Can't recommend West Lynn Veterinary Clinic enough! My friend suggested I bring my new rescue Goldendoodle/ Terrior Mix NOODLE to visit Dr. Angie and her team at WLVC when I adopted him in July 2022. While he's getting better with time, Noodle tends to be overly anxious at the Vet and highly afraid of new people. We just had our 2nd annual visit and there was definitely less barking involved which is just a testament to their gentle care. Upon their recommendations for medication before the appointment in combination with their overly friendly staff, techs and assistants MINE and NOODLE's anxiety subsided due to their excellent service. Really loved this clinic and truly value the staff they have their that helped me in more ways than one. They are in my neighborhood in Clarksville. I was unfortunately faced with the incredibly tough decision to put my best friend to sleep after 17 1/2 wonderful years. It was so hard and I've never had to do something like that before but they made the experience as peaceful and stress free as possible. I initially anticipated harsh florescent lights, a quick euthanasia and the room feeling very cold. Couldn't be further from the actual experience. Peaceful music playing with a grief care package, I got to hold my sweet baby until his very last moment, feed him chicken nuggets and stay with him for as long as I wanted after. Beyond grateful to the staff at West Lynn clinic. I've been a client here for more than 7 years. First, with my rescue dog who has since passed, and most recently with my new dog. Here are the reasons I am done being a client at West Lynn. 1. At my dog's 2-year check up, they told me his teeth looked great, and that I didn't need to schedule a dental cleaning for at least 6-12 months. I scheduled a cleaning recently, about 12 months after getting this advice. He had to have two teeth pulled. I strongly believe that had they cleaned his teeth as a two year old, this would have been completely avoided. 2. I do my best to be respectful of other people's time. I always show up early or on time, and will call ahead if something unforeseen arises. I was instructed to drop off my dog for surgery between 8 and 830. I arrived promptly at 8, and was the first person to check in with the front desk, where I was told that a tech would be out shortly to get my dog. I was left waiting more than 15 minutes. During that time, someone else arrived, checked in, and was escorted into the exam room by a tech. When I expressed my frustration, I was told that he had an appointment. Well, so did I - to drop off my dog. 3. Pickup was also a disrespectful waste of my time. I was told I could come get my dog any time after 1 p.m. Wanting to avoid any delay - since I went to get my dog in the middle of working hours - I waited until 2:30 to go pick him up, hoping that a little extra time would allow their office to be organized for his departure. Upon my arrival, the front desk informed me that there were some blanks on the invoice from the surgery, and that they'd need to wait for the doctor in order to figure out what they were. Then, when the tech came out to explain the post-surgery care instructions, there was no record of which teeth had been pulled, and she had to go back to figure it out. All told, what should have been a 5 minute pickup wasted 30 minutes of my day. 4. Finally, and most importantly, West Lynn received a payment from my pet insurance company TWO YEARS AGO and never told me. They cashed the check, never alerted me that it was received, and it wasn't until I made a claim for the dental work that I realized my pet insurance had paid out another claim in 2019. I then had to email West Lynn to confirm that they 1) had received it 2) never notified me about it and 3) never provided me a credit against any of my subsequent bills. I find this fundamentally unprofessional at best, and downright dishonest at worst. All the best staff and doctors are long gone. I have relished having a nice vet in my neighborhood, but now I'll go where I know my dog will receive better care AND I will be treated with courtesy and professionalism. read more

Updating my previous review to remove a star because the office manager replied to this review exposing publicly both my wife's and my full name using confidential information. Simply because we shared some tough opinions about her business. Unreal... Terrible customer experience, probably due to taking on too many clients. Here are the events that led me to dump West Lynn Vet and find a *MUCH* better service at BetterVet (they come to your home and do all your dogs at once). Issue number 1 with westlynn: they book far to many appointments per year for each animal this is to milk as much money out of you as possible. Other vets are way more efficient and see you once a year if you have no issues and your pet is normal healthy. I wouldn't mind the frequent appointments so much if their customer experience wasn't so atrocious. Issue 2: this is what lost as a customer after 4+ years of loyalty and many recommendations. I get a text a few hours prior to my regular scheduled appt "this is west Lynn let us know if you will be late to your appoint as there is other sick animals we can treat instead". Ok that is strange to get such a txt it read kind of rude to me like we have plenty in line so you better be on time. Made me feel not valued as a customer. So fast forward to appointment time and unfortunately I was late they told me I could come in but it would be a $40 late fee. I was between 30-40 min late to my appointment. After the combination of the rude txt before my appt and the late fee I just thought these guys do not make me feel like a valued customer I said I'm done. Bettervet.com was who we landed with total 360 degrees different experience. Prediction: the office manager Bali will chime in again to double down on her resistance to take feedback and try to argue or refute a customer holding them accountable. Look I feel for you, it's tough to receive criticism... maybe you will learn something from it? I recommend to stop taking new clients, do some employee training on communications and focus on turning your business around as you could potentially lose more customers. Had to wait two days to be seen and when I showed up to the appointment they had canceled the appointment because I hadn't confirmed. They wouldn't help squeeze him in or offer any solutions. I just want to say that Dr. Rodriguez at West Lynn Vet was amazing to our family this past year. She diagnosed a rare condition that had negatively altered our dog's behavior, demeanor, body and enjoyment of life. It had stumped two other vets and cost us a lot of money. They seemed to want to do endless tests and try endless things that never helped. Dr. Rodriguez took one look at her and knew. She seemingly miraculously gave us a lot of our old Sophie back. It was seriously was like living through one of the medical mystery stories in the New York Times Magazine. And sadly, just a few months after getting her (and us) some relief, she expertly guided me through the decision to let our dog go with kindness, knowledge, and sincere empathy. She stayed late to help us. And I'll never forget how she said sorry to Sophie and rubbed her paw before euthanizing her. What a doctor. I can't recommend her more. read more

My 20 year old cat is alive and happy today because of this vet clinic. They have taken such amazing care of her for the last four years. Yes they take COVID seriously and you can't go inside but I'm glad they do as that is how they've been able to keep their staff well and able to care for pets throughout the pandemic. West Lynn was amazing to my cat in her final week of life. I was incredibly unhappy with my cat Remi's previous vet clinic and her treatment there, so I took a chance and moved her to west lynn and I'm so glad I did. It's really hard to find GOOD CAT VETS in Austin. The vets here know cats and it shows. Remi wasn't doing well, and Dr. Ashbaugh was thorough and comforting when she delivered the devastating news that Remi wasn't going to recover. I made the hard decision to put her down, and they made the heartbreaking process as easy as it could possibly be, considering the earth-shattering circumstance. Dr. Whitworth was so gentle and loving with Remi, and the staff was wonderful and patient with me. I chose to bury Remi, but they also offer cremation. About a week after I lost my best friend, I received two cards in the mail. One was from a forest in Oregon telling me that the West Lynn Vet Clinic donated 5 trees to be planted in Remi's honor, and the second was a handwritten card from everyone at the clinic, even Dr. Ashbaugh and Dr. Whitworth, expressing their condolences to me. I feel so lucky to know Remi was surrounded by people that deeply care for ALL animals. Thank you guys for giving her the best care, it means more to me than words can express, or any review for that matter. This clinic cares--and in my opinion, very few things matter more than that. read more

Awful place!!! This vet made my beloved dog suffer needlessly! His last day was hell because of Dr Lu! She did not care about it! She ordered a shot that she said was a painkiller but it was not! Dr. Lu also charged us for a needless catheter that hurt his arm! She kept adding $40 charges just to get $$$. Whatever you do, don't take your pets here!!! They do not care about your pets! PLEASE re-consider before taking your pet here for pet care. We took our elderly cat in for a checkup 06/16/2021. The whole thing is just really weird. We were running a bit late and so we called to let the Vet know. She said if we were more than 15 mins late, we would have to cancel. We get there just in time to find the front door locked as they left US waiting in the heat. I had to knock really to get someone's attn as the door was locked. Finally, an assistant came out, got our cat and as we started to follow, were told we were not allowed in. No one was except the pet. We told them we were fully immunized and were wearing masks but she told me it didn't matter, it was protocol. It was suspicions...why would a vet make it so she doesn't have to see her patients and their owners? She also said, if THEY decided to put my cat down, only one person could go in. So she told us to sit in some chairs under an awning in front of the office in the heat with hundreds of mosquitos eating us alive. The Dr called when she had finished the exam . We never spoke to her face to face or saw her ...how weird is that? She wanted to do 100's for tests my cat did not need and when we wouldn't agree to that, then she started pushing euthanasia. This vet is ALL about $$$$ and I could not believe how they tried to gouge for $$$. The whole setup is just bizarre. Do yourself a favor...take your pet else where. This the worst experience I've ever had with a vet and I will NOT be going back, ever. read more

We have been satisfied customers of West Lynn Vet Clinic since moving to Austin and have always appreciated the quality care our puppy received. The hardest thing to do, to put an end to your pet's suffering, was made endurable by the staff at West Lynn. After surgery, chemotherapy treatment and much love, our dear puppy Zin was unable to fight cancer any longer. Dr. Whitworth and the team at West Lynn worked with us throughout the process of treatment to make it understandable for us and the least traumatic to our puppy. Reading the other two reviews for Dr. Lewis Hanks and the West Lynn Vet, I'm flabergasted at how completely opposite my experience was. Let me just say 1) I've never in my life had such a shockingly bad (and outright bizarre) experience with a vet, and 2) I've also never written a scathing review - I'm not someone who likes to rant online. I am writing this review only because I am so shaken by the experience and, as I frequently use yelp recommendations, I want others to have this information. My husband and I recently moved to Austin from Boston and we don't yet have a regular vet (when we adopted our dog from Cause for Paws they had recommended a vet that's way up north, which we've taken the dog and cats to for shots, and he was fine, but we were looking for a vet closer to downtown). Our neighbor recommended West Lynn Vet, so when I woke up yesterday morning to find blood in the stool of my 12-year-old cat, we decided to try it out. Like other reviewers said, the clinic is very nice and clean, the receptionist was friendly, and we were initially excited at the prospect of having a much more conveniently located vet. Tosca had gotten sick in her carrier during the car ride over and Dr. Hanks asked his assistant to take her into the other room and clean her up. Meanwhile he grilled us on all sorts of details - which I was fine with, because although his manner was very abrupt, he seemed to be asking thorough questions. However, a few minutes later he left to see what was taking the assistant so long, and this is when things got really strange. Dr. Hanks and the assistant came back into the exam room with the assistant holding Tosca by her throat with one hand, the other hand holding her paws tightly crossed across her chest. I have never seen my gentle, docile cat look so terrified. She wasn't struggling, but her eyes were huge and she looked utterly panicked. When the assistant put her down on the table she did struggle (weakly) to get free and she winced in pain, at which point I moved to try to comfort her. Dr. Hanks then became visibly aggitated, saying that he was NOT going to get bit and the cat would have to be held down; I suggested that I could hold her in a way that would calm her down but he said no, that was not going to work - and kept repeating adamently that he was not going to get bit. (Mind you, the cat had scarcely opened her mouth except to wince.) He went on to say that elderly cats tend to be arthritic which causes them to bite, and again, kept insisting that he was not going to get bit. It was truly surreal because the cat showed no evidence that she was going to bite anyone, only that she was in pain (the assistant was still gripping her by the throat with her front legs tightly crossed across her body, and Dr. Hanks was correct, she is arthritic and the assistant was clearly causing her pain). Dr. Hanks took a cursury look at her teeth - said they looked terrible - mentioned that she had old eyes, and then put her back in her carrier and said "I'm sorry, but I'm not going to do this. It sounds like your other vet is close to having this figured out and he's worked with the cat before, so I suggest you just keep going to him. I'm sorry I can't help you." I kid you not - he truly was that abrupt, and he actually turned us away. Didn't take blood samples, didn't examine her beyond looking at her teeth - basically wanted nothing to do with our cat. It was downright insulting. We left - confirming witht he receptionist that we would NOT be charged for this visit. And several hours later are still completely perplexed and stunned. Perhaps Dr. Hanks prefers working with dogs? Perhaps he had a bad day? Perhaps he has had bad experiences with older cats? Who knows. But based on my experience I think Dr. Hanks is in the wrong profession. Getting bitten should be the least of a vet's worries; and what's more, if you don't manhandle and abuse gentle animals, the chances of getting bitten are vastly reduced. No vet has ever been bitten by any cat I've ever owned. Very, very weird. Suffice to say we will not be going back to West Lynn Vet. Dr. Hardy at Best Vet is good - we would recommend him if you live up north. And since Tosca's issue still has not been diagnosed, we have made an appointment with Dr. Michael Mullen - who appears to be very well reviewed, and who makes house calls, alleviating some of the stress for our cat. read more

Easily the worst veterinary experience we've EVER had, and like others have expressed, I wish I had read the reviews here prior to subjecting my cat to what appeared to be a very traumatic experience for her. I cried as soon as we made it out to the car, and the $500 bill wasn't the half of it. Not only was my cat handled in a manner that seemed excessively forceful, Dr. Hanks appeared to absorb nothing I expressed to him, much in the manner of a robot trying to push me down the assembly line with his generic and unwise, according to most other veterinary sources I've consulted, dietary product endorsements (conveniently sold at his office). But regardless I do find it very tactless and indicative of your business practices that you would comment so specifically on a financial matter. BUT since you have, I will one up you and provide the actual facts. Yes, Laurie wasn't 100% accurate but her point on cost was dead on -- West Lynn is extremely overpriced especially for the service you get. 8/1/05: Our dog was X-rayed for a total cost of $821. I can't remember exactly why but it was stomach and hips -- but it was no emergency. No, the entire bill was not for the X-rays. Some was sedative, some was blood testing. 4/14/04: $428 to clean teeth and remove one skin tag. 5/20/03: $489 to clean teeth and remove two skin tags. Etc etc. We have been impressed with Brykerwoods not only because they are affordable, but because we believe they honestly care about our dog. They have done each of the procedures above on our dog at less than half the cost (I have the receipts too to prove it). But we will save that for their review. It is very fair to say that Dr. Hanks is more than competent as a vet. But it always felt like a business and / or lab to us than a doctors office where patients come first. read more

Dr. Faludi (along with her co-owner, Dr. Whitworth), are so very kind and caring and I trust them implicitly with the care of our dog. We adopted him recently, and like most pound pups, he has had a few issues to get over in his first month with us. Dr. Faludi, and the entire staff at West Lynn Vet, have been so wonderful. I can't say enough in terms of their kindness and quality of care: phone calls, follow-up phone calls, compassion, level of knowledge, taking time to ensure you and the pup are comfortable, etc.. Please, please, please do not take your cat here. As Dennis F said, this place might be fine for dogs, but when I took my cat here, she was terrified. Dr. Hanks acted afraid of cats and would not go near the cat without a vet tech holding her. In fact, the cat was not allowed in the room, without being held. Most vets let cats wander a bit to get comfortable. The vet tech manhandled my cat and she was shrieking and panicking. She was making horrible, fearful noises that I have never heard her make. When they took her to the back to check her out, I was actually afraid for her! The vet would not let us touch her to comfort her because we may sue him, if our cat bit us. I only went here once and won't be going back. I do not trust the vet at all. He wanted to do surgery on my dog's knees, both of them eventually. I have a breed of dog that has "funny knees" that she has had since a puppy. She has never had a problem, never appeared in pain, and has no problems walking. Her previous vet (in another city) of 4 years, always mentioned her knees, but did not recommend surgery unless she appeared in pain. I am also a physician, and I know in HUMANS, you don't do knee surgery unless there is pain. She appeared happy, comfortable, playful - but I think the vet was thinking more about the $800 per knee fee than my dog's well being. I am NOT putting my dog at risk of surgery and anesthesia if she does not need it. He then tried to foist some very expensive prescription food on me, which she does not need (she has no allergies, no dermatitis, no nutritional or gastrointestinal problems.) In addition, he insulted me and my profession. I wonder if he has a chip on his shoulder because he only got into vet school and really wanted to treat humans. read more

Very nice staff. It is evident they care a lot, however that does not change the fact that I no longer have my Pug after getting his teeth cleaned here. I was a new patient. This was my second appointment with the West Lynn team including getting his teeth cleaned and a few teeth extracted (which I regret scheduling to this day). Both of my dogs had gone under anesthesia before at other vets and had teeth extracted with zero problems. He also had a clean bill of health when we dropped him off. While under anesthesia, his stomach acid built up and there was permanent damage three areas on his throat (called stricture) eventually making it imposible for him to swallow. It took several weeks for the team to determine what was going on. When our issues persisted and health of our dog reduced significantly, West Lynn sent us to a specialist (http://www.ctvsh.com/). At the consultation of a specialist, we underwent a procedure to try to fix his esophagus. It surprised the specialist that there were three areas of damage to his esophagus when one stricture would be bad enough. It was eventually determined that we put our beloved Pug down as he couldn't eat / was choking around the clock and the likelihood of him ever recovering (with many procedures) was low (specialist's words - not mine). Maybe our scenario was a mix of bad variables and bad luck. The more I read about teeth cleaning and administering anesthesia to pets, there is a lot of risk involved that pet owners aren't necessarily aware of. I will say they treated us well, and went above and beyond to try to make the situation right. But story above is still our experience here, thus making it impossible for me to recommend sending someone to West Lynn let alone go back with our other pet. And to be clear, my experience happened between November 2012 - January 2013 under the new ownership with Dr. Faludi and Dr. Whitworth. read more

My wife and I had recently been looking around to find a good local vet for our cat Yoshi. We were not happy with our previous vet on Lake Austin Blvd because the facilities were old, outdated and plain dirty. Yoshi also hated it there and would freak out whenever we brought him in. So it was clear we needed a change. I never thought I would get so excited about finding a good vet clinic but hey-- it happened. Happy to recommend West Lynn Vet Clinic, Dr. Lewis Hanks, DVM From the minute you pull into the parking lot, you get the feeling you are in for a good experience. The receptionist greets you with a smile and is sensitive to your pets needs and your schedule. Waiting room had ample space, was extremely clean and if not for the occasional bark or meow, you would think you were at a human doctor's office. Dr Hanks and his assistants were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about our pet. They were very gentle and skilled in handling Yoshi and you could tell that folks there love what they do. Overall, a great experience and our cat will be in good hands for a long time. Hopefully all pets can be as lucky as our Yoshi. Meow! read more

Dr. Whitworth is awesome! I was referred to this clinic because my vet was moving his office and wasn't available when my cat got sick. Dr. Whitworth made sure I got in right away and the meds she prescribed totally did the trick. She could have recommended getting an x-ray but because that didn't seem necessary, she didn't (and that saved me money). Her staff is also super nice and helpful. I highly recommend this clinic. PS. When I first researched the clinic I saw low ratings and got scared but then saw they were given to the previous owners. read more

We started here with our 8 year old dog, but woofed up in life and made our way to Brykerwoods Vet over the years and could not be happier about the switch. We gave Dr. Hanks a try, but after literally spending THOUSANDS on X-Rays and appts ( for a dog that wasn't experiencing MAJOR problems, but they'd have you believe he was dying!) we asked around and moved practices. He also is part of the TAMU teaching program so likes to show off his stuff to students. One of the things that really turned us off was that he literally tied my dog's schnoz shut with a rope and if you've ever met my dog, you'd know that wasn't necessary. I was a new dog owner at the time, but I would never put up with the crap they pulled now. Brykerwoods is the way to go. They are much more reasonable with the cost of things and I think every doc there has an amazing bedside manner. Especially Dr. Healy who my dog has been crushing on for several years now. read more

I REALLY liked the vet, Dr. Whitworth. My cat was diagnosed with a heart murmur and, of course, I had a lot of concerns and questions. The vet took a lot of time answering my questions and had a sweet demeanor. However, I had a lot of problems with follow-up communication when I tried to schedule an echocardiogram for my cat. They are disorganized and made lots of excuses (computer glitches, new staff, too busy). I am disappointed in their lack of professionalism and dismissive way they spoke with me on the phone. Hopefully they can get their ducks in a row because the vet herself was really good. read more

I had previously gone to West Lynn for vet care when I first moved to Austin and had a very similar experience to many of the reviewers on the site and vowed not to return. When I heard that they had new ownership and my border collie, Sadie started having severe hip problems, I decided to give it another try. Like most pet owners I am very protective of my dogs and the kind of care they receive and some might even say that I am a little overprotective...but hey...they are like my children. Anyways, when we arrived we had a very short wait and were quickly seen by the vet tech and then the doctor. Dr. Debbie Faludi was awesome and she gave Saddie the kind of treatment that a caring pediatrician would give a child. She was gentle with Sadie, quickly identified the problem and gave us a thorough explanation and options for treatment. I was also pleased that her recommendation was not necessarily the most expensive, but was more concerned with treating her furry patient in the way that she would treat her own pet. I can't say enough good things about our experience there and hope that others are willing to give West Lynn Vet another try!! read more

Like the previous reviewer said, disregard all reviews previous to 2012! I'm not sure why this business doesn't get a fresh slate on Yelp for its wonderful new owners, but it is definitely a five star kind of place. A friend who is a home visiting vet recommended West Lynn when I asked him about a minor surgery for one of our dogs. From the start of the process, everyone at West Lynn was very patient and supportive of both him and us as owners. Our dog has some lingering aggression issues that come into play at the vet, and previous vets have not dealt well with him. But one of the technicians at West Lynn, was able to form a bond with him, overcome his aggression, get things done, and then talked with us about how to address his issues at home. As the dog healed, I can't count how many conversations I had with both doctors and support staff that made me feel like they really cared about our dog and did the best for him. They answered all my questions and continued to invite more. The surgery itself worked out and healed well, all for a reasonable cost with lots of extra support. I really emphatically recommend West Lynn. Not sure my dog would say the same, but he doesn't know what's best for him, and also he can't talk. read more

The staff are awesome with my dog, she LOVES going to the vet now, where as she was always a bit anxious at my last location. The vet's seem to know their stuff. I've only had routine checkups for my 4 year old beagle, but it's been fairly priced and the service and staff were very easy to get along with. I've used their boarding service several times as well while on trips out of town. First time was for 5 days, second time was for 3. Both times my dog was great when I picked her up, she'd spent a lot of her days hanging out with the receptionist greeting people and playing with another dog also being kept there! She's still super excited every time we go, so I think she's pretty well taken care of here. I'd definitely recommend giving them a try! read more

West Lynn vet is absolutely awesome. The staff is so friendly, and my dog Layla loves it there! She had to have a little surgery, and they took the best care of her and called me the next day to follow up and check up on her. I felt very comfortable having her in their care, and I would highly recommend them! We have definitely found Layla's new Austin vet! :) read more

I wanted to reconfirm an earlier post that West Lynn Vet is under new management as of 2012 and is wonderful! When we heard the office was under new ownership by Drs. Faludi and Whitworth, my husband and I decided to give them a try (we had been once under the previous vet and were definitely not satisfied!!). We live in the neighborhood and the office is very convenient. We started with some simple needs - refill on my dog's medicine, flea and heart treatment, and the like. We were impressed with the friendliness and thoroughness of the doctors, and how professional and friendly the techs and front office staff was. They didn't try to sell me on unnecessary meds and in fact suggested low-cost, holistic solutions to GI troubles. Fast forward several months when my dog began having significant health issues, leading to a cancer diagnosis. Everyone at West Lynn Vet helped keep my dog as healthy and comfortable for as long as possible - they treated my dog as one of their own (and in fact, he would just hang out with the staff like their own dog on days when he needed a medical procedure). When the end recently came, we couldn't have asked for a more professional, caring, and comfortable experience. The staff was respectful of our need to spend as much time with our dog of 12 years, and Dr. Whitworth undertook what needed to be done with the caring of someone who loves animals. Honestly, I cannot imagine what else they could have done to make my dog's passing any easier. We will bring any future dogs to Drs. Faludi and Whitworth and know that they will be in great hands. I have been visiting West Lynn Veterinary Clinic after we got two cocker spaniel puppies - the first in December 2002, then second in April 2003. This is when Doctor Lewis Hanks owned the franchise. I can say nothing negative about Dr. Hanks. He was a great vet, and if anything he CARED about EVERY animal that came into his practice. Yes - he had a strong personality, which many 'soft' natured people might've taken for harshness or coldness, which I understand. Dr. Hanks was a very direct person, just like many a good pediatrician is to parents with young children. 'Cut to the chase' is how I like my doctors, and doctor Hanks was like this. We have choices in what services that WE choose for our animals! If you didn't like him, that's okay. Unfortunately, sometimes - regardless of who is the vet, or what style of doctoring they practice towards our pets, bad things we never want to happen, do! Even with human care, this is a fact. I'm sorry! That's life. So, when Doctor Hanks sold the Veterinary practice to Drs. Debbie Faludi & Angie Whitworth (late 2011/early 2012), and the entire staff changed along with their arrival, I had doubts WLVC would be as good as it was in the past. Happily, my beloved Jetson & Daphne loved them both, just the same! When Jetson suddenly got liver cancer, in June, 2012, he was humanely euthanized to end his suffering. My partner and I were devastated! Throughout all of this trauma and sadness, Dr. Hanks - now traveling on sabbatical, throughout Louisiana, took the time to call us from the HIGHWAY while DRIVING, and to reassure us that we had always done the best for our cocker spaniels - especially Jetson. West Lynn Veterinary Clinic new-owners, Drs. Faludi and Whitworth took the time to send us condolences, and to (as I recall) let us know that they would volunteer/ donate services towards canine care for a family who couldn't afford to pay for services for their dog, all in honor of Jetson. In both instances of ownership at West Lynn Veterinary Clinic - the highest level of compassion and professionalism was shown! This was and is always!! Jetson's successor, 'Chipper' [June 2012], and another red cocker spaniel that we adopted, 'Buck Owens' [July 2012], along with good 'ol Daphne, continue to visit West Lynn Veterinary Clinic . West Lynn has cycled through new staff members, and there are teething pains with new people. Regardless, I think that they're the best in Austin. ...Most definitely the best for our three cocker spaniels! read more

I am updating my review because Dr. Faludi called today to discuss the miscommunication with Dr. Crawford. She apologized and said maybe the tech was too eager to get a diagnosis by swabbing my dog's ears before Dr. Crawford examined them. She seemed genuinely concerned. read more
