Quality is poor, workers are not thorough and dishonest. After the "the works" car wash, there was still bird poop on car. They also pulled off a door handle and when I noticed the handle was missing after going through the car wash, the manager asserted that my car was already missing the handle when I arrived and that I've come to this place a couple of times previously with the handle already missing which is an outright lie. After arguing with the manager for ten minutes, an employee comes to the front with the door handle that they had pulled off. The manager apologized, said that's what his employees told him and he asked what more I wanted from him. The fact that he basically said I was lying goes against the core principle of customer service. It's dishonest, unethical and unprofessional. If you break or lose something, take ownership of your mistake and don't accuse the customer of lying. I'm never returning to this location again. Your staff are STEALING items from your customer's cars. I thought the Holly Hill dump pass was just a one-off. Annoying, but replaceable. I had a high quality, high bandwidth USB-c cable for google maps, and now it's gone from my friend's car. We aren't rich Greenwich pigs. I'm unemployed on a tight budget. This shit isn't cheap. If you have to come home after a car wash and vacuum your own car, you know you received a shoddy clean. Considering the price is now $36 (I don't know how it jumped 6 dollars in just a few months) to get a basic clean this is outrageous. The workers just don't care. I have been going to Splash in Cos Cob for 20+ years. They have consistently done great work, despite being more expensive than competitors. This weekend was the last straw. I got the Wheel Express - the same thing I usually get. For many years it hovered around $25. This time is cost $38. Think about that: $38 for a car wash. There is nothing that can justify such an exorbitant price. They did a great job. But for $38, I want someone to come to my house and wash it in the driveway. I feel Splash's pricing has gotten out of control. It's a complete ripoff. I will never go to them again. read more

We were (admittedly unwisely) transporting diesel fuel in our SUV when the container leaked, spilling the fuel in the back of the car. Although I made every effort to absorb the fuel with towels, and repeatedly scrubbed the area with carpet cleaner, the smell was evident, very strong and obnoxious! We went to the Cos Cob Splash and they were wonderful. They kept the car for most of the day in order to identify the sources of the odor and to eradicate the odor with an "odor-removing" machine, cleansers and deodorizers. They found areas where the leaked fuel had flowed that we hadn't even thought of. Ever Gonzalez did an outstanding job! The diesel fuel odor was removed. In addition, the interior and exterior of the car shines like new. We now have the car, and even my wife's super sensitive nose is happy! We would definitely strongly recommend Cos Cob SPLASH for car detailing and resolving difficult odors to remove. read more

BEWARE OF SCAM CHARGES. I have been a customer of Splash for almost 20 years. I moved to Greenwich in 2001 and I almost got completely scammed. It's unfortunate but because it was so simple for their employee to do, I need to alert those patrons. I came in and ordered a "Super Splash" which is a basic wash plus wax etc. The employee ordered a super splash and put a sticker on my windshield for a super splash. But the receipt he handed me was for a service that I never heard of. The cashier rung me up for a $39.99 car wash while it was supposed to cost $27.00 I asked what was up and at first they quickly realized my "requested service" (which was on the windshield) was $27 but the invoice was for a $40 car wash. Initially, instead of apologizing, they said it was "an honest mistake". Doesn't make sense. If i didn't say anything, my car was going to get a $27 service (per whatever they stuck on my windshield) and I would have lid $14 more I have my credit to prove they charged me $39.99 initially. And only after I complained, did they apologize. BEWARE. I WAS ANNOYED. AND CERTAINLY NEVER USING THEM AGAIN. They lost an 18 year customer and if they simply apologized from the start, I woild have overlooked this BUSINESS MUST BE HURTING. BEWARE read more

Last Friday I took my BMW M3 for the works ($ 34.00.) After they claimed it was finished, I did a final check. The cup holder was still coffee stained, I pointed this out to a manager! His response was we usually just clean the dashboard. I told for the charge I wanted it taken care of. Begrudgingly I cleaned it in a half assed was. Not impressed by the car wash. Came here as it was a touchless car wash and we were in the neighbourhood. Very small and tight place. It was a bit expensive, cheapest car wash option was $21. It looked clean when it came out but when we wiped the car dry with some paper towels at the gas station down the street, the paper towels were showing black. It worked to wash off the salt on our car, but not if you are looking for a fully clean car. read more

I just came from Splash Cos Cob, CT. I pay a ridiculous amount for unlimited car washes and yet they do a lousy job. Once I got on the highway driving home I noticed that they completely missed the passenger side of my windshield. It wasn't cleaned at all. They never wash off the bugs on the windshield or on the body of the car. They were supposed to treat my tires and didn't do that. What am I paying all that money for. I could do a better job myself. We specifically went here for the hand wash to not have any scratches from dirt being stuck in the motorized brushes.... We left with two large GASHES that went to the metal part of the hood. One was on a headlight, how do you even scratch a headlight? The guy washing the car had a watch on, and another had a bracelet. I figure one of them did it while a clasp got caught. I said something to the manager before I left and he SCREAMED to look at the signs stating they aren't responsible. I mentioned this to two people from the area and said they've had something similar happen. No apology and met with hostility. How are they still in business? Never again. 20 minutes in a Friday afternoon at 3:30 with only 3 other cars in the entire process. The guy saw me look down at my watch and that's when things really slowed down. There were 3 people wiping down the car ahead of mine for 4 -5 minutes minutes then they did a quick bad job on mine. Will never go back here again! Entered car wash ~3:27, guy took my order ~3:29, sat 3-4 minutes waiting for vacuum, paid ~3:36 (car was just entering wash after I finished paying), car arrived out ~3:40, car sat until 3:45/3:46 while team of 3 took their time on the other car after they noticed I was in a rush, left ~3:48. Not 12 - 15 minutes. I'm not looking for a free wash, I just expect your employees to provide good service, work diligently and not act like a bunch of children. read more

Out of all the Splash car washes locally this is hands down our favorite. The parking is a little challenging but the employees have figured out how to make it work. Like most car washes I wish the water rinse stage was better/longer. But I like that my car is not getting pummeled by mechanical cleaning and the staff do a nice job touching up before you drive away. I used them for headlight restoration a few months ago and they did a good job, but came here recently for a $37 works car wash the quality for that price leaves more to be desired. Using a $15 off rewards coupon through the app to get the price down to $22 it seems to be almost worth it and what you would normally pay anywhere else but I would never pay full price for it. If you sign up for the app they do give you a free car wash on your birthday as well, which is nice. read more

Once I pulled out onto the Post Road, they were even more smudged/streaky then when I started. Very, very disappointing. And none of the floor mats were replaced properly. read more

This is my second splash car wash location that I am trying out. Unfortunately it is as bad as the first one. It does not seem like the workers get any training on how to wash a car by hand or even how to take time to dry the car. They use the same dirty rag every car and don't rinse the rack before going to the next car, So your car stays dirty. They don't even touch your rims unless you point it out to them. And when they put armorall on the tires, they do a very half ass job. And if you point out that the car is still wet, they will tell you that it's because the water is dripping. Meanwhile you can plainly see that they just rush and not pay attention to detail. If they don't like what they do, they should just get another job. read more

Wow, this place just has expensive car washes. I paid extra for the wheel wash and all they did was put stuff on tires to make them shiny but the caps were still filthy. I didn't notice any difference getting my car washed here or through the automated car wash at the gas station. I'll surely be going back to the gas station next time. read more
