This is a cute little shop in a little strip of other random places -- I'm not native to San Antonio and am unfamiliar with the area. They have new treats every week based on popularity or season/holidays or whatever is just being made that week. I got the game day cookie for Super Bowl which was filled with a bunch of random stuff like chocolate chips and butterfinger and pretzels and potato chips and m&ms and then a vanilla bean scone. It totaled $10, pretty typical for gluten free (more expensive side). I had the scone that day, it has slight crunch on the outside and fluffy on the inside and wasn't too sweet. It was huge and I greatly enjoyed it and isn't something I could replicate on my own. The cookie I was hesitant to get at first because I can make my own cookies but this was unique and the other items didn't pique my interest as much. I had this the next day and split it with my family. Warmed it up and definitely better warmed up - gooey on the inside, cooked well on the outside, nice combo of flavors although the sweet definitely overpowered any saltiness. Family liked it! I dropped by today as part of my visit to San Antonio. Sprinkles and spoons is a must! The almond croissant cookie was a nice little treat that I enjoyed. But honestly the real gem is the biscuit. I am writing this review about 12 hrs after purchasing these treats. While I eat "just one more nibble" of the biscuit (at 10:30pm). It is dense as a biscuit should be, however it almost feels like a pound cake with a decadent crust. The texture is amazing. The flavor is amazing. This is just all around a wonderful treat. Please also note. Sprinkles and spoons does not serve coffee. So, plan on bringing your own or take your cookie to the park and get a lemonade like I did. read more

This is heaven for celiac / gluten intolerance people! There is no cross contamination worries. Everything is 100% gluten free. This is my second time being here. Now they have a shelf with other gluten free snacks you can purchase. Sometimes they also have a mystery box of goodies. Everything is freshly made but ever week their menu is different so if you see something you like don't wait to try it. I got a pecan concha , a churro bar and a honey buttery biscuit. So far I've only tried the churro bar and it's delicious. It has different layers of a crumble, chocolate, pastier and a drizzle. I have previously tried their pop tarts and they're to die for! Pop them in the microwave for a few seconds and you're good to go. They also do well if you freeze them for later Edit- just had the biscuits. Stock up! They're soooo good. I absolutely love love love Sprinkles and Spoons. It's always so delicious. My non-gf husband always tries to eat my treats from there! Now that they have lunch options during the week, I've stopped in a few times to grab a sandwich. This time, I got a roast beef sandwich. I wasn't planning on eating it all, but I did and felt so full afterwards but so satisfied. The staff is always very nice and welcoming. The only thing I've had an issue with is the buttercream - I feel like it could use more mixing to add more air into the frosting. As it is now, it's incredibly dense and tastes too buttery and not sweet enough. Maybe it's just a preference thing. read more

I preordered thanksgiving biscuits & desserts from this little bakery. The service was flawless I had no issue and the bakery staff were all nice. The bakery is small and cute. Has a nice ambiance for sure. I enjoyed the desserts and so did my family. I really loved the cheesecake bars & my family devoured the macaroons. I've been wanting to check out this place and finally had the opportunity to do so. I was the only customer then a flood of people lined up. Apparently, every Saturday they offer a special and it was conchas. I decided to pass that up and went for the honey butter biscuit, lemon meringue macaron and a strawberry poptart. I literally sat in my car stuffing my face. If there were 2 poptarts I would have purchased both. They taste 100% better than a non- gluten free one. I was skeptical about the macaron because I'm not a fan, but my daughter said it was delicious and she was right. It may the creamy filling, but again tasted way better than a regular. The honey butter biscuit would probably have been better if it were fresh out the oven. Heating it up later made it dry. You have to be careful with gluten free baked goods because they tend to break up or it's undesirable dry. I will make it a point to go out that way when they are open. read more

I absolutely love this bakery they make my little celiac self happy The first time I've had a concha since I was diagnosed back in 2016. The flavor is spot on! Everything just makes me feel so nostalgic and seen. I absolutely loveeee the biscuits and scones. There has never been a treat that I have purchased from them that I haven't deeply enjoyed. I'm now moving away, but this will be the gluten free spot I will miss the most !! You can really tell how much Amber and the team care for the products they put out, and the amount of love seeped into the shop. I was planning a baby shower for a friend who is gluten intolerant and I was told Sprinkles+Spoons was the place to go for custom GF baked goods! I ordered 2 dozen custom cupcakes about 6 weeks in advance and sent a photo of the baby shower invitation as a design reference. We did lemon cupcakes with lemon curd filling and vanilla buttercream. They turned out so beautifully! The ordering process was simple and pickup the day of was easy. The team even worked with me for an earlier than usual pickup time because the shower was earlier in the day. The shop is small and it's amazing that they have such a big selection every day! I picked up about 4 other goodies with my order just because I needed to try some more things! I have eaten A LOT of gluten free sweets over the years, and these were truly some of the best! It can be hard out here for a gluten intolerant lover of sweets. Pickings can be slim and flavor and texture are often hit-or-miss. Sprinkles and Spoons delivers on all fronts. Now I haven't visited this wonderful establishment in person yet, but if the taste of the macarons and cupcakes my coworkers got for me are any indication...I'm prepared to be blown away. I work with a great team who wanted to get me treats for my birthday. One of them, remembering my GF dietary needs, suggested Sprinkles and Spoons. My child ate a cream cheese pop tart but I'm guessing was sitting out longer than safe bc he immediately had a stomach ache and diarrhea. I make my own gf baked goods and was shocked at the prices. I have celiac, and my mom ordered me a lemon cake from Sprinkles and Spoons for my birthday so I could try them out. Absolutely phenomenal!
