This is as good as it gets in Utah Valley, not as good as it gets. They're cheaper than Harmon's, much better than Good Earth (the one in Provo), and your soul doesn't start to atrophy (as it is prone to do in Smiths). We moved here from Berkeley. I can say with some confidence that if you're used to Bay Area grocery stores, shopping here will sometimes be a heart-wrenching 'why did I move to this place????', not-so-fun experience. But it is, by far, the best grocery store in the area. What is good about it? A pretty good selection of fresh, not crazy expensive good-quality produce (organic and regular); a good bulk section; most of the specialty ingredients we need; cheaper than Harmons. What is not good about it? No free range eggs (only cage free), no happy-cow milk; the only humanely raised meat available is chicken (the meat at Harmon's is much better); herbs are in tiny, overpriced packages (go to Rancho Markets further down the road for cheap herbs); closed on Sundays. read more

Great place with a wide variety of choices in produce including some unique ones. What made it even more interesting was the medicine section which had homeopathic medicines which are traditionally available in India and that was something I least expected to be available in Utah and definitely not In a farmers market store in Orem ( not even SLC) and was pleasantly surprised when I came across it here read more

Sunflower is great. They Have great produce prices, weekly specials that are often scary good, and the quality is usually above average. I've had a few produce items turn on me before i thought they should have, otherwise no problems. They also have the best selection of imported specialty food stuffs (sauces, spices, etc) and cultural items that I have found in Utah Valley. They also have a huge selection of dried beans, nuts, grains, etc. Staff is friendly, mostly students, and fairly knowledgeable. The only thing that sucks about this place is getting out of the parking lot, its on State and University which is hell on Earth imo. read more

Sprouts was my go to market when I lived in Utah for a little while. It has a great selection of food and the customer service was great. They have a good variety of organic produce, since a lot of places don't usually have a large selection. The vitamin/health/beauty section was great. The employees that work in this area are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. read more

My girlfriend tried to order a sandwich from deli after I warned her that the deli crew is often MIA. She said the Deli Manager with the HUGE gauges in her ears first yelled at another employee in front of her and did not seem too pleased to serve her. So my girlfriend just left. I saw a post from someone upset about their mother having to wear a mask. The cops outside were waiting for everyone who was not wearing a mask. Not just the woman. This store has great management. There's a sign on the door telling you a mask is required. Abide by it if you want to shop there. Thank you sprouts for holding the customers accountable. However, as of late, the team running Orem Sprouts has been exceeding my expectations. The store is always super clean and tidy. The employees are friendly and they work hard. The produce is amazing most of the time. The lettuce isn't the best but everything else is wonderful and the prices are so good too! Always check the weekly ads! Good grocery store. I like that on Thursdays they have 10% discount. Taking one star off for the discount going from 15 to 10%. Taking off another star because they removed the soy organic creamer that I used to buy all the time. They are really trying to push their god awful coconut milk brand. Parking is god awful. They do have nice prices on their dietary supplements. They're dark Terry supplements are relatively lower price than whole. One thing these clowns need to get through their head is to stop nickel and diming their customers to death. Every time I've been there I've had to wait at least 5 minutes in line because they only have one register open for 30 customers. And it's always the slowest cashier and it's always a trainee. I only go here because it's close and it's convenient. If I had a better option like the min Wal Mart they are planning on opening I'm definitely going there instead. Sunflower Market has the best food and health suppliments in the area. Wish their were more stores like them. I can buy there what the other stores and health food stores don't carry, and if you ask they will order you your item better than any other store. Sprouts is simply average. To me, they're the Nordstrom of grocery stores in that they really don't know who their buyer/consumer is. They're definitely not Whole Foods, but they're not Smith's or Walmart. I shop here simply because I'm geographically forced to and can't drive to Murray every week to Whole Foods. Back home there are about five Whole Foods within a 20 mile radius but am stuck at Sprouts since I go to school at BYU. The produce is hit and miss but their organic produce is definitely cheaper than Whole Foods, however much less consistent. Other than produce, you're really not saving much on other types of foods. Their selection of chicken is very drab, their fish is either farmed or has the appearance of being old/near rotten when it's supposedly wild caught and the meat is just generic packaged stuff they ship in, yet it's all comparable to or more expensive than what I pay at Whole Foods. Their cheese selection is pretty limited and after talking with family, I confirmed that their cheeses are more expensive than Whole Foods, and I couldn't find one real imported cheese. Their "French-style made" Brie is disgusting and so bitter that it best belongs in the trash. The bulk section is very average and in my experience has been stale every single time I try something. Obviously they're using old ingredients. The staff is nice albeit very slow but that's Utah for you. Overall, this place is just average and does not live up to the facade they claim to aspire to. read more

I just moved to Provo, and with all of the soda shops and fast foods I was so happy there is a sprouts down the street from my house. Even happier I won't have to go without my Kombucha! This location is awesome! Their employees are all so friendly and helpful. The lines always move really quickly. Decent prices and as close as you can get to Trader Joe's in Utah; however, this is not Trader Joe's. Sunflower Farmers Market has a good selection of [usually] fresh produce. They also have a bunch of holistic supplements, fresh ground nut butters, honey, and bulk items. This is a good place to find produce (both regular and organic), and the staff is pretty helpful. Also, the sushi is actually alright considering how far it is to the ocean. They have a discount for students on Thursdays (20%, I think). There's something about coming here that makes me a happier, more patient person. Even if I have a new cashier (I did today, and he was great!) Or the parking lot is nuts (it usually is) I'm totally happy about it and walk out of there feeling like its my favorite place on my errands list. Just bought some of the best tomatoes I've ever eaten for a cheap, cheap price. I love Sprouts because I can get specialty and organic items that you can't easily find elsewhere. I'm going to be honest, grocery shopping is one of my favorite things to do! I lead a very active lifestyle and exercise 6 days a week so I eat a lot and grocery shop a lot. Sprouts cannot be beat when it comes to produce. They deliver the best quality at an unbelievable price! I've never had a poor experience here and the employees are always so helpful. I come in at least once a week to pick up produce. They also offer great deals on other items as well. The selection of unique products is great and always for a decent price. I also love the meat selection! They have the best chicken sausage!!! A little known secret, customers are more than welcome to sample any of the many nuts, fruit, trail mix, candy, etc...so if you're feeling curious about the chocolate covered almonds, give them a try! read more

I have tried giving the store many, many chances. However, the cleanliness level is not great. There tends to be a funky smell around the meat department at times. The produce is low quality compared to WholeFoods or Harmon's. I guess you get what you pay for. Many times I found expired items on the shelf and fruit that wasn't fresh. read more

I love how small Sunflower is, especially compared to Walmart, Target, Harmon's, etc. It's fairly easy to navigate if you have been in a couple of times before. Sunflower Market doesn't have much competition however in Utah, which gives it an easy 5 stars. It would be nice to see Utah improve on the health side of the food. read more

I moved to the area from Phoenix Arizona, about 6 months ago. Arizona is where I think Sunflower Market originated. After moving to Utah I was pleasantly surprised that there was a Sunflower Market in Orem. I went there to check it out and to get a few things, as I was really missing a good "down to earth" store, that wasn't over-run by big marketing schemes, and offered local and organic items. While I do like the atmosphere, and most of the offerings this store provides, I was appalled that it did not offer any type of beer or wine. Now I know more about the area and the alcohol laws, all I could say is "go figure"! Utah really sucks big time in that area. The other thing that I didn't really get, was that the prices were outrageous, on I guess you could say "non-common" items. ie; Toms Toothpaste almost $7.00/ tube. anywhere else in the $4.00 range. They do have good produce and prices are OK. Sale items are mainly what I go for there now. Still rubbing my head over no beer! In Arizona they carry a good selection of local brews and micro brews that you don't really find at many other grocery stores. Welcome to Utah!
