Outdoor table

Spritzenhaus is a good spot for a casual drink/bar food options in Williamsburg/Greenpoint, right by McCarren Park. It's a massive beer hall with tons of seating inside, plus a good amount of outdoor tables along the sidewalk. It's perfect for groups or just hanging out and people-watching. I visited on a Thursday for happy hour (until 7pm, $7 beers, cider, etc.) and grabbed a table outside with a friend. If you're seated outside, you order at the bar and bring out your drinks - service was quick. Inside, there's a huge bar, plenty of seating, and the vibe gets livelier later in the night with music and a fun crowd. I've been here a few times and would recommend for casual drinks, catching up with friends, or a group outing.

This place gets really crowded. You need to make a reservation or get there before they open. People are already waiting outside. The Argentine brat was really good. Very garlic heavy though so be warned. It's also expensive for the size. But everything did taste good.

Great place mid shopping to grab a beer with your buddies and play some games! Plenty of space for large parties, great selection of beer!

Good beer selection offset by a fairly boring staff. Not particularly recommended given the number of better beer bars around town.

An average 4 stars here feels spot on…read more The staff is SO friendly and accomdating, helping us with our large party, their family style menu, seating changes, and anything else we needed. With a party of 8 or more, they make you order off the family style menu, which was honestly great for us, and it only 48/pp which feels cheap! There are some extras you can add on that make it a bit more expensive, but still not bad. The apps we got from family style were SO good, the Ragu Sliders and arancini were so so so good. The arancini was perfectly fried and the ragu sliders were so flavorful. Thankfully our party was pretty full after all the apps, because the main dishes we're not so great. Our pizza was a bit floppy, the vodka pasta was ok and the cacio e pepe seemed to just be flavored buttered noodles. None of it was bad, it just was unimpressive after such GREAT apps. I'd totally go back and check out the regular menu with the smaller group.

Do not attempt dinner here on a Saturday night…read more I'd been here on weeknights before and thought it was decent, so we thought Saturday would be safe. Turns out there are apparently two different restaurants operating under the same name. On Saturdays, the place transforms into a nightclub, complete with bouncers, thumping music, and bartenders who seem deeply inconvenienced by anyone ordering something other than alcohol. The restaurant happily accepted our Resy reservation without mentioning that actual dinner service would be an afterthought. When we arrived, we were told the only place we'd be able to have a conversation was sitting outside. In the rain. Outside wasn't really "table service" anyway, it was basically Chipotle with cocktails -- that you have to fetch. You order everything via QR code, there are no servers, and the menu doesn't even include drinks. Want water? A soda? A refill? Head back inside to the packed club bar. Every so often a food runner would appear, offering the rare opportunity to beg for essentials like silverware or condiments. They seemed annoyed they had to be outside at all. SAME. The food was somehow even more disappointing than the service. Everything looked like it had spent a long time under a heat lamp before making its way to the table. Pizza, salmon, ribs, potatoes -- it was all greasy, tired and overpriced. If you're looking for a nightclub, maybe this works. If you're looking for the restaurant you thought you reserved, look elsewhere. We clearly should have adjusted our plans the minute we sat down, but won't make the Ainslie mistake again. Ever.

My new favorite brewery…read more I've been here a few times now --- by myself, with a friend, and with a group. Each and every single time has been awesome. This place has everything, attentive service, great beer, and great food. I find that sometimes the beer offerings at various breweries get a bit stale --- it's almost always the same stuff. Keg & Lantern is going to have all your favorite, but they just seem better executed. My go-to first beer is the Soprano. A great crisp Italian pilsner After that, it's off to the races with a high abv hazy ipa. The food here is also great. In particular, I love their fish and chips. After having it multiple times, it seems unbelievably consistent. It's always delicious. My wife loves the blackened fish. Finally, the service is great. They're attentive, always seem to swing by at the right time, and are super friendly. K&L seems to do everything all the other breweries do, but just a little bit better. For sure stop in here. Oh, also they've got some great happy hour specials!

The lighting is dim and the music is good. There is always good service. The prices are a little bit high for a bar with bar food but we do enjoy coming!
