Husband got the lunch special which is $20 dine in only. You have an option to choose 3 items. Hubs picked fried tofu, pad seew, and Thai milk tea. I got the kor moo yang with a side of coconut rice. Food was tasty and delicious! This restaurant is such a gem for the Belmont-San Carlos residents. Service is also spot on. You order at the counter and they'll bring the food to your table. As far as ambiance, it was a bit on the quiet side. We probably went after their rush hour. There were about 9 customers at the time we visited. Tried this place for the first time this week. It's a basic hole in the wall no frills place geared towards takeout. Don't expect any service. We had a pad thai and a curry. The pad thai was overly sweet. Had to douse it with a lot of hot sauce to make it palatable. The red curry which we ordered as medium was super mild. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff member who was helpful and happy to answer all of our questions! Their vegetarian options are plentiful and I'm so happy to find a veggie friendly pad Thai place! When you request tofu pad Thai they automatically make it without fish sauce. Im typically adverse to pad Thai made with thinner rice noodles, but I urge anyone with the same opinion to try it!! It was so good and the portion was generous! I have never been to this restaurant before, and with my stupid food allergies, eating Asian and Mexican food is rather hard for me. I was pleasantly surprised when I called, the lady on the other end knew enough about the recipes and could tell me what items had mono sodium glutamate/MSG in them! Yessssssss! We ordered the pad Thai with chicken and the chicken red curry! The pad Thai was such a huge bowl/order that we had to take half of it home, it was delicious and had a lot of flavor! I also thought it was sweet that the Lady taking my phone order double checked to make sure I could have peanuts. Very thoughtful! The chicken red curry was delicious and spicy!! To my surprise it came with a side of rice. The lady said they had brown rice, white rice, and coconut rice! I really wish I had tried the coconut rice, but I was in a hurry when I ordered and I just said white rice, since that's the easiest. Lol but the coconut rice I think would have been a nice savory treat to go with the spiciness of this red curry! There were good chunks of chicken as well as bell peppers and a lot of extra sauce for the curry! I also love their simple Decour that looked very clean and organized!! My boyfriend pointed out how the vents above were actually black and they made the ceiling look brighter or perhaps pop a little since everything else was so clean and white! I loved the outside seating area as well, the bright red chairs with the unfinished wooden tables looked beautiful! I have been going to this place for at least few years. Since it's a bit further from me I can't visit as often but every time I visit it hits the spot. The egg rolls are to die for. This place is good for reasonably priced fast eats. Portion sizes seem pretty good for lunch. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. The menu seemed like it had all the staples of Thai food like pad see ew, curries etc. I tried the panang curry and thought it was tasty. The curry was very creamy and flavorful. Google & Yelp have disappointed us again... pointing us in the direction of this place with high ratings that did not live up to the hype, unfortunately. These days everything has become expensive, so when we go out we are relying on other people's experiences, so we don't waste our time nor money. This place wasn't what we were expecting. They also have their own parking lot. Food was ready in about 15 minutes. Service is very accommodating. Updating to say we have now ordered from Spoon & Fork on many occasions. Consistently delicious! As soon as you park in the parking lot and get out of the car, you can smell how crazy delicious the food is. So flavorful and always sates our cravings. By far our favorite dish is the pork with sweet basil and rice, but everything is good. If they ever bring out a new dish or appetizer, we would absolutely love to try it because at this point we have ordered everything at least once and we have loved it all. The people who work here are always super friendly and welcoming. Food is ready when they say it will be ready. They always decorate for the holidays, which is such a nice touch. We usually takeout but have eaten inside on a few occasions -- it is clean and minimalist but also welcoming. We moved farther from their location but still make trips back for dinner. read more

This restaurant replaced the former PDQ hamburger restaurant. On our visit, indoor dining was still limited. We needed to go a place for a quick bite to eat in Belmont and came across this newish Thai restaurant. I think it was open before the pandemic, but I never tried it. They have a very simple menu with nothing fancy. There were the standard Thai dishes--pad thai, pad see ew, stir fried sweet basil or larb rice dishes with chicken or pork, soups, limited curries and vegetarian dishes. It appears that they offer some regional dishes as well. They also offer some vegetarian options--plenty of choices for both meat and non-meat eaters. We ordered different rice dishes and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it tasted--mostly different versions of larb. Our dishes were very flavorful and mildly spicy...you could taste it, but it didn't leave a burning sensation in your mouth. The dishes start about $12 and I don't think it exceeds $16. I would have never expected this restaurant to be such a gem, considering the location--there are several restaurants scattered around the area, but this part of El Camino is not considered restaurant row. Under new management as of a few months ago but it is just as good! Seriously I travel here from 250 miles out and this is one of the big stops of the trip. If you like it hot this is the place and not just hot but with this special flavor. Have tried making the food at home and come close but no cigar. Everything is good. You cannot miss. Lucky me, I am super close to this lovely Thai restaurant. I had to try a bunch of mediocre Thai places to understand Spoon and Fork is worth the price. I had this MAJOR craving for Tom Yum, so I had Thai food for one week straight (4 restaurants). I ordered from Spoon & Fork out of convenience, and I pretty much hit the Tom Yum jackpot. This Tom Yum was so flavorful and it is only 5 minutes away from me. Perfect spice and sourness and they were so generous with the shrimp inside the soup. After trying their soup, I knew the rest of the food must be good. And they did not disappoint! The pork dish Moo Gratiem and their chicken dish Gai Yang is so good and tender, not dry and the sauce is so good with the meat. Definitely will get a rice dish again next time. I have been coming to spoon and fork now for over a year and it has not lost its quality. I often order the Pad Thai, Eggplant Curry, and the toasted coconut rice. The noodles do not stick together and they are very moist in the sauce, and coconut rice is delicious with toasted coconut flakes. Came here because they offered outdoor seating, and it was large enough for our family of 5. They don't have a lot of outdoor seating but we were the only ones eating in. Came here based on reviews and the food did not disappoint. The pad kee mao was spicy and delicious. I also ordered the fried chicken which was very flavorful with a variety of spices. My kids loved the chicken which is enough for me to come back, especially since one would prefer to be a vegetarian if he could choose, but devoured 3 pieces on his own. They have a sink outside the bathroom which is great if you need to wash your hands and want minimal contact with handles. They have their own parking lot which helps since street parking can get packed on a Friday at dinner. read more
