Casey saved the day!…read more It's been hot - in the 90s - and our AC just stopped blowing cold air. Cleaned out things as best as we could...no dice. Called on Thursday morning and were scheduled for Friday afternoon BUT Casey got done with another appointment early and asked if he could come now. Same day service...within a few hours of calling. 100% recommend!

To our recollection we have never posted a negative review, but our experience with Blue Best…read morewarrants one. We met with Blue Best late in 2024 to discuss our concern with air temps in our house, specifically temps in our living room and kitchen, which have high ceilings and southern exposure and become uncomfortably hot in summer. We were very clear about our concern, and the salesperson spent hours assessing our home and assured us his proposed system would solve the problem. We accepted the ~$14,000 bid to install a heat pump solution based on that assurance. By summer 2025, the living room and kitchen were still too hot on most sunny days. Despite many service visits and repeated adjustments (baffles, registers, fan speeds, etc.), the issue was never resolved. Blue Best ultimately stated the system was operating as designed and implied the problem was with our home, not their installation.  In our opinion, Blue Best is very good at selling a solution, but not so good at ensuring that solution meets what the customer needs. Two independent HVAC contractors opined: -Our ductwork is in good condition. -The thermostat, furnace, and compressor Blue Best installed were not properly matched. -Basic industry-standard load calculations (e.g., Manual J) were apparently not done, which would have shown the system was undersized for our home's layout, windows, and sun exposure. Blue Best has declined to remove the system or refund our payment, instead relying on fine print in the contract. We are now pursuing legal options. We have since spent ~$12,000 on a mini-split system from another contractor, which works as intended. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Blue Best and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

We've used Mountain Air for several years for our bi-annual "tune-ups" so when our 6 year old HVAC…read moresystem stopped working suddenly of course we called them first. Their diagnosis was we had a bad compressor and it would need to be replaced at a cost of just under $6,000. Having relatives in the HVAC business in Arizona I knew that compressors are expensive. We had replaced our HVAC system, including the variable speed furnace, in California the year earlier for just over $9,000 so I requested a quote to replace our entire system since their $6,000 estimate would or should be a majority of the entire cost. Imagine my surprise when the bids we received ranged from $17,000 to $27,000!!! At these prices it was time to get a second opinion....and this is where it gets really ridiculous. After getting a recommendation from another homeowner within our community we had Ben Henry HVAC out to check our system. What he found was that we had no electricity running to our condenser/compressor, that the electrical line from our electrical panel in the garage to the outside unit had failed/been severed. Ben suggested we have Dave Williams of Crux Electrical out to repair the line which we did. Upon restoring electrical power our system worked fine, there was NO COMPRESSOR ISSUE AND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ACTUAL HVAC SYSTEM!!!!!! When I shared the Mountain Air bid with my HVAC experienced relatives and with our HVAC guy in California they all laughed and remarked we were being ripped off. As I said in my final communication with the sales folks at Mountain Air, "So you guys are either incompetent or have low business integrity...leave it to you to decide". The positive outcome of this entire debacle was we found two great contractors in Ben Henry and Dave Williams. We upgraded our furnace with a variable speed motor by Ben Henry and it's been a game changer.

I called an HVAC company to give me an estimate, and they told me that I needed to replace the entire motor costing $992... I told a friend that I was going to have to cancel my vacation the following week because of this expense, and he recommended a second look from Wane and Genuine Comfort. Wane was at my house the next morning, reviewed the situation, and SAVED me over $800 DOLLARS on the repair. It turns out I didn't need a new motor, and the repair took less than 30 minutes. I highly recommend Genuine Comfort to anyone.

Once we had our new HVAC system in place, there was an issue with the thermostats and their precise programming. Wayne and his staff were endlessly patient in their attempts to get the thermostats to perform as we wanted them to--swapping off what they had originally installed three different times until we felt we had full control or temperatures and times. We were not charged for this, and Genuine Comfort was always good natured and courteous. It's hard to imagine a better and more customer-centered company. Highest rating!
