I've seen Chris a few times and he's serviced me a couple of times before. However Alan is my guy, I know he recently moved from a Dotty's as an employee. I hope here's a person that'll stay at this location. My experiences here while playing the slots have been pretty Awesome experiences. A day before my Birthday I was lucky enough to hit the Jackpot. I'm sure if I would've bet higher the stakes would've been much higher as well but I ain't complaining. I ended up giving Alan a $100 tip not knowing that he'd have to share it with an employee that had just walked in the building. Honestly had I known this I would've just given him $20 bucks. That other person never did anything to get $$ from the Blessings I was offering this young man that catered to me while I was gambling. I learned something new now and it'll never happen again to where I give such a big tip to a Bartender just showing my appreciation for his or her service without thinking about would they have to share the tip with others'?

We ended up ordering some wings and fries. Since he was busy, he did let us know it would take a minute which we didn't mind at all. The food took about 10 minutes which wasn't a long wait. The fries were nice and fresh, and greatly seasoned. My fiancé really enjoyed the wings, nicely seasoned with a good crunch. We also played pool and he was nice enough to give us our first game free for being so patient with him. We will definitely be back when we want to watch a few games in the future and play a few games.

It's the world's only 24 hour Tiki Bar, opening its doors in December of 2008, nearly 18 full years ago. It has a spacious but limited parking lot, bright neon sign, cool outside entrance and even more wonder inside. True to tiki decor with island themed fixtures, tables, patterns, seating and ambiance. Hints of surfing culture, rockabilly and retro. Perfect signature original or classic tiki drinks via their menu as well as full bar, soft drinks and beer. The Makalele Knockout is probably one of my personal favs with rum(s), lime, hibiscus and a incredible blend of flavors. However the Tiki Bandit, Frankiestein, Dr No, ScruV and numerous others might speak to you. I've been to Frankie's a few times about 10 years ago, so it was nice to stop in with a group of buds and share some convo as well as meet up with my oldest best friend and her wife, who ironically is who I came to Frankie's with those first times a decade ago. All tiki drinks are currently $15 and well worth it. You're able to drink, gamble (at the bar), smoke, converse, sway (good music) but limited space and enjoy the night or day away. Seating goes quick at night, especially on weekends, but arriving earlier (before 8pm) can help. Sometimes tables, seats and areas open up faster if you're patient. All the staff, including the bartenders and door guy are thoughtful and personable. We eventually got part of the area that's slightly enclosed with a great view of the entire bar especially being a group of 6 to 8 at once point. High recommend.

People had been telling me that I got to see Yellow Brick Road. It just so happens that on Saturday I stumbled upon the show by accident. They are a Classic Rock machine made up of talented musicians that perform the Classic Rock masterpieces from the 70s and 80s. They include "Whole Lotta Love," "Hot for Teacher," and "Wheel In The Sky." South Padre Nightclub is laid out with a bar that separates the night club proper where the band performs and a roped off area of tables in the casino. I sat in the roped off area because the music is seriously loud. Regardless of the bar creating some blind spots, I enjoyed the show. As far as bars go, it is decent. My minor complaint is the limited selection of tap beer, which I believe is only Bud Light. If I complained over the friendly cocktail waitress visiting the table a couple of times, it would be a petty complaint. The tables in the roped off area are a few feet from the bar. The $4 for tap Bud Ice is reasonable. Because cocktail waitress service at the machines could be nonexistent at Texas Station, this bar is a reasonable option. I rate Yellow Brick Road four stars. As long as they play here on Saturday nights, I rate South Padre Nightclub four stars on Saturday nights.
