I had the lunch special which consisted of a cheese pizza, lentil soup, and a salad. The salad was okay, just some lettuce and arugula with a tomato that still had the rind in it and no dressing. The lentil soup literally looked like wet dirt and had no taste at all. The pizza was basically a lot of bread, a little tomato sauce and some cheese. The service wasn't good. We sat down and it took about 15 minutes to get water even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Also the restaurant smelled like a campfire due to the pizza oven, so we ended up leaving out table inside to sit outside. Rotten ingredients!! I hate giving this place a bad review cause since we bought our first home 5 years ago near this restaurant we've been happy customers until this past Monday night. We ordered 3 pizzas, one of them was supposed to have Gorgonzola Cheese, Ricotta and Prosciutto it came just with regular cheese and ham. The other two both had sausage and the sausage was ROTTEN! We took a bite and had to spit it out cause the smell and how sour it was! It was disgusting! Needles to say we both got sick! We called the restaurant that same night to complain, the person on the phone said that the manager was out and he would call me on Tuesday. I'm still waiting for a call... I don't know if this due to the virus and maybe being short of staff or if they're trying to survive during this pandemic by trying to cut on expenses but to serve rotten meat is just wrong!!! We would've love to continued to support small businesses like this pizza place thru these hard times but our health comes first! Sorry but not sorry I would ever order from here AGAIN! read more

Pizza was extremely disappointing! The dough was hard, like old bread, and there was barely any sauce or cheese on the Pizzas. We ordered the Vegetarian pizza, which came with 3 slices of tomatoes, 4 tine slices of red peppers, 4 slices of artichokes and some olives and red onions. We had paid extra ($3.00) for Anchovies, and we literally got 3 slivers of them. The Brie and Pears pizza was equally "false advertising" cuz the "paper thin" slices of pears and almost none existant brie cheese, put in gloom my pizza loving heart. And to add insult to this experience, the pizza was cold. We could not believe such disregard and lack of care for the quality of the food serve. I question a restaurant that doesn't follow the basic principle of keeping "hot food hot". If that simple rule is not even follow, what could be expected of the safety standards being followed in that kitchen?? I use to order from spizzigo all the time. Last time I ordered I felt like my pizza tasted funky, not only my regular pizza but my Nutella pizza as well, the pineapples tasted awful like old. But, I didn't really pay much attention to it. Tonight I just received a pizza that the goat cheese is clearly expired. The smell was terrible the second I opened it, imagine the taste. I want to say THANK YOU for your horrible, rude and borderline BIAS service. I love trying new things and would have most likely found something I like if the service had been better. After not liking something I tired, saying sorry for not liking it and offering to substitute the meal I did not eat for anything else I was treated horribly. I would not say the food is amazing (FORM WHAT I TRIED), but I would say the service is horrendous! I like to keep things short, so after being ignored and charged for a meal I took one bit of, the sever told us the manager wasn't there. Stopped here by chance as I had business in the building the restaurant is located. By the name outside I thought it was a pizza joint where I could grab a quick bite. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was a sit down restaurant. The ambiance is very nice and comfortable, not dressy but also not flip flop casual, somewhere in between. The waitress was nice and very attentive, she gave me a menu and I looked it over. Being my first time here I wasn't exactly sure what to order and she confirmed the the gnocchi was excellent. I ordered the gnocchi with pink sauce. The table next to me was eating a prosciutto pizza with arugula which looked delicious and a salad which had apples, blue cheese, walnuts and what appeared to be a raspberry vinaigrette perhaps. After placing my order I inquired about a small salad because my neighbors salad looked so enticing. Sadly their portions are very large and need to be shared with another person. Don't get me wrong, I think that's great! I was just slightly disappointed there were no options for a table for 1 and stayed with the wish I could have had that salad. The gnocchi arrived very fast and it was definitely delicious. I hadn't had gnocchi in a long time and I absolutely loved it. Being a foodie I couldn't help but to feel something was missing. I went in to their website and ordered the focaccia bread. I wanted something to dip in to the sauce. That too arrived quickly and was made fresh to order. It did not disappoint. I will definitely be returning with my #2 and sharing the beautiful salad I left wanting along with a new dish. I guess the only criticism I have which I hope would be constructive is, I wish they had a small salad option or a lunch (salad/meal) combo so that one can truly indulge without having left overs. The pizza is great but it's unfortunate you can't enjoy it cause you're too busy thinking how thirsty you are from lack of a water refill when you order a spicy dish. If a larger party with a higher tip potential comes and you forget about everyone else then you are not doing your job right and you will miss out on a good tip from everyone else. Tried many time usually good today I ordered 2 fruiti de mare gnoccis a a breaded chicken and a browning with ice cream. The gnoccis was a ridiculous petition based in the price the fruiti de mare was ok no as Usal I called to let them know the lady say sorry but that is the portion that's all. WOW really ? This is a great place to grab a quick cheap bite that isn't fast food. They're salads are delicious and os are their Paninis. I haven't tried their pizza but I hear it's good. Their gelato gets a lot of attention, but I'm not that big of a fan of it. I think it could be better. read more
