He listened to my concerns without interruption and kept me updated every step of the way on repairs costs and timelines. He's also knowledgeable and friendly and made me feel understood, in regards to my worries about any repair costs. He remained patient and calm while listening to complaints. Salvador is one of the best service advisors at SRT! Sam, the owner of SRT, Sam, the owner of SRT, sets the standard for loyalty to his long-term customers. I had an expensive and lengthy repair job and Sam gave me a break and did not charge me for labor. Sam took the time to talk to me and go over and recommended only necessary repairs. He went through the most important repairs to the least important, which helped ease my anxiety. Also, SRT has the 36-month or 36,000-mile nationwide warranties on rebuilds. Sam and his whole team at SRT are dedicated to their customers and THAT makes all the difference. SRT is by far the best auto repair shop in Sonoma county!

I was concerned about getting stranded with my vehicle so they continued to investigate further and eventually found the issues. I ask a lot of questions and Salvador was very patient with the many questions I had about my cars repairs. Everyone on their team was also super helpful. They provided a ride from my house to the shop for pick up and even after changes they continued to support me to ensure that I could get to work given that my repairs were extensive and required a longer timeline than initial timeframe. This was super supportive as I could get to work with out missing work. Thank you to everyone that worked on my car and helped throughout the process.

Although I appreciate that they didn't charge a diagnostic fee, I'm really disappointed with my…read moreexperience. I brought my car in due to an intermittent gear slipping issue, which I had already traced to a solenoid problem--a very common issue with my Pontiac G6. The symptoms only occurred twice, very briefly. My check engine light came on both times but turned off on its own. I was still able to drive the car on the freeway at full speed with no issues. The problem only showed up during city stop-and-go traffic. I specifically asked if they could just replace the solenoid, and was told no. Instead, I was told I "only had gears 1 and 2" and that I'd need a $4,800 transmission rebuild--which is objectively false, as I literally drove the car 70+ mph on the freeway both before and after leaving the shop. My engine light was off before coming to the shop, turned on once at the shop, then turned back off shortly after leaving. There is no way my car had only gears 1 & 2 I know what that feels like as it happened twice briefly. So to say this to me is insane. Mind you wouldn't have been able to go more than 25 with out the car struggling they must have assumed I don't know a thing about cars. Possibly because I'm a woman and I went alone. They also claimed the solenoid was too difficult to access without replacing the computer and warned me about my car's mileage, as if that meant it wasn't worth fixing. But then, on my way out, they admitted it's a "really great car" and "this is the only issue." It felt manipulative. I decided to trust my gut, went to a different shop, and had the solenoid replaced--and now my car runs perfectly fine. No rebuild needed. If I hadn't known what I was talking about, they would've gladly let me spend thousands on a completely unnecessary repair. Trust yourself. Do your research. Don't let fear-based upselling push you into something you don't need. Also from reading the reviews it sounds like the routinely tell their customers they need a rebuild and successfully do the rebuild. (more than likely something very easily replaceable) However a good transmission shop doesn't just rebuild, they properly and honestly diagnose and repair. He also tried selling me cars on the way out. Notice how he hasn't replied to this yelp review and also told me he feels bad for me in the text? Very unprofessional I don't need your pitty I needed honesty which I didn't get from this shop. He also told me don't buy a used car you can't guarantee you won't have problems it's best if you fix this one with us. Also told me not to go to another shop because id want a local shop lol

When I received the car i complained that it shifted sluggish and could not tell shift kit was installed. Within a year the torque converter failed. Took it back and they serviced and replaced the torque converter. This car had less than 2500 miles on rebuilt tranny and engine. I drove it to my new home in San Tan Valley Az, 770 miles. Two days later 15 months after SR Hydramatic had serviced and replaced torque converter it failed again. Steve the shop owner insisted someone had messed with the throttle cable adjustment which he insisted was the cause of the first failed torque converter. NO ONE HAD TOUCHED THE THROTTLE CABLE AND STEVE REFUSED TO ACCEPT IT AS HIS BAD REBUILD I took the car to a shop in Queen Creek Az with reputable trained technicians, i asked them to examine the tranny. The torque converter failed was literally fried as well as the bands and bushings. THE MAIN CAUSE OF THE FAILED TRANSMISSION WAS DUE TO SR HYDRAMATIC INSTALLED AN UNDERSIZED PUMP WHICH WAS DESIGNED FOR A 6 CYLINDER ENGINED. THIS CAUSED EXCESSIVE HEAT WHICH FRIED THE TRANNY I HAD CALLED STEVE SEVERAL TIMES AND LEFT MESSAGES FOR HIM TO CALL ME SO I COULD TELL HIM WHY TRANNY FAILED. HE WOULD NOT ACCEPT MY CALLS OR CALL ME BACK SR HYDRAMATIC DOES NOT REBUILD TRANSMISSIONS ACCORDINGLY TO SPECIFICATIONS. PLEASE DO NOT HAVE THEM WORK ON YOU TRANSMISSION The repair shop i used for engine and tranny replacement,!reimbursed me for the cost of having the transmission rebuilt in Queen Creek Az.
