There are two operations here. One is the guy who writes you up. The other consists of the guys up front. Each tries to take as much money as they can con you into paying. After I disputed a double charge, I drove away and parked. I looked for the key in the console where I had put it when I left the car at Splash, and could not find it (a wireless transmitter device). The car started so it had to be in the car. I spent an hour tearing up the inside of the car and trunk trying to find it. Finally, a ten-year old boy found it: on the windshield tucked in in back of a windshield wiper where the friendly staff had hidden it to pay me back for objecting to the double charge. read more

Came here to have my oil changed because my usual place was packed. They overcharged me, I thought well - I had no window washer fluid, and on the receipt it said they filled it as part of the oil change so I thought, cool! A week or so later it was empty. So sick of this place and it's service, couldn't even spend the $5 to fill up the window washer fluid lol. What a fucking joke. Can't come here for cleaning, can't come here for oil changes either. I have to leave a very negative review unfortunately. We were a little concerned about some of the negative reviews on here but the manager was responding to them here and we wanted to give them a try given the coupon we saw in the newspaper. When we pulled in, an employee came over to us and asked what we need. We handed her the coupon and she looked at it dismissively and was very abrupt asking for the previous oil change sticker on our windshield. We had used synthetic oil last time and she stated "it's a bad idea to change to normal oil if the car requires synthetic oil." We tried to explain that we had decided to try the synthetic oil once but would like to go back to normal oil this time. She then threatened us "we are not responsible if there's anything wrong with the vehicle." I tried to explain again that we had just decided to try the synthetic oil once before but had used normal oil all throughout the car's life. Somehow that seemed to make her upset and she said "I know what you are saying I can speak English." Honestly neither of us had any thoughts or concerns that she didn't speak English and by now we were so turned off by her attitude that we told her we are going to look for service elsewhere. Maybe she was having a bad day today? What an unfortunate interaction. Instead, we drove next door to Valvoline where the employees at least treated us like customers, showing us the oil gauge and saying hello when we drove in. read more

Never again will I get my car washed here. Got the works hand wash, and was left with multiple scratches. When I called them out on it, they told me it definitely did not happen here and there was nothing they could do. The scratches definitely were not there before. read more

I dont even want to give this business 1 star. I went there to wash my vehicle and had a bag of quarters in my center console. Upon leaving, i checked my console and my quarters were gone. Not only are they thieves with the prices but with stealing money out of cars. STAY AWAY!! read more

Was sold on express detailing but when called to my car there was white wax still on it, half of the cars black area( it's an Element) was not done . There were drips over most of the armoraling on the outside and the tail gate was a mess. They also did not coat the large black area by the windshield wipers upfront . Next time I will save my $73.00 and do it myself. The front manager did have them re do it. The staff said this never happens! This was my first time at Splash; had my car washed this past Sunday, 4/12/15. Although they were quick in washing the car, that was the problem. I paid $31 plus a tip for "The Works" service. They did a horrid job! My car was still dirty and the rims, in which "The Works" includes wheel brite, looked almost as dirty as when I brought the car in to be washed. I will never go to this establishment again. They have all the bells and whistles in terms of merchandise to purchase, but in terms of services received, thumbs DOWN! I will be searching for a hand car wash who actually takes pride in washing the car and not overcharging for services not given. My advice to all is to find another establishment to take your car to or wash yourself! read more

I went in last week, to get an oil change on Monday. I noticed it was short staffed so I figured it would be a timely wait. It wasn't, and the service was fantastic. A young woman changed my oil and she did a great job. She took the time to explain things about my car to me and go over every detail thoroughly. I wasn't haggled, or pressured to but any extra stuff. I would absolutely recommend going to this splash. read more

They are always trying to rip you off before getting an oil change by telling you that you need a transmission or power steering flush. They told me my power steering fluid was low and needed a complete flush. I just checked and it was full. I will never go back! read more

I found splash by accident, overall I am not impressed. I usually pay $22 for a full service was that is always left with streaks, or dirt/ fibers on the interior. I was actually charged $30 last time I went because of the "excess" bugs on the front fender. Go to star car wash, they do a terrific job and there are no hidden fees read more

I've been going to them for about 5 years now. I've been there with all types of needs for my car, anywhere from passably clean to EXTREMELY in need a good cleaning. I've used the basic car wash right up to adding on special packages and services. I've had a few bad experiences, but it was always taken care of after I'd talked to the manager. The new manager there is just as good as you can get. They had forgotten to give me back my floor mats, and when I called he gave me a free upgrade for the inconvenience. Can only comment on car wash. They do excellent job. I am unlimited member and I am happy every time. Only couple suggestion use more water as often soap left in after rinse and second if the drying guys use some air to get water out of small places likes mirrors. read more

Awful !!!! Promote a service for my car - outcome is horrendous and then have the audacity to charge me $70 to fix it!!!

Did a quick survey of the three people in the waiting room with me and found out that we had all been recommended synthetic oil and up charge for extra oil. We all left feeling like up charged suckers. The car wash was nice but didn't make up for the excess charges. Suppose there is no alternative accept the change around oil since all of these oil change places are massively up selling. read more

I am glad to have discovered Splash located conveniently along Post Rd. My car was a mess after a difficult Winter (how did I get so much sand in my car when we were buried in snow for months?) but they cleaned exterior and interior quickly for only about $20. Was the $20 cleaning as perfect as a detailing? No, but it was a very good job on a messy car during what seemed to be a busy day for them. I will return. read more

Went here with my kids, the employees handled my car with care. We watched the entire process through the glass of the guys hand washing the car, all the while the kids got to squirt the car with the soap guns. Not a trustful place. My sun glasses has been stolen while I was there for oil change. It was inside the glove compartment and it's clean that someone grab it. I've been intending on detailing my car for a long time now and was recommended by friends and family to come to Splash Car Wash on westport Ave in Norwalk. I paid 150.00 dollars to have an interior detailing on my truck hoping it would look new once again. I also did the basic exterior wash on the truck which. The inside of my truck looks like nothing but a mediocre vacuum job and some window washing occurred. There is dog hair all over the truck, dirt on the side of the seats, door compartments that weren't even touched, and that's just what I noticed glancing in the truck. Needless to say, it appears I paid 20.00 at russel speeders rather than 150.00 dollars at splash. The exterior of the truck does not even look like it was washed what so ever. Dirt all over, streak marks, and gaudy tire shine everywhere. For the 45+ minutes and money I spent for these services, I am beyond disappointed. I would not recommend these services to anyone. read more

I had not used the Norwalk Splash in quite a few years. I was trying to do a bunch of pre-holiday tasks and opted to go there (12/21/2017). I wanted a very basic wash (just exterior as other places offer). I agreed to the most economical service ($23.00). Once the car was completed, it looked okay. Because I needed to get moving, I did not review the service quality. I want to drop some letters at the USPS distribution box, the passenger mirror was dirty and the area of the windshield next to the "A" pillar wasn't really clean either. A few hours later my wife was in the car. As she drove away, I saw a 2'x2'x2' triangle was still dirty. Whatever they use to rinse a car leaves spots (saturated with slat from waste water?). Yes, I should go back to have them redo it, but I would prefer to not go there ever again. I slipped up by having them do it this time. As a counter point, I took another car out later yesterday to the Westport car wash and it was $2.00 cheaper and MUCH better. read more

I come here at least twice a week to keep three cars clean, because I have a ton of gift certificates to use up. No employees know what anything costs. They scratched up the shiny black paint on vehicle, and on way home when I went to the gas station to fill up I noticed a bunch of soap suds still all over the bumper and a layer of dust from a linty cloth. Always dissatisfied with the wash every time I go. Another time, the order taker at the beginning of the line said $10 off express detail (normally $50).I said I'd do it if I could use my $18 full service wash certificate and pay the difference. The girl said yes. She went to print out my order ticket and another employee walked up to me and told me there were cracks all over my windshield and i should have them filled for free by my insurance before I hit a pot hole and the windshield shatters all over me. There are absolutely NO cracks in the windshield of this car. I said no thanks and asked him to make sure I could use my certificate for the express detail. As I asked, the order taker walked up and they agreed I could use certificate. I then left them the car, walked inside to pay. The cashier said I could NOT use the certificate she apologized and got a manager to check. He came out and said no, could not use it. I accepted this and paid the $40. The detailer came inside to tell me car was finished. I opened the car door and there was still gum wrappers in cup holder, and two other pieces of trash on seats. Cashews on the floor and dirt and dirt and crumbs on leather seats. I asked why they didn't vaccum and the detailer said it is NOT included!! I said FINE ill pay extra, just clean it. She started to and I went inside to pay and manager asked why and i said why and he said yes its included, and he pointed out that she was cleaning thecinside now.. I just gave up then read more

Unhappy. I paid for the Super Interior. I had sand in the car from the beach. I asked if they could vacuum this for me and was told I needed to purchase the Super Interior. I wasn't happy with their job. Sand was still all over the seats and floor. I complained and was told I needed to purchase the Carpet Express. I paid and when they were done, sand was still visible in both the carpet and the seats. I complained again and was left standing and waiting for ever. They went over the seats again vacuuming only. I still wasn't happy and I was out of time. Total time there was an hour and 15 minutes; total time working on the car including all three attempts was 30 to 35 minutes. They should have told me up front they could not do the job. I drove home and used my home vacuum to vacuum seats and carpet. It all came out in 20 minutes work. I feel cheated. According to their web site I should have had the carpet cleaned and it says deep embedded dirt removed. They didn't do this and acted badly towards me when I continued to complain. My biggest complaint: They took my money and didn't do the job. I was clear as to what I needed and was told they could do it with no problem. Then they wanted more money and I paid and still they didn't do the job. My opinion: They are rip offs. read more
