Are they efficient, are they hustling? For sure. Competitive rates?--check. Good communication?--check. Knowledgable?--check. A friend told me once , "The secret of being really successful in sales is not closing the deal. It's helping people find their way." I must have taken up an hour or more of Todd's time trying to figure out what I wanted for my truck. Spacers, lift kits, offsets... on and on! In the end I learned a lot and they did not get their sale. What they did get is my trust. It takes time and a willingness to have a conversation (sometimes many!) to figure out what people think they want vs what actually serves them best. That is rare today. This is not a business model that "scales up"; you can't automate or AI this kind of exchange. This is an old family business. Jeff Kalemba took over his father's business, swapping the first name for the last and expanding services, infrastructure and inventory steadily. Sometimes the kids are helping out. Todd and the crew keep things purring along, somehow finding the time for that deeper connection so lacking in the world today.

K-tech was tasked with getting the car back in top running order. The car had never been smogged which became a challenge that K-tech expertly navigated. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I'm happily driving around in my new ride with all the free time I have now. 5 stars from me. Rick Petersen

Starting from the beginning, the first time I took my Mercedes to K Tech (an automotive company not…read morespecializing in Mercedes, to be noted) resulted in $5k worth of repairs and maintenance fees. I thought it's a 10-year-old car with around 140,000 miles on it, so it makes sense for it to need quite a bit of maintenance. However, what doesn't make sense, is why 3 months later, I took the car in for an oil change (which they called to remind me to do, and then a day after they called, I received a "check engine oil" light), and proceeded to tell me that my car has a major oil leak and that the engine is damaged? After that, I took my car back and within a few days, the engine failed for good. After reading how many 1-star reviews there are, I have lost any confidence and faith in K-Tech. Why didn't they catch the oil leak just a few months prior? If it started after getting the car repaired, why did it get as bad as it did and break down so quickly immediately after taking it to K Tech again? If the engine was truly leaking oil for the 3-4 months after spending $5k on repairs, wouldn't it have leaked all of the oil and broken down much sooner? Is it a coincidence that right after they called to remind us to do an oil change, my car started alerting me that there was an issue with the oil/engine? Why would my car develop a severe oil leak soon after spending $5,000 on various repairs? Is 140,000 miles in 10 years a reasonable number for a car to begin breaking down just because it's old, especially after spending so much on repairs? I doubt it. Is it a stretch to consider that all of this may have been incredibly deliberate, especially considering how many reviews are from other customers and even other mechanics who are convinced of the same? Even if the damage the car accrued wasn't due to intentional malice, could all of this have been prevented if they chose not to accept work for a car they did not specialize in? Just a few thoughts. Maybe this resonates with someone else.

Did great work, was a very good communicator, and literally worked over a holiday so I could get my daily driver back. So nice to work with kind, local people! I needed new cylinders on all four brakes, so it wasn't an inexpensive repair, but I felt the pricing was fair and the work quality excellent. Know that they won't automatically call and tell you what a repair is going to cost, so if that information is important beforehand, just ask. Incredibly kind, knowledgeable people, and a wonderful shop!

Typically a mechanic will call you and tell you what repair is needed before doing the work. Instead of calling me the owner went ahead and made $300 in repairs to replace a single sensor located in a very easy to get to part of the engine. I could have replaced that sensor myself in 5 minutes. He never called me and refused to budge on the price of the repair even when I pointed out that running a diagnostic and replacing a sensor doesn't take 1.5 hours. He also topped off all my fluids in my car without my permission and charged me $21 for just that. It's unfortunate because i planned to take my VW back there for more work in a few weeks but now I can't trust them.
