The ambience was perfectly curated it was so warm once I walked in and he saw all the treats on display the lighting was perfect I had an amazing time and I can't wait to go back. The black sesame croffle was out of this world. It was incredibly light yet decadent, with rich toasted sesame flavors that were beautifully balanced.. Every bite was crisp, and absolutely unforgettable. The desserts here are worth every penny. You can taste the quality and care that goes into each of them! Came here for a late night dessert run and to get some work done. I got the injeolmi shaved ice with condensed milk on the side and absolutely loved it. I really liked how they included fruits inside the shaved ice as well since it added a refreshing flavor that balanced out the sweet milky ice. It's definitely really heavy though and something I'd recommend sharing with about 3-4 people. I also loved the ambience, with plenty of seating and the service was really attentive and nice. The only downside is the parking since they don't offer free parking and it's valet only. If you're lucky though, you can usually find metered or residential parking about a block away. I'd say that the stuff here is on the pricier side, but for the portion and quality, it balances out. I also love that this place closes so late. read more

I've been here a few times, and while the place itself is very clean and looks nice, the overall experience just isn't great. I tried the Mugwort Einspanner Latte, which was decent, not bad, but nothing memorable. The Pistachio Einspanner Latte was a bit too sweet and also didn't really stand out. So overall, drinks are below average. What bothered me the most, though, was the service. I had to order from the same person 3 times, and all times she came across as rude and completely uninterested. No greeting, no interaction she barely even spoke or look at the customer while taking the order. It just felt uncomfortable. So the most recent time I was there, while placing my order I even changed my mind and left. I really didn't want my day to be ruined by this experience. When I was leaving the server didn't even say bye, I mean, what else could be expected from this type of service. On top of that, the prices are higher than most other coffee spots in the area, and honestly, it doesn't feel justified. That might also explain why there's usually plenty of seating available. Overall, it's just not worth coming here. There are so many better places with stronger drinks and much friendlier service. read more

Not sure why they had a name change but it's the chic-styled cafe that opens late, making it a popular spot for students. It's often packed whenever I passed by in the evenings. You'll have to pay for valet parking in their shared parking lot or try to find meter around the streets, which can be a nightmare. I'm usually there Saturday mornings before valet arrives while my husband gets a haircut from the hair salon upstairs. So mostly empty when I'm there. I'm not sure if this is usually the case, but after ordering at the counter, they always bring my coffee to my table. Service has always been nice but I can't say I love the drinks. Came here pretty late and I love that they stay open really late. It's such a good spot for late night hangouts or even studying. Even around 1AM, the place was still busy with lots of customers, but there are plenty of seats inside so it didn't feel too cramped. Their drink menu is huge, which I liked because there are so many unique options to try. We did have to wait about 25 minutes, but it was pretty packed so it made sense. It is on the pricier side as we paid $54 total, but the drinks and desserts felt high quality and unique. I LOVED their Dubai Chewy Cookie. We got the original and strawberry, and both were so good. They put a generous amount of kanafeh, which gave it an amazing texture. For drinks, we ordered the Tiramisu Einspanner Caffe Latte, Sweet Potato Latte, and Black Sesame Einspanner Latte. The black sesame latte was SO good! Super nutty and rich. The sweet potato latte was also one of my favorites; it really tasted like sweet potato in the best way. I also liked that the drinks weren't overly sweet, which I personally prefer. The Tiramisu latte was just okay in my opinion, but not bad. I recently checked out SYNT (See You Next Time) in Koreatown and honestly, this place lives up to the hype. I started with their iced strawberry matcha and the BISCOFF matcha, both made with ceremonial grade matcha, and you can really taste the difference. The matcha is smooth, not bitter at all, and the flavors are well balanced without being overly sweet. The Biscoff one especially stood out, super unique and rich. I also tried the Oreo milkshake, which was thick, creamy, and exactly what you'd want from a good milkshake. Definitely a solid choice if you're craving something more indulgent. For snacks, I had the viral Dubai chewy balls, both the regular and strawberry versions. These were fun and different, chewy on the inside with a nice sweetness to them. I can see why they've been blowing up. To top it off, I got a shave ice with mixed fruits, which was super refreshing and perfect to balance everything else out. drinks are super sweet -- its alright. but that is NOT why I am writing. Waitress named "star" has been rude asf. The absolute worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. My friends and I (a group of 21-year-olds) always go out of our way to treat service workers with respect as we study at various cafes, but the waitress tonight was completely insufferable from the exact moment we walked through the door. Her tone was dripping with disrespect. When we asked for just a second to think and discuss the menu, she openly rolled her eyes at us because she had to repeat herself. Furthermore she forcefully takes the menu and slams her finger on it with annoyance when i simply ask where a specific item is. It gets worse: she then tried to force us to move away from our table just to prioritize another party in the middle of our stay. We gave some pushback because it was incredibly rude, but ultimately decided it wasn't that deep and reluctantly complied. Even then, she couldn't manage a shred of decency. She didn't ask nicely, offered no apology, and acted like we were just obligated to move for her. Absolutely disgusting and miserable behavior from a service worker. It's clear she completely hates her job and takes her misery out on the customers. If you can't handle basic human interaction, you shouldn't be working in hospitality. Management needs to retrain or replace her immediately. I made a yelp account just to post this. fire her. - As i am writing this. She has pissed off 3 other paying customers. Sad to say this but was I very disappointed today. I order from this cafe frequently and come by often but this worker enforced the worse policy and was rude to us. Today is Monday May 1st and around 10:15pm the gentleman working at the front, who I explained I wanted to use the restroom and then order the matcha drink I usually get told me I need to order first and then read the receipt for the restroom code. Instead of being human, instead of being normal or even a natural person towards me I simply had to use the restroom first before ordering. I spoke face to face with him and he dismissed me. So I proceeded to try and order something I wanted and he said I could not order a matcha without milk. Strange. You cannot order a drink without dairy. We asked for his name and he refused? Questioning us for what.. Because we are here asking to purchase drinks but to use the restroom first... how weird. I hope the ownership of this cafe will look into this thoroughly. When you come inside to order a drink, you can't even go to the restroom before you paid. they cannot make the same drinks you can customize on DoorDash, where there are tons of special request options. So if you want to go inside -- avoid it. Ordering for pickup or delivery is okay... The young noname worker was super funny but really unprofessional. The interior is probably my favorite part of this place! Very modern style and big windows. The matcha was amazing, but do make sure to mix well. I loved the first few sips but once I got to the bottom it was a bit too sweet because I did not mix the syrup in well :(. That was completely my fault though, the lavender matcha was really good! They have so many options for matcha lattes as well as coffee. They also offer milk teas and lemonades! I'm pretty sure they also serve breakfast, though I may be wrong on that. I really enjoyed the vibe of this place, and they have a varied display of desserts that looked sooo good. They have WiFi so long as you purchase something. What I will say is that it is quite expensive, and they do charge an extra $1.50 for alternative milks. That's the only complaint I really have! read more

I ordered three small items and everything cost $22 and was demolished in under five minutes. everything was too high priced and considering the price the flavour had nothing special to it. The girl working tonight had one of the worst attitudes I've ever experienced at a place like this. She was rude to customers, answering phone calls while talking to people in front of her, literally stopping in the middle of answering someone's question to pick up the phone and run away while they were still talking, and even knocking into people without saying sorry or excuse me. When we asked simple questions about how ordering worked, she rolled her eyes and acted annoyed the entire time. She asked if our order was to-go, and when we said we wanted to stay, she gave even more attitude like it was the end of the world. The matcha was actually really good, but it took about 20 minutes to come out, and the service completely ruined the experience. Nobody greeted us or said goodbye. Other customers were also noticing her behavior and whispering about how rude she was.
