The staff was wonderful. We were only going to spend one night but then 12" of snow hit New Bern. I asked if we could extend and then extend again. They gave us the rate originally set for the first night and then made some calls for us regarding what was open or not. Everyone there went out of their way to make us feel welcome and be helpful. One young man even went out and helped my husband clear off the car. I can't recommend this Marriott enough. read more

Me and my husband was in town this weekend because someone passed in our family and we needed a room for a night and the price was ok and the breakfast was mediocre but we found multiple pieces of hair in both beds like the sheets was not changed dirty hand towels with lip stick on them and the shower had so much soap scum on the bottom of the door like it was not cleaned a dead lady Bug on the bathroom sink the chair that was in the room was full of hair as well but we managed for the night we stayed but I probably won't stay again read more

This was my third stay at SpringHill Suites in New Bern, NC. I was greeted by Venus upon entering. Her personality is radiant and immediately we clicked. She made me feel very much at home during my stay. I was unaware that the hotel has a pool. This may be because when I stay during the height of Covid it was closed. All of the staff from the receptionist to the cleaning lady were very nice and professional. The mini waffles were delicious. They were so sweet that I didn't need syrup. They taste like cake. I will be back again and I'm always staying here from now on. read more

Really friendly and welcoming employees. You'll see the same folks here everyday which I like. I stayed here for 2 night on business, then moved to a different hotel which ended up being a total nightmare. So I immediately came back to SpringHill Suites. Rooms are spacious, clean, updates and quiet. Nice big shower and small kitchen area. Comfortable bed. This will definitely be the location I recommend for this area of NC. read more

We made this reservation at the last minute on hotels.com. Got the room for a lil over $100. This room we clean and well appointed. They provided Paul Mitchell toiletries. It appears they are following all COVID standards. They young lady at Check in on Monday was helpful and friendly. The pillows were great and the bed was comfortable. The TV was small. The bathroom was also clean and fully stocked with towels. The towels were big, soft and clean. They provided coffee late at night in the lobby. It's located close to a Starbucks and many shopping areas as well as places to eat. Everything you would need is close by. We would stay here again. read more

The staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and the room itself was clean and comfortable. It's always nice to stay somewhere where you even see the GM hop in on the morning breakfast to help and make sure that his patrons are happy and well taken care of. In fact, I feel that's one of the things that impressed me most! I would even call it one of the highlights of my stay here! This was a really well kept hotel. It was in a great location. There were plenty of places to eat, and fill up on gas if you're on a road trip. The hotel room was clean, and the room was spacious. My friend and I were visiting for a wedding and we had a very pleasant and restful stay at this hotel. The hotel staff were also very responsive and helpful to us. My husband, daughter, and I all stayed at your hotel for a few days while visiting my grandfather for the holidays in New Bern. The hotel room was nicer and far more spacious than we expected it to be, and the entire hotel was nice and clean. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic and I was shocked that they had oat milk available! My daughter and I have a dairy allergy, which was very useful for us. I have other allergies as well, and the staff was helpful in getting allergy information for us for the breakfast options. The pool was nice and warm and we enjoyed using it while we were there. I loved that they had fresh towels available for us to use and wished I had known that before we came so we didn't have to pack our own. My parents and brothers also met up with us on the trip, but they stayed at another hotel nearby and wished they had booked the one we chose since our experience was much better. The only problem I had was the pillows. They were too squishy and didn't have any support to them at all. The fluff inside them went to the sides when I laid my head on them, effectively laying my head flat on the mattress, which wasn't comfortable. I did notice and appreciate that the room had actual curtains. For some reason, the last few hotels we've stayed at on trips have had fake curtains, or only sheers, which didn't provide privacy, and furthermore, would shine bright lights, especially from the parking lot or street lamps outside, which would keep us up at night and we couldn't sleep, but your hotel didn't have that problem and it was nice and dark in the room. Please never change that! Overall, this was a very positive experience, and from now on, when visiting New Bern and my grandpa, this will be our hotel of choice. read more

I checked into this hotel thinking I'd have a fair chance to rate it, but unfortunately I do not. A co-worker and I had booked this hotel for a business trip, and even though we were on the same reservation the hotel somehow overbooked itself and only had a room for my co-worker. They had made arrangements to book me at another hotel and covered the cost. I think they thought this was sufficient, however I did not like that they didn't bother to notify us when they knew they were overbooked. In addition, I was place at one of the worst rated hotels nearby. While the staff was super nice, I just wish they had notified us of this situation earlier instead of informing us when we checked in at 8pm...I could've at least tried to be placed at a decent hotel then. This hotel had a huge lobby, and I was very excited for all amenities they had available. While they did disappoint me previously, the hotel looked promising and I would consider staying here in the future if back in town. read more

I liked this place a lot. The front desk staff was very friendly especially the one girl (think her name was Courtney) who had me rolling in laughter. I enjoyed checking in due to her personality. The place was clean, decorated well and had a wonderful breakfast that came with it. Pricing was excellent, too. I thought the couch was uncomfortable in my room and the chair for the desk was terribly uncomfortable. The bed was great! The TV has smart TV options and the quality was great. The AC worked very well. The set up was a little strange with the bed facing right into a full body mirror and a kitchen immediately upon entering. All in all this is a great place to stay and will definitely be back. read more

Solid SpringHill Suites Hotel. I travel with my job, so I seek out the consistent properties. The two most important items: the bed with feather pillows and the water pressure in the shower. Both are consistently on point here! The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel rooms are relatively clean and well kept. The lobby and pool and multiple rooms are under construction. The construction trash and material was all over the floors and the noise was somewhat loud. Obviously with any construction project you will have noise, but I would recommend working on the project at night. All the staff were polite and very helpful. With the competition Hilton nearby I would step up the game. read more

Very clean hotel. The room was awesome. It had a little living room area and a small kitchen. The lobby was very inviting and had a very large dining area where free breakfast was served. Some foods been sitting on the floor outside my room for days now house keeping has come by every single day so far no ones even bothered to pick it up, also they're very unclear with the minimum age to check in my girlfriend and I have stayed here before and checked in with no issues, but not until this weekend do I come to check in no problems, but now my girlfriend needs to stay here an extra night because her flight isn't until the day after our original check out date so she goes to the desk to get an extra night BOOM lady tells her she can't let her stay because she's 19, ridiculous, kicking her to the curb with no where to stay in a state she's unfamiliar with read more

I stayed here over Thanksgiving with my husband and son, in a king suite with the sleeper couch. Everything was fine until it was time to put our 4 year old son to bed on the sleeper couch... When we pulled the couch out into a bed there was a "toy". I decided not to say anything until check out so that my son would not get suspicious and want to know what it was. The girl who checked me out seemed truly horrified by what I found but that's it, the manager never called or wrote or emailed, nothing. I would have appreciated at the least an apology from ANYONE but I got nothing at all. Other than that the stay was fine but they need to do a MUCH better job at cleaning and customer care. This was one of the lower quality Marriott's we've ever stayed in. Our booking was for a 3-night stay, while we visited relatives. The experience got off to a rough start. They tried to increase the price of the room $30 a night upon check-in. When I threatened to cancel, they honored the rate. The room layout was not what was pictured on the Marriott website (which I booked using my Marriott rewards account). The room was pretty dinghy and just didn't look up to the quality of our previous Marriott stays. The room had several minor issues (lighting fixtures with exposed wiring, toilet paper dispensers coming out of the wall). Housekeeping was also less than stellar. In 3 days, the linens on the pull out sofa were never changed (Even though we left them bunched up on the couch each day). Trash containers were not emptied on some days, and they never put a trash bag in the waste baskets (on any of the days). The bathroom cleaning job was also less than desirable. Normally, I would have pointed these things out to management, but we only slept in the hotel for about 6 or 7 hours each night. Next time we visit relatives in the area, we will book the Marriott in downtown New Bern and skip this particular one. read more
