I was referred to Spring Works for an alignment from America Tire Co. and was given a coupon. The service was spectacular. From making the appointment over the phone to the overview of the service after my car was finished--- excellent customer service. The waiting room has laptops, a nice area for kids to color, good magazines, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and water for the customers to enjoy. The bathroom was clean, the employees were friendly and knowledgeable. Overall a wonderful experience! read more

Had my tires aligned and they did a number of other checks. Very comfortable waiting area, best one I've ever been in. Staff went over what they did afterwards with me. Very friendly staff, excellent work that didn't take all day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Don't go anywhere else. read more

I took my car to Spring Works for a wheel alignment on the advice of the Costco tire shop in RP because they only charge $49 where other shops are $89-$99. I was impressed by the waiting area - flat screen tv, computers, comfy seats, hot coffee, fresh fruit and other snacks. And the bathroom has a duel flush toilet (euro cool!). However, the technician came back with a total estimate of $877.13 saying I needed a tie rod (before they could align the wheels) and breaks. I walked out, took my car to a shop in Petaluma who charges $89. But when I went to pick up my car they knocked off $10 because they said my wheels hardly needed adjustment. Update: The owner of Springs Works called me and explained that they were a more through shop and found work that my car legitimately needed. Since I don't know anything about car mechanics I can't dispute what he said. I'll take my car to a third shop and see if they come up with the same list of work needed. In the meanwhile I've given them one more star for being proactive here. read more

I went to this place because of the feedback here on Yelp. I don't know if these people were paid to post a positive review or what. Yes they have water, laptops, etc., now I know how they bought that stuff. I brought my vehicle to them after getting a discounted coupon from America Tires. Boy I thought I was getting a deal with a break on an alignment. HUH They came in and told me they could NOT align my vehicle without $1,300 worth of work. I was very upset because I just had to put $1,200 into the transmission in a car that is probably not worth $1,500 but what was I going to do. I don't have the money to buy another car and if I didn't fix up this one it would be worthless. So I started to get tears in my eyes and told him I could not afford that. He went back to his computer and came up with a quote for $1,000. I left not knowing what to do. A friend of mine also had new tires put on his car from America Tires (my recommendation) and he got a Springworks coupon for an alignment. He took his car for an alignment and he also had around $850 work of work to do because they COULD NOT conduct an alignment without the work being done. We both took our vehicles to another company (see my other reviews) and for $195.00 both vehicles are aligned and on the road. Really!!!! I feel taken advantage of and angry towards the way you tried to take advantage of your customers. You can take your tea and your fresh fruit and you know what you can do with it! read more

Went to Spring Works to get an alignment without knowing much about it , I had been to four other places before them but everyone seemed to be booked for a week or more . When I walked in I was thoroughly impressed with the waiting area , it was clean and comfortable with flat screen tv and laptops for customers to surf the web while you wait ! That was a first for me . I was greeted politely and asked how soon I could get an alignment and how much it would cost . They said I could get in the next day and it would be $64.00 . Now that was $25.00 cheaper and way sooner then anybody else in the area so I went ahead with it . When I dropped off the vehicle again they were very polite I went shopping in the area for an hour or so and when I returned they told me that I needed a new tie rod end , a ball joint , and rack and pinion bushing . At this point I started to think " ok this is how they get you " and I expected them to start telling me how much it's gonna cost and they would have to do ect. But to my surprise all he said was " doing an alignment before dealing with these issues will be a waste of time and money and I know you work on your own vehicle so why don't you fix these things and bring it back , there's no charge for today ". This was not what I expected so I thankfully agreed and proceeded to repair the problems . After replacing these parts my alignment became even worse which was expected but now I needed an alignment ASAP as it was affecting drive ability so I made a call to spring works and explained the situation . I was told they were booked for over a week but if I dropped the truck off the next morning and left it they would try to fit it in and sure enough that's exactly what they did ! Now what really impressed me about Spring Works the most was when I picked up my truck and asked the total they said " $64.00 "! I almost passed out , I can't remember a time I had any service work done where you actually pay what you were quoted . So to make a long story longer , they got a customer for life . Let's just say there is a reason they only charge $49.99 (with the coupon from America's tire company which used to be a good place to go for tires but not these days). They have a very clean looking place but that is not what is important. They completely messed up my alignment and I paid the price for it since I didn't notice my tires were not wearing properly until the warranty from springworks was just past it's use. My car is NOT lowered or altered. It's completely stock. This was just a simple alignment on a 1 owner car that has never been in an accident. After the 4-wheel alignment, ALL FOUR tires were wearing on the inside, so it's not that I hit a curb etc. I noticed this at apx 12k miles after the alignment. I had my tires rotated on a regular basis and air pressure checked every couple weeks. I know how to work on cars myself so I do know how to take care of what I drive. I now go to Firestone and yes they charge $199.95 but they also give lifetime free alignments (which really pays for itself since tires can go for years if you take good care of them & have the car aligned on a regular basis) and they fixed the issues that springworks failed to tell me about (for free) which caused me to go through a set of tires in apx 25k miles and the 65k mile warranty from America's tire would not cover this (I asked them) since the problem was with the alignment, not with the tires which I agree with. This is for sure a place that falls in the category of "you get what you pay for". So America's Tire blamed Springworks and Springworks said I should be able to have the tire warranty cover it even though there was nothing wrong with the tires like I said. They send customers back and forth and when things go bad, they don't handle it. I asked to speak to a manager but after being put on hold for apx 5 minutes, then calling back and being put on hold again, it was just the final straw. I had been a customer for 2 alignments. The first one had a minor issue and the second one cost me a set of new tires (although America's tire did really help by giving a HUGE discount even though it was not their fault....it was the fault of springworks) I knew it was too good to be true (for just $49.95) I am now telling the approx 20 people who I have told to go there about my story. I have been hearing bad things about springworks recently anyway so I'm not surprised. Those of you who love the "nice looking waiting room" need to concentrate on the work that is done on your car and read all of the low yelp ratings. It will cost you more in long run if you don't. Remember that most people don't know how good of a job a company actually did on the car since most people don't know how to work on cars or what to look for. Many people are just happy if it's inexpensive, looks good inside, and if they are satisfied with an answer like "the problem is you hit a curb, or the problem is you didn't check the air pressure etc etc" instead of having the mechanic actually dealing with the real problem then you should calculate how much it actually costs in the long run for your own financial well being. As they say, ignorance is bliss. A saying that goes hand in hand with springworks at least from my experiences. read more

I went in to get a front end alignment and came out with a great big list and a big price. Springs said I need new bearings on the right side front of the car and new ball joints on the left side new bushings, rear strut and the list goes on before doing a front alignment. So being the mechanic that I am and simply wanting to save money I go home with my list provided by Springs and tried to understand the sloppiest handwriting I've ever seen, I take my car a-part to fix these items and find that there is nothing wrong with the bearings or the bushings there's no rips or tears there in perfect condition. As a matter of fact I just replaced them when I replaced my clutch. So from what I can tell they tried to sell me a bill of goods. Which is no good. That's really sad. Oh and I was recommended to go to Springs by America Tire . I give no stars had to pick one just to post this remark. I'm confused with all the 5 star reviews maybe it's the laptops with wifi in the waiting room, the free fruit, bottled water and coffee. But then comes the list of bullshit. From one mechanic to another you can still be successful operating an honest business. You just got caught. read more
