What is delightful find. If you are looking for the best pizza in Miami Beach look no further. Today's choice was a beautiful sidewalk table with a marvelous view of the Lincoln Rd., Mall to enjoy a quiet pizza together and some iced tea. What we didn't expect was a perfectly charred crust pizza with just the right amount of cheese and toppings. Our choice of the Toscana pizza which had chicken, spinach, basil, and ricotta cheese was the ideal afternoon late lunch or two. Really beautiful little spot with great service and impeccable food. The only shortcomings were limited choices of toppings and the high prices for drinks. Nice choice of music and beautiful decor made for a wonderful cozy lunch with my lady. A must try place along Lincoln Road.

My husband and I were on Lincoln Road and stopped in for a quick bite for lunch. We decided to sit outside and we're served outside. We had two ice cold pepperonis and ordered the Arancini balls, the focaccia and the spicy salami pizza. The food came out very quickly, which we were happy about as we were in a bit of a rush. We asked for all the food to come as it was ready and they obliged us. The pizza had a great flavor and I love the salami. We were so full we took the focaccia home and it reheated very well. The Arancini balls were pretty solid I would've liked if they had a little bit more cheese. But all I know was pretty good and I would definitely stop back in.

So my very high level of anticipation may certainly be partially to blame for my average-ish experience. I was pleasantly surprised to get a table with no wait at ~6:30 on a Wednesday evening. Staff were attentive and friendly. Prices were high, as expected, but at least the pizzas are of reasonable size. The $32 pasta portion probably could've been a bit more generous. But anyway, on to why we're all here - The Pizza: The crust had a great crunch but I felt lacked nuance beyond that, no chew and a touch on the dry side. Cheese and sauce were fine but also unremarkable. The heaps of basil provided some bright freshness that was definitely appreciated. I feel even more compelled now to try the NYC location for comparison! This wasn't a bad pizza by any stretch but not something I would ever pick over my favorite NYC standouts.

It was a bakery for many, many years, even after I left Miami Beach, when I'd come visit, I made sure to get a pastelito de carne with an orange juice and then one day; the bakery was gone and Pane e Vino was here in its place. As illogical as it may be, I held resentment towards Pane e Vino because of this. I'd grumble and scowl when I'd walk by until one day I saw a man making fresh pasta at the window. Yes, this piqued my interest. I then looked at the menu, and I saw a lot of wonderful variety, but mostly that their pasta is made fresh so it occurred to me that in this instance perhaps one legendary establishment can become another one in this place, and I decided I needed to give this restaurant a chance. I have some friends who join me often when I go to Miami Beach and so we ordered a bunch of dishes to share. I'm really glad we had our waitress Pilar steer us in the right direction. I love truffle anything and she highly recommended the truffle arancini. I'm soooo glad we got it, and that was probably one of my favorite things to eat ever. I have never had such creamy polenta in my life. the truffle and cheese in this was enough to almost bring me to tears. This is how great food is done. Even the salad and the simple dressing was amazing, really fresh and delicious. We tried three different pasta dishes, but my favorite without a doubt was the lamb ragu. This dish was everything. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. You know that lamb will sometimes have a gamey flavor? Not this dish. My second favorite pasta dish was the truffle ravioli. It's not like a truffle infused oil or salt they used, its actual shaved truffle, so delicious. The bread, the good quality olive oil, everything was fantastic. Even though my beloved bakery belongs to the past; in its place is now another magnificent establishment that I will look forward to visiting whenever I'm in Miami Beach.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I have no complaints about the service. Unfortunately, the Bolognese pasta I ordered made me extremely sick. My husband had a pizza and was completely fine, but a few hours after my meal I started feeling nauseous and developed severe stomach issues. That night, I ended up in the emergency room and had to receive IV medications. Even after being discharged from the hospital the next morning, the following days of our vacation were ruined because I was still recovering. The financial cost is one thing, but having a vacation you've planned and paid for ruined by a single plate of pasta is incredibly disappointing. The pasta itself was cooked al dente, but I believe the problem was with the sauce. I didn't even enjoy the flavor while I was eating it. I asked for Parmesan to make it taste better, but honestly, I wish I had stopped eating it altogether. I'm sharing this experience in the hope that more attention will be paid to food freshness and kitchen hygiene. When food safety standards slip, people don't just lose money--they lose their health and valuable vacation time as well. I wish I could give zero stars!
