I took my great pyrenees sheeperdoodle in for his first grooming. I have never had a dog with long curly hair and didn't know how matted they get. Ashlee and the manager there were amazing! My pup ended up having foxtails, so they shaved him down, and I had to take him to the emergency vet. The manager even called the next day to check on him. I've struggled with whether to write this review, but after reflecting on what happened, I feel I must share my experience. I took my two dogs for their first grooming appointment in Reno, and the service was appalling. One of my dogs had beautiful long ears that, while occasionally matted, had never been cut by a groomer before. I specifically asked for her ears to remain long, but when I picked her up, her ears had been nearly shaved off. Although there were a few mats, they should have been removed without destroying the length of her ears. Now, it will take at least a year for her ears to grow back. There were also issues with my second dog, but I can't provide concrete evidence of what went wrong. I'm relieved I retrieved her before they could proceed with grooming. It seems the groomer was simply lazy and chose to cut rather than properly brush out the mats. In 12 years of grooming, my dog has never had her ear hair cut off. If the mats were as severe as they claimed, they should have called me before taking such drastic action. I would have preferred to handle the mats myself. I am extremely dissatisfied with this business. read more

I am so impressed with this shop. It only took 1.5 hours for my pup to have a cleanup including clipping his nails. And if you pay in cash you get a FREE teeth cleaning! As of July 2018, prices start at $45 for clean up groom and $55 for full groom. I decided to try them out after I have had numerous "just okay" or "poor" experiences at my previous groomer. I ultimately chose them after viewing their website - it is so polished, professional, and personal all at the same time. I later found out that I was talking to the owner when I dropped off my pup and she designed the website herself with no professional background in web design! Also, they have 3 locations - this one in NW Reno, the original shop in Truckee, and another on Longley Lane in South Reno. Thank you Jamie and rest of the staff! Our two Shih-tzu' received not so great grooming. Choppy, long bits of hair throughout the chest, belly area and paws. I had to remove a small stone imbedded between the toes intangible in the long piece of hair on one paw. They claimed to have expressed the anal glans of both dogs, but after having to take one to the vet for irritation, then they claim to have misinformed me, that they didn't express the glan. After taking my dog to this place for a few months everything seemed okay. Then one day the cut a chunk out of his ear. They put so much liquid bandaid that it took weeks for me to see the true damage. When I spoke to them about it they blamed our dog and refused to take any ownership. I decided to give them another chance today and the gal there was beyond rude to my sister in law and my brother from the moment they walked in. When I picked him up, she was once again rude and very abrasive. She said our pup wouldn't be done for another two hours and that even though he had already been there two hours she hadn't even started. They didn't notify us they were behind. I asked to just take him and then she said she had already done everything except cut his hair so I would have to pay. So she had "started". Fair, I told her no problem. She then proceeded to charge me the full amount claiming their prices increased. They didn't bother to alert clients of price increases until you show up. I paid. Cancelled all future appointments and will not be returning. She then tried to apologize by blaming her boss for the schedule she gave her, saying she had overbooked her, and that she had a broken toe. None of this was professional. Take better care of your clients and be careful with the dogs left in your care, they are family to us. read more
