June 2025, Had a prescheduled appt. for photos to confirm a Hyundai White Paint extended warranty issue. The appt. was set by the Hyundai USA care group. I arrived on time. At approximately 2.5 hours later no photos had been taken. The photos should have taken no more than 30 minutes after I arrived. (I believe that is why we schedule appts.) I finally got a young women in the service dept. to help navigate the issue. It took her about 15 minutes, and she came back and said, it was all done. She even pulled the car around for me. August 2025, they had not submitted info to Hyundai Care to schedule and resolve the paint warranty. They wanted me to schedule with them again and come in for more photos! Hyundai USA reached out and never could get a "real person" that would step up to the plate and commit to helping move this problem through. I tried to contact them by phone, and left messages with my number. Never did Brian, or Blake ever return my calls. I Just kept getting email templates to schedule appt. for service. Guess what Mr. Durst, You have a dog and pony show in your service dept. In the 2.5 hours that I sat and observed.. you really have an atrocity of a "service dept". Mr. Durst... your service dept. should be absolutely ashamed to treat Hyundai automobile owners, so poorly. I listened to more angry, and poorly managed customers.. including myself! I have been here many times and its always the same story...slow, slow, SLOW. There is definitely NOT a sense of urgency at this place. They always say the dealerships are the worst. This place just kind of proves that theory. The Good: uhh...free coffee machine? Poorly stocked for sweeteners though. The Bad: I have never waited less than two hours for an oil change. I have waited over three hours though. I have also been fed some lines before. They once tried too charge me like $150 for the installation of two airs filters that cost less than $30 combined on Amazon...Sometimes you get a friendly and fairly competent person...sometimes you get someone who is looking for the easiest way out and will make things up to cover for their own disinterest and laziness. This is the worst "so called" service outlet on the planet. It took 4 weeks to make an appointment. Brandon Oliver (The Ultimate Unprofessional, Unconcerned person was assigned to be our service NON-advisor) My teen son's vehicle was checked in at 2pm. Brandon Oliver advised it would be ready by close of business. A state inspection, underbody corrosion recall, flush sanitizing the AC vents ($75) and remounting a camera that TC's carwash dismantled while detailing the car. This was the ask of a 2pm one month scheduled out planned appointment . At 5:45pm I called in and asked to speak with him and received voicemail. I called right back to ask what time did the service dept. close and was told by Erica that closed at 6pm. I frantically explained my dilemma in not being told what time the service department closed or the status of my vehicle. Erica, walked over to the service department to let them know my concern of not receiving any updates. Brandon Oliver then makes himself available and states the car was not ready, he would try to make sure it was ready in the morning!!! I asked what was done on the vehicle......Brandon Oliver said, nothing was done on the vehicle!! I asked for a service manager, Brandon Oliver said the Service Manager went home. I am beyond irritated that no one in service answers the phone. Sports Durst Service and Brandon Oliver are running a "fake appointment, stall and no communication scheme!" In other words, get your car in, keep it passed time allotment then bill consumer for poor communication and poor service. I advised Brandon Oliver that I would be coming to get my vehicle after he was short, callous, non-concerned about having a recovery plan to take care of business. Sports Durst Service and Brandon Oliver are running a "Roach Motel" model....you can check in but you won't check out! Save yourself some time and drive over to Johnson Hyundai Cary/Apex, Johnson Hyundai Raleigh or Southern States Hyundai/Raleigh for professionals who answer phones and make appointments. Trust me, I made an appointment with Johnson Hyundai Raleigh- One call, one scheduler, done! Just like my Johnson Lexus experience...which is where I bought my son's preowned Hyundai. The Durham, NC community deserves better and certainly, the taxes are cheaper in Wake county, so take a drive, grab a bite and get treated like you are about to spend a few hundred dollars on a service visit. Long and short: incompetent salesmanship and lack of integrity. We had come a lot closer to a deal with them on a brand new Sonata than I'd like to admit. We originally came because they had a specific model we were after that no one else did. I made a phone call and Jonathan picked up - I asked to put a deposit down of $1,000 to hold the car while we amass the remainder of a very large $13,000 down payment. When we showed up, they made the sale with the understanding that they'll hold the car while we do that. But they made the sale, and I should've known something was up. Reality check: we should not have to sign anything to have a week and a half hold. Jonathan did not conduct our sale, and we were given some other guy who was a HOPELESS hard sell. Since he was such a hard sell, we sailed right on through the confidence tricks and nailed down most of the money-for-nothing charges they wanted. We got a really good deal. But the deal was too good, apparently. Their finance liasion tells me when I call them, as advised, to let them know when I'll be coming in to pick up the car, that he's "having some issues verifying income." I had already sent them our pay stubs and everything is as we warranted. He told me it was an extenuating requirement from Hyundai because we got the recent graduate rebate of $400. I still believe that was a genuine clerical error on our part, but only because other dealerships have told me qualifying for that is weird and potentially not our best avenue. I still think it was unacceptable that it came up now. His first story was that the amounts didn't add up. Some bullshit about year-to-date pay that we never heard about on the sales floor. Then he called me back, allegedly talked to the bank, and told me that Hyundai Bank had noped out of the deal, but he got another bank to approve some 4.2% APR when Hyundai Bank had us at 0% for 48 months. Total horseshit for a married couple with 730+ credit scores each. But y'know, I would actually believe that Hyundai Bank really did nope out - because of them, not us. Probably suspicious to them of upselling, which is exactly what they were doing. Here's my best reconstruction of what the real problem was: Sport Durst had sold a brand new 2021 Sonata SEL+ with a sunroof and premium audio for only $34,000. They were just not making enough money and they were bound and determined to either swindle some more cash for nothing out of us, or cancel the deal and find some sucker who will take it for something closer to the ridonkulous $38.5K the first salesman came back with for us. The salesman went hard sell with us, and disgustingly, the finance liasion went so too when he pulled this garbage up on the phone with us. He even suggested that Hyundai Bank wouldn't give us another loan since "they already have our information and rejected it." The truth is, the application he submitted wasn't to his liking, and so he fudged our income and lied to us that some of it "didn't count." I gave him an out and didn't buy the BS for a minute. Hieu, if you won't do the deal, someone else will. I am not a moron. This dealership is an embarrassment, all the more so for how close you were to closing a deal. I've heard how bad the service is at Sports Durst but never experienced it until last week. I received a recall letter on the emission problem for my Dodge. I called the number, made the appointment and went to Sports Durst to fix the problem. Big mistake! Curt or Kurt (sp?) was so uninterested and lacked any type of customer service skills. Instead of him providing the steps to get my car fixed, it was like pulling teeth to get info at 7:30 in the morning. He would give 1 or 2 word answers. I know he had more words because when one of the female workers walked in, she got a cheerful "Hi Brandy!" yelled from almost ten feet away. After a wasted drive and twenty minutes, apparently, Kurt put me on a list and will call me in a YEAR. Yes, he said it would take a YEAR to fix the emission problem for Dodge. read more

After purchasing 2 vehicles in 2013, we continue to receive horrible customer service from the service department at Chrysler Mazda Jeep. Even on the Hyundai side, they have not returned all calls and voicemails. But, at the Chrysler Mazda Jeep, you literally have to take time out of your day to drive over there to address any issues. After leaving voicemails for many team members, sending emails and speaking to management in-person, they consistently ignore emails & voicemails. And, in-person, they have ALL of the excuses. Most recently when servicing our Jeep Wrangler, they attempted to return the vehicle with puddles of water on the front driver and passenger side floors. This reflects the lack of quality control and also proved that the issue at-hand hadn't been resolved. After picking up the vehicle a month later, we learned that the puddles of water damaged the amp underneath the seat. As expected, they're ignoring us again. So, now my radio doesn't work and I'm forced to pay the audio company to replace the equipment at my expense. I highly advise that NO ONE purchases a vehicle from any of the Sports Durst entities. Once you drive off the lot with your new ride, you're likely to receive horrible customer service for in-warranty & out-of-warranty work. You're better off driving all the way to Cary for quality customer service from a local small business. read more

I made an appointment for a simple oil change. They gave me an appointment for 7:30am. I dropped the car off before they opened and left my key in the drop box. Never received a call. When i called at 1pm, Alex was very dismissive and said I should have waited for the car. Alex said they would get to it right away. I came to pick up the car at 3:30pm, they just started on the car. What good is an appointment if they don't abide by the time? Then to have the service person accuse you of doing the wrong thing is just icing on the cake. I did a test drive here a while back, and looked into a trade-in. My expectations were incredibly low, because car dealers tend to be scummy. Sport Durst met my expectations exactly. The trade-in value they offered for my old car was a joke. The car I went to look at, they had apparently bought from up north, and it had major salt/corrosion issues. After I left they proceeded to call me on the phone repeatedly over the next 3 months, blatantly lying to me in a futile attempt to get me to come back in. SO I do my best to never write 1 star reviews but lets be honest, sometimes no matter how hard you try to 'say nothing' ... you MUST! Man Sport DURST is the WORST! I should have come to Yelp and read what people were saying before stepping foot on the premises. Just scroll down the wall and read what customers are saying. People are warning you to avoid them at all cost. I took my vehicle to Sport Durst (SD) to have some recall work done that in turn should have been free BUT it ended up costing me 10 hours out of work, $15 in Lyfts and a bunch of going back and forth miles and gas on my vehicle. I normally go to Hendrick in Cary (GREATTT work but to far to travel at times) so I was excited to give SD a chance and felt what better way to check them out by way of a recall. Long story short, I took my vehicle to SD to have the work done and when I showed up (because they called me and told me that the part they had ordered had finally arrived), when i got there to have the car serviced, dropped it off, took a Lyft back to work and they (Anthony) called to inform me that the alternator that they had ordered had sold before my car was dropped off. I should have blew up then but I didn't. He ordered another one that arrived next day so they kept my car overnight and gave me some Lyft credits to get around town. Long story short, the next day I called Anthony (mind you I called) to check on my car and he reported that 'they' had lost my keyfob to my vehicle. How the heck does this happen? Ok so now they had to program me a replacement and that took another day. Next day they tell me to come get the car. I take a Lyft to the shop, picked up my car and immediately noticed that the new key was not programmed correctly. The car wasn't even recognizing the keyfob. So that was another trip i had to make to come back to have them fix that. Long story short that 10 hours i burned in vacation time on my job, the money for the Lyfts and the headache of going back and forth would have been avoided if I had of just went to my normal sport (Hendrick Cary). Accident happened in January. They wouldn't let me take my car in until February. Eventually got my car back, but the tire monitor was still going off. Sent me on a wild goose chase to figure out what was wrong. They never answered or returned my phone calls / voicemails. Had to show up in person every time I needed to communicate a message. Car still wasn't working and half the time they refused to acknowledge that the reason my car wasn't fixed was because of their own mistake. They thought the problem was with the manufacturer. They were skeptical to follow the manufacturer's explicit instructions (that turned out to be completely correct.) Once they finally followed the instructions, my car was fixed same day. I didn't get my car totally fixed until yesterday (September.) It took them 8 months to actually fix the damn thing when it should've been a 1 month job, tops. 1 star - never going back. read more

Is it possible to rate a business no stars? Because that's what I would do. My car was wrecked ion 12/1/2019. The obvious damage (told to Ins, tow truck driver from your shop, and someone at your shop) was thumping and pulling when turning the steering wheel while driving. You didn't even notice that until we had it towed back to you after the first time it was "fixed". You tried to reassure me that you'd find a rental car. How do you work in the auto industry and NOT know it's impossible to find rental cars during the holidays? The second time you sent me home with a missing undercarriage cover. How on earth did that go unnoticed?What else is missing? Why would you not double check the under the hood rattle while waiting for parts? You've messed up twice already, you should be going above and beyond at this point. (Third visit to your shop) And now we have to do this again, a fourth time, and into the seventh month. 8/10 times we had to call you for updates, and it was 8/10 times, a further delay. I work in customer service and I would never let a situation get this out of hand. It's beyond obvious that the mechanics did not have someone double check their work, or even a schematic of what parts should be there for a 2014 Escape. Now, even though you're a guaranteed repair shop for Progressive, you're telling me you don't know what is wrong, and to take the car to Ford and pay out of pocket. I've been in a few accidents over the years and I've never had to return a vehicle for additional repairs, much less FOUR times, or had any of the negative experiences I've had with Sport Durst. minutes ago NEW I recently had to have my 2014 Hyundai Sonata removed from Sports Dursts. When my car was towed into the 15-501 location due to what they would find as engine issues, I believed that the problem would be diagnosed, resolved and I'd take care of the costs. Sabre was my service advisor and mentioned that there was a recall on my specific engine. This information was presented and I was advised that the Hyundai corporate would personally contact them and submit the case. That same communication as mentioned by Sabre would end up being a back and forth, dragged out, endless voicemails and hardly returned calls from Hyundai Corporate to the Sports Durst service center between June 2022 -Sept 1. At the time of Sept 1, I was just annoyed about the lack of communication on Sports Dursts' part to resolve the issue. Sabre was consistently unresponsive. The technicians shuffled my papers for several months and after realizing the runaround technique, I finally decided to escalate and ultimately remove my car from Sports Dursts' care. Dom Godshall ( Service Manager ) was the highest escalation point ( due to my own research ) and was too unresponsive through email and by phone. This was noticed after* he personally told me to email him my issues when I physically went to the location. Overall, the entire service department will actually lie to get you off of the phone or simply push their customers to the " advisors" voicemail. Hyundai corporate left so many voicemails for the service advisors to return their calls - that they ultimately had to reassign my case to another corporate agent. This went on from June - August. Mind you, my car sat on their lot since May 2022 up until Sept 1, 2022. When I finally decided to have my car towed to a reputable location this is what they found ( see photos ) Not only was a lied to about my vehicle but they actually had my vehicle sitting on the lot for months with the engine, spark plugs and everything else exposed to the elements. ( please see photos ) As a consumer, I would have had no idea of the damage or what was left under the hood. I wouldn't even think to lift the hood to see what they didn't do. Please keep in mind that my car had not moved and remained in the same location when I was told that it was being " inspected " for review for corporate from the " PA" Ultimately, after going elsewhere I was able to have another inspection done. Sports Durst said that couldn't produce photos, due to the fact they had already cycled out of the system. I received no receipt notating the damage or the things that were done. None. So after May - September and after calling consistently... at the end of several months Sports Durst provided no exit ticket or documentation. It also gets better, unbeknownst to me, Sabre handed me the WRONG keys with a sticky note attached. I could have walked off the lot with someone else's car being towed. When I inspected the key and mentioned that it was not my key - Sabre had an attitude and insisted that it was mine. She then went to look for my key and found the correct one. The whole issue was / is sad. I wouldn't recommend this location for service as they are not honest and unresponsive. Regular maintenance possibly* but DO NOT have your car towed here. The corporate "act" is the best way for them to avoid actually having to work on the hundreds of cars sitting in the back of their lot. It's sad and yes they will drag it out for months. read more

Avoid their body shop like the plague. Our experience with these people have been absolutely, hands down, the worst people we have ever done business with. Can you imagine just needing a bumper replacement on your truck, and getting the total runaround about it? That last for 3 months? Out Silverado Pickup was rear ended on Jan 8th 2022. Insurance company referred us exclusively to Sort Durst's Body shop. First Durst put us on a waiting list before they would even look at it. We finally was privileged to take it in for service on February 21st. Today is April 21st. Most of our phone calls have been directed to voice mail. They do not call you back. On the rare occasion we have talked with someone, they just have excuses why it is not ready yet. Inquired why it was taking so long. Replies have been, Insurance wanted them to find a bumper in a JUNKYARD. They couldn't find one at the junkyard, so they were forced to order one. Then they told us they ordered one and received it, but it was for a different truck. They say they will order the right one this time and it would be ready in one week. That was two weeks ago. We have called and called those people, but they obviously don't really care if the work gets done or not. I have no idea when we can get our truck back. The rear ender's insurance was Progressive. This review is for my first service experience at Sport Durst. I'd been wanting to post this ever since we purchased a new Hyundai Accent in July. I was delighted with the car and how my wife and I were treated at the dealership - but chose to wait until one minor detail was resolved... ...and the delay was my own, owing to my schedule as a middle school teacher. The car appeared to have come without the "standard" heated side view mirrors... something I had expected and wanted in a new car. (The 2012 Accent we'd rented in Nova Scotia last summer had them; it was only reasonable to expect them in a deluxe 2013, especially when advertised on their website!) After SD said they weren't available for this car, I'd wound up emailing Hyundai America (in late July), and being told several times that it was "a dealer issue" and that they should have been installed "at the port." They also said they'd contacted the manager at Sport Durst so that he'd be able to help. ...which brings us to the present week, when (on Black Friday) I finally had the chance to go back to Sport Durst. Despite some early confusion, I was quickly handed over to Dave, the Dealership Manager. It took about ten minutes to discover that the car really had been equipped with those mirrors, but for 2013 Hyundai had done away with the separate switch to power them up (it had been present on the dash of the 2012). Not only had the circuit been connected to the rear window defogger, *that* information had been buried deep in the owner's manual. Props to Dave for finding it! At 4,600 miles, my Accent wasn't yet ready for its first oil change (Hyundai recommends oil and filter every 7,500 miles) but I'm old school, where 3,500 was the standard. Dave asked if I had a little time - and told the service desk to put mine in next, and to rotate the tires as well (due at 5,000). He also instructed the service department to give me the next "three-pack" of oil changes free... all because of the trouble I'd had getting an answer to the question about my side view mirrors! ...oh, and my wife and I had planned on hiking that afternoon - and so he gave us a loaner (a 2013 Tucson) for as long as we needed. Upon our return, I'd expected to pay for the tire rotation. Instead, I was handed a receipt detailing all of what had been done, with the notation "No Charge." Nice! In summary - we went with a bona fide complaint about our new car. We were heard, our problem resolved, and we were treated with the utmost respect. I have no hesitation to recommend this dealership to any of my friends or family. read more

My Car was in Service for over a month. In this time there were hardly 2 call i received for an update on my car. I called the Hyundai Team number of times (10+ calls and 10+ VoiceMails) and there was no single response. I had to physically go to the location to get the status update on the car and only thing I hear was it's still work in progress with no ETA. One fine day, I received a call (after 40 days) they just mentioned it's fixed and pick up your car. I picked up the car in the morning and the Service representative mentioned Sir, your car is detailed and ready. When I checked the car, it was not even touched and dust all over the place. I asked the representative there and he said oh it's not detailed I am so sorry. This is the kind of service you get. I asked about the problem with car and the representative just read the lines from the records. They are not even sure what the problem was and just said this is what is written in the form. What kind of skill/knowledge is that? After 40 days, you get your car back without any explanation or any courtesy of cleaning the car. I could have given 0 or negative stars but there is not option. I know this place in the past has not gotten the best reviews and it's safe to say that the place has changed. I started coming here in July, 2015 and didn't meet the nicest people there. I've seen some new people work there and it's been a HUGE difference. I went to get my oil change. I just got the 4 oil changes for $64.99 and it's a good deal for me. When they mean fast service, they mean it. I only waited 30 minutes for my oil change. They even cleaned the inside of my car! So sweet. While I was in the waiting room, one of the associates brought us water and coffee. That is a huge plus. I would recommend people come early in the morning to get their service done. Overall, this place has improved a lot! I will be taking my car back here to get service. I haven't given it a 5 because I would love for them to keep up this good service. You decide, I went in with a relatively new vehicle for oil change and tire rotation at there 'express' service center. The vehicle is covered under their Jeep Wave and Mopar extended warranty and has regular maintenance ... the technician said software needed to have an update... wouldn't take long and was covered under warranty ... no charge for update... after 2 hrs service intake person stopped by to tell me they were working on my vehicle. After 3 hrs I went to ask about it... express service, you know... and he's going to check on it... another 30 minutes he says... I guess that software update was pretty extensive.... The good news, I should only owe 21.95 + tax, a charge for the tire rotation.... Now you might wonder why I didn't make an appointment if I was in a hurry..I want you to know I did call and try to make an appointment and was told they didn't make appointments for oil changes...now I guess I should've reconsidered letting them do that software update, but the service tech did lead me to believe it wouldn't take long...so, I have learned, next time (and it will be at a different on Hiplace) if they tell me I need anything additional I'll be sure to have them schedule it and only get the oil change I originally wanted. Meanwhile, I continue to wait, I would like to use the restroom, but there is no toilet paper and the floors are dirty...m3 hours 45 minutes later the express service was completed read more

When we went to pick it up they kept it two more days because they were having difficulty making a repair that was supposed to be done before we arrived. Five days later the repair failed. They took the car five more days (the repair was to replace a tire pressure sensor). We finally asked for a loaner and were told we could get it the next morning. When I went to pick it up, the woman "handling" us said she told us to get it later in the day and called my husband a "liar". I went to management and told him we would not work with her anymore and expected to be treated with respect. We finally got our car back. I got a call that the tags had arrived. I went to pick them up and was presented with a property tax bill. PROBLEM: Our cash payment included the car, all taxes, title and tags. I refused the tags. Our salesman had left for the day. We will talk to him tomorrow. NOTE: While dealing with the repair issue, I overheard another customer very upset because they tried to pull the same stunt with them over the tags. BEWARE: Sport Durst will rip you off any way they can. The story isn't over. I'll post an update when the saga is over. We bought the car on June 10. It is now June 27. I will NEVER use sport durst Jeep service again. I took it in for a shifter issue. They did the diagnostic, told me what I needed and scheduled my service for the next week because they had to order the parts. I called the day before my appointment to confirm the parts had arrived. They knew nothing about me or my appointment. After putting me on hold, they came back and said only one of the parts was in, scheduled me for the next week and said they would call when the part arrived. Repeat previous sentence two more times. In the meantime, the issue wasn't happening anymore, so I decided to wait and see. Two months later it happened again so I started calling trusted mechanics. They couldn't help with the issue. My husband called sport durst again and left a message. They still haven't called him back. I'm planning on calling west gate Jeep in Raleigh. SAVE YOURSELF STRESS, TIME, MONEY, AND FRUSTRATION. The biggest regret is choosing this company to purchase a vehicle with. I would never recommend them to anyone. The buying process was easy but once they had to own up to what they promised it because a problem. Within 7 days the vehicle would not start, the trunk would not function properly and obviously I was upset since the first thing I told Dame was I would like a reliable vehicle when I came in to purchase and I feel they are only trying to get over on people. I was reassured that they checked everything but when I reached out to the managers (hieu or hugh Wind and Trey) they all stated this is what happens when you purchase a used vehicle not taking ownership or apologizing at the very least that there was a problem that obviously was not checked. They refused to take the vehicle back for me to get another. With having two children and two parents with health issues I provide for I feel I can not trust the vehicle I was sold. It did not work when I needed it the most in LESS THAN 7 BUSINESS DAYS OF PURCHASE! They sent a tow truck to pick the vehicle up after multiple phone calls on my end. The Gentle man that picked up my vehicle stated to me they get this all the time that there has been so many issues with this company getting over on customers and not owning up to their word when it comes to issues with vehicles. Fast forward 3 days later the vehicle was driven back to me with the tire pressure light on and both batteries to the key fab dying. In which I had to get replaced less than 14 days of purchase. Today I get a call to pick up my plate. So as Dame told me to do I asked about getting my windshield replaced as he stated would be done when I purchased the vehicle (in front of my father who was also present) after they transferred me multiple times and no one new what I was talking about they asked me to call Dame and let him work it out. I call Dame and now I am being made out to be a liar because he told us one thing and documented another. He has made it out as if he never said that he would be sure the windshield would be replaced when he did. so I have absolutely no trust in this entire company. The only one that is even trying to fix the issue at this point who is Mike (another manager there) so I can appreciate that but it does not make up for the extreme unnecessary amount of stress I have had to deal with with this company and vehicle. Echoing Aneil's review. Oil change takes 90 minutes+, with appointment. And that's the time it takes until you see your car parked in the front lot and come ask about it. They like to make sure they don't interrupt your waiting room experience by letting you know it's finished. And oh, what a waiting room experience. It's like an airport, only grimmer. The TV competes with soft rock which competes with frequent cackles from the overhead speaker system. Your options are burnt coffee or high fructose corn syrup from an archaic vending machine. If you can avoid this place, you'll be happy you did. read more

Went in to look at used cars. First day was great. They showed me a Mazda 6 right in my price range and after a test drive I was pretty convinced. I asked for a day to think about it and I ended up not being able to return for 3 days. Over those three days they contacted me every single day telling me they were holding the car for me. I went back with intention to buy, and when I walked through the doors they informed me they had made a mistake and the car was $2,500 more than they told me before. Not only is this extremely shady generally, but they had spoken with me 4 days in a row about the car, but never informed me of the price change until I was in the dealership ready to buy. Then to add insult to injury, the manager came over to speak to me about why I was upset. When I told him that it was not okay to change prices after days of hassling me to buy at a certain price, he sneered back at me and told me I would never find a reliable car for $11,000 and I needed to go up in my price. The next day I bought a 2008 Toyota Camry hybrid with 90,000 miles on it and a 25,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty for $10,000 somewhere else. That is, I got a nicer car for less money from an honest seller-it just definitely wasn't Durst Automotive. read more

Here for my 2nd review because I was dumb enough to take my car back to this craphole. First review may be on Yelp - long story short I went to pick up my 2017 Tucson after having protection coating applied (which I was told was done the night I bought the car but turned out to be a lie) and my car had been dropped off to someone else's house. When I went to get it, no one from service dept could locate the vehicle. The service manager said he couldn't even lie to me but the car was at another persons house who has the same model, color, etc. They sent someone to get it but they didn't understand why I was so mad. To them it was no big deal. The manager above the service mgr even was smiling and chuckling about the matter and asking what did I expect him to do...um make this right? Free oil changes? Apologize? Idk think of something asshole. He obviously has no customer service skills or common sense. Moving on to my most recent experience...driving on 40 a few weeks ago I hit something in the road and my tire blows. Call Bluelink they said tow truck would arrive within 60. After 70 min I call and get no answer from towing company. Husband comes and puts on spare so I could get to nearest dealership (Sports Durst) as Bluelink has already told them to expect me. I inspected that tire and rim throughly after husband took it off and placed in trunk prior to dropping off at Hyundai. Go to pick it up the next day and there are 2 scratches/dents on rim. Looks like the machine used to bolt tire on may have slipped out of mechanic hand and hit rim. Either way my husband called the manager of Sports Durst (Brian Peck) and drove down to the dealership multiple times to resolve nothing. The people who work here have no morals or values. Their goal is to get your money and screw you over any way possible once you drive off the lot. Calling Hyundai does nothing. Avoid this dealership at all costs!!!! Johnson Hyundai has so much business due to crappy service provided by Sports Durst. They really shouldn't be affiliated with Hyundai at all as it just ruins Hyundai's reputation. All they will do is screw you over. They don't give a crap about their customers. Thank you Brian Peck for costing me over $100 to fix my rim your workers damaged. I'll start this review off by saying two things: -based on my experience with their service department, I'm surprised at the low reviews -based on my experience with their sales department, I'd rate the dealership lower than I have However, as a loyal customer of their service department for close to 6 years now, I truly feel that they continue to earn my return business. The service department has always been straight-forward, the staff has been friendly, the waiting area clean, and the shuttle service convenient if/when needed. When I've waited for my vehicle, they've been accurate in stating waiting times. And at just over $20 for an oil change, why go to Jiffy Lube (where my husband goes, and has had a number of far-from-great experiences). I've had a number of repairs needed over 6 years - both in and out of warranty - as well as a couple of new tire changes. While I'd certainly suggest you do your research and comparison shop to ensure you're getting the best price - Sport Durst service has been relatively competitive, and has price-matched when possible. Because of this, I admit I've actually paid a bit more on occasion for the peace of mind and exceptional service I know I get here. Again, good customer service has bred loyalty (and I'm not always easy to please!). As for their sales department, I had a terrible experience 6 years ago with the staff there - and bought my Mazda elsewhere. If I was in the market again, I'd comparison shop here, and see if they work to earn my business. But I would definitely walk in having done a LOT of research first. read more

Yes! So, if you read my review of Johnson Hyundai in Cary, you will know why I ended up here at Sport Durst. I didn't by my Equus here, but I wish I had, based on the service experience I have had. I showed up here broken and pissed off at the other dealer in the area because of exceptionally bad service. This dealer seemed genuinely glad to have me as a customer. Ethan in the service department was accommodating, professional, pleasant and concerned with my needs. They service TWO of my cars in the same weekend. If you are reading this and trying to make an informed decision on which dealer to go to, my experience would lead me to enthusiastically suggest Sport Durst over the other dealer mentioned above. The maintence consultants were friendly, but seems as though they are unable to repair the vehicles they sell. I was having a problem with my radio in my Jeep that was covered under warranty. The maintenance staff insisted that the problem was with my iPhone rather than the Jeep. Over the course of several days of the Jeep sitting in their shop they were unable to fix the issue. Took the Jeep to the dealer that i bought it from (close to 45 minutes away) and it was fixed in 30 minutes while I waited. read more

Watch Out When You Deal With Their Service Dept. Either no one works there bothers to check and makes sure the "deal" they offer for oil change or they're flat out lying to get you in the door. I asked for a quote on my 2014 Mazda CX5, which I know needs synthetic oil. Someone told me again and again it's 64.99 for 4 oil changes. Which is just TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, when around town it's around 60 bucks for one time. I checked on their website just to make sure, and it specifically states NO SYNTHETIC. WTF!!! Got another guy the second time called, he told me it is 64.99 I pay upfront, but when I come in each time I pay 20 extra for synthetic blend. Which makes more sense, but I wonder what if they don't honor that when I bring my vehicle in for the second, or third, or forth time??? How will us know if the tech actually knows the difference of the oil he's putting in a vehicle if he doesn't have a clue quoting it? Anyway, be careful with a shop that has no clue on what they're telling you, or even worse, would lie to get you in the door. read more

Typical bait-and-switch with mandatory add-ons and captive financing rates, stay far-far away! As a veteran, I used my USAA benefits to get in touch with a dealer for a great deal and they sent me to this stealership. After a test drive and some email communication they claimed that they would beat the best price that I received by $500. I showed up today with my other price and the manager hemmed and hawed about fine print etc. When he would not beat my other quote, I produced an email from Sport Durst with a lower offer than what he was offering me. At first he mumbled something about how that was not an authorized price. He then said that I had to use their financing and that there was an additional $950 "accessory" package that was mandatory and that it was in the fine print. I asked him to show me this fine print in the email and he could not find it. I was ready to walk out and he finally said that he would honor the price that they quoted me via email. Really? Is it now optional to honor your written contract? But, they said I had to use the Mazda financing but they would keep the incentives. Their financing was three points higher than USAA and the pricing they used put their price over $3k over their closest competitor if I did not use their financing. When I told them, in no uncertain terms, that would not work for me and is not in line with their low price "guarantee" as it is actually $3,200 over the next lowest out-the-door price, they brought out a finance guy to do some creative accounting and show how if the numbers are shifted around and you squint just so, it is not that much more expensive. At this point, my wife and I are incredulous. We both have multiple master's degrees (mine are in business) and we cannot believe that a major Mazda dealer is trying to pull an old-fashioned bait-and-switch. I think because we are Hispanic and young they felt that this would work on us. Sorry, my wife graduated Summa cum laude from Columbia University and we are not falling for that. The sales manager was then very rude and essentially showed us the door. The sales man on the other hand was polite and the issue here was management not the sales personnel. We expected to drive home in our new vehicle as we had showed up with a pre-negotiated price that management refused to honor once we were there. In summary, this is a terrible dealership that should not be in partnership with USAA as they obviously do not honor their own word, much less our veterans. Their predatory sales style attempts to prey on minorities and people of color that they assume are ignorant of simple math. Not only did they lose my business, but I will never service my vehicle there nor will I purchase my KTM, that I had planned for this spring, from their sister power sports dealership. took my vw in for a check engine light and it was running rough. several days later i got a phone call from the service writer, she said it would take $2,055.47 to fix the problem. my car sat there for several weeks. when i finally got my car back, paid the bill and everything went outside started the car and check engine light was still on. went back in had service manager come out and explain what happened. he advised me i had nothing on the bill for check engine light. when i got the bill it wasnt even the bill i signed, what they gave me was unsigned. the service manager said he would take care of it. when i got the car home finally the check engine light came right back on. they said when i callled that corp said they would no longer work on my car. this is terrible, bad business. billy j goines read more

A couple of years ago, I was looking for a new car and made the rounds to quite a few dealers in the area searching for the right car and the right deal. Millenium was actually one of the first few I visited, and right off the bat I got pretty good service. I saw they had the model I liked on the lot and I spoke to the salesman regarding pricing, financing, etc., but the deal just wasn't quite good enough to get me to buy right away. So I stepped back and continued shopping around. I checked out other dealerships in the immediate area, as well as the region, and quickly found that most did not treat me anywhere near as respectfully or in a helpful manner. After a few more bad experiences at other dealerships, I came back to Millenium where I found they had another of the car I liked, but in a color I liked even better! I again worked with the salesman to set up arrangements for price and financing. Like any car deal, there was some negotiation - but the tone was never rude or condescending as it had been at so many other places. We eventually worked out the deal, I drove my Tiburon off the lot, and I love it to this day. Since I've had the car, I've taken it back to Millenium's service department a couple of times for routine maintenance, oil changes, etc. Their prices for scheduled maintenance are actually iin line with (if not cheaper) than many independent shops, which shocked me. Their service is also very fast...I guess when you only work on one make of car, you know it inside and out. If you're looking to buy a Hyundai (or Mazda), I'd definitely recommend stopping by Millenium to take a look at the selection. If you already have one and need a quick oil change or routine maintenance, I'd recommend them for that as well. read more
