Much better than Whole Foods. This store was clean and had a wide selection of foods. I even found some Katz loaf cake that I've never seen before! (I have a ton of allergies so variety is shocking and amazing to me when I'm so used to eating the same 20 things on repeat lol!) Checkout was a bit slow as they had express and one regular lane open and there were more people in the store than that, but I didn't see more employees, so definitely not their fault. The fault of the person scheduling, it would seem. Anyway, meat, veggies, frozen selection and quality were great. Zero allergen issues after, so they clearly handled things right, too. Racism is alive & well at this location, please don't shop here. I've been to this location for the 2nd & last time. 1st visit, I was harrased while taking my time looking at all the spices. 2nd visit, cashier made a strange face at me instead of offering a greeting and then proceeded to have a full convo with the guy behind me in line. We couldn't even complete my transaction because they couldn't (or wouldn't) give me the correct price of an item, despite the glaring price on the package plus the weight displayed on the checkout screen. Most awful sprouts. This location needs a severe upgrade to match the quality at other sprout locations, its like stepping back in time & not in a good way. read more

I love shopping here. Everyone is friendly, and I mean EVERYONE! They started offering samples which is great and the staff was really attentive and helpful. The food selection is great and they have good deals going on. The store is always kept clean and organized. I do wish there was one or 2 more cart returns on the outer edges of the parking lot but after leaving a happy customer I suppose don't mind the exercise. Although this is a grocery store, however, it's structured to feel more like a farmers market with bulk items and a strong produce section. The deli/meat section is decent and you'll find neat toiletries, vitamins, and seasonal fruits that make shopping at Sprouts a little different experience than the standard grocery store. I wish they had a better check out system, but, it's okay overall and we're happy to shop at Sprouts. I would highly recommend it! read more

Overall, sprouts delivers exactly what I need as a vegetarian who is health conscious. Their produce is fresh, stocked with local products, nice cashiers. The only problem I've had today is getting a sandwich made from the deli. Usually they have sandwich tickets you can write on, but I couldn't find them so I asked for them. She told me no I can't write on it. I held a confused face and she said in an irritated tone "I'm not trying to be rude to you" Ok. No problem... I told her what I would like, told her I'm vegan, and only requested vegetables. Out of vegetables I did request the avocado and cucumber (that I was charged for) was not on it. I requested mustard and hummus, and instead got mayo... The bread was not the one I asked for. I'm not sure what happened here.. disappointed read more

We used to be locals and loved this store. My husband tried to stop by for lunch today 7/31/20 he was visiting Colorado for business reasons. Anyhow he has a medical condition that doesn't allow him to wear a mask. The manager was super rude and said sorry I can't help you nor let you in. I hope some local resident takes the time to file a discrimination lawsuit as they will win an ADA lawsuit hands down. Be sure to video it too. The mask mandate exempts medical conditions for obvious reasons!!! We live out of state now and just don't want this battle he found somewhere else to get lunch. Terrific market, similar to a Trader Joe's with a dollop of Whole Foods. Excellent pricing too! A surprisingly robust prepared foods section with salads, tamales, Italian fare, etc... I really like Sprouts selection and I want to take it seriously as a chain but for the love of god step up the service. It just takes forever to get anything done, especially if you want a deli sandwich. With nothing in queue it took nearly 20 mins to make one sandwich, we just opted to forego the second since the ticket hadn't been pulled in the 20 mins it was taking to make the first one. If this was a one off experience I probably wouldn't care, but I've tried this deli thing at multiple locations and it's always the same. Checkout is also unbearable most of the time, never enough staff, always slow processing. Just put in a self checkout lane or something. It sucks because you (sprouts) have the means and the concept to be such a great store, but you just shit the bed on service. read more

I always forget to bring my recyclable bags when I shop here and it makes me feel a little guilty each time I visit. The produce is usually amazing and SO affordable. I was there tonight, for instance, and they had avocados for 39 cents each. Are you serious? That's just not right. I bought a ridiculous amount of roasted garlic for mere pennies, too. They'd peeled and roasted it for me. So sweet of them. The variety of ethnic foods and spices is pretty impressive, too, Oh, and it's also a pretty great place to shop for bulk items, especially rice and other grains. Oh, and peanut butter. You can buy peanut butter by weight there. Not so bad! I haven't tried their coffee yet, but I need to. Plus, I can buy lots and lots of Bit 'O Honeys here. Mommy like. Don't mock me for liking old lady candy. One of the only issues I have is that it's very hard to find people to help you find items. I have no problem asking for help in stores when I can't find stuff. Hard to do when you can't find helpers. And dude, tahini? Hard to find. If they come up with their own salad bar, I will love them forever. read more

Sorry, Sunflower, but you've let yourself go. This store never seems that busy, and consequently, some of their products don't get rotated enough to stay fresh. The produce moves pretty quickly, but the dairy products don't seem terribly fresh. Several times I've had milk products (milk, yogurt, or cream) go bad very quickly once I get them home--- well before the expiration date on the package. Their prices in this department aren't great, so I'm assuming people just don't buy them enough to keep things fresh. I no longer buy dairy items here, unless I know I'll be able to use them right away. Also, the pre-peeled garlic cloves, which I adore, are almost always moldy in the middle, which you don't discover until you get them home and try to use them. The roasted garlic cloves are even worse. I still love their sausage and meats. However, I wouldn't buy any pre-packaged frozen seafood (bagged). When I was there last summer, I reached into the cooler and squeezed some of the bags, and found them to be mushy and totally thawed. Since this is a HUGE health concern, I informed someone in the seafood department. His response was, "Huh. Well....that's not good!" and then did nothing that I could see to alert a supervisor. We were big fans of Sunflower before the merger with Sprouts. At Sunflower,we were able to grab quality produce (and other items) for an inexpensive price, and it made sense to make a trip to this store when grocery shopping. Over the last year or so, the quality of the produce has decreased while the prices significantly increased to the extent that I ask myself, "why am I here?" The quality and prices are virtually indistinguishable from the major players at King Soopers, Safeway, Costco, etc. Further, they have less items than those competitors, and we almost always have to stop one of the competitor's stores to complete our shopping. In my opinion, they destroyed their competitive advantage! At this point, the only thing that draws me in is the Boars Head deli. I can go to Soopers for the same deli items, but sometimes the sight of the Sooper's deli line makes me do an about face and I B-Line it to the Sprouts deli. read more

This place has the freshest largest and cleanest produce for very very cheap. When I shop here I spend about 30$ on large amounts of fruit and veggies which would,have cost me 60$ elsewhere. They also have a great selection of granola, coffee beans and candy that you fill the bags yourself and pay by the pound. I really like this Sunflower Market for their produce selection and prices on produce. They always have the staples, in good condition, on hand. (Zucchini. Squash. Eggplant. Citrus. Greens. Etc.) They have friendly staff and an overall good selection of meats, baked goods, and cheeses. Sunflower is definitely a better-priced option than Whole Foods. Their produce is largely not organic, but is good quality conventional. The Good: Quality Produce House-Made Sausages (Get them on sale!) Weekly Ground Beef Specials: $1.99 a pound! Marinated Chicken: Baja, Asada, More. Bulk Bins: Candies, Chocolates, Grains, Pastas, Snacks. The Not Great: Overpriced Cold Cuts (Even if it IS Boar's Head. And I LOVE Boar's Head.) Basic Cheese Selection, Nothing "Unique" or rare. $Whole$Food$ down at BelMar's grab-n-go foods and Salad, Pizza, Olive, Hummus, and Appetizer bar are far superior to Sunflower's wimpy little attempt. Shopping Tips: Use Reusable Bags, Get a dime refund. Wednesdays = Double Ad Days. Get the sale prices from LAST week AND NEXT week. Free Coffee at the left (North) door to sip while you browse. Weekend Samples / Outside Grilling events. I can't do ALL my shopping here, but it is my go-to supplement to King Sooper's Produce (even after their 'New Lower Prices') and better quality ground beef and chicken. I'm wavering between 3 and 4 stars here, because I really do like Sunflower. But it's notably smaller than WholeFood$, and just can't offer the same selection. Finally!! It's about time this location has opened. My wife has been waiting for months for Sunflower Farmers Market to open in Arvada, and it has happened! Now we don't have to spend our whole paycheck at Whole Foods! Now we can get great produce without having to waste half a tank of gas and have to deal with the craziness that is 92nd and Sheridan or Belmar! Now I can let my wife go do the grocery shopping while I look at new skis and snowboards at Colorado Ski and Golf. Oh wait, that's cause her to slap me upside my noggin. Actually, I have never been inside a Sunflower before this weekend. This particular location is really nice because it is so new. I like the fact that they have a huge produce section, and everything looks so fresh. I also like their Deli (Boars Head meats!) and their Meat/Seafood department. They have a lot of freshly made "heat and eat" type dinners, and a great looking selection of ready to cook ideas for dinner in the butcher case. We didn't buy a ton of stuff, but had enough to fill two bags, and we still got out of there for about half of what we would have payed at Whole Paycheck. read more

Although a little more expensive than your typical Safeway or King Soopers, they aren't at the Whole Foods level of pricing. It's important to keep in mind, they are your typical health food/ produce market. Which means that you are expected to occasionally place a scoop into a bin of bulk food; you are encouraged to bring your own containers and bags; and, as a sign that used to hang on their door used to request, they do ask that you remember to wear pants. read more

Woohoo! I finally get some "whole food" options without the ridiculous bend-you-over prices! I am definitely throwing Sunflower into my grocery shopping routine. The produce is super stinking cheap and excellent quality. Everything is well stocked and clearly labeled. The store in general always seems clean and organized. I was particularly thrilled to find their giant selection of vitamins and supplements. I am a Vitamin Cottage fan, but damn, I found some of my hubby's vitamins for almost half the price here. Minus a star only until I can see how their deli and bakery stack up against the others. Otherwise, it's a nice convenient location with lots of other great places nearby! read more

Any grocers that has Certified Organic Non-GMO verified products will always get 5 Stars from me. That is all I buy and adhering to that has and is still clearing up a plethora of health issues I have had over the years. I do not buy everything I need at one place because I have found that there are products some store may carry that another does not. I like and my body needs Pate and this place is the only place where I can get good quality Pate. They also have a wide selection of Alden's Organic Ice Creams whereas everywhere else has limited selections. Those are the two reasons I am drawn here, but I will pick up any fresh produce that I'm out of that is organic here, too. Store is ultra clean, spacious, with friendly employees. I haven't noticed any at the checkouts to overly gab with a customer while you are behind them waiting in line and I appreciate that, too. read more
