My overall experience with them so far is very good. During the sales process, I was taken care of by Curtis Wilson. I made it clear that I wanted a small car with low monthly payments. Curtis & his department made no attempt to upsell (wouldn't have worked) and didn't push when I made it clear i was unwilling to buy the day I first met with Curtis. They did drop the price ~8 percent when I said I wouldn't buy the car right away, and intended to ask for quotes on comparable used cars from multiple other dealers . You should make it clear you are comparing their price to the competition (and actually do so) when you speak to sales. There are 3 ways in which i did not receive five star service: 1. the car was missing the tire repair kit (a 12 volt air pump & temporary tire repair foam) and Curtis had to look everywhere to find me one before I left. 2. The previous owner of this 2-year-old car didn't leave it with an owner's manual and Sales didn't obtain a replacement before selling the car. 3. Unbeknownst to me, the car also didn't have its tires at full pressure when I drove it off the lot. The tire pressure warning light came on soon after and I didn't know what the light was since I had no owner's manual. I went in to the service department because of the warning light. They picked a perfect appointment time for me; they were understanding when what i THOUGHT was a check engine light was really a tire pressure warning. Maury, the repair tech, filled the tires and drove me around the block to diagnose the car, because I had also reported a ticking noise and we weren't clear on the cause. I had signed a form saying the standard diagnostic fee was $105, but they did not charge me for any of this. Over all I found Maury very helpful. We didn't find out for sure what the ticking noise was, but it is gone for now and might have been caused by the low tire pressure (the car's ABS and traction control may act up when the tire pressure is too low) read more

I thought I was having a good experience with Springfield Hyundai until I realized they added an extra warranty onto my vehicle that was literally never discussed and never asked for. We asked several times if the 10 year warranty was included in the price of the vehicle and we were told yes. So when I was presented with warranty paperwork, I knew it was the warranty we discussed. It wasn't until I logged on to set up my account for payments did I see that the price of the loan didn't match the price of the vehicle. The warranty will be refunded but my monthly payment will stay the same. Several times I explained I needed the payment to be a certain number and they insisted it was the best they could do. My payment would have been exactly what I wanted it to be had they not deceptively added a warranty onto my vehicle. I'm disappointed in the manager Alark Patel. They would have received a glowing review and still would have made a sale had it not been for this. I was already spending my money, I don't see why it was necessary to try to squeeze out more. I NEVER waste my valuable time writing reviews so I am doing this to save you from the most horrible experience in car buying. I have been to Springfield Hyundai twice in the past and found them to be unwilling to negotiate a fair deal. I have purchased 3 Hyundais already and they are much more expensive than their competitors. So when they sent me a letter saying they would pay me 120% of KBB value for a trade on my Veloster AND give me their "Friends and Family Discount" on the purchase of a new Hyundai, I decided to give them one last chance...Heck, I had their deal in writing. So I get there and they looked perplexed at the letter they sent me. Then they offered me 30% LESS than KBB value for my used Hyundai instead of 20% more (I eventually traded at their competitor for $7000, they offered $4500). So what about their "Friends and Family Discount on the new car?? NOTHING!!! not one penny off MSRP !!! What a joke. POOR CUSTOMER CARE I would not recommend Hyundai Springfield, let alone Hyundai's in general. Purchased a new i30N in 2018. All was fine but I noticed a slight panel gap in the front left hand door. Mentioned that at 10k service to which they ignored me. Then mentioned again at the next service for them to ASSURE ME that Hyundai will cover this to be repaired as long as it is in warranty. Well it was in warranty but Hyundai then waited until AFTER it was out to say it's not covered. They initially lied saying I didn't tell them at 10k service, and then I had to keep calling Hyundai Customer Care to follow them up because, in their words, the dealership is having trouble getting back to them. Turns out they only sent photos of the gap to the repairer for a quote, and then lied and said the gap is no more than 1mm difference which is acceptable for them? How did they measure the GAP if the dealership doesn't do repair work, only the panel shop?? Absolutely terrible. It's more than 1mm. Also, if it's acceptable for Hyundai to not cover things because it's slightly out, does that mean I can only pay some of the service cost in future as that's acceptable for me? Rubbish excuse. For $220 they should look after their customers but they do not. My mother in-law had a second hand Ford Kuga that had an engine issue and guess what? FORD were going to replace the WHOLE ENGINE at their own expense. Now that is customer service! Not what I am receiving now. And now I'm being told I'm a liar because they don't think their customer service advisor at the dealer told me that they fix it. This was the worst service I have ever received in my life. I took my car to the dealership because my engine failed. I spoke to Everett who told me he received me car and would be able to look at it on Monday. This all began on Friday. I called to check on my car the following week and they told me they couldn't find my car. I was on the phone with Everett where he told me someone must have forgotten to put it in the system and I would have to call back. I had to remind him he was that somebody. I have an email communication to prove it. He than apologized and said he would rush my car because they never checked it. I was paying for a rental for a week by now. I went into the dealership where the "manager" AJ attempted to pacify me and acted like because this was a Hyundai issue he was doing me a favor. They held my car for two additional weeks replacing the engine. I paid for a rental for about three weeks. They were rude and dismissive. I wanted to buy another car and I would never with Hyundai. I always dread bringing my car to this dealership! I've never been anywhere in my life where they have so many rude unprofessional people that work for one company! I know a lot about cars and they think because I'm a pretty young female they can take advantage and try to say things are wrong with my car when I know they arent! For instance I had multiple recalls and after they fixed and replaced them they knew I did not have to pay anything so they dragged out working on it. It took them 3 weeks to replace airbags and seatbelts!!! Then they call me on a Friday and say ma'am your car is ready however you have multiple nails in your tire and it is now flat! I'm confused my car sat for 2 weeks in front of my house in the cold and the tire didnt go flat. Why is it there for 3 weeks and you wait till the day its ready to be picked up to tell me my tire is flat and you want 140 to replace one tire! Then I go to pick up the car and they tell me my advisor is not there so now I have to wait till Monday to get my car because they have to test drive it. Well why are you calling me saying my car is ready if its not and now I have to wait 2 more days to get it! While talking to someone she got irritated and hung up on me and would not answer when I called back. Like I said in the beginning I hate this place. I have taken our Hyundai Elantra here in the past for routine service as well as warranty claims. The routine service has been reasonably priced and they are usually pretty friendly over the phone. I do have a few complaints, and possible constructive solutions below - - No loaner service, however they supposedly offer a shuttle service during business hours that will take you anywhere within a few mile radius. I work during business hours so this is very little help to me. In times where I have had to drop my car off with problems I've had to rent a car off site and organize everything on my own. Guys, it's 2014! Every reputable dealer offers loaner cars, especially when an appointment is made for major work well in advance! If not, you should be able to facilitate me in getting a car if I won't be able to have mine for a day or two. Honestly, I would even gladly PAY EXTRA if I could loan a car directly from the dealer. - After a handful of services I've unfortunately categorized you as 'one of those mechanics' that don't make phone calls. If I have an appointment for 7:30-8am, I shouldn't have to call on my own at 3pm to get an update. More often than not this is the case, and it gets pretty irritating. Talk to your customers. Their cars are there main source of transport and I can't be left hanging! - Every time that I have waited for oil changes and tire rotations the mechanics have smoked next to the door leading into the waiting room. The door swings open quite a bit, where you can usually spot a few mechanics smoking and chatting. This is just poor customer experience. Maybe they are on break, but it doesn't look good as a consumer to see multiple people standing around and smoking. How about outdoors in the back lot? All being said, if I have an option I'd much rather take my Hyundai to a dealer (Conicelli) that is further away to have a cleaner, better experience. It's ashame because I would much rather support a local business. read more

While shopping around for a car, I wanted to get all the financing options and info prior to walking into the dealer so that my time for the actual purchase was limited. My experience was so wonderful, that even though I was given a slightly lower price from another dealer, I wanted to use Springfield because of the Customer Service. I worked with Michelle and she was so informative and made me feel like my best interest was always at hand. She gave me all of the options and explained everything prior to going into the dealership. I did not feel overwhelmed or confused during my purchase at all. I also had the pleasure of working with Mike on the floor. He got my car ready for my pick up and walked me through all the features of the car. Our sales representative, Michael Hodgson was really a pleasant person who clearly cared about making a deal that we could live with. The only issue with our experience was the fact that pretty much all cars cost $2,000 more than the list price. I knew this going into the dealership after scouting out a car online, but the whole idea of paying $2,000 more than the price listed just seems like misrepresentation. Definitely look into the car online before you go in to purchase. Regardless, we are on a VERY tight budget and Mike was able to make the purchase fit our financial capabilities. I had a bad, weird, and freaky service experience at this location. I left my car for a recall and oil change. I got a call from my service coordinator named Henry. He suggested getting the manufacturing recommended timing belt change, fuel system clean, and coolant system flush. It was almost a thousand-dollar service so I discussed details of the charges and accepted the service. When I saw the bill I saw 2 separate $130 before discount for fuel system clean and coolant system flush. I remember Mr. Henry did only mention $130 for the work but did not specify two separate charges. I was upset about the miscommunication/misinformation. So I asked to speak to a manager and Mr. henry said he is the one and handed me his card. Later, while checking the card I saw his name is A. J Henry and position assistant service manager. So realizing he does have a supervisor, I called the location. They transferred to Stacy, (service manager), who did not pick up. I called again and spoke to a guy who introduced himself as Aubrey. I asked him wanted to talk to Mr. Henry's supervisor. He introduced himself as to be one with a director of service position. From the beginning of the conversation, something was not matching up! His was rude in behavior, taking his employee's side constantly, laughing sarcastically while I was speaking, continuous disregard of the complaint I had, instead trying to justify my experience with offtopic logic, such as the discount I got or how most of the people leave happy of that service center and finally his unprofessional tone. Overall, his incapability of handling the whole situation made me doubt. I checked my service receipt. The name of the service manager was being Aubrey henry. So.... A.J Henry, Aubrey, and Aubrey henry I believed the same guy. I confronted him, instead of answering he became more aggressive and hung up. I believe he was faking to be the manager of himself and spoke to me. Anybody planning to get serviced there, I would suggest trying to avoid this A.J Henry. If you do, don't trust his "Bud! I will take care of you. "Be specific to all the service details and charges. For the management, it started with a bad experience, it was unnecessary however to make it a weird and freaky one. When acts like this are taken place at work, by a service manager, with this level of "don't care" attitude to an extent of faking identity, the issue is not that individual, it's the whole management. If I believe I was misinformed/uninformed about service details or had a bad experience, at the very least, I should be able to address my concern to someone apart from the very same guy I received the service with. I should have been speaking with Stacy, the service manager, or the location supervisor when I requested. You lost my trust 100%, I am canceling the plan I had to upgrade my car with you guys. I have taken my 2006 Sonata there numerous times, mostly for oil changes, but also for some major repairs exceeding $500 (water pump, front suspension, and crankshaft pulley all at different times). There's something about OEM parts and know how that I have come to appreciate after trying to use aftermarket parts and service from Autozone, PepBoys, etc. I also took my car for an extended warranty repair and they managed my expectations very well, telling me that there's a very specific reason which Hyundai Corporate covers and if the diagnosis recommends that repair, then it will be free of charge. It was and they fixed it free of cost :). Most of the time, I have been very happy with the service professionals as they have managed my expectations very well from cost estimates to actually getting the car ready on time. I believe one of the advisers name is Emit and he managed to waive shipping costs for a part which not only reduced my bill but also had me out in a day instead of 5 days because the weekend was in the way! I have had similar "little things" positive experience with other advisers. They always let you know what needs to be done and how much it's going to cost before doing it. I have had no problem in scheduling appointments using their website. Two things that are a little annoying. First, for one of my major repairs, I asked about a loaner car but didn't get it. I thought it was fine because I had a 2006. However, the next time I went there, another service adviser told me that they sometimes offer a courtesy one day rental (free of cost) if the invoice is substantial. I was annoyed when I found that out because my invoice was definitely substantial. The next time I went in for a major repair, I requested the courtesy vehicle and they gave it to me which made me happy. That aspect is something that sets them apart from other places, especially since I had an older vehicle so I always wonder why they don't offer it more freely. It's a HUGE advantage over other places. Second thing that was annoying was a little miscommunication which cost me $250 earlier than expected (I would have had to spend it eventually later so not super annoyed but just a little). The diagnosis recommended certain components of the front suspension to be changed. When I went in for the repair, I told them specifically not to change certain parts but maybe I wasn't clear. Besides the two times I was annoyed, I am happy with the service department's attitude and professionalism and will continue going here until I keep the Sonata. read more

I bought my Hyundai Tucson (2012) brand new from Sussman Hyundai in Willow Grove. My vehicle has only had maintenance from Sussman and nowhere else. Recently, I moved closer to Springfield Hyundai. I was due for inspection and an oil change and brought my vehicle to Springfield for the very first time. The vehicle was done promptly and I was on my way leaving when I noticed that the oil change sticker was the one that I drove in with. I went back and was told that it was just "forgotten." The service manager brought one out an slapped it on my car...Off I went. I recently noticed that I do not have any window wash fluid. I was puzzled because just a couple of weeks ago, I had my car serviced and lo and behold it indicates that my window wash fluid was changed as well. I call and inquire...the first person I spoke with (a female in service dept.), not listening fully to what I said, stated that they don't top off fluids when they do inspections...I had to brody the conversation and indicate that i also had an oil change. Instead of offering some type of solution, her non-ownership having ass sent me to the service manager that I actually had the day of the service. He told me that I possibly have a crack in my container that holds the fluid. He told me to bring it back there. I happen to work next door to a garage that fixes city taxi cabs. Please note that I have NEVER had anyone outside of the dealership do ANYTHING to my vehicle. My oil was NEVER changed on 2/24/2018 and the fluid was never put in...NO crack found in my container that holds it. Integrity means everything when it comes to any business dealings. Buyer beware of this place!!! You could really cause someone to lose a great deal of $$$ (what if my engine would've ceased??) What if the brakes fail on a car because you NEVER really changed them? I feel totally ripped off (and you'll understand if you read this to the end). I called Springfield Hyundai on a Wednesday to either patch or replace a flat tire. They said they can get a matching Hankook tire from their warehouse within an hour. I had my car towed there on a Friday. Talked with a service guy who was very friendly, but he told me that they did not have that tire at the warehouse and wouldn't get it until Tuesday, but they can get a Kumho tire immediately and that it had similar rating, treads, etc. for the same price. I was there for 3 hours while they replaced the tire and reset the electronic system (cars built after 2007 have mandatory tire pressure monitoring systems). They forgot to give me back my vehicle registration but fortunately I noticed that before I left their building. Then I tried my GPS/navigation and it said I was already home 12 miles away when I was still in their lot! I had to go back and have them reset it. I also noticed that the treads for the Chinese-made Kumho tire were very different from my Korean-made Hankook tires and the load # was also different, so I asked again and the guy assured me that they were similar and wouldn't make a difference. I think I could have let everything slide if it wasn't for one thing. They had charged me $144 for the tire (not including labor and tax). That's not outlandish for the Hankook tire that I had originally intended to buy. But when I checked online after I got home, the Kumho tire they gave me instead was typically sold for less than $100 (even as low as $71 at one place). What a ripoff! read more

I gave Springfield Hyundai 5 stars based on my most recent experience, when I actually bought my car. I had gone once before, at the beginning of my car search and the saleswoman (who is no longer there) could not have been more disinterested. The manager was trying to overcharge me for a car with high mileage and acted like he was doing me a favor. I only went back because, one month later, I was still no closer to finding my car. I am so glad I did! Curtis Wilson was my salesperson and he was just great. He was extremely low pressure but cared enough to actually talk to his manager (a different one from the first one I had dealt with) about getting me a good deal. I ended up with a reliable car I love, and I got it at a great price. Another note about Curtis - there were some scratches on the hood and side of my car and he gave me a loaner car while the service department fixed it, free of charge! And when I saw him to pick up my car, he was still friendly, asked how I was liking my car, etc. Some car salespeople sell you the car and want nothing more to do with you but he was the exact opposite! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. My wife and I went in ready to purchase a 2010 Sonata, ready to see all the tricks of the trade one finds at a dealership. As a salesman I try to work around one simple rule: treat your customers well. These people could use a lesson! We sat for around half an hour at Kurt's desk before he came and greeted us. From the start he was very condescending to my wife whenever she expressed an opinion, and made it very clear it wasn't her place to speak about a car. He was mealymouthed and evasive, refusing to answer even the most basic questions about the vehicle we wanted to purchase. He wouldn't tell us how much the vehicle cost, or what options it had. Every twenty minutes or so Kurt would excuse himself and retreat to the back room and leave us waiting for an average of fifteen to twenty minutes before coming back having 'gotten a better deal'. Only after An hour of playing sales games and rude behavior did he actually take us out to the lot to inspect vehicles. While on the lot, the treatment was about the same. Kurt would not answer my questions directly, or even respond when my wife was speaking to him. Every sentence he spoke was a sales game. We couldn't find out whether or not the car in question was on the lot or on 'the other lot' an hour away. Despite the fact that we made our choice and preference clear, he was constantly trying to push us into purchasing a brand new vehicle that we couldn't afford. I finally got a direct answer about the availability of the vehicle when we threatened to leave. At that point he became very simpering and fawning, trying to keep us from leaving. After (finally) test driving a vehicle and agreeing on it, we went back inside and spent over four hours trying to get a firm answer on the price. Using the same tactics as before, He would frequently spend intervals up to a half hour in the back room, simply trying to wear us down to agree to whatever price he cared to set. Of the total of SIX HOURS we spent in the dealership, less than two were actually spent with talking with Kurt. Most of it we spent sitting at his desk waiting for him to return. Despite our repeatedly expressed concern for the time as my wife had an appointment to make at 6 pm, Kurt continued to hem and haw and refuse to commit to any pricing or give us the information we needed to make a decision. At ten minutes to 6 we stood up to leave because it was clear he wouldn't work with us, at which point he became extremely abusive and sullen, telling us how we wasted his time and couldn't be pleased. We politely told him that we had set the deadline when we first sat down, and he clearly wasn't in a hurry to sell us a vehicle, so we left. He was obviously very annoyed that his sleazy tactics hadn't worn us down. Never in my life have we been treated with such blatant disrespect from a supposedly reputable company. If any reader still decides to go to Springfield Hyundai, STAY AWAY FROM KURT. He will waste your life. read more

Can I give 0 stars???? Steve Mountes is extremely rude. In addition, my car is less than a year old, and already showing rust. Steve calls is "oxidation" and tells me it is not covered under warranty. WHAT????? I am getting 30 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined driving. The car advertise 40 highway and 33 combined. I know Hyundai has now backed down from those claims, but the mileage I am getting is ridiculous, and far, far lower than I have ever gotten on any car I have ever owned in my almost 40 years of driving. Oh, and Steve Mountes told me to take my car elsewhere. Why is this man still service manager at this service department???? I was looking to trade out of my 2013 Accent and attempted to trade it in to the NJ dealership that I originally purchased it at. I recently moved to PA and my salesman in NJ told me that I would have to go through some hoops to getting pa tags changed around and the like. At the tag place I was informed that all I needed to do was to go buy a car and all of that would be handled by the dealership. Although a little confused I did enter Springfield Hyundai to see what the process actually was. I was promptly greeted By Steve in the sales department, he introduced hiimself and asked me how he could assist me. I told him my story, what I was trying to do and that I have seen the ad for the Elantra and I want to know want to know if it was real. Steve was great he listened to my concerns and ask questions about what it was that I wanted and then let me know if it can be done he could do it. After seeing the new car and driving it I knew that I wanted to get into the Elantra and out of my car, (of course I did not want them to know that) Here comes the part where I was blown away. As my salesman went to go get the number from his manager I was preparing myself for haggle time on why it was not the same as what I had seen. When Steve came back it was actually lower then I thought it would be because my trade was worth more then I owed. Steve explained that with the ad price and the equity in my trade the payments would be less. Or I could pay the ad price payment and take money back on my trade. If I could give NO stars that's what I would give. To start from the beginning with this dealership. I went in with my dad in April of 2013 to trade in a Santa Fe, which my parents loved and I got my own 2013 elantra limited. Curtis my salesperson was super nice and helpful. I pay a little more than usual though for a monthly payment for this type of car. I was under the impression they were paying off my parents car but it was rolled into mine. My fault for not asking more questions. Well a few weeks into owning this car my tire pressure light kept coming on, luckily after about 6 times of bringing it in they swapped my car for the same model. I was loving it for a year. Its def full of features. Well fast forward to Dec 14. The car won't start. Thought of weird better bring it in. Was told that the battery terminals were lose. Good for a few months, happened again, they say it starts for them nothing wrong with it. I was angry but thought okay let's see what happens. About 3 weeks later and no start again. Bring it to another dealership because of the tow location. Was told the brake switch was broken. Replace it and go on my way. Fast forward yet another 3 weeks and here we are. Another no start, starts for them so they think oh well there's nothing we can see wrong with it. Talked to the manager Chris when I brought it in on Saturday he looked at my fiancé and I in the eye and said HE would make sure it would get fixed no matter what! HE also said I would get a complimentary oil change. Get a call today they need me to pick it up. Its not fixed they never figured it out and NOOOOOOO oil change. I am beyond annoyed. I called Chris 3 days ago and no call back. Talked to Bob Kelly the manager today and he could not care about my problem. In the end of all of this I will NEVER EVER buy another car from this dealership again. Nor will I service it there unless it has to do with the warranty. On a positive note though Stacey the service manager is great. So friendly, and just wants to help me! read more

When a company wrongs a customer, they typically have two alternatives: Attempt to make the customer happy.  It may take a small investment to do so, but in the end, companies that take care of their customers typically achieve greater success.Ignore the customer's complaint, and deal with the consequences. This is the story of a company that chose the second option. Why I Bought a Hyundai After graduating from college over a dozen years ago, one of the first things that I wanted to do was to purchase a car.  At the time, my car had nearly 200,000 miles and a myriad of issues,  I needed something reliable to get me to and from work.  I test drove a number of different vehicles,  but my finances really limited my options.  With my down payment and anticipated car payment, I limited my options to purchasing a used model from Toyota or Honda, or instead opting for a brand new model from one of the discount brands.   There was something appealing about owning a brand new car, and having a blank canvas of sorts to take pride in, and take care of.  Of the discount brands, Hyundai caught my eye and quickly became the favorite.  Their new line of cars had slick styling, were well reviewed, and were very affordable.  More importantly, all of their marketing materials boasted of how all of their cars came with "America's Best Warranty" , which covered the engine for 10-years and 100,000 miles, and the rest of the vehicle for 5-years and 60,000 miles.  This warranty was a huge selling point for me, and I ended up selecting a brand new Hyundai as my first vehicle out of college. Trouble Will Find Me Over the course of the next few years, my Hyundai performed fairly well.  It got decent gas mileage, and handled the needs of a 21 year-old young professional fairly well.  I did my part by getting regular oil changes and following the recommended maintenance plan.  The car didn't have any issues at all for the first 60,000 miles, and fortunately I didn't need to put (the supposed) America's Best Warranty to the test.  That all changed shortly after the odometer passed mile 61,000.   One day after visiting a friend, I was driving on the highway when the car started to rapidly decelerate.  I quickly pulled off to the side of the road, and smoke began to billow out from underneath the hood.  The issue seemed to come out of nowhere, as the car had given no indications of trouble.  There had been no service engine lights, no leaks in the driveway, and I had actually had my fluids checked just a few weeks before.  Regardless, the car wasn't driveable, and I had it towed to the nearest dealership. Hyundai Responds Later that day, the Hyundai service department called me with the skinny.  The temperature gauge that determines when anti-freeze needs to be injected into the engine had malfunctioned and stopped injecting coolant. Without any way to cool itself, the engine block had massively overheated, and was a total loss.  When I asked about why there hadn't been a service engine light, and they told me that the monitors also had apparently failed, and didn't detect the issue.  At this point, I was grateful that I had bought a Hyundai.  If I had gone with a different brand without such a great warranty, I would be in trouble.  I mentioned this to the service manager, and asked how long it would take them to fix the engine.  He told me that he would get back with me later that day with an answer. The call that I received that evening knocked my socks off.  It wasn't from the Hyundai dealership's service department, but instead was a regional Hyundai corporate representative.  He said that while the 100,000 mile warranty did cover the engine and all its components, the coolant temperature gauge was not considered part of this assembly.  Since my vehicle's engine issues were caused by a failure in this gauge, none of the repairs would be covered by the warranty.   I was floored.   I explained that the whole reason that I bought a Hyundai in the first place was because of this warranty, and that if the entire basis of their American marketing campaign revolved around this warranty,  it wasn't ethical for them not to honor their promises.  The injection of fluid was a critical part of the operation of the power-train, and didn't make any sense for them to push that part outside of the warranty coverage.  Even still, I told them that  I could understand if they didn't want to cover the cost of replacing the temperature gauge, but that the engine itself should absolutely be covered.  He disregarded my comments and told me that a replacement engine could be ordered for several thousands dollars (not including the cost of installation) if I would like, but it wouldn't be covered under the warranty. Poor communication , customer service. Don't waste your time and energy here. I bought a car here, a Sonata Eco. My wife drive it and she noticed Holes in the back of the steering wheel. We tried to contact the sales person ( Joe D'ambrosio) by email but he did not reply then we called him after a week.( after a second email that he did not reply either). He told me that Hyundai Springfield is going to fix this and it would take one day at the most. A simple fix. We had an appointment for the 22 August. At the appointment the manager ( Bob Keller) told us that it is perfectly normal to have rough irregular holes ( they are litterally scrapping the fingers when turning making the driving experience not great) all the sonatas have that and there is no way they are going to do something. He mentioned that if we are not happy we have to contact the brand. ( What a hassle after just three weeks purchasing the car). They did not take care of us at all I mean they litteraly made us waste our time . This is not a professional dealership. And it let us both regret to have bought a Hyundai. read more

Unfortunately, every time I attempt to make an appointment for a simple oil change they tell me there is at least a week before I can get an appointment. This is totally unacceptable for a 30 minute job! My next vehicle will definitely not come from Springfield Hyundai! read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE THIEVES!! Their warranty should read: "America's worst warranty!" From overpaying (17.5 k for a 2010 Accent; well over the msp) because of some cheap; essentially temporary stick-on pin-striping and helium in the tires, to the hard-sell, to them not honoring to fix a single thing that has gone wrong with this car since the purchase this has got to be the worst experience of my entire life. Literally driving home from the lot the antenna fell off the car! Not only did they not replace it free, but actually charged my $300 to replace it. This is cheap enough; but to maintain good customer service and word of mouth you might think that even "if" it had somehow been a customer's fault that this happened that they might fix it anyway in the spirit of good will? NO! Worse yet, they give me an appointment to come in to have it fixed when there are apparently NO SERVICE PEOPLE EVEN WORKING! Complete waste of my time! And the apparent reason they seem to have concocted this entire ridiculousness was simply to get my car there so they could say it was "vandalized!" ...Where? On YOUR LOT??? Making me waste my valuable time so they could save a couple bucks by not having to honor the warranty is as insulting as it is infuriating. So- we've thus far established that "America's worst warranty does not cover the smallest of things for a car with literally 10 miles on it. So- how about larger things? Next, all of the oil in my engine just pours out. I have the car towed to their lot (thinking; or being told at least that I have this 10 year 100,000 mile warranty on the car). They tell me that it is the oil plug that has fallen out of the car; that the entire engine has seized up; it will cost me $3,500 to replace the entire engine, and that the WARRENTY WILL NOT COVER IT! So- I ask, from the smallest to the largest of things; this warranty has covered nothing...so- what exactly does it cover?? Because I would honestly like to know. In complaining about this to the Hyundai manufacturers I was then told that all Hyundai dealerships are privately owned and the decision to cover warranty items or not is in the sole discretion of that particular dealership. Well- this particular Springfield Hyundai dealership absolutely sucks! THEY ARE OUT FOR YOUR MONEY ONLY- NOTHING ELSE. And once they've gotten it out of you want you only to go away. The croup de grace is that just after I received some form letter shaped up to appear very personalized offering to buy my car back for 11k (though with stipulations; which I am sure must be part of some complete scam like the rest of the experience I've had with them for them to knock $$$ off of whatever you expected to get back from them for it). And the most insulting part of the entire letter; which I honestly came close to just putting in the trash if not for blunt curiosity- is that they said in this form letter that they "treat every customer as though they were their best friend!" The Service Center -they try to rip me off . i only went in for an oil change and i was given an estimate of over $1.000 of things that the car needs to be changed, The car is only 35,000 miles , i declined to do that, After i left their shop i took the car to another shop and the story was a total false. i have been driving for the past 30 yrs and i know when a car have a problem and needs repairs. Worst dealership I have ever dealt with in almost the country and I have lived in a few different states and traveled through the country a bit and this place I have had enough... been dealing with them for a few yrs and God knows I have tried to be patient and understanding but now I am done... and maybe they are called dealerships because you have to constantly "deal" with b.s. There is something seriously wrong with my vehicle that actually put me in harms way and yet they refuse to get back to me but when you get serviced here they constantly try to strong arm you into giving them a five star rating and swear they give a 24 point inspection but I beg to differ because I am not a mechanic and picked up on what is wrong and the car is supposed to be under warranty but yet I had to take on the cost myself because they will not answer my calls or get back to me but I had no choice to fix it elsewhere because it now is a safety issue but Springfield Hyndai does not care read more
