Joey's Tavern is a 24/7 sports bar and gaming type place is the North/West part of Vegas. They offer a mostly American menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, entrees, desserts, with also breakfast, monthly specials, and a pizza of the month. Inside is mostly dark and you need the light on your cell phone to read the menu. Inside is two main dining areas and a bar dining area. We sat in the bar dining area at a table. The chairs are very large and also very heavy. You also sink into the chair and for me this was uncomfortable because my feet didn't reach the ground and I couldn't push my chair in myself but my husband helped. Someone was quick and pleasant to serve us. We ordered and the food was ready in a fairly short amount of time. I tried the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with an upgrade to sweet potato fries. The soft nicely toasted bun is branded with a Joey's embellishment. The sandwich was really very good. The chicken might have been the juiciest chicken sandwich that I've had this year and I'm pleased to say that it was delicious and also HOT but not so hot that I couldn't eat it. Also the sweet potato fries were good and not mushy like they often are. The sandwich was very good but not 100% perfect. The major issue I had with it was some bones that didn't get removed from the chicken that I was LUCKY to spit out. And also one minor peeve. Nashville chicken sandwich always have a pickle and that was over looked here. Still a very good sandwich but because of the small bones hazard this can't be five stars. My husband enjoyed the (made in house) BBQ Brisket Sandwich very much. It came with his choice of soup or salad. He picked the soup and enjoyed it too. I also wasn't able to move my heavy seat to leave and needed some help with that. The food we tried was very good. Some of the seating isn't comfortable and in certain spots it is too dark to read the menu. But the food was mostly very good. read more

Easy to find spot. The exterior seems like an old Timbers renamed? When you step in it is just, Wow! So much to take in. Lot's of great decor. When the server told us to seat ourselves we were a bit confused. It was like 3 separate seating areas. All with a unique atmosphere. And you could also grab a seat at the bar. We chose a booth. The service was spot on with this polite young lady constantly checking in on us. The food was very good. I really enjoyed my Nashville hot chicken sandwich and my wife loved her chiliquallas. Joeys has some really good chicken wings & homemade ranch! I come here with my boyfriend a lot for wings and to play keno, we almost always order the wings cause they are so good. They are never undercooked and tossed in the sauce just enough. It's always great atmosphere, with excellent service. If you want some good bar food, definitely come here. read more

I honestly had pretty low expectations of Joeys (maybe because this spot was a former Timbers?!). We met with our run group and I wasnt even going to get something to eat.. but decided to try. This over the course of three visits since January '26...I tried the pot pie and absolutely loved it. I went back again a few weeks later and had it again. Even better the second time around. The third visit was with the intent of going to another restaurant and thought it over and decided on Joey's. Good move. It was during the Super Bowl and crowded. I had the basic burger and fries and worth every penny. Oh, had the onion rings on each visit. The best in town. You can tell the chef let the oil temperature come back up to proper frying level as the coating was distinctly separate from the onion. If frying temp wasn't hot enough it would mush together, as most amateur chefs/cooks do. Highly recommend Joey's. read more

Tonight's feast was B.Y.O.Burger (I did a bacon mushroom cheeseburger) and we also go a Sourdough Melt and a side of onion rings. The onion rings literally look like donuts! We visited on Friday for lunch with a party of four and it was a very good experience. We arrived and were seated in a spacious booth. The waitress came over and took drink orders. The margarita was pretty good, and they had a nice selection of beers from which to choose. We started with their Combo Appetizer. It was a hefty portion and very tasty. From there we went with T-bone Steak & Eggs, Joey's Big Breakfast, Tanner's Backyard Burger, and a Beef Dip Sandwich. All were well prepared and delicious. The service was outstanding. Come here with a full stomach because you will need it. the place has great atmosphere if you're a big 49er fan but service-wise, its terrible and I wouldn't come here if it wasn't for the 49er viewing parties! Asked the server for a cup of water/drinks 3x, asked for ranch 3x, asked for our orders at least 3x each and only because after ordering, we needed to wait 30-45 mins each time.. one of our appetizers took so long it came out soggy and fell apart (had to ask manager why it looked that way?!) and we returned it. Glad they didn't charge us. Our server forgot MY drink repeatedly, and when she finally got it, she thought it was for my son and gave it in a kids cup? I asked something different for my son but she ended up giving that to me in a regular cup? I just felt completely ignored. I give plenty of chances and I am very forgiving since I know its difficult when its a full house but this place was so different. I felt like, because we weren't regulars, we weren't a priority.. Our food took forever and I was mad because we purposely came early to get good seats and food, that we didn't eat much at home and the kids were hungry. Next time I will need to feed the kids beforehand no matter what. I've never had to deal with something like this in a very long time. Next time I come here I will not be ordering a thing. For the price we paid, the experience left a salty taste in my mouth and I can't even remember if I enjoyed my meal. I can't even remember what we ordered tbh. Sat at the bar in front for 20min and not a single bartender (there were 3) came to ask me if I wanted anything. Save your money and go elsewhere. After hungrily waiting for 15 or so minutes for a simple hamburger, it arrived as if it was ordered by someone else. My wife politely requested a switch to her order and was aggressively told by the kangaroo-baby himself (Joey, not Joe or Joel...) that we could leave (again, aggressively) with his #shortking energy. We decided to try breakfast here and again had a great experience. They only serve breakfast to 1pm and have a good selection of items. I particilarly like the number of side items you can get by themselves for a reasonable price (e.g. pancakes, waffle, frech toast, eggs, sausage, etc.). This is one the only resturants that have thick link sausages rather than patties. My wife had the sausage, eggs, potatoes and toast breakfast, while I had a cinnimon waffle and eggs. It's Oktoberfest time, but truly, steer clear of the strip's overpriced and lesser quality food. I'm German and travel there annually and the BEST schnitzel, spaetzle and gravy is at Joey's. We had a great time here. The food was really good. Atmosphere is great. Awesome place for big party's. Service was a little slow, but we were a big party with kids and were gabbing a lot so that wasn't an issue for us. We had a mess up with our order. We were offered a replacement but turned it down. They made it right by bringing dessert to us. Best onion rings I've ever had. I will crave these and need to come back for them for sure. They are beer batter and are so light. We also got the chicken wings. Apparently those are awesome too. We ordered the sweet potato tots and they were absolutely amazing. Highly recommend trying them!!! Dessert was worth ordering. They don't keep track of incorrect orders, which is incredibly frustrating. For the record, the nearly $20 fries are nothing to write home about, but Joey's nasty attitude was very off-putting. Joey should be a man of his word, take a course in customer service, and keep records of wrong orders going forward. You've lost six loyal customers and that'll cost you at least $1500 in the course of a year. read more

So I thought the prices were responsible for the amount of food. Everything was cooked to perfection except the eggs. I ordered over easy and they were very slimy. My girl ordered over medium and they still were a lil slimy. The breakfast potatoes were awesome and the sausage was thick and juicy. Pancakes had good flavor and were not dry. I will go back.
