    Ellen the owner still refuses to respond to my messages about followup cleaning. Her public response saying she'll resolve the issue is only for show. I've hired another cleaning service to redo her work. DO NOT USE THIS CLEANING SERVICE!

    Cabinet example - Spotless cleaning did not clean the cabinets as promised on their cleaning checklist.

    Short: This was the worst cleaning company we've ever hired. They did a terrible cleaning job and the owner Ellen was a nightmare to interact with. Long: We requested the $350 move-in deep cleaning which involved a checklist of everything they would do. Two cleaners came to our house for 3 hours to "clean". Their cleaning process was basically wiping a few things down with paper towels. They did not deep clean. Here were some of the biggest gripes: Floors - bottoms of our feet were black after less than an hour of walking around on the floors they had "cleaned". They also bucket mopped our hardwood floor and got it soaking wet which can damage it. A professional cleaner would know not to do this. Cabinets: They did not clean the cabinets which is on their checklist. They briefly vaccumed the inside of some of the cabinets when they were running out of time. However they were still full of crumbs and spills which took us a few hours to clean out ourselves. The bathroom medicine cabinets still had rings on the cabinet shelves from previous occupants' toiletries and the top of them was covered in a thick film of dust. Surface details: They didn't do more than one pass on surfaces that needed deeper cleaning. Some surfaces they skipped altogether. If there was any kind of mess that needed to be scrubbed off like crusted on food etc they left it intact. Many surfaces still had a thick black film of dust - all the window sills were still covered in thick filth, tops of things like the microwave and fridge untouched, bedroom closets/shelves still dusty. Some items on their checklist, like bleaching the dishwasher, they did not even attempt to do. I don't believe they cleaned the toilets as there was still blue residue from when the sellers put a cleaning pack in the toilet a few days prior. Mirrors / steel appliances - they didnt have the tools to clean these. They used paper towels and smeared grime around on these surfaces. General efficiency: one of the cleaners was on her phone for around half of the time I was observing her. As you can see they left our house a mess, and these are just the major complaints. Walking around the home after their cleaning I had a hard time pinpointing what they had accomplished. As bad of a cleaning job as they did, speaking with the owner Ellen was even worse. She argued in circles about why the team did not do a good job and tried to blame it on us in any way she could think of. I will not bore you with the nitty-gritty of our conversation but suffice to say we found the communication before, during, and after the cleaning very poor. The conversation with Ellen became so illogical that we gave up reasoning with her and decided to post this review instead. Edited to add: The response of the owner below contains various lies and bad excuses for why they did not do a good job. They hadn't told us they would stay until the job was done; in fact the cleaners told us several times they had a car coming to pick them up at 6. Once we complained the next day, Ellen asserted that it's our fault for letting them leave because they would have stayed til the job was done. We did NOT tell the cleaners we were happy with the job, as we discussed several times Ellen. So stop saying that. The lighting excuse is a twist of some words my husband said to her, and she knows that. The job was done in broad daylight. She is complaining about the pics we provided to show they did a bad job - we provided her with the pics I included in this review and more plus a detailed written list of what they missed. I didn't send her pics of furniture... laughably bad lie because we hadn't even moved our stuff in yet. As far as a walkthrough video, I didn't see them take one before or after, but I don't see what it has to do with the specific evidence we have provided. If the photos I provided look unclear to your staff, it's because they never touched those areas lol and that's the point. Yes they did offer to come back the next evening, but we had already spent more than 5 hours cleaning at that point and were almost done. Besides - after they did such a horrible job, why would we want them to come back and waste our time again? They clearly do not know what clean is. We've already discussed these points and more with Ellen and she persists in holding her inaccurate viewpoints even though she was not there. Ellen's response to my review is in fact the perfect example of the kind of nonsense you will get when working with this team.

I texted Smith Bro's for a quote and sent pictures. They were honest with me about the fabric & how it may be difficult to get it fully white again. I appreciated that honesty. Once we set up an appointment, they tested a spot on my couch, first, to see if it would be worth my time & money. Again, they were honest that it might not come out to be as white as I would like. But I decided to give it a go & Jeremy (I'm pretty sure that was his name) worked diligently for 4 hours to try to get it as clean as he could. He did an amazing job! It looked SO much better once he was finished. Of course, they were right. My couch isn't bleach white anymore. But they were able to get many stains out & make it look so much more presentable. I'm thankful for the honesty & effort put into cleaning our beautiful couch. I will be using Smith Bro's in the future. Our couch is a large sectional & they charged $275 to have it cleaned & an additional $150 for the scotch guard product they use (only it's better than scotch guard). After receiving quotes from other companies, I felt this was a fair price as well. Highly recommend!
