Lairs! We bought a used truck from them and they showed us a clean car fax. When we called our insurance we we're informed that the vehicle had been in an accident! At first we thought that the insurance agent was wrong. We called the dealership to find out the still told us that no it had not been in an accident. When we went to trade it in, Low and behold it was in an accident! the New car fax showed that it was on file shortly after we bought it. Now we are trying to get our GAP refund and for 10 days now one returned our calls! Finally I called the general manager and started to get calls, but they only file GAP cancellations once a month and they called they day after the cancellation time was past! I would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy! BTW! Hendrick autogroup had to payout over 4 million dollars in lawsuits in 2009! They still haven't learned or have a "sucker born every minute" attitude! Buyer beware!!! read more

Yet another bait and switch experience with Brittany. She gave us a written quote for a brand new RDX. Specific car, color etc. We made an appointment, drove over an hour to get there and she was "too busy" to see us. Another salesperson showed us the car and we spent 2 hours going over it with a fine tooth comb and test driving. When we went to sign the paperwork they tried to bury $3,000.00 of additional charges. After going back to the manager 3 times we were finally told that this particular car had a special paint treatment and security system so if we wanted it it would be $3,000 more. If not they would have to get another car out of the storage lot. We did not fall for this obvious bait and switch tactic and ended up having to wait over 2 HOURS while they retrieved, cleaned and detailed this other vehicle. They were not remorseful and did not really apologize for their "mistake". I almost walked out numerous times but we had already wasted a whole day so we went ahead. What an experience. So on Friday my Girlfriend and I went in to look for a car for her and she was looking for the Acura ILX. We have been to a few places looking for this car. We seen a few but we kept looking. So we got there looked around and we like a white one and black one. At this time no one had help us yet. Until the general manager came out and got us Ron. I told him crow was not in my diet lol and I usually don't go back but he was very apologetic and did present a great deal. I will add 1 thing... when they make a deal over the phone make sure that deal is not contingent on borrowing $$ from Acura. (Unless you want to) We did have a wrinkle in that but ironed it all out!! Your revieOn April 2nd, 2016 my 2010 Acura TL was stolen from Acura of Riverside located at 8101 Auto Drive, Riverside, CA. 92504. On the morning of April 2nd, I brought my vehicle to this Acura location for maintenance on my vehicle. I knew that it would take time to proceed with the maintenance on my vehicle; however, I wanted to wait for it. While I was in the waiting room, a service member advised me that my spark plugs had been replaced and that they were waiting on the Navigation system to be updated. I ask the gentleman, I could drive my car while the Navigation was being updated. He said that I could; however, that it would take even longer if I drove the car off and recommended that I should sit and wait for the car because it would update faster. So I decided to wait for my car. My car was running, in their back service area with the keys still inside and as I learned later, no one was watching or attending to my vehicle. Approximately 20 minutes later, the Service Director asked if he could speak to me for a moment, so of course I'm think oh no something major is wrong with my car and I don't have the money for that today. Unbeknownst to me, the Service Director sat me down, he looked really shaken up. He looked at me and starts spurting out words and says that they had been looking for my car for about 15 minutes and it's gone. I had to sit and look at him for a minute in complete silence and then finally the words that came out of mouth was "Are you telling me that my car was stolen?" and he said "yes". I said "are you completely sure? Maybe a salesperson took it for a ride with a customer thinking that it was for sale?" Basically my car was gone. At that point the Service Director called the police and the Riverside Police arrived about approximately 30 minutes later. The Fixed Operations Director showed up to go through video footage to see if they caught anything on camera, which they claim to not have gotten anything on camera. Even the officer on duty was shocked that someone would come to a dealership on a Saturday morning, walk into the back of the service department and steal a car that service work was being performed on it. Finally around 12 noon, the dealership gives me a car to go home with but it is in no way comparable to my 2010 TL. It was a new loaner car; however, it was shaking a lot, just not the performance I am used to with an Acura Vehicle. I immediately went home and filed with a claim with my insurance and found an attorney who was actually willing to assist me. On Monday, April 4th, I took the loaner car back to the dealership and obtained a rental car using my own car insurance. It took the loaner car back because 1) I didn't want the dealership to feel that it was okay to just give me any car. They should have immediately offered me something comparable to mine and they didn't, 2) I didn't want anything happening to this loaner car while it was in my possession. Some people said I should have kept the car, but something just wasn't right about the situation. I sat down and spoke with the Fixed Operations Director for a while and asked him how long is the back gate open during business hours? He said that it is open pretty much during the day, approximately 8 hours. So I said, so there is not security back there while the gate is open, anything can just come in and out, and he stated well it won't be anymore, they are probably going to place a key pad or something on the gate. I also told him that maybe you need to place some policies and procedures in place for unmanned running vehicles, like maybe have a designated person there to watch the vehicles. It may not stop a thief but at least you would have a witness that can ID a criminal. I then asked the Operations Director, if they had filed a claim with their insurance company, he stated no and that all of their VP's know what happened though. I said don't you think you should file a claim and when you do, can you please give me the claim number so that I can have a record of it. Also I think you should investigate every single employee that you have here, because I'm not trying to point finger but it could be an inside job. Later, I contacted Corporate Acura Client Relations and placed a complaint with them and was given a case number; however, the gentleman that I spoke with on the phone stated that there wasn't much that Corporate Acura, could do. I asked him why not, because my car was stolen from a dealership with their company's name attached to it. I client relations agent stated that dealerships are like franchises and when something happens at a dealership, corporate usually doesn't get involved but he did note my compliant and gave me a Case number. As my Insurance Claim Agent, attempted to get information from this dealership, they became harder and harder to deal with. They didn't want to give me claim agent any information. UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT The old reviews were probably reviewing the OLD franchisee of Acura (McPhillips), which went bankrupt Feb 2010. The dealership is now owned by Henrick Group, which is a huge sponsor of auto racing, think PENSKE. The location was hard to find, since they moved to a new location from the old location. Couple wrong turns I was there. After reading the previous reviews, i was a little leery in going all the way to Riverside to buy a car, which was roughly 75 miles straight east on the 91 for me, however, unfortunately, they were the only dealer within a 150 mile radius that had a manual car that i wanted. Apparently, according to another dealer i spoke with earlier today, no one but me drives or wants to buy anything that was stick that was not a base model civic. But i digress... I got there at 8, and i told my friend that came with me, and also the sales lady, that they had one hour to finish to deal. I knew the specific VIN that i wanted, since they only had one of that colour in their inventory. I had them start the deal immediately. 8:01pm Debbie the sales lady was extremely helpful and queued up the paperwork early rather than constantly retrieving them from the "pit" credit form, option package sheet, trade in appraisal form etc. (those of you that have gone to a dealer before knows the time drain that this process can be.). I immediately told the dealer the price I will not budge from, the money factor and residual that I required, and the specific car that I wanted. 8:15pm The finance guy in the "pit" was equally good and did quickly did the credit check and the trade payoff call to LR Financial. They did it so quickly that I didn't realize that they did it 8:20pm Went to the back with Debbie and I had some questions about the car, and also the Tech package that I wanted. She was very patient and show me the diff between the cars with and without that option. 8:45pm Realized that my phone with my trusty lease calculator was left in one of the cars I sat In, while I was in the put discussing the deal. I panic and my friend finally found it in a car 9:00pm, 1 hour mark , I was now sitting in the finance manager's office signing the paper, and surprisingly he did NOT try to upsell me in buying crap I didn't need for the car, like paint protection, tire protection, rust, tinting, global apocalypse, protection. Very up and up, and definitely a relaxed atmosphere in the office. 9:20pm Waiting outside for car to be prepped, Debbie brings out a plastic bag, which I decline since I didn't need it to clean out my old car. I thought this was a very nice touch that she thought of bringing it out to me, even though I didn't ask for it.. Classy 9:40pm Car delivered, Debbie wanted to show me how to use the car, I declined again since men don't need no stinking direction. All in all , from time I shut down my old car to starting my new car pulling out from the lot, 1 hour 40 minutes, which I think might be a record. My buddy bought a car the same day in close to 5 hours. I dealt with three people in the dealership, Debbie the sales woman, finance guy in the pit, finance manager in the office. All of them were professional, quick to respond to my questions, and executed the contracts and obligations extremely efficiently. I really like the idea of going to a dealer right at closing, since they have incentive to close a deal and go home to their families. Dont try to go to any dealership at 9 in the morning. Spreen Acura was recommended through my insurance car buying service. At first, I wasn't interested simply because I didn't want to drive to Riverside to shop. Chris Rushing emailed me to see if he could help me select a new Acura. I responded that my lease was about to expire and I was interested in a RDX with tech. I also told him that I didn't want to drive to Riverside. Within minutes he responded with the price, monthly payments and that they would deliver. Then I figured that I wouldn't really have a choice of colors - but I was wrong - almost all colors were available and he took photos of all and sent them to me. I had a few other questions, and Chris answered quickly - even on his day off! We set up a day for delivery - my choice. Daniel Garcia contacted me to let me know what time he would have my new car to me. Shortly after Daniel left the dealership, Chris called to tell me that they forgot to install the cargo cover - I figured that he'd then tell me that they would send it UPS, but he told me that he's sent another driver with the cargo cover. This is my 4th Acura - the other 3 were from another dealership - who I did contact earlier about a new car - and they couldn't be bothered to answer questions, etc. I love my new car, but even more - the service that I received from Spreen and Chris was amazing - the easiest and quickest auto transaction - ever! I brought my car for service and I bought the car CPO from that dealership and I found out the warranty expired in less than 3 years and the manager said it was I. The print out we gave you so I guess the certification of any car they sell doesn't start from the day you bought it it start from the last service the preformed on the car?!!! So even I didn't own the car the warranty still kick in!? So you are buying a car with the assumption that warranty start from when you buy it....WRONG so pretty much I got cheated and they are worse than a bank in that term it's in the fine print!!! The manager Ameen I think his name last name sadik was very cold didn't listen or have any compassion towards my concern, definitely do not buy or have any service done with that dealership they are a rip off and stay away from the CPO program because it's not true and you don't have the piece of mind they claim, it's a shame that dealership ruined the Acura brand for me. Ron Andrews is the absolute best salesman I have EVER done business with. I did not even have to walk the lot to choose a car. I completed an online inquiry on a new TLX, he responded promptly answering all my questions and concerns. Once I completed a credit check, he worked out payment options based off of what I was looking for i.e, color, style, etc. Via our communications through email and text. Once I arrived, he had thee MOST perfect vehicle selected and parked along the side waiting for me to test drive. He not only nailed down my wants and needs on a new vehicle, but he patiently walked me through my options every step of the way. In no way, shape or form did he ever come across as pushy or a saleman shark (like everyone I've ever dealt with in the past has). Do not buy a black Acura from Acura of Riverside. I bought a brand new 2012 Acura TSX Sports Wagon from them in December 2012. It was cloudy and rainy for the first two weeks I owned the car so I never got to see car in the bright So Cal sunshine. The first time I saw it I was shocked to see the clear coat was completely ruined with spider webbing (circular cracks and scratches in the clear coat finishes)! I immediately brought it to the dealership's attention. They admit that their cars, especially slower selling models/colors sit exposed to the bright sunshine and the elements near the insanely busy 91 freeway and get rinsed off once in a while. They said their detailers could fix it. Left it 2x with them. They made it worse each time! Finally took it to a restoration expert. Said it would cost $1k to fix properly. Told dealer about the estimate. Was told they would review and get back. Several months later and no word from dealer, I finally took it down and said they needed to do something once and for all. They decided to send it to their paint and body shop. I agreed. Got it back and it is even worse than before. Told they would do nothing else. Got corporate involved. Can't restore the clear coat, needs a new paint job. But new paint job won't look anywhere as good as a new factory paint job. Screwed!! Asked dealer to buy back car for what I owed (well less than retail value). They offered me below wholesale. Thanks for ruining the paint on my new Acura and refusing to fix your mistake!!! The only factor that earns the place one star is its awesome salesman Eli who was very nice and extremely helpful. Was helping my parents look around as they are in the market for a new vehicle. Mom caught her eye on an MDX and an RDX so we walked into the sales office. There was an issue with the dealer price listed on the RDX sticker outside which made it seem like we were getting a discount on top of the sticker price outside on the RDX but not the MDX. Explained that to the salesman and he brought the sales manager. This "manager" was by far one of the rudest people I have ever had to deal with. Failed to greet both of my parents or even say hello and I was the one who had to extend my hand out to him to say hello. He then began explaining extremely condescending to us what MSRP was and how the market works as if I don't hold a degree in Finance and brought out a list of similar vehicles priced in the region showing that theirs was the "best". Explained to him the discrepancy in the prices which he understood but said that price was that price. I told him that was fine but the figure my parents were able to pay was about 2,500 lower than the price he had brought out which had been the exact same price we saw on the sticker and any one who has bought a car before knows it can be brought down a bit. He then proceeded to say that we shouldn't even be looking at that car and flipped the paper with the MDX specs. He then said that most of his clients come from LA and OC which is why their prices are so low and that those customers don't haggle and that he deals very little with Riverside Customers essentially saying riverside customers are less valuable than OC or LA customers. He didn't even bother getting our information and simply walked away. I deal with clients on a daily basis and even if I know the deal won't be able to close, I never belittle them and thank them for their time and get their info, not just walk away. Completely and utterly disappointed in their service. Their service is probably what sends Riverside customers to OC and LA. read more
