We were from out of town and ate at this restaurant Friday, August 29. While we were there, our car was broken into and all of our luggage medication toiletries, electronics, etc. were stolen. There were people eating outside and I feel like someone had to see it. They need to have security in the parking lot. My son reached out to me management and informed them. I went to a weekend brunch with a couple of friends and we were able to sit outside. We split a plate of fried green tomatoes, which were delicious! I had the grilled red grouper tacos (you can also get it fried) with a side of fries. The tacos were good but wouldn't say they were special or blew me away. My friends had the chicken sandwiches and stated they were good. Someone else had the omelette and felt it was on the bland side. Overall, it was a cute cafe and I liked the outdoor seating area. Well we got off to a rocky start. Our server (blonde woman forgot her name) sat us then after 20 mins she reappears to take drink order and NEVER showed again. Love this place! Local. Social. Inviting. I've been 2x in past 2 weeks for lunch. I'm now obsessed with fried grouper sandwich. My friends loved the veggie burger and turkey bacon club. Service is always personal and attentive. Beer on tap selections - great. Spicy Bloody Mary - yum but next time I need more spice. Date night! I got off work early and hubby and I got to the restaurant when they opened. We've been here twice before and know they have " Whiskey Wednesdays." They had 5 different whiskeys to choose from. Whiskey on Wednesday is only $5 here! Our waiter Oriel was very attentive and helped us with our food and beverage selections. All jokes aside if you are a connoisseur for Whisky and Bourbon this is your place, they have over 500 selections. Ask for Keon! We had an early reservation for our first visit to Sprig and it was very busy (Mother's Day). Two of the four of us have Celiac Disease and eat gluten free. Our server was very knowledgeable about gluten and the menu and promised to make a note of the issue with our order. We started with the Brussels sprouts small plate - very tasty and a large portion. We ordered the quinoa salad, shrimp tacos, fried chicken, and shrimp and grits and we were all happy with our meals. They were served quickly and our server was friendly. My husband noted the really great bourbon selection so this might be a great place to return for cocktails. We wished we had a water refill or a check-in mid-meal but it was busy so I'm giving the benefit of the doubt and saying it was a great trip and we will be back again! read more

I have only been here for brunch. Everything I've had here is delicious. The baked french toast is sooo good. Their fried green tomatoes are some of the best I've had. I wish they had more "meatless"options - chicken/turkey/veggie sausage. The staff is really on the ball. They are friendly and accommodating. It's one reason I like coming here. Service and ambiance are good. If you are dining with someone who is gluten free, this is a great place because they have a lot of options. My friend I go here with has celiac and can safety eat here. I'm happy to go because eating out can be difficult for anyone with celiac. But overall, I'm not particularly impressed by the food. Considering the vibes, how the restaurant is decorated, and the prices, I would expect more from the food. It's fine! But I was expecting more than, "eh, it's fine." If you are dining with someone who is gluten free, I say go check this place out! It probably won't be a favorite for anyone who doesn't have dietary restrictions. One of my favorite Atlanta restaurants. Glad I got to come by during my ATL visit last week. Had the Bone-In Pork Chop with comes with broccoli, sweet potato mash, and a honey Gochujang glaze (no clue what that is but it was good). They have one of the largest Bourbon bars in ATL. I had the Blood Oath Pact 4 Bourbon as a wonderful desert to a wonderful meal. Jennifer (one of the owners) came by and made sure my expectations were being surpassed. I miss going here more frequently since I moved to Florida but I will certainly come back next time I am in Atlanta. read more

The best thing about this Sprigs, is the little park just next door, although the outdoor seating is also great, if it's not too hot, as it was today. Noise level is high enough to damage hearing. I suggest putting felt on the undersides of tables to help with this. I won't come back if I can't be outside. Service was friendly, we asked for separate checks no problem, although one of our party's order got messed up -- perhaps because of the noise. When we asked for our bill, and mentioned the separate checks, and that we'd already mentioned that to our server, another server or manager?, who was obviously stressed, replied, I would have no idea about that. Probably you need more servers and better pay! Food was ok. The tortillas fell apart (use two?). The deal breaker for me coming back was the noise level. read more

it's a very cute restaurant. Excellent, and I mean excellent service. It's very well decorated and there's some areas outside to sit as well. There is a huge parking lot as it's located in a shopping center. their food is basic American food for the most part with salads and sandwiches. We didn't get any alcohol and I was trying to be healthy so I did get a salad which was mediocre. it was good, it wasn't great. I did get a side of biscuit which is really good. Overall this place is pretty average for my taste aside from the service which is stellar. Again, we didn't get any drinks and they do have a lot of healthy options. Maybe I picked the wrong thing. The biscuit was delicious and the salad wasn't bad but it was very average- maybe it was the dressing. I didn't end up finishing it. I would definitely come back to try it again. Love love love this place! I haven't been in ages since I moved from the area. A friend was in town so I suggested the place because it's so cute and if I'm not mistaken, they are farm to table. We started off with the bottomless mimosas, which are a reasonable $17. YAY! They have 3 flavors - grapefruit, orange, and cranberry; all 3 are equally good!! To start the brunch off right I ordered a round of biscuits. They came out in about 10 minutes and were fresh, hot, and had that homemade jelly I like. Next was the collard green queso with fresh pork rinds. First off the mixture of greens, cheese, and bacon was just genius (and wonderful). I haven't had skins in some time so to use these in place of chips was soooo good! We shared more goodies such as the seafood fritto. It was very good, but I've been watching my fried food so I didn't eat a lot. I liked the sweet tanginess of the chili sauce. Lastly, we shared the sprig breakfast. It was just as good as I remember from the old days. Rachel, our server, was so attentive and wonderful! We had a fantastic time and I'm glad my out of state friend got to try a GREAT restaurant! This was just okay. I wouldn't see us returning. We ordered quite a bit and all agreed that everything was very mediocre: Fritto Misto Smoked trout Fried chicken World famous burger Carbonara We were told the carbonara was one of the best items on the menu but I actually found it incredibly disappointing and I think one of the worst carbonara pastas I've personally had. What can I say? This is a hidden gem type place. While visiting from Memphis I was taken here by a local couple who say they are regulars. Now I see why they are. The ambiance was nice , staff was pleasant and attentive anf the food was delicious. We actually ate here twice during our week long visit. During my first visit I had the wings with chipotle ranch dressing. Full of flavor and tasty. My second visit I got the classic spig burger and my daughter opted for the baked blueberry French toast. Everything is cooked to order. My burger was scrumptious and the fries were good. My daughter stated her French toast was delicious so delicious she ordered it on both visits lol. I'm looking forward to coming here again, since my daughter will be moving down in the fall to attend Emory, go eagles!! read more

To start, this review is based off of the brunch...so, with that being said, $12 BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS. Need I say more?! In addition to this fantastic price for really tasty and decently sized mimosas from 12:30pm - 3:00pm on Sat and Sun, Sprig offered a wide variety of reasons to love this little place. Sprig sits at the end of a little shopping center on La Vista Road alongside a Dollar Tree and Anytime Fitness. Don't be fooled and judge this place by its location, you will certainly regret it! They have a great open concepts interior and a nice, relaxing but small patio - it is not covered, but boasts an umbrella for each table. Directly next to the restaurant and shopping center is a little park that you can enjoy on date night, with the kids or with the doggos. The food, let me tell you about this food! As mentioned above, we were there for Sunday afternoon brunch. We started our meal with the fried grit sticks that were sided with a Cajun tomato gravy. They were cooked perfectly - crispy on the outside, not too much breading with a steamy and creamy interior consistency for the grits, and the tomato gravy, which may sound odd, was the perfect dipping sauce for these things. For our meals, we had a few folks get the Sprig Breakfast, which gives you the classic two eggs, meat, grit/home fries and biscuit meal. We also had the French toast, which turned out to be not only filling, but heavenly! Lastly, I ended up with the Mexican Poutine - which was crispy home fries topped with black beans, over easy eggs, pico and avocado...and yes, it was as delicious as it sounds! Overall, Sprig was a pleasant surprise located in an unassuming shopping center in a not-so-happening part of Decatur. It is most certainly worth a try and I can guarantee we will be back for not only brunch, but for dinner! read more

We had a party of 8 and they put us in this nice corner table in the back which felt kinda private. OYSTER PO' BOY - $14 If I see oyster po' boys on the menu, I almost always get it. So glad I did at Sprig too -- loved the breading, the French bread, the Remoulade sauce ... so tasty, very filling too! Also comes w/ a side and since I was also eyeing the House Salad as my entree, I paid an extra $3 to make it a side salad instead. That was one of the best salads I'd ever had -- with greens, toasted pecans, golden raisins, goat cheese and white balsamic vinaigrette. It was a battle between my po' boy and salad on which one I loved best. Final score? Tie. Overall, great option for brunch esp. if you have a large party. Everyone loved their food -- I heard the coffee was great too. The Eggs Benedict, Shrimp & Grits and Classic Burger looked very good. Service was great. This is a great place for southern comfort cooking with some flair. The meatloaf is my favorite with the CAB Burger a close second. It's the bacon jam that gets me every time.
