I specifically chose this property because of its proximity to the starting line of a race I was traveling for. With such short notice, there were no comparable options left nearby, and I ultimately had to cancel the trip altogether. While my money was refunded, there was no apology, no explanation, and no effort to offer any accommodation or alternative solution. Canceling a confirmed reservation at the last minute can seriously disrupt travel plans, and that's exactly what happened here. Very disappointing experience.

Since the building is on a slope, the main lobby is on the 3rd floor, their gym is on the 2nd and the pool is on the 1st. I was hoping to get in an early morning swim so I tried to get to the pool at opening but realized that the pool opens to guests at 9am. I was there way too early so I ended up in the gym for a little bit waiting for the pool. The pool is heated but its not deep. Its 3 feet all around. Hot tub was decent. I was only there for a few minutes and then it started to get busy and then I left. It looks like they've done some refreshes to the lobby and rooms but the exterior entrance tends to have some seedy folk hanging around especially during the night hours. There's clearly understaffing issues because our room wasn't cleaned thoroughly. The tub in our bathroom had hair stuck to the tiled backsplash and the window curtains had some questionable dark stains. Parking, Wi-fi and breakfast were complementary. Photos weren't shown. The breakfast spread was above average with sausage patties, fresh egg patties and pancakes. Considering it was Labor Day weekend, we were able to get our King Harborside view for $150/night after taxes.

However, housekeeping only comes once a week, and the bathroom amenities provided aren't enough for seven days. You have to go to the front desk to ask for more, and they only give you about a three-day supply each time, which feels a bit stingy. When I first checked in, the garbage disposal under the kitchen sink wasn't working, so it seems the staff didn't check the room properly before guests arrived. Overall, if the room rate were under $100 per night, I'd say it's fair. But given the current price -- with no breakfast and no bottled water provided -- the value for money is not very high.

There are 3 count them 3 sprinkler heads in this room, and it has those heavy picture frames that makes you feel like someone is watching you. I have stayed in some really nice Best Westerns, but this one is shiny on the outside and creepy on the inside.

There's free water (cucumber or lemon infused), hot water, and coffee (regular and decaf) in the lobby. The free breakfast was delicious and the staff kept the breakfast area clean. They had 3 breakfast meals in rotation and fruit, mini muffins, oatmeal, cereal, hard boiled eggs, juice, waffle (ready to make). -sausage pieces, scrambled eggs, mini flour tortillas -sausage links, scrambled eggs, French toast -sausage patties, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy I had an issue with my room key and the front desk was able to fix the issue. They have someone at the front desk 24/7 so there's always someone available to help you. I was even able to order something on Amazon and the front desk held it for me till I returned back that night. There's a laundry room and it was pretty easy to use. My only concern was that another guest called my room and all my other coworkers rooms at 4 am. It's a little concerning that people in other rooms can call each other through the hotel phones.
