While The Good Feet Store does sell footwear, they have an extremely small selection. Why? Selling shoes turns out to be not really what they do. What they do is sell a system of various inserts for one's shoes to help with various ailments that cause foot pain and discomfort. The footwear they sell has (presumably) been vetted to be effective with their insert system. I was greeted by the sole employee shortly after I entered by being asked whether I had an appointment or not. I told him that I was really just looking for another pair of shoes, and he remarked about my Brooks footwear being great. One of the brands they sell is Brooks. He added that they may be able to fit me in for a fitting if I could wait for an hour or so (that a fitting takes approximately 45 minutes). Since I didn't have the time to spare, and since I only needed a new pair of shoes, I opted not to wait. He gave me his business card and said that I could call at any time to make an appointment. At this point, I was still a bit confused, honestly, because, as I said, I'd just entered and was looking to purchase a pair of shoes. I'd have really appreciated it if the employee had explained to me what they do since he seemed to have assumed that I already knew (which I didn't). How I found the answers that I included in my introductory paragraph was by reading the signage on the walls inside of the establishment after the employee finished with me to tend to the other customers. I'll consider their system if I ever find the need to, but if you're just looking to purchase footwear, this is probably not a good place to go.

They asked a few questions to figure out what I was looking for and what I had worn before, and then promptly brought out multiple options to meet that criteria. They don't pressure you into sales, and they give you plenty of time to try things on and walk around with them (including on an in-store treadmill). While the prices are maybe 2-3 times as expensive as what you could get for a cheap knockoff on Amazon, it feels good to support a local business and have guidance in choosing the right shoe for you. We enrolled our 5 yr old in BJJ at River City Warriors nearby, and we were recommended to go here for gear. At first, I wasn't sure if they would carry a gi this small for my kiddo, but to my surprise, they did! Excellent selection to choose from in terms of boxing gloves, apparel, and gis! When we stepped into the shop, we were greeted and immediately saw a vast amount of boxing gloves sitting neatly on display. There are a lot of shirts related to fighting that people can rep. On the right-hand side lined up against the wall, there are gis in various sizes. They have sizes from infant to adult. My 5 yr old is about 30 lbs. She's petite and fits a size 0000. The gis come in white, blue, and pink. She chose blue! The quality is excellent too. Thick, starchy, and rich in color. The young person came to help us answer any questions we had and checked in the back to see if they had a gi in blue in size 0000. Thankful they had it! Otherwise, we would have had to place an order and waited a week for it to come in. For size reference: 0000 fits probably a 3-4yr old. It's slightly longer in the arms and the length of the pants, but she fits it pretty well. We can roll it up a little and that seems to fit perfectly. The brand we bought was Fuji. Great location even though the parking lot is small. Very busy location! Next to ColdStones and La Sen Vietnamese food.
