I cleaned up that entire dish and didn't leave anything behind, I even ate the lettuce wrap. I've been to different Vietnamese restaurants with the same price point, and I've been given a larger portion size with leftovers to take home. That's my only qualm with this place and that's why it's 4/5 stars for me. Service was good, they did a good job taking care of a large group. I'd recommend this place.

If you see my previous Sprouts review you will see that I have loved this place for years. The last three visits have been disappointing in the service and food, but this last visit was awful. I assume ownership has changed as the entire place has gone downhill. I worked in the restaurant industry for 12 years and I just cannot keep this information to myself any longer. 1. There was a young child behind the counter for most of the hour our family was in the restaurant. A four-year-old child, putting her hands on a lot of stuff. She was a female employee's child (looked like). I do not understand why this is okay. If I was the owner I would be upset that a child was behind the counter with employees making her specialty food and carrying her around instead of working. 2. The young llady making the spring rolls did not have her long hair tied back, and her hair was just a few inches above the rolls. It made me nervous. She did wear gloves, but she kept them on while she did other things besides make the rolls, so what good are they? 3. I counted 12 different people working, and at any given time there were 6 or 7 behind the counter, but honestly only two thirds were actually working. Most of the females were working, but the only male I saw doing anything useful was an older Vietnamese man. There was a lot of checking mobile phones, chatting among the staff, and general standing around. 4. What really topped it off was that my husband and I had severe stomach issues a couple of hours after we got home. We ate the same pho at Sprouts but nothing else was in common the same the rest of the day. Process of elimination - it was the pho. 5. Speaking of the pho - which used to be FANTASTIC - it should not take 37 minutes to get it after ordering and then have it served lukewarm - not hot. Not a bit hot, not even close to hot, which makes me think it was sitting back in the back for a while before it was served to us. Or it was never hot. We were regulars at Sprouts (multiple times a month), but this last time we recognized only two staff members, and there is a "Help Wanted" sign on the door. I cannot see why more staff is needed as there were a ton of employees there, like I said many were standing around, and the place was not full. I saw one young woman obviously going thru training. I saw her trying to keep busy. It is a very youthful crowd mostly. No maturity except for the older Vietnamese woman and man I briefly saw come out from the back. Our service was fine. Not speedy but courteous. Our drinks were refilled quickly. That's about all I can say that is positive. I really hope Sprouts makes a turnaround. I cannot recommend it as it now stands. read more

Great food but not necessarily traditional Vietnamese. I eat at Sprout's pretty regularly. It's one of my favorite places in Arlington for a quick, healthy meal. The spring rolls are excellent and reasonably priced. My favorite meal, the drunken fish, got taken off the menu and I miss it terribly but the vermicelli is wonderful so that's what I typically order. The pho is good, certainly not as traditional as a lot of other places in town but worth trying. Modern decor, friendly service - overall, it's a great little place for lunch or dinner. read more

We were seated fairly quickly. It seems everyone were enjoying themselves and the workers were all busy working. They have a large variety of drinks. Their smoothies tasted great. We love their traditional spring rolls and it didn't take too long for our foods. We had the house vermicelli and chicken pho. They are pretty large portion and the foods tasted great. read more

if you are looking for a fancy place , this is not it. if you are looking for great food and very reasonably priced, i suggest you give it a try. we usually get one main dish and 2 appetizers and still take some home with us. no booze butthats ok, its well worth it. can get crowded at times so be prepared for a possible wait read more

I have been here many times and the food is excellent! I love this place, first because it's close to home, and second because the food is super fresh. The place is also clean. The initial greeting/seating (when you enter) needs some work as they seem really disorganized initially but they're usually friendly and you'll be seated without a hassle. read more
