The decor was swanky and classy. Everything was so clean. We booked a double queen room. The beds were comfortable. There was a mini fridge that we used for leftovers (Valeo's!!). There was also a desk that my husband was able to use for working remotely. The black out curtains on the window were legit. The room was very dark at night and into the morning. Also, the ceilings were concrete which made the room SUPER quiet!! That part was also a relief because we have a toddler and his stomping around was not loud in this hotel. Amazing! The staff was always very friendly on our way in and out of the building each day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!!

I specifically chose this property because of its proximity to the starting line of a race I was traveling for. With such short notice, there were no comparable options left nearby, and I ultimately had to cancel the trip altogether. While my money was refunded, there was no apology, no explanation, and no effort to offer any accommodation or alternative solution. Canceling a confirmed reservation at the last minute can seriously disrupt travel plans, and that's exactly what happened here. Very disappointing experience.

Now what can I say about the hotel...the hotel is in a prime spot in Kenosha. It's the only hotel on the water and most convenient to downtown...walker's galore. If I knew the harbor was prime location for fishing I would have brought my fishing poles! The staff is pleasant. But you'd think they could do a little improvement on the worn furnishings. The lamp by the bedside was smashed and yellowing. Immediately you just get a feeling you're in a "trashy motel". I get you are on the lakefront, yes, you have that advantage so you really don't have to do anything to get people to come. But you know if you just replaced that damaged aging lampshade I wouldn't have felt so disgusted. I believe this is one of the prime spots for entertainment in Kenosha. There were scheduled comedy and musical acts so that's another draw to the hotel. As I stated in the beginning, I came to watch "Would You Kindly" and I think its neat they provide this venue for the public and entertainers alike. The free breakfast was the typical contiental fare. They had a pancake machinine inistead of the familar waffle machine. Very clean and orderly. I felt no sense of negativity from any of the staff. I would have rated this higher if management would put more pride in thir hotel and give their customers a better impression and feel more welcomed just making simple improvements. The problem started with a very slow draining bathroom sink with scum coming to the surface and a calcium build up on the shower head. The floors were filthy and maid service was every other day if requested the night before. We did request that the floor be mopped, but it remained dirty. The bathroom door knob was held on by one screw and the entry door had pry marks. It was't all bad. The pillows and bed were very comfortable and they provided a decent free Buffet breakfast every morning. We won't be staying here again!

However, housekeeping only comes once a week, and the bathroom amenities provided aren't enough for seven days. You have to go to the front desk to ask for more, and they only give you about a three-day supply each time, which feels a bit stingy. When I first checked in, the garbage disposal under the kitchen sink wasn't working, so it seems the staff didn't check the room properly before guests arrived. Overall, if the room rate were under $100 per night, I'd say it's fair. But given the current price -- with no breakfast and no bottled water provided -- the value for money is not very high.

There's free water (cucumber or lemon infused), hot water, and coffee (regular and decaf) in the lobby. The free breakfast was delicious and the staff kept the breakfast area clean. They had 3 breakfast meals in rotation and fruit, mini muffins, oatmeal, cereal, hard boiled eggs, juice, waffle (ready to make). -sausage pieces, scrambled eggs, mini flour tortillas -sausage links, scrambled eggs, French toast -sausage patties, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy I had an issue with my room key and the front desk was able to fix the issue. They have someone at the front desk 24/7 so there's always someone available to help you. I was even able to order something on Amazon and the front desk held it for me till I returned back that night. There's a laundry room and it was pretty easy to use. My only concern was that another guest called my room and all my other coworkers rooms at 4 am. It's a little concerning that people in other rooms can call each other through the hotel phones.
