There are 4 cottages all with the same layout. Each cottage has a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite with a fireplace, full kitchen complete with a gas range. In the center of each, there is a one bedroom suite with a room exclusively for the hottub and a small kitchen. It is rented as either a two bedroom (either end of the cottage), three bedroom (an end and the center one bedroom), five bedroom (the entire cottage). It is a timeshare. It can be rented out. We have stayed there at least five times. It is peaceful there even with the construction going on. They recently renovated to make more modern.

But then to get woken up at 7:30am with loud banging literally right next door was frustrating. I think it's great your trying to imprOve and expand but then be honest with me and I would have waited to spend my $577 when the construction was over. My friend works construction everyday and took today (Monday) off of work to get away and relax with me and we dealt with it the whole time. Also I think it's pretty unsanitary to have the breakfast food literally NEXT to rooms that are being worked on. I could see dust coming from a room very close to wear all the fruit and other food was laying out.

As I read through the reviews it's clear that people are leaving reviews for other locations / places they thought were the VUE. This hotel is perfectly located for adults, slightly off the beaten path with an amazing view! They have a restaurant and Starbucks in the hotel and partnering restaurants 10 minutes away. We checked in for two nights and honestly had a good time. There's a pool, sauna and hot tub that overlook the water which was perfect for watching it snow. Our rooms were nice, bed super comfortable. The only thing I would say is one of the rooms next to us had a loud shower and we heard it every time it started, but it would go away pretty quickly. I would stay again, this is not our go to- but the rating on Yelp is far from correct.

Staying here gives you access to the other Natura properties, but we didn't want to get in the car and pay for parking at each location. There is a restaurant/bar on site, which we also didn't go to, you can get room service delivered until 10 pm, when the restaurant closes. The hotel is pretty average, bordering on motel, in terms of condition. There are some updates needed in the guest rooms, like better lighting, removing the asbestos popcorn ceiling, enlarging the bathroom so there is room to put a sink in the actual bathroom, and including a TV service that actually shows you what is on the channels (or with the ability to cast streaming services from your devices). The shower pressure needs to be greatly improved; the shower head should be adjustable, and the height seems to be built for someone who is 8' tall. The room's mini fridge icebox had layers of ice that had formed, and the microwave was kind of gross. I would personally like to see both replaced with newer models. We stayed in a room that had a balcony overlooking the river, which would have been nice if the balcony had been welcoming at all with comfortable chairs and not blowing hot air at you from the window AC unit. The pool/whirlpool/sauna room is odd. They must have photoshopped the images on the website, because it's not bright at all. It's very dark inside like a dimly lit lodge, which gave it a creepy vibe. I couldn't tell if the pool was heated, because overall it was pretty hot during our stay. The whirlpool was pretty nicely sized and seemed to be maintained well. There is only 1 elevator to accommodate 5 floors, so that wait can be long depending on the time of day. The wristlet with room key must be worn at all times while on the property and is uncomfortable and must be cut off for removal. If you lose it, they charge you $25 to replace it. The staff also repeatedly referred to anyone not wearing a wristlet as "trespassers," which was just creepy. Overall, there seemed to be so many rules on what to do/what not to do; it was overwhelming. But it was fine for a 2-night stay with a young kid who really was just happy to have a pool.

I've already processed your credit card payment so I'll just cancel the room and she hung up the phone on me So I decided to go I drove 15 miles an hour top speed. It took us forever to get there. The place reeked of marijuana. There was garbage in the garbage can in our room. It's like it was never cleaned. These people are very rude. I am a local and I know the owner. His name is Scott when I called and I said can I please speak to Scott I was told he's busy and he's going to tell you the same thing that I'm going to tell you so you can just go through me. It's like Nazi Germany at this place stay away from these people go to Birchcliff. It's so much nicer and it's just right down the road if you really wanna go out of town go to Angel HideaAway . This place delivered!! My best friend and I called this place on a roadtrip because we found it on google and thought it was worth a shot and Chris the owner answered and was so kind and thoughtful that we detoured and stopped to meet him there in the middle of winter. We chose this place because of him and the fabulous, well kept property. We talked with Chris and his wife several times prior to our August wedding and they were patient with our planning process and able to accommodate all of our requests. Eventually found the slides but still, quite rude and unfair. Waterslides were very fun though! Loved going down them, especially the hurricane/funnel one. Not a lot of seating though, and very bad security or service. We had towels stolen and I even caught a family trying to steal me and my friends towels and phones while we were swimming, thankfully my stomach hurt so I caught them and nothing major was taken. Annoying and scary honestly.

Both the hotel and the waterpark were consistently clean throughout our stay. For a high traffic family resort this was impressive and much appreciated. The wave pool and dedicated toddler area were a huge hit. Our little dude had a blast and it was great to have a safe, age appropriate space for him to explore. The lodge is due for some updates, specifically the waterpark equipment - the water jet skis in the toddler area were all broken and material was visibly chipping. While my toddler didn't notice the cosmetic wear, as a parent it is a little worrisome. I'd say visiting in the winter was the perfect way to beat the cold, though it did limit us to indoor sections. We're definitely curious to return when it's warmer to see how the outdoor area fairs. Overall a great choice for families with toddlers, but hopefully, management will invest in some much needed repairs to the play features soon!

The location is a big plus. It's centrally situated near a lot of shopping and dining options outside of the main Dells strip, including the Outlets, which makes it easy to venture out. Parking is also very convenient, with ample space and multiple entrances into the hotel. That said, this is probably my least favorite Great Wolf Lodge so far. The reception area feels small and a bit underwhelming, and the indoor waterpark itself feels more compact and awkwardly laid out compared to other locations. It seems like the property prioritizes fitting in as many rooms and condo-style units as possible rather than dedicating more space to the waterpark and shared amenities. The outdoor waterpark and pool area are actually quite nice, but they're only enjoyable when the weather cooperates since the pools aren't heated. The indoor waterpark itself left a lot to be desired in terms of upkeep. The water often looked murky rather than clean and inviting, and many of the play structures showed noticeable rust, which made the space feel more worn than it should. There were also areas where water pooled on the ground instead of draining properly, creating an awkward and slightly unpleasant walking experience. The kid-friendly hot tub was another letdown--it was barely warm, more like bathwater for a baby than anything resembling a "hot" tub, which took away from what should have been a relaxing feature. As for the room, it really didn't feel worth the listed price unless you're getting a significant discount through something like Groupon or a promo on their website. I stayed in a Family Fireplace Suite with a balcony/patio, but being on the first floor meant the "patio" was basically a tiny concrete slab that opened right into the parking lot, so we didn't use it at all. The room itself was spacious, but it felt worn and clearly built to withstand heavy family use. The bathroom in particular could use a serious update, and the shower had very poor water pressure. At check-in, we were charged $100 for incidentals plus a parking fee, and as of now, the incidental hold still hasn't been refunded after checkout, which is frustrating. Overall, while the location and convenience are solid, this particular Great Wolf Lodge falls short in value and layout compared to others. If we come back to the Dells, we would likely try a neighboring waterpark resort like Kalahari instead.

When we first arrived, the receptionist did not explain well where our room was located, so we ended up wandering around cluelessly with a large cart of stuff. I finally had to inquire at the front desk again. I like that you can access the Waterpark from anywhere in the resort. Being winter and snowing, it was good that we could walk indoors. I'm glad they have areas for toddlers and the "lazy/ active" river is a good choice. The rooms seem a bit outdated and definitely nothing fancy, but we still enjoyed our stay. I think I'd be happy to return. My kids enjoyed it just as much as GWL and I enjoyed being able to drink and eat "for free."
