So imagine my surprise when I discovered this place, new and part of a strip center. I saw the reviews and decided to try it. I had the 2-meat platter with pulled pork & smoked turkey breast, wife had hot links and sliced brisket. All were good. As a Texan, I'm almost embarrassed to admit I prefer pulled pork over brisket, but both were really good. Hot links were actually spicy. I was surprised. Turkey was really good as well. Not a bad side with our order either. Beans, Cole slaw, Green Beans and Broccoli & Cheese Casserole. All, very good. Wife had the banana pudding and demolished it before I had a chance to try a spoonful. Staff is nice and friendly. Really enjoyed it and will be back.

I dont like pouring sauce on meat after the fact...I prefer it baked and baked in. But...I told them id take their spicy BBQ sauce on the side. So...once I got home, I tore into the potato. It was HUGE so I cut it in half. The meat did not have sauce baked and baked in, but it was good. Really good. And then I went crazy. I tasted the spicy BBQ sauce. Very good. And went crazier and poured it over the brisket, sausage, and baked potato. There was a lot of food on the plate, so I saved half for leftovers. After hearing I was from out of town, and seeing I had brisket and ribs on my plate, the guy taking my payment said I should try the sausage, so he gave me a plate of sausage on the house. Great service! Then when I was leaving, I said another thank you, and a young lady asked me if I wanted a tour of the smokers and kitchen! So cool! She, Kamy, turned out to be one of the owners. Had a great tour, met the pit boss, and when I told her how much I enjoyed the ribs, she said they make their own rub, and would I like a sample to take home? Of course I said yes, thinking she'd give me a little sample, but she brought out a big ziplock bag ... probably 2 lbs of rub. Amazing! Unlike other restaurants, theirs is only complimentary with a kid's meal. Otherwise, it was 50 cents. Since many diners may not carry change, there should be an option to pay at the register.
