Amazing!!! Mike and Jessica were both absolutely amazing!! We were visiting Mendocino from out of town when we had a mishap that lead us to having our Jeep towed to them in Fort Bragg. This occurred on a Saturday and we were stranded with no Uber or public transportation . The only rental car facility was also closed. Mike out of his generous heart went way above and beyond with small town hospitality to help 2 stranded strangers. Without going into details he arranged everything we needed , without even being asked, to get us a way back to our hotel in Mendocino. And we never even purchased a thing from them!! My fiancé and I came to Fort Bragg to enjoy a nice vacation weekend. We arrived Friday May 5th and planned on staying until Sunday May 8th. Saturday morning, we found our electric car battery dead and a message telling us to contact the service center for assistance. After contacting the service center to set up a tow, we went to lunch at the restaurant at our motel. We told the server behind the counter about our circumstances; how we had no car, received an Uber credit for the ride home, and still wanted to site-see. The server told us there was only one Uber driver for all of Fort Bragg but there was an Enterprise rental car kiosk at the local Sport Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership. He went on to rave about the customer service at this dealership and that he would only buy his cars from them. We decided to walk over to the dealership only to discover that Enterprise (not affiliated with the dealership) is only open Monday through Friday. At a later point in time, we found that there were no cars available in Fort Bragg because they had all been reserved - but that another story. Back to my six star review - the owner, Michael Slaughter happen to be in at the time, and we told him our story. Even though he knew we were not there to buy a car, he went out of his way to help us get transportation. He so kindly gave us a ride to the bike store where we were able to rent bikes for the weekend, and even called us early Monday to let us know that Enterprise had a cancellation. This worked out perfect because we were going to originally Uber to Ukiah ($127) to rent a car to drive home because, as it turned out, Tesla only gave us an Uber $50 credit, which expired 12 hours from the time they credited us. I also need to add that during our stay we met many locals, of course sharing our story, and found that all of them felt the same way about Sport Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram as the server who referred us originally. Furthermore, when we arrived at the dealership Monday to rent the car, there was a customer waiting in the lobby getting service work done. Michael not only knew her by name, but also spoke to her as if she was a long-time friend. It was amazing to witness the mom-n-pop vibe. So, if you are in the market for a Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, or a used car, I highly recommend checking out Sport Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram first. HAY! I've purchased there twice in the past and even rented a truck once. I actually did some damage too the truck and they were very cool about it (sorry). Their prices are competitive if not better than the mega dealerships and they have great finance options. If anyone can get you approved, these guys can. I don't remember the financial details on the first car I bought there, a 2007 Saturn Ion, but I remember getting a great interest rate on the second vehicle I purchased there (a 2015 Ford Focus SE)...even though my credit score was pretty low. They even sent me a gift basket and thank you card! I still browse the inventory on their website (sportchryslerdodgejeep.com) on occasion, even though I'm not in the market for a car--because they get some really unique vehicles. I've even seen RV's there from time to time. They have a service department for any repair work you might need done. If I remember correctly, (it was over 5 years ago), they fixed something on the 2015 Ford Focus that I had purchased there. It only took an hour or two and didn't cost me anything (it was a manufacturer recall, nothing to do with them--but they happily did the repair). They even washed my car afterwards at their Detail Center. Overall, my experience at the Sport dealership in Fort Bragg, both times--before and after the point of sale was exceptional. These guys were lifesavers! Our classic VW Van broke down in Fort Bragg on our way to our daughter's wedding. We couldn't rent a car due to the covid shortage. Sales adviser Eric Hogue helped us buy a great Nissan with low miles, still under warranty at a very fair price, which allowed us to get to the wedding in time up in Portland. I go to their lot to buy a new car. Did my research first . I get there and the car salesmen did not know anything at all about the cars they are selling !. He could not answer one single question without walking back inside and asking someone else or looking up the answer online. When the customer knows more about the cars the dealership is selling than the actual car dealership salesmen, that's big red flag !. So then I spoke to the owner about his unknowledgeable salesman and he didn't seem concerned at all. So the owner knows that the guy that works for him is a moron and he continues to employ him. What does that say about the owner !. Another huge red flag. This place is not a car dealership !. It is an auto repair shop with a very poor local reputation, that happens to sell cars on the side. I had my Jeep towed here last June. My engine was covered in oil and I couldn't drive it. They called me and said my Jeep was ready to pick up the same day it was towed there. They said someone must have started the engine without the oil filter attached or something to that affect. I said that didn't sound right because I've been driving my Jeep since my last oil change. The manager said that they couldnt find anything wrong with my Jeep and the guy they put on my Jeep thinks this is what happened hence the engine oil all over the engine compartment. I go to pay 50.00 and pick up my Jeep. I notice it's still sitting in the same spot where the tow truck left it. I get in and it won't drive! I was so irritated that they wasted my time and the dude they put on my Jeep didn't do a damn thing. I got my money back and had my transmission replaced someplace else. Never again! Update: Advised the service department is under new management and ensures something like this won't happen again and apologized for the service I received. I appreciate the time the new manager took to review my complaint and offered an apology. read more

Honestly I'm surprised over some of these reviews. I received nothing short of excellent service. Ray is who first started working on a car loan for myself and my husband, he went above and beyond the job. I first found the car i dreamed of on their webpage before giving a call in. The webpage is clean, easy to navigate through and very detailed! Ray managed to work with us on the price with the help of many others! Every part of the team between other sales reps, to the finance guy, to the manager and even the owner were involved in helping us out because of tight circumstances. We did end up with a credit union and received rate we were very happy with and payments that worked for us. We live 3 1/2 hours away and even when stuck in jam packed traffic which caused us to take 5 1/2 hours, Matt stayed past closing time in order to help us purchase the car as planned. Matt made all the finishing details easy and right to the point. My husband and i couldn't thank you all enough. I love my Kia and it was truly a huge help for my family of 5. They told me it was the fuel pump but after they said they replaced it with three different pumps yes three, they said it still needed more work. They told me it wouldn't hold oil pressure because the battery was bad?! Are you kidding me??? So then I began to investigate other people's experiences there. It was brought to our awareness that there were multiple people w similar experience as I had. After 1500 they still couldn't explain what was actually wrong with the car. I am appalled that I got a call berating me for giving my honest opinion on their survey after purchasing a new vehicle. My responses on the survey were accurate and reflective of the entire purchasing experience- not even that low. I was informed that I could have lied about my experience on the survey and now the person has to pay because of the lower rating. If this is how this dealership treats customers, I would never return. No deal there in price either. The entire phone call infuriated me after I hung up. When I brought it (Toyota Camry LE) in at the appointed time of 9:00 AM the man at the desk asked me if I could afford the work to be done. I was so surprised by the question I blurted out "yes". Heck, if I couldn't afford it I would not have been there. I asked for a quote but he never gave me one. He said, "we'll let you know". I found out at the end of the day (5:30 PM) what a cooling system flush and an automatic flush exchange would cost when I got the bill. ($414.00) The mechanic gave me the car and the engine was completely covered with water. He said "Smoky" usually cleans it but he wasn't there. Great. I had to call several times to find out if the work was completed. I waited until 4:00 PM to call figuring that they would call me. When I found out they closed at 5:30 PM and it was 5:20 I ask if the job was done. When I got there I had to wait another half an hour for the job to be completed. I believe they just put my job on the back burner till the end of the day to complete. On the plus side they did supply transportation to and from my home although the ride from my home to the dealership seemed to annoy them. They found a "volunteer" to pick me up. Well, they had a "volunteer" in the morning drive my home, did they expect for me to walk or find a ride in the evening? This was a Friday. They all seemed to want to go home and ignore any extra effort on their part to assist a customer. BE ADVISED!!!!!! read more

This place is great! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I had a hard time finding a shop in town that would service my Audi, these guys really know what their doing and you instantly feel in good hands. I had some issues with my car that i called around town to get quotes on and all of the shops told me that they would not be able to work on it. So, i was having to drive to San Rafael to get worked on. I spoke to Douna Dooley and Dirk Dooley, the owners and they reassured me they would be able to work it and any specialty work they would coordinate with other specialist in the area. So, I dropped my car off in the morning, and when i returned that afternoon everything was fixed and they had even washed it for me! The best was that they personally call you a few days later to see how your car is doing! The price was extremely reasonable. I will definitely be going here again for all my future car services. read more

I just bought a used car from them...they offered me a certain price for the car and then said but lets wait a minute and lets check out your financing options...across the room I saw Matt and Jimmy stating to each other exactly how much money I had in the bank...then Jimmy came back with a price 1500. higher stating that they had done the timing chain and the brakes and that would save me money...so I agreed. Little did they know, nor I myself, that I knew the previous owner...he and I compared notes and the previous owner became very angry that in fact he had done the timing chain and the brakes and had already paid sport dodge to do the work...I talked with Jimmy about this on the phone but he's a crooked salesman and didn't even know I was insulting him....they ripped me off for at least 1500.00 and brakes are screeching. My mechanic said they used cheap parts. I have since spoken with two friends who also felt ripped off by them....crooks!. read more

We had to call roadside assistance, and they sent our car to them. After accepting our car they explained that they would have called us to ask permission for any work more expensive than 160$. After few hours we went back to have an update: the car was ready and they asked 360$. They never called us to ask our permission. They changed one cable: around 40$ for the cable and the rest was labor. When we asked why they didn't call us (we left them 3 different phone numbers), we felt they were very aggressive. We ended up negotiating and we finally paid 260$. They should have asked our permission before starting a job that was more expensive than 160$, but they never did. read more

I guess I had higher hopes for a small town repair shop I took my truck to get smogged $75.00 later and with no answers. Told me I had a check light on but must be burnt out because I can't see it in dash. When I asked what was making the light go on/ what's wrong they did not run a code. But did charge 75.75 for 20 min of work. Also to help save money had a chip under the hood which I guess will not pass smog with and yet they still tried. I would think especially in a small town when word of mouth is so important you might just close the hood and tell the customer take off and bring back. Well as u can see I am not happy with service today! And will not be back. Wish it was not a smog I needed because I would go to The Shop!! read more

I wish I could give this dealer zero stars... I bought my vehicle from Sport Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership (I had to special order it brand new from the factory) in May 2013 and it was delivered to sport Chrysler dealership in June 2013. My vehicle is still under warranty. #1.) I scheduled an appointment for an oil change about a year and a half ago at around 9am. My fiancé brought the jeep in and waited an hour and then asked the service manager Todd, how much longer it was going to take and todd's response was not too much longer. 2 hours go by and still no oil change. After 3 hours of waiting for them to do an oil change and Nothing was done he asked for the keys because he couldn't wait any longer and had to go to work. Customer service here is NOT a priority. Very dissatisfied customer. Will never do business with them again. #2.) California has been in a drought since I bought it mind you. It has been great except for the fact that when it rains, it leaks water inside on onto the floor board of the front driver and passenger side. I have taken it into Sport Chrysler 3 different times for the same thing, not to mention all the other times I have had to take it in to "diagnose" the problem. After 2.5 hours of rain simulation I was told on 4/8/16 that they had in fact confirmed the leak and that they would need to (drive it) to Pacific auto body shop to "diagnose" if it was leaking or not. So I scheduled the appointment. Nothing has been fixed!!!! (Mike- the service manager at sport Chrysler ) says they aren't trained to work on these type of problems and they don't have the tools to fix it. Mike told me he would call me back multiple times and he didn't. I called him to follow up because I wasn't getting a call back and he says sorry, I'll call back, doesn't call. Where do I have to go to get good customer service in Mendocino county? Mike told me to go to Thurston in Ukiah and he hopes they can fix it for me and they are closing out my case... WTF? If you knew Thurston had to tools to begin with why didn't you suggest them 3 months ago? Before taking it to Sport Chrysler Jeep in Fort Bragg, I took it to Lithia Chrysler Jeep in Santa Rosa thinking that they have the tools to fix it only to be told by (Mike- Santa Rosa's service manager) that Jeeps leak and that I should have not purchased it (assuming I knew wranglers have this leaking problem) The carpeting on the front driver and passenger molded and grass started to grow. Santa Rosa replaced it, and they said they replaced the seals, but when I got home, it was still leaking. I had to bring it back to Santa Rosa for them to "fix" and all they did was add more weather stripping (which was never there when I purchased the vehicle in June 2013) #3.) On one (out of 6 different trips to Sport Chrysler ) as I was siting and waiting to check out a rental from enterprise, I heard the owner (bald guy) tell Matt (the guy that sold me my Jeep) that he would pay the first month car payment for a customer (waiting on the phone) and "that should hook her into buying the car" All they care about at Sport Chrysler Jeep is taking people's money and waiting their time. #4.) At this point after having to take it in to 3 different Jeep dealerships and nobody is trained to fix this type of leak, I am seeking legal action as the vehicle is a lemon.
