I needed to find a dentist when we first moved to the area which was in the middle of the pandemic. So, me and my son visited Splash. On our 1st visit, they had to do complete x-rays. My son went first and it took many times to get his xrays done right. Not my son's fault, he was well behaved and cooperative but because their equipment didn't work properly. Then after that, they did his cleaning which also took quite awhile as well. I think the male hygienist is just being thorough which I appreciate but my appt is now behind. My xray and cleaning done by the same male hygienist went smoothly but then they found and recommended I needed a couple of dental work done. I was a little surprised since previous check-up with previous dentist didn't show those issues. So, I asked Dr. Veena quite a lot of questions and she seemed annoyed and began to rush to end my appointment. On my second visit for cleaning, Dr Veena was rough she poke my gums multiple times and overall cleaning process did hurt. They also followed up on the dental work I need to get done not once but 3 times. I explained to them I wasn't comfortable doing the procedures during the pandemic and that I need to plan/schedule it and I don't feel it needs to be done as in soon. The ofc manager or maybe the dental assistant (because she assisted Dr Veena during my cleaning that day) was very insistent I get it done soon and she even told me that they will not do cleanings for me until I get it done. To me I was finish with them after that visit. But they called after about 6 mons but I didn't answer so they left a voicemail asking to setup my appt for the cleaning and the dental work I need get done. Seriously! If they wanted to retain patients they shouldn't be giving ultimatum like that. But even though, last visit wasn't a good one and I've decided already to look for another dentist. read more

Orthodontist side of business is fine and is probably a 5 star. The family dentistry side of things is concerning. They told me my 7 year old had 2 cavities and 2 more areas of concern. He cried the entire time and said the ladies were scary and mean to him. I was told by splash that they wouldn't be able to fill the cavities until he can cooperate. They referred me to various other dentists and wrote on the paper "does not cooperate". I decided to just take him back to our old pediatric dentist in San Jose who surprisingly stated no cavities, no area of concerns at all. He (old dentist) was slightly concerned with what I was told and said he would ask for the files to be transferred over which he never received (not sure why). All of this happened during this past fall and I decided to not write a review. I just got a voicemail from splash telling me that I never scheduled a follow up appointment with them for his "treatment". I have no idea what they were planning to fill and I'm not sure why they would call me to schedule an appointment when they told me they wouldn't be able to help him. By the way, my son was perfectly fine at his old dentist. He said they weren't yelling at him like they yelled at him at splash. We were customers of splash for a year before this incident. I won't be returning for the family dentistry portion. read more

This is regarding my son Stellen B. He was very nervous and quite anxious person so going to the dentist is something he likes to avoid. But they took great care of him, they take Covid precaution very seriously. The Dr. and staff was very quick and informative. They were good at making things easy for my son. So far so good. I have been going to Splash Dental here in Mountain House for a little over a year now, and I'm really happy with the Ortho dept. Doctor Rob is always so friendly, and remembers a lot about me personally, and I like that a lot. Especially after seeing hundreds of patients, and seeing me once a month, he still remembers where I work, and asks about how I'm doing. It's really really nice. I would looove to shout out to one of my favorite assistants, Lisa. Thank you Miss Lisa for always being so gentle with me and getting me in and out, during my routine work. Where I'm at in treatment for my braces, it's hard to put the wires in and I don't have a big mouth, and she never nicks my gums, and gets my chains off AND on quickly. I do go to my appts before work, so I really am thankful when I don't hang out in the office too long. But we also need to do our part as patients, and arrive at least 5min early, because there are other people waiting to get in and get out as well--I digress! I really think this is a great orthodontics office to come to. Ariana in the front is always so friendly, the office is beautiful and clean. My cousin who is a dental assistant (10+ years) in the Bay Area, told me my teeth are looking great, and that I have a great doctor (from assessing my teeth herself lol.) So I'm really happy with my care here, definitely would recommend my neighbors for Ortho here. read more

Interesting story: Splash Dental informed me I needed to have two crowns replaced and that I also had two cavities. I ended up going back to my long time dentist (15 miles farther from home - Livermore Dental Care) because the front office at Splash had difficulty scheduling the proposed work. Yesterday, after x-rays and oral examination, I was told that my crowns are fine and I have no cavities. I questioned that and it was confirmed that my x-rays from two years ago and yesterday showed no changes. Be careful at Splash dental ... I recommend Livermore Dental Care - it is worth the drive to avoid unnecessary work and cost. read more

I was introduced to Dr. van den Berg by my dentist who personally drove me to see Dr. V. You know you have the right guy working on your teeth when another professional consults with him about my Invisalign treatment. My dentist was having a hard time with straightening my upper teeth and called in the big guns. Dr. V recommended braces for the upper and we kept the lower in the trays. As an adult I wasn't excited about going back in braces. Dr. V and is office made the process run smooth. I looked forward to my monthly visits since his office his friendly and professional. I have never experienced such great care, and concern . I called with an urgent concern, and after my examination my appointment for intervention was made. However, before I left the dentist came out to ask if I need anything to ensure I would be comfortable until my appointment. That was cool. Next, the receptionist called a hour after my appointment and advised that there was a cancellation and the dentist wanted to see if I was available for the procedure today. The dentist was concerned that I would be in pain until my next visit. That was awesome. Okay, the procedure - I always have a hard time getting numbed...well the tech was amazing! Totally numb in and out in 40 minutes and felt zero pain. I am bringing my entire family for treatment. LOVE THEM!!! read more

Im somewhat sure the actual orthodontist service is ok, but the customer service at this place needs some work. I had trouble filling out the online form and reached out to the phone number for help. The front desk quickly became pretty rude on the phone after I tried what they suggested given my circumstances, and I ended up canceling my appointment. Dr. van den Berg and his team are amazing! Both my children had their teeth straightened by them. After their initial visit, Dr. van den Berg kept a close eye on their oral development so that they would receive treatment at the appropriate time. They are very warm, friendly and honest about treatment options and what to expect from them. Dr. van den Berg's office also cares about the community. After moving to Mountain house, I decided to get my treatment done at Splash as its close to my house. I am regretting this decision. Dr. Deepali Malla is extremely disrespectful and rude. I asked her a basic question before treatment and she stated rudely that she cannot explain 5 years of dentistry to me in one visit. I was only asking why she is making a certain decision about my tooth. I held my calm and decided to ignore her rudeness. However, during the treatment while filling a cavity she accidentally scraped my tooth enamel. I was numb so I noticed it after regaining sensation, few hours after the treatment . I called the clinic and she denied doing it. My tooth surface is completely scratched up and my tongue can feel the difference in tooth surface. I do know that enamel can never be re grown. So if you want to go to a rude doctor who can also make mistakes that are irreversible then best of luck! I would rather drive to Dublin, Livermore and get a better treatment next time. read more
