This appears to be entirely for the amusement of the cashier, who is howling with laughter at a terrible mid-afternoon reality TV show. This gives the place the demeanor of a dive bar in a questionable neighborhood, or a low-rent eatery appended to a filling station in the rural south. When the cashier speaks, she talks louder than the TV. OWNERS: I'm assuming this person is a relative you are obligated to employee? Otherwise, you really should pay more attention to the environment you're subjecting your customers to. This is an expensive wash in a lovely suburban neighborhood. Your clientele aren't expecting this trashy environment. Also, remember that customers who spend the most - for detailing, for example - will end up in the waiting room the longest. Make it an experience THEY will enjoy. Put CNBC or CNN on. Not Jerry Springer or some other trash (at max volume) that amuses your cashier and annoys everyone else. And it's not hard to find cashiers who are presentable and polite. Your competition does. That's why I go there now. Did you get that? I was a customer for over 35 years. Over last year services at all locations has deteriorated significantly. I went to Cos Cob location because they were always better than other locations. The workers did not even dry off the car. It has little water marks all over it. The did vacum but they didn't wipe off the dash. I'm completely shocked. Stay away! read more

It may be just this location's management but DO NOT give Travis or any of them your credit card. They double charge again and again, and make it VERY difficult for you to get a refund, if ever. My first time there I was encouraged to buy a membership. When I gave them my card, I was charged for the higher priced membership without any explanation or consent. Not only that! They also charged me for an extra service which I never asked for nor received. When I noticed it, I called to bring to their attention and hoping it was an oversight, asking to simply correct the double charge. Travis who double charged, first passed me to another random person, who said I really need to speak to Travis and passed me back, who said he can't see the transaction on his computer and can't credit me. He said I should stop by in order to resolve the issue. When I did, he was not there and the guy at the desk said you don't even have a membership. I told him how could not have a membership and be charged twice on the first day and again for a second month of membership??? He said I should call 'corporate'. I called 'corporate' twice, waited and was literally disconnected before I even spoke to anyone. So I looked online for an email. No email to be found!!!! I called the store again and was told if I should stop by again, they would take care of my issue this time. When I stopped by again, a woman appeared from nowhere and proceeded to the cashier, and verbally harassed me. I decided to leave and try calling 'corporate' in order to put an end to this nightmare. I have been using this car wash for approximately 10 years and several as an "unlimited wash" member where they automatically charge credit card each month. Wash quality is good. But starting since COVID, they have taken to double charging my CC each month. Multiple phone calls and emails to resolve problem went unanswered until I posted negative reviews on google. Finally got a phone call from a very rude woman who's only response was "how much are you looking for" (only what they overbilled for) and someone will get back to you. Took my car to splash for the interior and exterior. The car is not very dirt just had some sand left over from summer and a few leaves, dust, the usual. Paid $27 plus a tip and it looks like they didn't even vacuum the floor mats. There is stuff still everywhere. They haven't been great in the past and thought let's just give them one last try. I work directly across the street from this splash car wash and have brought my black BMW several times in hopes that the service I receive would get better... Every time I have taken my vehicle here to get washed I am always disappointed in the quality of work I have paid for and always have to ask if they can re-wash my car, in which they tell me I have to pay extra. At the end of the day I always end up paying for a car wash here and bringing it back home to re-wash it. Terrible management and horrible customer service 10/10 wound not recommend to anyone. read more

I'm actually quite shocked to see any poor reviews at all about this place. Splash provides perhaps the best quality service on all of the east coast. It may be more expensive than other alternatives, but that's simply because they do the best job- paying full attention to detail. The guys work quite hard at this location to provide the best and most personable car washing experience I've seen at least. I've always come here to get a super interior because my car gets absolutely FILTHY within days of getting washed. After a short wait, my car is spotless. As if it's brand new. Every time. It smells good, it looks good, and it's completely scrubbed down and cleaned out. Every corner. I've never not been satisfied. read more

This car wash is horrible. I took my in-laws car to get cleaned. We got "the works" wash and paid around $30 for it. You would think for that price they would bother to vacuum the trunk, wipe down the center console, or do any type of cleaning. Spots and dirt were left around the cup holders. And there's no air freshener or anything offered. The outside was ok, about the same quality I could get driving through a $10 wash. Avoid this place. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! Just need a wash and a vacuum (had some kitty litter that leaked in the back seat) $30 + $1.50 for floor mats later, my 5 year old nephew could've done a better job! Barely vacuumed, literally missed most of the kitty litter, doors still had smudges from the snow and ice and they barely touched the wheel wells visible on a Jeep. Pathetic job and a total rip off. I just don't get Splash - or better, they just don't get it. Every time I have taken my car there, they miss spots, especially the wheels. I complained a couple of years ago and again in May when they missed spots and then put wax sealant over the dirt. In May I wrote a Yelp review and was contacted by the CEO who said he wanted to make things right. So he had his manager redo the car and even give me a free voucher. While I appreciated the redo, I tried to tell them that their cleaning process was lacking (I'll get to that in a moment) and they needed to look at it. The really didn't seem interested but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and removed my review. I took the car back about 5 weeks ago (didn't even use my voucher but instead purchased the works) and it came out with missed spots and the wheels were hardly cleaned - in fact, they looked worse since half was clean and the other half covered in that black grime. As I pointed out to them before, the problem with the process is that they put the car on a conveyer and two guys clean the car as it passes by - maybe 30 seconds or so of actual hand cleaning. Well duh! Yo can't hand clean a car properly that quickly even with each guy using two cleaning mitts. (Also, they don't seem to work top down - so the grit from the around the wheel wells and bottom skirt of the car can be picked up by the mitts and can potentially scratch the upper more visible parts of the car. A proper cleaning starts with a good rinse to get the loose dirt off and then with the sponges/mitt at the top and works down. When you get to the bottom you need to stay there and definitely rinse the mitts/sponges before going back up. Wheels should be cleaned with a separate sponge/mitt.) So the process is lacking, but to top it off, once the car is rinsed, no one actually looks at it. A team of guys starts drying and cleaning windows and tires, but they seem oblivious to the missed spots. Everyone is nice and wants to make me happy, and I hate to slam them, but it's just so stupid. They have several guys spending several minutes vacuuming and cleaning the interior at the start. Then several guys drying and cleaning for several minutes at the end, but the actual washing is two guys for 30 seconds and not doing it properly or thoroughly. And no one is checking that it is done right. I probably wouldn't have written this if they hadn't sent me a coupon saying they wanted me back [as a customer], but it just ticked me off remembering the frustration at seeing all the missed spots and how simple it would be for them to fix their process without any real extra cost. read more

No reply.Further- I dropped a copy of the letter off and left it at the manager's office. Finally, I put a full copy of the letter in the tip barrel. There was no reply-no response. Zero.This is the same motif, or conduct from 15 moths ago with the 'oily' full detail package I bought and from the same event which Splash failed to install the windshield protection product.In that event I wrote you too. You called me five months later- and said you'd get back to me with a solution. There was not a peep from you afterwards. As to the current spate of damage events I have made them clear to your staff on an "incident by incident" basis.And the symphony of shoddy work and surface damage to my car concluded yesterday with the gouged wheel.Your manager (Leo) showed me there is no "right side rail" that could gouge the wheel. The real culprit is that sharp-edged box the short men use to clean car roofs. Fact: I polished my wheels Sunday night.  I did not drive my car Monday -and on Tuesday I drove directly to Splash. Your outfit gouged the wheel, it is not a curb impact, because its clear when you look at the wheel. There is a 'gouge start- and a gouge stop' - its a momentary rotational impact - (because the man then moved the box). This is my 16th Model 911. Mark This is not the first time (nor the second) that I have written to you. First , near or about two years ago I got a new black Porsche Carrera. At three months old, I made an appointment for Splash in Greenwich to do a full detailing.At the time of the appointment (when it was made or scheduled) I confirmed that Splash would do the full detail AND apply the windshield protectant package that is advertised on the wall by your cashier.The manager at that time confirmed with me that he would do the full auto detail- THEN- apply the window treatment.The appointment was five days after the call to make it was made.I dropped my car off and walked to Greenwich library. But when I dropped it off I reconfirmed the two products (SERVICES) I ordered and expected to have performed Six hours later I walked back and my car returned to me. What was overly obvious was the ArmorAll or whatever 'goop' Splash applied to the leather seats. There was so much goop I had to wipe the driver's seat off in order to sit on it. I then had to take my gym towel and wipe the goop off the passenger seat too.I was also told they did not perform the glass protectant treatment. Frankly (since I always do my own hand washing) the windshield product was the true purpose of the visit to Splash.When questioned the cashier told me "we are out of stock" on the windshield treatment. I made her write a note to contact me when the product was in stock. No one ever called. Further, how is it the manager booked an appointment nearly a week in advance and failed to have the materials needed? Next, I wrote YOU a lengthy letter regarding this. It was mailed to Splash in Greenwich labeled "personal/confidential" YOU phoned me two months AFTER  I sent the letter. YOU told me that you'd make sure the Greenwich manager contacted me regarding clearing up the virtual oil spill on my seats- AND- to reschedule the windshield treatment.Thereafter- there was no word from Splash. In July of this year (because I am staying at a place with no water hose) I signed up for a monthly 'all inclusive package'. It is your unlimited product. It is about $55 a month.  I was told it was hand-wash and hand dry.This is what I observed 1- vacuum on entry: rubber hoses draped over the body of the car causing noticeable scratches to the clear coat.2- men wheel cleaning by using wood (oak) bristle brushes on sticks and they use a chopping motion. Oak is much harder than the powder-coated aluminum colored Porsche wheel. I sat and watched then 'stab' at the wheels much like someone might use a spade to chop ice. I instantly realized they were chipped the coating off my  What the entry people did was to use oak brushes as if they were chopping ice. Stabbing the wheels and chipping the surface.I then stopped them in the subsequent visits from vacuuming the car and from cleaning the wheels. I am once again disappointed and this time I have to enter a review. I have had this problem many times: I ordered the super shine service and told the attendant to be sure I received it. I stepped inside and watched my car go through the wash. It is very easy to see which service your car receives and clearly my car didn't receive the service I had requested which costs more than the one I received which was just the basic wash. I, once again, had to find a manager who gave me the wash for free. I wonder how many others think they are receiving services that they don't. Like my husband, who is a small business owner said when I told him the story, "why is it so hard for them to run an honest business?". Plus I always have to ask them to clean the inside of my rear window. Everyone should be careful to watch and be sure they are getting what they pay for. Shameful. read more

It is comforting to know that more and more Splash Hand Car Washes are opening as time goes by. I am a big car enthusiast and a long time patron of Splash. I have visited many of their location but would like to highly praise the Cos Cob, CT location. from the greeter to the cashier to the guy that closes your door when you get in, you will get nothing but courtesy and smiles. The washing of course is impeccable. I have never left there unhappy because the employees notice if the car is not clean to their high expectations they will run it again and make sure that it exceeds the customers. Every time I get my car washed at this location, they either have to redo it or I just drive off with dirt all over my car. Today they had to try 3 times and I still left there with streaky windows and water marks all over my car. I don't think I have ever had a good experience here, yet they have the market cornered in Greenwich. So sad that we have to pay so much money and get the worst service. Not worth it! To spend $25 on a car wash and NOT get at least what the description states is frustrating to say the least. These people rushed to get through my car and it was not even that busy. They had 4 guys to appear to be cleaning the interior for that initial mere 60 seconds but what did they actually Clean??! I said I had a little sand in the backseat, they pushed it onto the floor! It says they clean doors/door jams on the sign, I swiped the interiors of each of my doors and swept off the layer of dust they should have cleaned. There was a little yogurt stain on my passenger seat, I asked why they didn't clean it and they said they're NOT supposed to wipe the seats down! Then what am I paying $25 for? Rush job, Rip off, they dont care about customer service or doing a good job, just pushing the cars through. Worst car wash. I should have spoken to the manager but I had to get back to work. I will never be going back to this splash location. Everytime i go there my car has to be re washed. I paid for an interior clean and wheels express service. Car comes out and the wheels are full of brake dust and its easy to remove becuase i had to clean it up myself. Interior was just wiped down... is that what i paid an extra $34 for? The best part is... my car is going for a rewash and my 10 year old is in the back seat and one of the staff memebers goes to take my car around for the re wash and informs another employee that my car is back for a re wash and that employee reffers to me as a son of a bitch not realizing that my daughter was there and is fluent in spanish language. This is completely unacceptable 1. You are cursing in front of my child. 2. You are disrespecting a customer. Thank god i didnt purchase their membership. Who needs a membership to get disrespected and poor service. And forget about talking to the manager, did that before and he looked at me like i am asking for service rather than paying for it. O.... and another thing... i dont want splash contacting me with a free wash because it is not a matter of the money. He is attentive, knows about cars, and takes extra care in making me feel like I'm getting into a new car, even when he doesn't have to. I bought a Groupon which included 2 vouchers. I used 1 a couple of months ago and used the 2nd one today. I asked how much to get my mats cleaned and they said $10 and I paid for it. While waiting for my car to be dried and glass cleaned I hear music coming from my car. The worker had the nerve to turn-on my radio and my air conditioning to a high level. I asked him why he was touching controls in MY car and he got all frazzled and said he would turn them off but I told him to leave my car alone. I get in the car and noticed that the mats are dry. They didn't clean my mats. I went back inside to get a refund, they tried to have the mats cleaned then but since I was on my lunch break and totally aggravated with their service I refused. Needless to say I will not be going back to the Splash in Cos Cob, CT. So difficult to get good service these days!! read more

While no car wash is perfect, I trust Splash to use clean towels and not scratch my Tahoe. As I go to the Cos Cob location fairly regularly, I have gotten to know the guys there and they are all very nice and helpful. I'll take a Splash hand wash over a machine wash any day. I bought a groupon for car detailing and was very impressed with the service I received at Splash Cos Cob yesterday. The vinyl interior which was very dirty is now sparkling clean. I thought I needed touch up paint for all the scratches around the door handles but they buffed them right out! It looks like a new car inside and out. The staff was accommodating and professional. This place used to be way better. Although pricey I would pay and leave with a well cleaned car. Went recently after they started the everyday wash plan. Staff has obviously changed. Everything was done half-assed at the beginning and worse at the end. A guy was cleaning the wheels got to the 3rd wheel, a young guy got in the car "accidentally" stepped on the gas to rev the motor, which is fine it's a sports car. For some reason took off the e brake car rolled back and reved the car to what i would imagine redline was at and the guy doing the wheels screamed puto got up and didn't finish 3rd or 4th wheel. I asked for the manager and got a guy who barely spoke English. Never again. Splash get your quality in check or I'm going elsewhere. Went in for my 3 day free return wash and it easy peasy. Didn't have to purchase anything else to get it. Just went and they scanned my barcode and done! Went into store and grabbed a drink and paid at the register. Car was waiting for me outside cleaned inside and out.
