There's definitely better quality ice cream in Lancaster, there's an artificial aftertaste with all the flavors. The prices are good and there's plenty of seating in the back of the shop.

Really great ice cream! Cute shop, you order at the booth. Had oatmeal cookie crunch - delicious and unique flavor!

Easy to find street parking as this place is located on a corner in a not so busy area. Ice cream is Hersheys ice cream and it's absolutely delicious! Service is quick and you no longer go into the building; you order at the window! Best little shop to get ice cream in Lancaster city.

They did a great job this year with National Ice cream for Breakfast Day! Easy online ordering and easy takeout window pickup! The toppings were all packaged separately, the waffle in its own bag and two big scoops of ice cream. A different take, but just as fun! Everyone had a great time building their own sundaes! Nice job! Way to pivot in this year of madness!

LOVE this place! Me and my husband have been on a mission to find a good ice cream spot since moving here and we finally did! Highly recommend the Giggles Parfait (pictured) They are adhering to COVID guidelines - there is a takeout window that you order from and they ask you wear a mask upon approaching it Major plus is the how friendly the staff is!

Yummy! We went for some ice cream on a whim today while my sister and kiddos were in town. All the ice cream was awesome! We even added a quart to go!

This is an incredibly small space to pack in so much ice cream, coffee, and sandwiches. The close quarters truly makes three a crowd, but despite the lack of space, S&G has a nice neighborhood vibe, a decent menu, and a super friendly staff. On my first stop here, I was disappointed to see the selection was only Hershey's ice cream products, which you can find in any store around here, but for a quick and cheap cone, I couldn't really complain. They keep a decent variety on hand and rotate flavors out so even the regulars can't get that tired of the selection. I highly recommend the ice cream floats - your choice of Reading Soda (yum!) with two scoops of ice cream. If you can, get the Blueberry Birch or Black Cherry. Beware the brain freeze. It's not a myth. My latest visit was on National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day. I haven't seen that many people waiting in line for ice cream since Carmen & David's closed up shop downtown! Despite the crowd, both the customers and staff were amazingly chipper. Guess it's hard to be cranky when you're having ice cream at 9:30 in the morning, huh? We enjoyed our generous scoops and toppings over a warm, made-to-order waffle, and it was the perfect way to start our day.

The doubles? Exceptional. Soft, perfectly filled, and full of flavor. And the hot pepper sauce? Whew. It didn't just add heat, it elevated an already outstanding dish to another level. I ordered so many doubles I barely had room for anything else but I had to try the dhal and it was exactly what I needed. Comforting, rich, and done right. Everything tasted like true, authentic Trini food, the kind that makes you feel warm, satisfied, and already thinking about your next visit. I was literally craving it every single day for the rest of my Lancaster trip. The space itself is on the smaller side, but really cute and inviting. The service was great: friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience complete. Whether you're new to Trini food or already know what's up, Calaloo will not disappoint. Trust me, you'll be planning your next visit before you even leave.

I always order the coconut jerk chicken and am delighted be the Trinidadian/Asian fusion mix their menu provides. Specials rotate, which is so much fun. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and even my gluten-free mother can eat here. The food is consistently good and the spice levels are high, so take them seriously! Especially the pepper beef. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through!

We've been to the best places in the city and this most certainly is right up there if not better in some instances. Stand outs were basically everything but the Burrata, Horse Fries and Cheeseburger were to die for. Everything was cooked to perfection. We marveled at how they made this decadent cheeseburger so darn light and airy. We didn't have a reservation so rather than wait 20 minutes for a table in the main dining room (with wonderful live jazz band) we chose to eat at a table by the bar. Weston, the bartender and our server, was attentive and helpful throughout. We may have to come back to Lancaster just to experience this place once again! It's truly a meal we won't forget.

But awesome all the same! For how busy they were, the server was very attentive and very accommodating as we were yapping away and constantly not ready with our orders so kuddos for the team and putting up with us! I love the mystery beer concept, its not great beer, but being from DC at like $2 a can, I am not passing that up, ever. And a cheap beer with a burger is the perfect combo! On to the burger... I have heard that this is a great burger... and I have to conclude that I agree though it is reminiscent of a Big Mac - just way better ingredients - it has to be the sauce they put on it... Anyway, nice size patty, good amount of toppings and a quality bun (not too soft, not too thick, bread soaks up some of the juices but doesn't fall apart). The mussels were quite excellent as well. It was a Thai curry broth the night we were there and it was drinkable, like soup... we did ask for extra bread... enough said. I am going to take a minute too and praise their spirit free cocktails. THIS IS HOW THEY SHOULD BE MADE. They used bitters, tonics, etc to craft something that tasted like a cocktail but without alcohol which means they were not sickly sugary concoctions, but expertly crafted beverages. Just really great options. All that said though, their espresso martini was one of the worst I have had. Just skip that.
