Unfortunately, a negative review. My partner and ordered three things: a milkshake (great), a Hawaiian burger (bad), and a custom bison burger (also bad). We were treated poorly and sadly won't be returning, despite Whistler being a great spot for our family to vacation. Fortunately there are other restaurants to dine at, most of which are spectacular. The Hawaiian burger was served without one of the listed toppings (honey mustard). The bison burger was brought to us with the incorrect bun (not a celiac/gluten free bun - and extra charge). Once they brought the correct burger/bun, the bison burger turned out to have been made without one of the toppings we ordered (chipotle). Both burgers were served with only one small strip of bacon which was absolutely inadequate for the price charged. Both burgers were dry and unappetizing; the meat was a tiny portion and overcooked, and without the advertised toppings, the experience was extremely disappointing. The one upside was the milkshake which was very good. However, when spending this much on a dinner out, one typically expects to be served what was ordered and something at least appetizing. We will not be returning and will choose to patronize establishments which serve what is advertised - and which address the concerns when raised. read more

Solid burger spot in Whistler to satisfying your late night and anytime munchies. The patties are a decent size, juicy and slightly charred to deliciousness. All the other toppings, sauces and aiolis are pretty standard, but a burger is all about the meat and they get it right here. The fries were fried well and super crispy! The onions rings were a bit dry and over fried, but could maybe be a one off? I prefer the Splitz Grill in Whistler much more than the other location in Vancouver (which is now closed). Two of us went. We had two burgers with two toppings. Two beers and a small poutine. Cost us around $50 including tip. Pretty good price. The person serving us was really nice and had a joke with us. The food was okay not gonna blow you away but nice you can chose your own toppings. But they did forget our ticket and we ended up waiting around 45 mins maybe more. Problem with paying first they can't offer you anything so if something happens it will leave you with a little sour taste in your mouth after you leave. Got there 5 minutes early, was told that my order wasn't ready, so could I please sit outside - it is COVID, after all - and the woman behind the counter said she would bring my order to me once it came up. So I did that...5:50 rolls around...5:55...6:00pm. I wander back into the restaurant, same woman who said she'd bring my order to me was busy chatting with a couple of locals who had come in for a burger. She gives me an exasperated look, asks "Can I help you?", so I said "Yes, you sent me outside to wait for my order 15 minutes ago, said you'd bring it to me?" She suddenly looks a bit stunned, mumbles a few words of acknowledgement, reaches back to grab a bag that's been sitting under a heat lamp for God knows how long, and cheerfully says as she hands me said bag, "Your order just came up!" Sure it did. And the most disappointing part? The meal was awful; cold, insipid slice of pineapple, greasy little chicken breast, wilted lettuce, sad slab of hash brown. Oh wow - I get the hype! Split Grill serves up some mean burgers and fries at a price you really cant beat in Whistler village. I dare say the burgers are better than a lot of burger joints in Vancouver even.. or maybe I just havent eaten my way around burger joints enough. We came on the July long weekend and got in line to order 2 daily specials - poutine burger on a friday with fries and beers. The burger was perfectly done with a crispy hashbrown, gravy and chees curds to boot. The fries was OMG sooo good. I can only imagine how good a poutine with those fries would taste. It tasted like perfection and they dont skimp on the amount they gave you. My husband got his meal with a beer and altogether our meal came to around 38 dollars with tips and tax. Totally worth it and will definitely be returning when we're in whistler again. read more

I ordered the gluten free Hawaiian burger. The lady taking my order was knowledgeable and friendly. She reassured me that the honey mustard sauce was in fact gluten free and safe for my allergies. When my order arrived it seemed a bit dry but I ate half of it at which point I realized it had no sauce and only the tiniest piece of bacon. I waited for 10 minutes in line to make a complaint. The cashier asked me if I would like a refund and I responded with "sure". She then immediately walked away. The manager appeared, treated me as though I was trying to get free food she was uncaring and stated, " you should not have eaten it if there was a problem, there is nothing I can do for you." I was only looking to provide feedback so that future orders would ideally not have missing ingredients ( chipotle sauce on my husbands burger) and kitchen staff would perform their job properly. My husbands order arrived 7 mins later since they screwed his up the first time (and the second). We paid $58 for 2 burgers (no fries) and 1 milk shake. I would have been more than happy to pay this price again had numerous ingredients not been missing from both burgers. The milk shake was good, no complaints there. However, they were the worst burgers we've ever had and the way we were treated was horrible. We will be letting others know to avoid this place. read more

I hate writing bad reviews but I had to write to let the owners know of our experience. First of all, compared to all the surrounding restaurants, this place was family friendly and the price is reasonable. Please give her a raise or something. - The food was good! Husband got the Smokehouse, son got the cheeseburger, and I got a custom built burger - YUM! - The cooking staff (for the most part) - they were really busy but the guys were working hard and enjoying the music and doing a little dance while cooking so they created a good vibe. The CON: - My daughter's burger was pink in the middle. We showed it to a server and asked (VERY politely) if they could fix it. Server showed it to the cook and she SHOUTED with annoyance, "That's NOT PINK!!" Uh....we had 4 other burgers and spent well over $100 at your establishment and yes, it was pink. Why on earth would we want to endure waiting any longer for our food just to fabricate something like that? This happens sometimes and normally it's not a big deal but she made it a big deal and it felt like she purposely took a long time to remake my daughter's burger and kept making remarks. That was NOT appreciated. This staff should not work in a capacity as hers if she cannot simply own up to a mistake (they haven an open kitchen and customers can see and hear the kitchen staff).
