Hidden away at the edge of Arizona State University campus between student housing apartments and the green space of the school. Right off of busy Apache Road. Right in the heart of Tempe. It's a little tricky to find parking as it appears it is only meter street parking available nearby. We lucked out at lunchtime on a Saturday to find a spot right on our front. The small shop is very unique. The art on the walls is interesting to look at. They have bottled soft drinks and water. The staff were very friendly. Apparently, it has just been open about 2 months. The food was fresh and quick. The noodles in the macaroni were perfect. This isn't your kids' macaroni and cheese plate. It has a great kick to it but not too spicy. Seasoned fries line the bottom of the large dish they are covered by a hearty pile of macaroni and cheese that was so well seasoned. The view from the patio was really beautiful. The weather was cooperative for outdoor seating. It is a rather small restaurant with less than 15 indoor seats. The patio area is shared with other restaurants/yogurt shops in the strip mall area. I definitely recommend it. Being a vegetarian, it is nice to be able to order anything on the menu. While still being able to bring my carnivore friends along because they have several meat protein choices to add to the dishes. Definitely recommend for a different than fast food experience. Very casual and comfortable place to eat. Prices were fair for the amount of food. My $15 meal will serve me for 2 meals. Go try it, I think you will like it. read more

The food is AMAZING! I was visiting Tempe for the weekend and saw this was 5 miles from where I was staying. At first, I was skeptical because they do not have the full Spitz menu listed the same as other stores. HOWEVER, I got exactly what I usually get thanks to the guys at the counter AND I feel like I got more food than I'm used to in LA, Cali. Service was incredible from a college town: very fast, accurate, considerate, and welcoming. Therefore, I say the ambiance was a 10/10. this place is soooo good. the kid working was there by himself. he was taking orders and making all of them and had a dining room FULL of people waiting, but was still SO nice & accommodating- even helped us decide what we wanted. everything we ordered was perfect, too. fries are some of the best i've ever had. not a single complaint and worth the short wait. someone needs to give that kid a raise or something. he was great read more

AVOID this place like the plague. The food is SOO bad. We ordered two combo dishes and both were inedible the quality was so bad.

College students are the target audience. It's difficult to park but you're not supposed to drive here. You should walk from class or a dorm. The food isn't super unique (salad and go makes a similar wrap for 1/2 the price) or made with love (kebob grill N go). But it's meant to be quick college food and it hits the mark on that. The staff was super friendly and gave us a nice discount. The food was made inside of 10 minutes, which is amazing. And the place has some nifty decor - it's tagged up and has a mac miller record on display. But it's got no soul. First thing I got was the sharky's street cart fries with chicken and the street cart wrap with lamb and beef. The street cart wrap was so delicious and refreshing with the crunchy cucumbers, I would definately get again! The sharky's street cart fries was also so mouth watering and not too overwhelming. As a dessert we got the baklava roll, and that was a great treat after our dinner, not to sweet, just perfect. The portion sizes there are huge and great to share with some friends or if your hungry, even by yourself! Once you walk in you are greeted by the friendly staff and the welcoming chill vibes, the decor is so cute, they definitely make you feel welcomed and want to stay awhile. This is a hidden gem. Stumbled upon this place while getting some ice cream nearby. I got the street cart fries!

Food was good but they took about 40 mins to have my food ready after placing an online order, and it wasn't busy at all.

So excited to see Spitz popping up here in AZ. My first experience was over a decade ago in Los Angeles. The cart fries are a basket of amazing mediterranean meat and flavors. I didn't care for the fries, it tastes like there may be sugar on them and the flavor just didn't go well with the wrap. The woman who helped me was polite and she made the wrap look pretty. Not a bad gyro but it's not worth $13.50 (card only, no cash) even if it comes with a few fries on it (note: fries are on the gyro, it's not a side of fries).
