Go-to bakery for Mexican sweet breads, cookies, cakes and biscuits. They specialize in traditional Mexican Pan Dulce, along with some original goodies. Affordable in some cases, it does get pricey, when buying some of the more holiday typical offerings. We come here weekly to get their biscuits, which are more Mexican style and delicious. Love their polvorones (cookies) too. Great location, good people and service. Nice place.

A historic Mexican bread bakery that has been in operation for 60 years! Was not sure what to order my first time here, but the staff was more than helpful! There are just so many choices to pick from. The Pan Dulce options include: sweet potato empandas, Pink Cake, and conchas. Pick whatever you think looks good and you won't regret it. I choose the sweet potato empanada, the gingerbread pig, and the Mexican wedding cookies. All were delicious. Different than what you'd taste in a normal doughnut shop but so many fun flavors to experience and try. If you're interested in trying a Mexican bread bakery, why not choose from the best at Bedoy's!

Bedoy's is an iconic name in brown San Antonio, i.e. la raza lol. They have a classic selection of Mexican style pastries and sweets. I arrived right before closing tonight to find a young lady cleaning in the back but dutifully donning her apron to come wait on me when she heard the bell. You can tell they had a busy day because alot of the inventory was wiped out but there was still enough to choose from. Maranitos (gingerbread pigs), empanadas (turnovers with filling, usually pumpkin), piedras (sweet pastry made like a drop biscuit), and polvorones (large sugar cookies) are among my faves. My most favorite (but they run out alot so I don't always find) are the Mexican biscuits. I warm them in the micro and put some butter and rasberry jam and I am in heaven!

I've been wanting to give this bakery a try when I was visiting San Antonio. Finally stopped by today to check it out. There was a small line to get in due to Covid restrictions and how many customers (7) are allowed in at one time. They have a much wider selection of treats than I thought and I was able to come home with a few. Unfortunately, none of it's labeled, and as a "gringo", I don't know most of the items. I originally went in looking to find bolillos that were similar to those of my youth when my mother would go shopping somewhere in San Antonio. These bolillos were OK and very simple. However, at 4 for $1 --they are quite good!

There is also a good selection of drinks as well. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, it makes the experience even that much better. I also got the opportunity to try the mango matcha refresher and OMG, it was so good and refreshing, especially during a hot texas summer. I look forward to coming back here and trying more things on their menu. I came as a part of yelp's hot matcha summer series, and I am beyond grateful to have been invited out here!

My wife and I also purchased the Captain Crunch donut to try. Since we visited about an hour before closing, it seemed like the staff was starting to wind down for the day. The matcha drink was definitely the highlight of the visit and had great flavor. Unfortunately, both donuts were cold and seemed a bit stale, which was disappointing. Overall, it was an average experience for me. I'd recommend visiting earlier in the day for the freshest donuts, and the matcha drink was worth trying.

This was a recommendation from our tour guide while on a trolley tour and boy was he spot on!…read more The shop is clean and to the point. It advertises its doughnuts in a few revolving glass tower. Not all look appetizing tbh because they are huge and display only BUTTTTTT I ordered an ugly one lol and I wish I had gotten two! I ordered a banana chocolate caramel and peanut doughnut. It was HUGE! Big as my head The flavor and textures were nothingggggg like I've ever tasted. It wasn't heavy and cake like. It almost favored a croissant but with more depth. The banana flavor was not artificial either. I wish I could explain how it took me by surprise and I doubt I'll find another like it. I will say it's THE BEST doughnut I've ever had. My husband had an Oreo one and loved his as well. He's a doughnut guy and idk if he's ever had one he doesn't like. Mine was so good I didn't want to taste his and I always eat his food Thank you to the young lady working the counter for the sweet recommendation on what to order May 29, 2026

We ordered a dozen plus 4 regular -- and first off, our dozen box looked like it had been thrown together from across the room. The box was just throw together rather than lined up gently (and without any parchment between the heavy, icing-covered donuts!) so by the time we got where we were going they were all stuck together and sharing icing flavors. Every haphazard donut stuck to the next. Unappetizing, I assure you. Secondly, after all that, they didn't even give us our four extra even though we paid for them.

At first, from the outside, I thought I was walking into a barbershop because of the door, but stepping inside was a fun surprise. The space is really unique--almost like a mini indoor shopping mall. The coffee shop is right at the front, but as you walk further back, there's a barbershop and a few other small shops to explore. Despite all that, it still has a chill, relaxed vibe. Plenty of seating and big windows make it perfect for hanging out with a book. I ordered the Holiday Inn Cambodia coffee, and it was fantastic. the service was great. Barista gave me a few recommendations. I'll definitely be back--this is a great spot to unwind, read, or just get out of the house for a little while. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Now onto Gold, I was a bit bummed when he wasn't at the trailer but happy he opened up his own shop and started visiting regularly. From its humble beginnings of a few bar stools, limited menu, and a small space to the wide open space that is Gold today, the constants have been killer coffee, awesome service, and great convo if it's not a mad rush.
