The park is great for kids. The Waitress at the cabana we rent, Mia was the absolute best! She was on point extremely nice! Great service!!. But at the service desk there's a guy there who is super racist. Everytime an Hispanic person went to ask questions about something he gave was disrespectful. Example, Hispanic couple wanted to rent a lounger (he said they're all sold out) mean while you see each one at the beach empty (this is around 1-2pm) then the Hispanic couple walks away from the service desk an Italian couple comes up and ask for the same thing the Hispanic couple asked for and he told them it was available. Awesome place for families/kids for sure but also adults who like to have fun! Cabanas are very cool, hidden and not pricey. 89$ during the weekday for up to 6people. Very clean, fair prices, very nice layout, friendly staff, super soft and clean sand, a lot of tanning chairs by every attraction just overall a very nice amusement park/beach. Best Waterpark in the Hudson Valley. Hands down. All the food is good, but I would definitely recommend eating at Cosimo's.

Realized there was hair on my pizza crust once i nearly go to the end of eating my pizza from Cosimo. And it was not mine because I had a swimming cap on. It also thunderstormed and they shut down the park the first 30 minutes I got there then had to get back in line for ride and wait which was unfortunate. Other than that it was fine. Someone should be washing down the ground those. It's disgusting. Changing rooms are also disgusting. Couldn't find a foot wash station either read more

Up until this season, I had been happy with my membership. This season I am completely dissatisfied and will not be buying another season pass, and I will tell my friends to go to a different water park instead as there are many within commuting distance in the northeast. I must preface with mentioning that I understand that water parks get crowded during the summer as they are overtaken by summer camps. However, it is completely inexcusable to shut down the park completely due to a "private event" without warning season pass holders that they would be shut out of the park well in advance, through many different channels. Here is my story: We bought our family season passes in order to take our daughter to swim after camp several times per week. Today, the day after we could not go due to the Tappan Zee crane collapse, and with no advance warning, no posts on Yelp or Google, and not even on their website until apparently this afternoon, a bus load of ultra-orthodox Jewish female students took over the park so that those of us who have season passes and/or those of us who drove an hour to get to the park were refused entry and unable to use what we paid for. We were told we could not enter the park that evening due to a "private event." We looked at the "event." It was four bus loads of girls wearing long-sleeved, long-skirted swimming costumes. You have to understand that given the size of Splashdown Beach, four bus loads of guests is by no means a capacity crowd, especially not at 5:30 p.m. Regular guests who paid full price for a full day's worth of Splashdown Beach were kicked out two hours early without a discount, and season pass holders were not allowed to use what they paid for due ONLY to this group's belief that they deserve to be separate from everyone else and cannot be righteous if they are in view of people in regular swimsuits. Again, I have seen four bus loads of kids at SDB during the day amid a "regular crowd" of people - this "event" was not due to capacity concerns. Lest you think I am antisemitic, I will state right here that I am a practicing member of the Jewish community myself. I have lived a whole happy life among diverse cultures while wearing my one-piece or on rare occasion relatively modest two-piece swimsuit and have been in view of others wearing much less (without being "punished" by the power upstairs). I also have friends and family who are deeply religious Jewish people. But it is wrong from a business and fairness perspective for Splashdown Beach to shut down the park to regular guests without warning just because a group chooses to seclude itself from others. The business should not condone this activity, effectively shutting out other paying customers. This is a shameful practice, and we will not be buying season passes again. Now my child is hysterically crying because the one of the few days we picked her up from camp early, telling her that we were going to Splashdown Beach, she can't swim because the park was suddenly shut down so that ultra-orthodox Jewish females can be appeased in their belied that they cannot look at other people wearing swimsuits, and needed to have the park all to themselves. If this "event" happened once, it will surely happen again. This female field trip was complete nonsense, and it's no reason for a park to break their promise, fiduciary responsibility to their regular paying customers by shutting them out of what they paid for without advance warning because of this self-excluding, judgmental group's beliefs. Splashdown Beach, you need to post this at the time that Season Passes are for sale. Otherwise, these "private events" should not be allowed. If you are bringing small children be prepared to be your own life guard staff, or maybe rely on some of the other parents around. I brought my son to the pirate ship slide and he almost drowned because the life guard on duty was not watching the pool. I was not allowed to go down the slide after him which is a terrible rule, so I had to walk around the feature to get to the point where my son would end up after he went down the slide. To my horror, I arrived to some person holding my son who had pulled him out of the water after witnessing him not come up after exiting the slide. Luckily there were some folks in the pool at the bottom of the slide to witness the event. The life guard on duty didn't even notice. I'll never return to this place. Nice little water park. It has a huge pool and a great kiddie area with slides and rides. The only issue I have with it is the parking area is so far away. You have to trek over grass, gravel and sand to get to the entrance. This especially hard to do if you have a stroller. We even had to walk on the side of the road with cars passing by us to get to the park, c'mon? The food was as expected as any water park. It is also a good 2 hours from NYC. read more

This place was ok. We went on a Saturday and got there about 30mins after the park opened and it wasn't too crowded. But after about 12pm the place was packed!! Unpleasantly so. It's a good size: not too big and not too small. My 5 year old enjoyed the little kids' pirate ship area and its slides. She also liked the Bob the Builder ride. My mister really liked the water guns and squirting the heck out of people on the ride. Haha. The Arctic Mammoth ride was really fun. We also had a nice time on the lazy river. The wave pool was disgusting. The water was salty! Ugh! I was however, pleasantly surprised by the food. We had pizza and it was pretty good. They also had these yummy funnel fries...like a funnel cake but little sticks that looked like French fries. They were delicious. The jury is still out on whether we would return. If we do, we will try to make it a weekday. One last thing, and this may seem ridiculous, but they had country music playing the entire time! It was terrible! We're in New York, not Nashville!! We had a great visit today! This place has expanded and improved tremendously since I was coming here as a kid (15-20 years ago). Worth checking out if you haven't been in a while. There were several areas that were perfect for my 3 year old and some more exciting slides for older kids too. A good water park for families with young kids and tweens looking for a relaxing day. It's small enough so you don't get worn out running around. There are lots of seating, especially by the "Beach" and the Lazy River. There is a shaded area with tables by the grill. Minimum height requirement is 42 inches for all slides. Toddlers can wade around in Bob the Builder Splash Works, Shipwreck Lagoon, Wave Pool, or dig in the sand at Rock Beach. The best slide by far is the Artic Plunge. It's like sliding down a wet slide at the playground. There are no sudden plunges. The kids loved it. They went at least 10 times. There are 4 tubes so the line moved quickly. Dizzy's Water Whirler was not fun. It hurt when you get hit in the face with water. Most kids were careful not to hit us in the face, but the water guns were not easy to control. Overall the rides are rather tame. Even a chicken like me would like Pirates Revenge. The only really scary ride is the Humunga Half-pipe. Teens and adults will probably get bored quickly. There aren't a lot of food options beyond the usual theme park fare: pizza, hot dogs, burgers. They ran out of the frozen coffee drink and ice cream bars by mid-afternoon. And we were there on a slow day. We did not enjoy the show at Safari Outpost. The trainer seemed annoyed with the tigers. They did not want to cooperate with him. The whole show was uncomfortable to watch. I hope they take good care of the animals. read more

Wanting a great birthday for my lil guy who just turned 2 , what a better day to spend summer day with our birthday boy ,who loves the water ..it was a no brainer!! A water park!! I had such great expectations, for the money we spent I was expecting a lot more for the lil guys and a lot more cleaner establishment. To my disappointment I thought that the Bob the Builder themed section was there , it's now a pirate themed, ok. Fine. My son loves pirates too. While my lil one was splashing away my husband holding him, a band aid floated right near his mouth. I spotted it , and of course was disguisted. I know. These things happen . It's a water park . Also, water had a funky odor. I have no other adjective to describe it. It was a cross between vomit and urine. We immediately got up and didn't want to ruin my son's fun ( we just gotten there) I asked the life guard how do I get to the other kids section, with a crying toddler he pointed to the OPPOSITE direction on where we had to go Urghhh . We had to go back around, seeing the same life guard who apologized to me and knew he was wrong we again, had to let it go .It's our sons day . My son had fun in the water, but nothing really was all that fun for the lil guys,the water pressure spraying out was too high by the little kid slides , all in ears reach?? Again, it's a water park. I know. I just feel they should of had sprinklers spraying up not directly in a kids face. I've been too many many water parks with my nephew and nieces when they were my little guys age . I attempted to call here multiple times this morning and kept getting the general answering machine. After 45 mins I finally got ahold of the service desk to explain my situation. A family member of mine passed away from covid and while my family and I were cleaning out her house we found complimentary tickets from end of summer 2019. I simply asked if they would still honor them being the situation and being closed all 2020 she was not able to use them. The lady Nicole got back on the line with an attitude after putting me on hold for almost 20 mins said no we can't honor them. I asked her who she spoke with and she said "the manager" and would not give me a name. Honestly people are so inconsiderate and rude at this establishment. Being closed all 2020 you would think they would appreciate the business because I'm sure we would have purchased lunch and snacks at the park as well. Do yourself a favor and stay away from that place. It is totally overpriced to get in. A bottle of water is 3.99! But that's not even the worst. This was the worst experience we have ever had. It was so overcrowded that you couldn't even go inside a pool. The bathroom wait was 15 min. It's a total safety hazard. When my husband asked if they have a capacity limit, they've told him 10000!!! So people complain it's expensive, yeah it is but it's tucked right off of route 9, so if you live within 50-75 miles, it's an easy day trip so look at it that way. Yeah it's not that big, but they have something for all ages-toddlers to college age, though teenagers or thrill seekers will be bored after a while. and you don't get worn out from walking for miles to each ride. This place is garbage. Too cramped with excessively long lines on all the rides. This place brings new meaning to the definition of slave labor. I once saw a employee faint from heat exhaustion, management offered a gatorade and expected her to get back to work. I have it on reliable information that they break state labor laws for a lunch break, it clearly states in labor laws for any employee of any variety to get a 1 half hour break on a six hour shift, Not in splashdowns dictatorship they only let employees who work a seven hour shift get that long of a break. Splashdown Beach is a water park we visit often. It is very clean and easy to navigate. The bathrooms are always being maintained and their landscaping is always so well cared for- you never see dead flowers on any of the plants. The garbage pails are changed often and it is a great family place. It is always crowded but you just have to get past that and you will enjoy your day. This park is run pretty well and is enjoyable, but man, it is expensive. I know it comes with the territory, but wow. $35 to get in- ok fine, but the food (though not half as bad as what I expected) was so crazily priced. My iced coffee (which was hot coffee on ice and really disgusting) was...5.99. If this give you any indication of where I am going here. Pools seemed clean, and we got there right at 10am- it wasn't too crowded at all. It was totally fine and fun. Someone mentioned 'salty' water. Pretty sure that they do a combo of salt water filtering and chlorine at these places now. Very typical and actually better for you than all chlorine. We had a good time with a bunch of 5years old. Went to SplashDown Beach this summer with my wife, 6yo daughter and two 3yo sons. What a blast!! We got there when the park opened and asked the entrance staff at the front about a cabana. Everyone was so helpful and nice, they sent us to the front counter where we had no issues reserving a spot. The park was clean and safe, we didn't have any worries leaving our stuff there. Lunch was excellent, and well worth the price for the amount of food we got. We spent most of the time in the far back of the park where the family raft ride, pool and pirate ship was. All of the kids loved the family ride, I think we went on it 5 or 6 times, but the hit was definitely the pirate ship. My daughter was even allowed to ride some of the slides herself. She swims well, but it was awesome that there were life vests provided there, for free!!! My wife and I were glad to see the life guards so attentive and cleaning staff everywhere taking care of the little things. We will definitely be back next year, thinking about season passes for too because it was so close and fun. read more

Awful. Terrible. Horrible. Overly crowded, even on a weekday. Not much for toddlers to do. This bouncy swing thing they had in the toddler area, one of them was beginning to rip. Not safe. Everyone bumping into you at the pool. The wave pool was terrible. So crowded you could barely move. The tubes you use were deflating. Plus, everything is so spread out, it's a walk to get from one place to another. I will never, ever, ever, go back to that place. And you should definitely not go either. I LOVE this place. I go every year at least once. I was there on Saturday August 1, 2015. Yes the place is small, but the fun is big. I recommend buying your tickets online. You avoid the long line and you get $5 off. Hey! A dollar is a dollar. I started taking my daughter here in 2003 when my now 14 year old was 2 years old. Talk about tenure.
