Charcuterie plate
Amy S.

Beautiful views and menu! The views are incredible- beautiful 360 degrees with windows everywhere. The menu is amazing. The burger is fantastic and charcuterie plate delicious. Staff is friendly and all were so helpful. Highly recommend this stop on the way back down.

Great location on the top of Blackcomb looking over the valley. Lovely decor and setting. Service was great with a good wine and drink selection. Steelhead was very good, cooked perfectly. Buratta tomato salad was nicely plated with a reasonable serving of cheese. Not exactly innovative dining but good reliable dishes in a nice location.

Nice summer day at top of Blackcomb mountain. Due to warm sunny weather outdoor seatings were offered. Friendly helpful staffs. Good selection of cocktails and drinks. Appetizers or main course selections on menu. I tried summer salad a few times once with fish. Very good! They just closed after Labor Day for the summer season. Will be back in the winter!!

Very good crispy pork belly

Every time we come to Whistler we go to Christine's and in the past we always had a fabulous time. This time however felt different. The food was fine but not great, especially for the price, and the service felt off, not fine dining. We started we the crispy pork belly appetizer and that was the highlight of the meal, very good. I then had the duck confit (it was just ok, on the dry side), and my husband had the charred short rib (fine but nothing special and he didn't care for the side). We then shared the brownie for dessert (it was very dry and not great). The service felt impersonal, pretentious, unwelcoming and robotic.. no one was smiling, it was honestly not pleasurable to be there, we just felt that they were trying to turn tables and collect your money. During our stay in Whistler, we also ate at Steeps on the Whistler side twice and I can honestly say that our experience at Steeps far far surpassed the one at Christine's. The food at Steeps was sooo much better (hence why went twice), the servers were extremely friendly and made you feel welcome. It's really a shame because we used to love going to Christine's. But next time we are in Whistler, we will stick to Steeps for a really nice meal on the slopes & avoid Christine's.

Bloody Caesar. Kai makes these amazing!

At the top of the Backcomb gondola is this excellent restaurant. Make reservations. The views are amazing. The food is outstanding and nothing like typical ski lodge food, which is available outside the restaurant. We enjoyed wonderful wine and a Bloody Caesar, but recommended by Kai. A wonderful bartender from Ireland who was engaging, attentive and great to talk to. Go...you will not be disappointed

Bland carrots and pork belly

We came here after they called and stated they had space for us and removed us from the waitlist. We had a couple of issues with the Gondola (guided the wrong way, and the gondolas were down), so we called and let them know that the issues were out of our control. They stated it would be no problem to come up still, and they would seat us. We get here, and the hostess passive-aggressively reminds us of how they have a huge wait of over 600 people and that they can only hold our table for 10 minutes (which they did not say when we called), meaning we lost our reservation. We called to address our lateness to ensure we didn't waste our time going up the Gondola for nothing. Anyway, she told us to step aside and wait for the chance to get in. After about a 10-minute wait while looking for food elsewhere, they find a table for us. We sat down and were greeted by our waitress, who was an absolute gem! We ordered our drinks, and they came out fairly quickly. I enjoyed a Caesar, and my boyfriend had an old-fashioned. We then ordered some appetizers, which were carrots and pork belly. They were both just super, super bland. The carrots came with some greens, but they were all just flavorless and dry. My boyfriend's pork belly was also very dry, which is surprising when pork belly is mostly fat. We then ordered two burgers to give them a shot, and they were nothing special. Just regular burgers that you can basically get anywhere. The fries were soggy and just not good. The main reason I am even giving this place 1 star is because of the view and the service of our waitress. Is it worth coming to? Meh. I beg to differ. They are only in business because of the view. Their food stinks, and they know they would never make it without it. Again, the views are excellent, but honestly, the customer service at the hostess stand is atrocious. No one wants to eat at a restaurant that thinks their shit doesn't stink, and Christine's, your food definitely stinks.

4.5 Apparently this is THE place to apres ski, and we definitely got that vibe at lunch time on a Friday. Views are stunning from the top of the mountain with floor to ceilings windows. It gets really packed, and the space is kinda cramped, so be prepared for a little bit of chaos and make reservations in advance. My husband and I started with the charcuterie board and we added cheeses. As we found across the board in Whistler, the meats and cheeses here are top tier! For my main I had the burger which was good. My only complaints are: our booth was really cramped considering all our winter gear; service was pretty good all things considered but at times I felt rushed and other times there were large lapse in service; the menu is very limited.

Marmot!!
Heather W.

I really enjoyed this restaurant, it's at the back of The Rendezvous, and was wide open for lunch. We enjoyed the wagyu burger which was super juicy, and the beet salad (more like a Caesar salad with a feta dressing) good large portion. Our servers were very nice and accommodating, also the tap water was like mountain fresh water. The Caesar Royal (Bloody Mary) was made to perfection. We also got to see a marmot and it's little family from our seat!

Amazing views obviously.....but high quality food and great service as well! We will definitely come back!

View from the deck

We were sitting on a deck overlooking the mountain. This is at the top of the gondola. The chicken sandwich was superb and the French fries were crispy and served hot. They had ample servers who took great care with each table. Lots of great pictures of the view.

a view of the mountains from a window

Best on-mountain food we have ever had! Gorgeous views and an incredible atmosphere and service! Definitely worth checking out! Call ahead and make a reservation and ask to sit next to the window if you can

One of the best restaurants at Whistler, and in general one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The view is unreal, and the quality of food is incredible. Service is impeccable, and I particularly enjoyed the cocktail.

We tried a variety of dishes across both visits, and every single one was fantastic. The balance of flavors and the way different cultures are blended together is seriously impressive. Some standout dishes: the truffle ceviche was incredible, and the black tiger prawn causa had a sauce that was absolutely fantastic. The tallarín de marisco is a must-order, we loved it so much we ordered it twice. We also had the salmon anticucho and Colombian arepa, and everything was fire. Everything tasted fresh, well thought out, and perfectly executed. You can tell a lot of care goes into each dish. If you're visiting Whistler, Balam is a must-visit. It seemed like a great deal - 5 things for like $7-8 but beware that each one is TINY so you'll have to order a lot if you are hungry. Still great quality. - The anticuchos were amazing. Great texture and it melts in your mouth while retaining crispiness. Tiny though. - the pork tacos are great. Great flavour and I love the chimichurri sauce. - the fries are only OK. A cheese dip but otherwise not much flavour. Would love to come back for a fuller meal.

The miso sesame dressing added depth without overpowering the beets, while the puffed grains gave it the perfect crunch. The nori, shiso, and hint of yuzu brought a subtle freshness that made the dish feel light yet layered. A stunning start. The cavatelli with fontina and 5g shaved black truffles was pure comfort but elevated. Rich, silky, and deeply savory, with the truffle aroma hitting you immediately. The focaccia and fresh herbs tied it all together -- indulgent without feeling heavy. The standout for me was the sablefish. Perfectly cooked -- buttery and flaky -- paired beautifully with turnip, radish, and maitake mushrooms. The roasted fish bone sauce was incredibly refined and packed with umami. Every bite felt intentional and balanced. And to finish, the sticky toffee pudding -- warm, decadent, and exactly what you want to end the night. Sweet, comforting, and unforgettable. Wild Blue blends refined technique with thoughtful ingredients. Definitely one of the highlights of dining in Whistler

It was a very disappointing experience. We haven't visited Whistler in years, I was looking forward…read moreto this trip because we had booked what I thought was the top rated restaurant there but boy was I ever wrong. Their geoduck and clam pasts tasted okay but the serving size was laughably small, 2 large bites to perhaps 4 small bites at best. The worst thing was the overcooked geoduck, they're basically large clams and anyone who's cooked and eaten clams will know that overcooked clams turn rubbery and the few bits of geoduck were as rubbery as a rubber duck. The same applies to their Roasted Ling Cod, unless you enjoy overcooked ling cod, avoid at all costs. Amongst our group we ordered 3 New Your Steaks, we ordered medium rare, to their credit they were all cooked a perfect medium rare. Trouble was they were all way over salted. Too much salt to make them enjoyable, frankly I've had much better steaks at Denny's. As part of their prix fixe menu they had smoked black cod which I normally enjoy. Here they mashed the black cod into a chip dip which they served with their house made potato chips, While the dip was okay as far as taste goes, the chips they served last week on Wednesday night were all stale, not yet rancid but definitely stale. If the manager is reading this, I suggest he take a few and taste them himself. Prices weren't out of line since this is a resort area and restaurant pretty much can count on a "captive" clientele. However value wise this place should not be anywhere near the top of your go-to list.

We ordered the following dishes: Country Game Terrine, Red Deer Venison, and Five Spice Duck. Everything was just okay. 2.5 star experience. The venison was my favorite but it didn't wow me, just cooked well with a decent portion size. The five spice duck would have been much better with a sauce to bring the ingredients together, overall the dish was just a lot of sweet, with the duck breast on the tougher side. Unfortunately we won't be back. I think this restaurant has been resting on its laurels for too long. For the price there are better options in Whistler.
