Dr. Millington made it feel like our dog was loved and taken care of! Ashton, the vet tech was so amazing and gave our pup the most adorable bandages! They are extremely detail oriented and make things feel special. We moved here very recently and we're so sad we had to leave behind our vet back home thinking we would never find the down to earth people and vet we had. We were so wrong! Springs vet clinic is definitely somewhere we have now and will continue to recommended to everyone we know. They are understanding and will care for your pet and you through thick and thin. Granted it was only our first visit, but this will be our 4th vet since we got to Austin and I feel we have finally found our spot for the long run even though it's 35 mins away. Without a doubt a completely different vibe from the other places we have tried. One was dirty, another had no sense of how to build trust with a new animal, and the third told us today with complete indifference that they could only make room for us in three days when what we were describing was a potential emergency situation that they examined our dog and sent us home for just a few days ago. The office has a great feel to it, very clean, and the staff are super nice. They fit us in the same day we called even though they were busy. Unlike the other places, the Springs staff were very gentle with our dog. He's less than a year old and has yet to fully trust vets in general but was willing to go with them to the back for the examination. Afterwards, they were kind, patient and detail-oriented when explaining our options. I understand Austin is growing and that there will be pains as the city adapts to accommodate all the new people living here, but I think it's fair to expect people to be kind and understanding, especially in a medical situation when one wants to believe the office cares about you and your pet like family. Springs Veterinary Care is where we take our dogs and honestly they are by far one of the absolute best veterinary clinics I have ever been to. We have 2 dogs Adonis ( a 90lb American Bully and Mr Smallz a 12lb Brussels Griffon). Everyone at the clinic treated us and our dogs so special and the information they provided made us feel that we truly could trust them with our fur-babies. The biggest point I would like to make that truly illustrates the level of care and professionalism....they will not try to upset you ...if a vitamin can be purchased elsewhere for less...they will tell you...they genuinely want to know that your pet is properly being cared for! We love Springs. They put my dog down last year during quarantine and I wasn't even a customer yet. I had called multiple vets in the DS area and no one would see her, because she had still been seeing her vet in Austin and we hadn't started going to a vet in DS. I even called her Austin vet and they were too busy. Springs let me come in and love on her as long as I needed and gave me the options to keep her alive for a while and the price. I had been laid off due to Covid and am a single mom to two boys...I couldn't afford to keep her alive for maybe a few more months and her quality of life would not be what it had been due to the possible multiple health issues she had. I decided it was time to let her go. They could not have been sweeter. I now take my new puppy there. They are still doing curbside, which honestly, I prefer! Dr. Smith never makes you feel rushed and is very thorough with everything! Everyone is so friendly...the staff is great! From the time Phyllis answered the phone until we said goodbye to Dr East on Friday it was nothing but five star treatment for our very sick English bulldog Bo. We are new to DS & thankful we found this clinic for our most precious members of our family. They all truly cared for Bo & our concerns. He was a very sick "puppy" (10 yo EBD) with pneumonia. They also didn't insist that we take him to an overnight hospital. the doctor understands that animals do better at home when it is possible & medically advisable. We are thankful to have found this clinic. I have been to other vets, who have an attitude that they know everything and they have made mistakes in diagnosing our dogs (of course we did not go back). Let me start by saying I absolutely love Dr. Smith. She genuinely cares about her patients and their families. She takes plenty of time to talk and LISTEN to pet parents. We've been going to Springs for 2 yrs and until now, have been completely satisfied (5 starts for sure). However, lately not so much. Apparently a recent move made by Springs was to partner with Innovetive Petcare. I'm not sure to what degree Innovetive is involved in the practice, but it's clear that it involves staffing assistance. After my last visit (Jan 2021), I spoke with Dr. Smith. As part of her report, she said that my dog's teeth were fine but may need dental visit next year. The written report indicates that teeth are "Normal Condition". The next day I receive an email regarding the cost estimate I requested. I didn't request anything. However, the estimate was for a dental visit that would cost $300 - $500. I called. The person answering the phone told me that it was time for a dental visit. I told them I didn't request such a thing because according to the vet, it wasn't necessary at this time. She said that she must have looked at the wrong report. :( . Ok, I can get over that. On to my next experience. I get a prescription from 1-800-Petmeds. I have never in the past had a problem with them getting the prescription. This time... problem. I received a call from "Debra" who said she was calling from Springs. However, the caller ID said InnovetivePet. She left a message telling me that the prescription couldn't be approved until I talked to her. She did not leave a call back number, but said she would call again. Instead, I called Springs to find out that Debra does not work there. She helps remotely and Springs does not have a number for her... (what?). BUT, she knows that Debra is wanting me to buy meds from their pharmacy. Next day, Debra leaves another phone message without callback number, but says she will text me. I immediately receive a text addressing me by someone else's name. The author does not introduce themselves but talks about needing to talk to me before authorizing the prescription. During the exchange, I realize I am not communicating with Debra. Later on in the conversation, Debra steps in and lets me know that the platform is used by multiple people. I am totally confused but explain that I can get the meds at a lower cost from 1-800-Petmeds. Their next text says "****No Further Action is Required to Complete your Order with 1-800-PetMeds****". This morning I receive a text saying that they hope I understood their last text - that my prescription cannot be authorized until I follow steps at the link given. (huh? the last text said no further action required). I have been so frustrated lately, I will probably change vets for my pet's next annual physical. So sad, because I like Amanda Smith. Just can't get past the frustration caused by what I suspect is her new partnership with Innovetive Petcare. read more

First time visit with this clinic and was very happy to have tried them. I brought one of my cats in for an exam, he was lethargic and has lost weight. Dr. Smith was exceedingly thorough and went over in detail all she was doing and kept re-examining him till she felt she had a better understanding of what was going on with him. The overall visit lasted two hours and I felt she never rushed and was as concerned about my pet as much as we were. We left feeling that we found and excellent caring vet and that his care is in good hands. read more

One of the best vets I've been too. They treat my dog as if he is their own. I like how only one pet and owner is allowed in the waiting room then they move you to a room right away. The facility is really clean. There is attention to detail in everything they do. My dog does not enjoy the vet but Dr. Smith and Sydney make it less stressful and smooth for our dog. read more

I have 9 dogs My vet of many years retired so I decided to give this clinic a try. My dogs are all happy and healthy I just need to get their HW meds. I explained to the lady setting the appts up that my husband and I have been hit hard by Covid but the hw meds were a priotiy for us. I take the first 3 dogs in and the the young people came out. I was then told all dogs would have a physical exam I again explained to them I could not afford this with all 9 dogs at once. 9 dogs x exam ($52) + the HW test and then the meds. Well the attitude was too bad so sad. I am going to purchase from a reputable Canadian pet pharmacy. I hate to do this but I am backed into a corner. For those of you that may run into similar predicaments you might want to check them out. I did give them 1 star because the young people were very nice They were victims of the circumstances. My advice and opinion find another Vet. There are alot of them in Dripping and more coming. read more

I had seen the sign for this new Vet office in downtown Dripping, and had been wanting to give them a try since it is so close to my house. From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed and cared for by everyone. My kitten had an eye infection and Dr. Smith was so very attentive to both me and my kitten. She took time to talk with me, listen to me, and ask questions. I also appreciated that she was not pushy at all - very humble and willing to accommodate what I wanted for my kitty. I highly recommend. I will be going back to her for all my animals' health needs. read more
