I've never been to sprinkle donuts until one Saturday some friends of ours wanted to stop in since we were in the neighborhood. I like fritters so I compare other fritters I must say they have some pretty darn good fritters. Yummmmmmmy! I have even told people about sprinkle donuts since our visit. Came in a little bit earlier this time around! There were a decent amount of Donuts available, so of course I had to get a few different ones. The service was good. The location was quiet and clean. I will definitely be coming back to try more donuts. read more

I stop my Sprinkle donuts somewhat because it's on my way into work. I think I would probably rate it 3.5 stars if I could but I'll round up. The store is easy to spot as you're driving along McCarran and there's convenient parking outside. It's probably an average size inside, there are tables where you can sit and eat, and the checkout counter is convenient to the entrance. The donuts they have are good, but I find the half dozen to be expensive. They also do not have chocolate flavored donut holes which annoys me to no end when I'm trying to get a variety box for work (they only have two flavors, glazed and cinnamon sugar I think). The staff is very friendly though, I've always had a good experience with them and they always have a positive attitude. read more

We came in the morning and the service was amazing. She greeted me and was super kind. She was also very quick. I'll be buying doughnuts here for my coworkers for sure. I saw some of the other reviews because I was confused on the overall rating. Then I realized some of the concerns is that maybe no one knows they are here. Causing the pitential staleness in the doughnuts. They may sit longer rather than baking fresh ones through out the day. As this used to be a different coffee shop. We had a fresh batch and our kiddos enjoyed it. The price was good and the sugar levels was about the same as other doughnuts. Our family will be going here more often. Also there was some regulars sitting there in the morning enjoying a doughnut and a cup of coffee. It was pretty slow. So if we get more awesome people to come here amd realize how amazing it is. We should have minimized the doughnuts sitting here. Being co.oared to doughboy that has a lot of clients coming in is kind of hard. Maybe have more promotions to help that. Even maybe community events with this area in general as they do have a lot of businesses I have not even gone too. read more

Being new to Reno and a big donut fan, I asked around for recommendations and kept hearing about Doughboy. While they were good, they didn't quite wow me. On my own, I ended up discovering Sprinkle Donut and this was exactly what I had been searching for! They have such a huge variety of both raised and cake donuts, plus different kinds of fritters and even kolaches. Everything looked fresh and there were so many options to choose from. I've driven by the place so many times and never really stopped by. Well the times I did stop by, they were closed. However, today we decided to give them a try since Doughboys has let my kid and me down recently with their shortage of donuts. We were greeted as we came in and there was no line. It looked like they had a good selection of donuts in their case. I had my kid give a good look at them and pick some out. They guy behind the counter put the donuts in a bag and we were on our way. My kid liked them and ate them. I found the donuts to be a the dryer/ stale side. Not sure if they made them a couple days ago but they were OK. They weren't bad but they weren't, "I gotta get me some Sprinkle donuts", good. I would stop in again if I'm in the area. Just wished they were open later. read more

5/6/23 So a few us stopped by to have some donuts with friends and fam ! Right out the gate - Tawa i hope spelling right , owner was amazing and Mom, sorry didn't get name. Service was excellent. We asked about the coffee roaster. She said it does still work, and it was from the previous owners who left it there for them , they do not use it due to no time roasting beans for coffee but it is a very cool piece. Really adds to the place . they have a great little coffee station as well as seen in pic. That ambience is great. It's not a very large donut place, but two booth tables and some bar window seating. The bathroom i was told by friend was immaculately clean . Thats always nice because some places don't keep up.. Plenty of selection of donuts, great prices and of course the super large donut which is amazing if you want to split with somebody . I had to Maple Bavarian cream filled, and I left a review for another place before , my biggest stipulation on these, as they are sometimes not filled good enough, and as you can see from my pictures, this had plenty of filling, and I was highly satisfied, and the donut was excellent. My wife had the long burrito donut i guess apple , she said it was good. My son had an maple glazed old fashion and he enjoyed . Some of the friends had some coffee as well and was good. The team member this morning 9/1/24 was very good. He was Fun to talk to , helpful with my order and suggestions on what to get for the order for my work team. Was my first time going in. Doughnuts are good nothing special just good old fashion doughnuts. I do think they are smaller than other places yet still good. Selection is kinda small but fair prices. We've been to the Sprinkles on Keystone and found it similar, but less expensive, than Doughboys. If this was our first experience with Sprinkles, we wouldn't go back. Instead, we will just not go back to this location. The woman who waited on us was very nice. I got a jelly filled glazed, my husband a chocolate old fashioned. Both were quite stale. They tasted like day-old. We were very disappointed. read more

I don't know what it is, but I just love the donut holes here! I think there must be other customers who feel the same, because there are several days, when they are sold out, even when we get here early! I also enjoy the cake donut with the maple and peanuts! The donuts aren't greasy, and there are many varieties. The baker knows us by now and is quick in helping us. It's clean, and their coffee is perfectly fresh and hot! As you can see how many check ins I have here, you can tell I'm a big customer! Haven't tried the other locations, but of course I'll be posting when I do. read more

First impressions-I thought they would have more variety and/or specialty donuts. The variety was basic, prices are good, and donuts tasted good. I've been twice. They aren't anything crazy like voodoo in portland. But they are good quality donuts at a reasonable price. They always have ones with sprinkles. I think you probably could get an entire dozen of different kinds of donuts with sprinkles. I wonder why? lol But the cake donuts are cakey. The risen donuts are fluffy. The maple bars are mapley. The crullers are some of the best I have had in Reno. I haven't yet been able to try the holes or the specialty donuts. I really can't eat all these carbs and sugar often. And yet I still do bring them to work to share with my co-workers every once in awhile. So, during the week they open at 5 AM and they are on the way to work, so that makes them awesomer than awesome. I look forward to trying some more in the future. read more

Meh. I've been trying to find what I consider the beat donut in Reno. This isn't it. I got a strawberry nut cake donut that tasted so artificial it was off putting. A classic glazed which was just ok and a blueberry jelly filled which was the best out of the 3. If you're looking for a simple classic donut shop, Doughboys is your place. It's just as cheap but there donuts taste a bit better and seem fresher. If you're looking for fancy donuts, Holey Schmidt's is my recommendation for Reno. Overall, not a great donut game in this town. read more

Sprinkle donuts is located in the Raleys shopping plaza on Mira Loma. The is our goto for donuts because they are located close to our house and are really good. They always have a good selection of donuts and tasty! Love their cake donuts best, they are a little crispy on the outside and super soft inside. Just perfect. "Waste of a refeed day" - my fiancé on an eating plan. We got a half-dozen and a fritter. All the donuts - buttermilk, cake, cruller, filled - lacked taste and freshness. We threw most out after a couple bites. The fritter was acceptable but not worth going there for if other options are available. Also weird, we showed up around 12pm, they don't close until 8pm. They still had loads of donuts but as soon as we walked out to our car they put up a hand written note on the door "closed: out of donuts." Sketch. read more

The shop itself is super modest and low key, but they serve what I think are honestly the best donuts in Reno, better than doughboys for sure. I don't know why, but for some reason I had it in my head that the donuts here wouldn't be good. I was very wrong. I bought a couple dozen here for my guys at work, and they were exceptional. I love donuts but I have struggled to find a regular ole donut that I love in Reno/Sparks. I'm a fan of chocolate bars and sugar donuts - super simple - but what it really comes down to for me is texture. My favorite place back home had the perfect balance of the fried outer dough and soft insides. I think I've finally found that at Sprinkle Donuts. They are the same owner as Donut Bistro in Sparks, which I haven't been to in ages. I came in around 11am on a weekday and was pleasantly surprised that the donut case was still well stocked. The employee behind the counter was super friendly and took a few minutes to chat with me about the store since I was the only one there. I left happy with my donuts and while I couldn't wait to dig in, I have a little donut hack that makes them taste even better on the go. The thin paper bag with the donut inside goes on top of my dash and I harness the power of the sun to warm it up a bit. Makes it taste like it just came out of the kitchen!! This is a new find for me. I did a yelp search and found this when looking for donuts. There is another donut shop in South Town Crossing that has excellent Apple Fritters, but this shop has very good but different Apple and other fritters, and they also have good donuts. Sometimes, I just want a good donut while getting fritters for my wife. This place fills the bill. The prices are good, not cheap but not unreasonable for what you get. The location is a little longer drive for me, but I do it because of the better donuts and the convenient service. The service is really good and they are willing to help suggest. I go here regularly lately and have been pleased every time. read more

I shouldn't...but I love donuts. Living out in Spanish Springs, our choices are somewhat limited to grocery stores (yuk!) and the one chain we have out there. It's good. But Sprinkle??? THE BEST!!! I'm sitting here finishing a donut I bought there TWO DAYS AGO and it's still super fresh, super yummy and making my tummy super happy! I went on Saturday around 11 so the selection wasn't superb but I expected. The guy working didn't acknowledge me when I walked in and spent a little bit longer chatting with some customers who were seated than he should have but again, no big deal - it gave me a few minutes to look over the selection. I was so excited that this place opened near my neighborhood. It is in the old location of the Kona Coffee place next to the 7/11 on Mira Loma and McCarran. The decor is very clean. The staff were nice and helpful. The donuts are your average donut shop donuts. We got a maple bar and an apple fritter. Both were very light and not heavy. Good flavor. I really liked the apple fritter. The coffee was good. It is a small shop but I think that it is perfect for that neighborhood. Next time I will need to walk/run around the park and then stop in for a donut. read more

As I walk into the neighborhood Sprinkle Donuts, you can't help but to smell the welcoming aroma of freshly cooked donuts. The decor of the establishment and music is very appealing and while the customer service is very good, I can't help but to allow the coffee to disappoint. Although the coffee is watered down, I realize that it's not a coffee shop, it's a donut shop. That being said, their donuts aren't the best in town in my opinion but they appear to stay busy so many may not share my opinion. Would they get my vote for best donut? Probably not. Best little local donut shop. I do try to go no later than mid-morning especially on weekends because they do get hit up pretty hard. I find these donuts much consistently better than other chain donut shops. My father loves their plain cakes and the hubby loves the plain old fashioned. Mom is a fan of the apple fritters and I love anything with chocolate and their chocolate frosting has plenty of chocolate flavor. Employees always helpful and friendly. I've been there twice, but after today I'm only going back once more--for a REFUND. Previous apple fritter was good, but blueberry fritter today was TERRIBLE. There was a faint blueberry flavor the first two bites, then NOTHING but dough. I tore the whole thing apart and couldn't find a single blueberry. I tried to call and warn them to throw out any remaining fritters, but there is no phone number printed on their receipts, their listed phone number for the S. McCarran store is "disconnected, or is no longer in service," and the phone number for their Keystone Ave location went directly to voice mail when I called during business hours. Per a July 9, 2019, RGJ article about the 3304 S. McCarran location, "The shop's business license listing indicates JTA Reno Investment is the corporate name. Public records list Bunthin Chheth as president of JTA and Bunhak Chheth as the managing member of the LLC for the Keystone Sprinkle Donuts." Brothers who own the two shops? I dunno, but I plan to avoid both stores. read more
