    And they're dog friendly!!

Third coast is the best sand volleyball facility in Texas. They have amazing courts that are well taken care of and amazing staff! They also have closed off outdoor showers and super nice restrooms where they provide deodorant, body spray, and even extra feminine products. They have open play and run great tournaments for every skill level. Everybody who works there is great and clearly care about their customers and facility! :)

This place has a really nice atmosphere! It is around a pretty semi-sketchy area, but once I entered I felt like I was in the beach! Wooden floors, tv's, a bar, and even showers or sinks to rinse off the sand. A few friends and I came over as beginners wanting to learn the sport- disclaimer, everyone there knows how to play volleyball but they are also extremely nice and welcoming- and we were invited by people that knew what they were doing to just play around and learn with them. Ultimately everyone including the staff is open and will not treat you any less regardless of if you know what you are doing or not. I haven't been to any other beach volleyball court but I highly recommend that if you're afraid of playing because of your level of experience come here and enjoy yourself, no one judges! Overall great experience and will be back here again!

First visit was opposite from some of the reviews on here. Service from beginning to end was impeccable. Space is not byob BUT they have awesome local beers on tap or canned. For the ladies they also had rose & Pinot Grigio in the can. We loved the fact that we were able to bring our own food since they didn't offer food on site. The weather was cold & all the fire place was lit and illuminated the space which made it very cosy. Huge volley ball space , very clean, fun out door space. Awesome bar area. Definitely will be back!! Big plus they're dog friendly & kid friendly. Thank you to the Owner Kimberlee who realized it was my birthday and gifted me a T-shirt. How sweet, thank you for an awesome night !

I love volleyball. I don't know if it's the smacking the balls around, or the beating the crap out of the boys ( I can do that at bowling too!), or the sand and sun and fun. It's probably all of the above. Well, combine those with great atmosphere, friendly people, cheap drinks, and even some decent music and you get Third Coast! I recently joined a recreational (read: It's been 10 years since my ass has actually been on a volleyball court) league that started last Thursday (through sportsmonkey.com). It's great!!! They have several courts, from 4sums playing recreationally, to bikini-clad hard bodies spiking across the court. Watch out! There's a bar for water or beer, several cozy seating areas, both under canopies and out in the sun, and outdoor showers. Early in the evening there were a few kiddos running around but as it got later (it was a school night!), it definitely had a more adult-vibe going on. They have open play for pretty cheap admission on Sundays 1030-630, if you feel like hitting a couple balls around, or just watching the bikini-clad bodies jump around. Whatever floats your boat..

Awesome! Although located in a shady part of town once inside you forget your in Houston. Looks like a little beach gateaway outside the inner loop. Great customer service and well priced drinks. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Come check out this place if you want to play and get away from the Metropolitan city.

The communication is abysmal, particularly from Sarah and Alicia, who are repeatedly unresponsive and unhelpful. Emails go ignored, questions are dodged, and if you do finally get a reply, it's vague and often inaccurate. They don't follow up, they don't follow through, and unless you ask five or six times, you will not get any clear answers or confirmations. You are constantly left chasing them down just to get the most basic information. To make matters worse, they will charge you whatever they want, whenever they want, without warning, explanation, or approval. You won't be notified of fees or changes unless you hunt them down to ask. If you're offered a credit, promo, or adjustment, take a screenshot and save every email, because they certainly won't help you figure anything out after the fact. Once you've signed up, you're on your own. Bijan is somewhat more communicative, but not enough to make up for the chaos. There's clearly no leadership or accountability here -- it feels like a group project where no one knows what their role is, and no one really cares. Facility-wise, it's barely above average. Courts are often overbooked, the gym space is mediocre, and amenities are inconsistently maintained. You're paying premium rates for a second-rate experience across the board. Bottom line: The Downtown Met is a textbook case of mismanagement and indifference. For a place that calls itself a "premier fitness and tennis club," it operates more like a poorly run pop-up gym with no structure or respect for its members. Look elsewhere, literally anywhere else would be a better use of your time and money.

Since I mapped it out beforehand, I knew where to park and how to get to the gym. This was a fairly large shopping area, but EQX was right there, and the desk is there in front once you enter. There was a really nice girl this day with long braids, and she directed me upstairs to the locker room and informed me that parking validation was not necessary at this time; the gate just went up as you pulled up to it. Perfect! After going upstairs, I did wander around and then a trainer directed me over to the locker room, which was spacious and very clean. The fitness floor is on the second, and as soon as I found the treadmills, I knew where I belonged. Light movement in the stretching area after, and then back to a shower with decent water pressure. What I was fascinated with was how friendly staff was. Trainers actually smiled and said goodbye which you won't normally see in California or New York. I certainly wasn't at home! Compared to other locations, this one was very low-key, although I admit I came during the afternoon where it was probably quieter. I had forgotten this is the location that I was in contact with back in 2020 when I had ordered some masks from their shop since they were actually open. I had such a good experience that the trip here to see them in person was worth it!

This year we signed our kid up to play here for the convenience and we loved it! The fields were really nice. Sometimes the kids played on the softball fields which were real dirt and grass. Fields had bleachers and lights. The last game the kids played on the turf baseball field. These fields seemed really nice. (Though, I personally have never played on turf, let alone slid on a turf field). There are restroom facilities here, though, I never used them. It is kind of a hike to get to from the softball fields... closer for the baseball fields. There is also a playground and pavilion. On the far side of the complex off of Kingsley, there is an BRAND NEW all-inclusive playground. It's pretty amazing. There is a restroom and drinking fountain at this amenity too. My husband said he believes the enclosed baseball field next to the playground might be for deaf kids??? I can't confirm. There are also soccer fields here. My kids aren't into soccer yet so I can't say much about them. They do appear to be turf fields as well. Nonetheless, this complex is pretty awesome and I'm proud it's in our community.

Areas broken for months never fixed. Continued... -ladies exfoliating in the sauna and in the hot tub so gross! -mold on the floor and walls of the hot tub not cleaned for over a year I finally left villa. -blood by the pool and showers not cleaned up for three days! THREE! What are the cleaners doing? Apparently nothing. Even after I pointed it out. -roughly spoken to by a guy who takes care of the area (I assumed) by the indoor lap pool. I was pregnant and hurting and needed my nightly stretch in the pool which is the main reason I paid to go there and I can't use the hot tub while pregnant. Arrived at the same time as usual. There was another person swimming but the man present didn't like women or I don't know but he told me "it's closed" and didn't give me an explanation. I question and shared how I REALLY need to stretch I'm in pain and it's supposed to be open another 40 minutes on schedule and there is clearly another person swimming in front of us, so how can it be closed? He just yelled at me and still didn't tell me why. I have no idea who or why he was there. Cane other days when pool was support he open and they had signs saying closed" when it was supposed to be open. They don't really have a good amount of machines other than tons of treadmills compared to LA fitness. And as others mentioned they stay broken a long time. But I need to work my back and don't use free weights. The hot sauna was broken for MONTHS! And was so unclean inside. I couldn't believe I had been sitting in there. But I'm sure it was due to the lady exfoliating herself and no one cleaning it! It makes me want to vomit thinking of it. I wanted a water yoga class but they didn't have evening classes for me. Only during the day when I couldn't go. For a large expensive place it makes no sense they could not hire for evening classes. Kids area-while I don't trust anyone to watch my kids personally, my best friend had a terrible experience there. Other kids would bully her kids and staff didn't seem to care. She could only take her kids a set limited time during the day so too bad if you can't make that block of time despite the fact you pay twice as much to bring kids you can literally only go when they say you can because pools and splash pads for kids aren't open or are closed constantly. The last straw was her son was arguing with his sibling as siblings do, but it was handled terribly. Instead of going to get her if there was indeed a problem , the staff dragged him down the hallway and when he thought he was out of sight, she saw him throw him on the ground. She happened to have come down for pick up at the time and was following them wondering why he had her son down a secluded hallway alone, He didn't apologize or anything. Terrible way of handling a child.

This facility looks impressive from the outside and presents beautifully during a tour. But once…read moreyou're a member and start paying attention, the cracks become very clear. In seven years, I have attempted to contact the general manager on multiple occasions with concerns and do not believe I have ever once spoken to him. That says everything. Where do I begin. The issues at this club have been so numerous and consistent that we feel obligated to warn others. Our son was kicked out of the weight room for wearing cotton pants and a t-shirt. When we called to complain, we were told there is no apparel policy against this. He was humiliated for a rule that doesn't even exist. Last Friday, my husband and I drove to the club to use the hot tub, only to find it closed two hours early for an employee meeting -- no sign on the door, no website notice, no email to members. We weren't alone: multiple other members were standing at the locked door, just as blindsided as we were. The weight room and pool are unmonitored at this time anyway so it would have cost nothing to leave one person at the front desk so paying members could at least get in. Most recently, a family friend who is a college swimmer and a fellow member of this very facility was helping my child work on swim strokes in the pool. Staff told us to stop and nearly removed us, citing a rule that only VillaSport trainers can provide instruction. No consideration was given to the fact that this was a fellow member, not an outside instructor, doing something kind for a friend. The billing situation has been a saga. After we changed our payment method, the club kept charging our old card and hit us with late fees through no fault of our own. When we tried to resolve it, we were referred to corporate in California instead of getting help locally. Staff gave us contradictory and outright incorrect information -- one person told us there were no late fees on our account at all, and when we logged in ourselves, we found multiple. We had to fight to get most reversed, and one remains on our account to this day. During Covid, we chose to continue paying our full membership fees a gesture of loyalty to the club and were promised guest passes in return. It seems like every time we have tried to use one, we have been told there are none on our account. We pay over $400 per month for this membership and can't bring a friend occasionally?! And then there's the facility itself. Mildew in the locker room Jacuzzis is not what you expect from a club charging luxury prices. We originally joined in large part so we could relax in the indoor hot tub while keeping an eye on our younger children in the play area and pool. That Jacuzzi sat nonfunctional for roughly two years. The club's solution? A sign next to the jets button reading "bubbles are for outside tub only" -- as though reframing a broken amenity as an intentional policy was somehow acceptable. And there is an indoor-outdoor hot tub with a sliding glass door between the two sides that would be perfect for families and kids. We have been members for seven years and have never once seen it open. The food situation is almost too on the nose. A facility billing itself as a luxury wellness club has replaced wraps and salads with pizza, hot dogs, and hamburgers as its only food offerings next to $12 smoothies (made with powders and no actual fresh fruit). Make that make sense. After seven years, the pattern is clear: this club prioritizes attracting new members and pushing additional fees (personal training, add-on services) over actually taking care of the members it already has. We joined for a place of rest and relaxation but every time we walk in the door, there is some kind of issue! The saddest part is the wasted potential. Cypress is a tight-knit community that would embrace a place like this -- but the experience here is night and day from the sister location in The Woodlands. VillaSport claims to be a luxury club built around community, yet at every turn they discourage exactly that by the way they treat their members. As my husband put it, we've never seen a place that bills itself as luxury have such poor customer service. At this point, the only things keeping us here are the pool -- which we don't have at home -- and the fact that it's around the corner from our house. Otherwise, we would have found a different facility long ago.
