken, don't...I repeat, DO NOT GET CHICKEN. Yum !! Tried this the other night it was soo good. I got the doner basket. Kinda $$ but worth it.

Very disappointing. The doners weren't bad but were extremely small and had very little meat in them relative to the price. Mostly full of vegetable filler. I've had doners in many countries and these were definitely the smallest and probably the most expensive I've eaten, including US cities that have much higher costs of living than SLC. My doner was wrapped tightly with the wax paper, so tightly that the paper was part of the doner and I had to unwrap it to get the paper out which ended with the doner kind of exploding. We took our order to go and ran into the problem that they don't label anything. A small annoyance until you realize that their food looks almost exactly the same and is mostly differentiated by sauces. We struggled to figure out which item was which, for example the street cart fries and Berliner fries looked identical until you dug into them and found a hint of red sauce. I still don't know if each person got the doner that they ordered. Despite that annoyance, the fries were tasty and reasonably priced. read more

They had a limited number of gluten-free options I don't know why this state feels that vegan means gluten-free most vegan food has a lot of vegetable protein which is what celiac's can not eat. Also the one food I could eat I had also expressed a need to have it without a lot of pepper starch is I'm allergic to cap Sason and they dumped Sarot chat all over it I have never had Greek food that had any such heat or crap dumped into it very disappointed read more

We love this place. Its different from your usual fast food places and the vibe is chill. You don't get the "rougher crowd" because it is a little more spendy but its worth it... The food and atmosphere are amazing, but the best part of all is that you'll be waited on by the famous American musician Michael Lee Aday. You may know him better as Meat Loaf and his service is so fast it's like a Bat Out of Hell. I highly recommend the Street Cart Fries with the Works, Beef and Lamb as your choice of meat and a mix of regular and sweet potato fries. Went here on a whim one night after trying out their fried pita strips at their SLC location (which by the way have taken us there for those alone more than once) and I have to say... It was kind of a let down! It was a busier night, which is great for the restaurant since it only recently opened! But my pita was dry and the tortilla kind of fell apart in the wrap it came in before I was halfway done. I was hoping for stronger flavors but maybe it was made exactly like an authentic pita and I can't fault it for that. I also had to go to the counter to get a refill for a soda (which is not really a problem), I just wish they had a machine for customers to fill their own drinks since they don't have waiters frequently managing the tables. Something that really made this place stand out from other restaurants is their eccentric decor and the board games they let you play while you eat! I'm usually very optimistic about my experiences at restaurants and am willing to try them multiple times so that I have a concrete opinion. So, when I come again, I will have to try something else! read more

The service is great but food is always severely underwhelming. Fries are ALWAYS cold, & meat is lukewarm. Luckily they serve you out of bread pans (why? Don't know) so half of your food ends up on the table/floor, saving you from having to consume it. read more
