Can't wait to come back! Really delicious and cheesy pizza. We really overestimated how much pizza we would need based on the size of them. Each pizza will comfortably feed 2 people. Since we ordered more than necessary we were left with cold pizza for the next couple of days and I was not complaining. It reheats fine and tastes just as delicious. I am a big fan of the dough and the crispy fried edges that it had. I live nearby and have gotten coupons in the mail but forgot them when I was ordering online. Luckily their online ordering offered a promo that made one of our pizzas free. We ordered to go and picking up was easy, staff was very friendly and the order was ready right on time. Interior is large and very clean. I am a big fan of dipping my pizza into ranch and I was not a big fan of theirs. It had a lemony taste to it, definitely more intended for a salad.

I am neutral on SPG. They make a decent pizza at a reasonable price. They have good deals. For less than $25, you can get a whole pizza. I give them 3 stars because it's average. There are many other pizza places out there making a much better Detroit style pizza such as Slice of Homage and Tony's Slice house.

One of the best pizzas I've had, hands down. Love the shape. It was greasy so the size that they gave us was perfect. It's one of those things where you can't eat too much because it is pretty heavy. Service was quick, the pizza came out in like 15 minutes so not too long of a wait. It's really hands off though, after you get served your pizza they leave you alone. Overall would recommend if in the area!

I kept seeing this place on Instagram but didn't realize they had a Campbell location until I happened to drive by this place and see the storefront. There's a certain frozen Detroit style pizza that I love and I figured something fresh would be 10x better. Square Pie Guys more than delivered on that. I got the spicy pepperoni. It comes with good quality pepperoni (as you can see by the way it cups), fresh jalapeño (perfectly cooked to retain some snap), and spicy ranch. If you're a fan of chili flakes on your pizza, you'll probably find that this one is the perfect spice level and doesn't need anything else, although chili flakes and Parmesan are available at each table. The toppings were excellent but I'd come back to try another pie because the basics were excellent too. The crust is soft and airy and the edges are shatteringly crispy, exactly what you want out of a good Detroit style. There was plenty of cheese, which gave a pleasant stretch due to how fresh the pizza was. What really elevated this particular pizza was the vodka sauce that they used: the sweetness and creaminess perfectly complemented the salty and spicy toppings. I wouldn't say that it cuts through those elements, but rather, they synergize to create a truly indulgent meal. They say that one pizza serves 2 people and I think that's perfectly accurate. I was stuffed after having half of this pizza. As a bonus, the staff were lovely. The cashier greeted me and asked if I had been there before when I entered, and offered the spicy pepperoni as a personal recommendation. I'll definitely be returning!

I had The Big Von (half off promo). It was delicious. Just to warn you, there is kind of a sweet taste that might turn some people off however, I like it! I was disappointed there is no tomato sauce whatsoever on there. It was still tasty and I gobbled it right up after a long workday. Pro tip make sure you download the app because a lot of times they have specials!

It was our first time trying Square pie guy's in Campbell, we made a call for a phone order & a young lady said they were closed they didn't open till 4pm due to a training....soon after we hung up I received a call from Marc S who is the owner & said he can take our phone order anyway, we were so excited. 30min later we went to pick up our pizza Met Marc S at the door, I received my order & very thankful he went out of his way, the very Best customer service. We really enjoyed our first (takeout) experience with Square Pie Guys. Ordering on the app was easy, but note that NO modifications, substitutions, or requests are possible - except making a pizza dairy free or gluten free. We probably would have ordered a salad, but there wasn't one without cheese. We ordered the How Mush-Room (as is) and the Plant Supreme (dairy free). It took about 25 minutes from time of ordering to receive our meal (exactly the time quoted in the app), which was nicely packaged and bagged for us. The interior of the restaurant was clean with a fun vibe - they definitely made some major updates from the previous restaurant, Desi. We took our pizzas home and they were still hot and meaty, so we dug right in. The pizzas were both delicious and extremely filling. I only could eat one slice and husband had two. Loved the fresh toppings and the crunchy, cheesy crust. I did end up dipping into some marinara I had at home, which I would recommend for the white sauce pizza. Husband loved the vegan cheese and the mix of veggies on the Plant Supreme.

Well Happy New Year! This is my first review of 2026! My wife and I decided to go to Square Pie Guys (Formally Desi's and Steak and Shake) 501 E Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA 95008 For those who follow my reviews, I am not a fan of self serve business model restaurants, which what Square Pie Guys is. The restaurant is very clean, has nice big windows, and a good table and chair lay out. You pick where you want to sit, use your phone (QR code on table), order, pay (no cash accepted), tip is automatically put into the bill (you can delete it under custom-15/20/22%). The menu also states a 5% Employee Healthcare Fee is added (I didn't see it in my orders unless it's hidden or added later). When ready, an employee delivers the food. Beverages are self serve from the soda fountain (ice machine didn't work). The water station had complimentary soda water, which I thought was very nice. They do have beer that an employee serves. When done, you buss your own table, although other guests didn't do this. I only saw two employees during my visit who were very busy preparing orders, cleaning, and doing other things. My limited interaction with them revealed polite, professional individuals. Now to the food-OUTSTANDING! The sodas are from Alameda Soda Company, using real cane sugar and excellent taste (root beer was my favorite). The menu (see picture) is really good with 12 Pizza + Create your own, wings, cheesy bread, fries, burgers, salads, and desserts. We had the Ellen Supreme (red sauce instead of vodka sauce) peppers on side. cheese bread, brussel sprouts (no szechuan dry rub). The pizza comes in one size, is a square good for one or two, and is made Detroit Style. It was unlike other pizzas I tried-Excellent! The toppings, sauce, everything was first rate. The cheese bread with red sauce I had was wonderful, but the highlight was the crispy brussel sprouts-soft and tender inside, crispy on the outside and tasty-yum! My delicate stomach had no problems with anything I ate. If you bring a group of 4-6 people, plan on spending $75 for three pizzas, not including drinks and other items. The restaurant is family oriented. Some other reviewers talked about coupons, which would be to your advantage. I am giving this restaurant 4 stars only because of how nice the employees were and how great the food was. My wife wants to come back to try the hamburger. IF they provide table service, accept cash, and get away from auto adding in a tip/employee healthcare fee, I'll give Square Pie Guys 5 Stars.

Stopped by Square Pie Guys in Campbell after some fun at the park with the kids. Located across the street from Campbell Park with a good sized parking lot. SPG in Campbell has a great seating area with a soda fountain, still AND sparkling water options next to premade to-go pizza boxes. We ordered online at the park and then sat down to enjoy our meal. For 4 adults and 2 toddlers (plus one good eating infant), we ordered the Big Von (honey honey was nice but maybe could use a bit more), Ellen Supreme (enjoyed the pickled peppers) and the Hawaiian (needed to steal the jalapeños from the kiddos) with a salad. Pizza was great, Detroit-style with creative topping options (I LOVE ALL PIZZA though). Salad was ok too, which helped with the wife's salad cravings. Lastly, for the kids, they have a nice clean bathroom changing station in the Women's (wife and other mama noted) but NOT in the men's (beware if you got to change the little ones). Otherwise very clean and good service.

There was one gentleman working when we came. We came right before the rush. I felt bad because we see him taking orders, having to fix the soda machine (their diet cola was weird and the root beer had a off color), bringing the orders out... One thing that I was not ok with was that my request to have the chicken on the side instead of on the pizza was denied. I agreed to having it left off but other than that, the pizza was very delicious; golden crust with a satisfying crunch with each bite. It wasn't too lemony either. I'm glad they opened a physical location in the South Bay. We will be back.

What a delicious spot for some SQUARE pizza! It's Detroit-style so the crust is thick and tall but those extra carbs are so worth it! We stopped by on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy. You can order on your phone through the QR code on your table. We got the Create Your Own pizza with Jalapeños, mushrooms, and herb chicken as toppings. They were generous with the mushrooms and chicken but stingy with the jalapenos. But that cheese-lined crust is what you're really here for -- so satisfyingly CRISPY and cheesy on the exterior that you'll be saving that corner bite for last. There's only four pieces but they're more filling than they look since the crust is so thick. We thought we weren't gonna be full but after two slices each we were nicely satiated. We also ordered the Garlic Fries and they were hot, crispy, and packing a strong punch of fresh garlic. Love the spicy ranch dip it comes with as well! Overall, would definitely come back to try more square pizzas with different toppings!

I ordered delivery here for a big group. The food was great! It arrived hot and pretty much in the window I selected. My guests enjoyed the pizza and the wings were actually crispy and not soggy! and I loved the salads. Some of the pizzas were hotter than others but that was such a small critique. I liked the fact that someone reached out day of to see if I needed anything but it did come while we were at the event before so I didn't get a chance to answer. Miserable opening experience. Just use this as a treat when you're in the city. Took about 7 minutes to be greeted or have my order taken - the woman who was supposed to be taking my order went to sit down in the dining room which might have been the issue. Asked specifically how long it would take as I needed to feed my son before practice and was told upper bounds of 20 minutes. At the 30 and 35 minute mark, was told it was just "5 more minutes" each time. I ended up just leaving with the half of my order that was ready as I didn't have a choice. read more

This place recently opened in Campbell, so my husband and I came to check it out because we loved their pizzas at the Local Kitchen. Seating is spacious, and dining area is clean. Their kale Caesar dressing was awesome, and the croutons aren't hard enough to slice up your mouth but crunchy enough to give you that necessary texture for a Caesar salad. Pizza was great and comes out super fresh. It does take some time though, we already cleaned our salad out and waited even longer before the pizza came out. But sacrificing some time for an amazing pizza is worth it to us! Edges crunchy, just how it should be. We got the spicy pepperoni, but easy to handle if you like your spice. read more

Surprisingly pretty good! When I first opened the box I was initially kind of disappointed as it didn't look like that much food for the price but soon realized these slices are extremely dense. Flavor wise 4/5 - it's good but not the best pizza I've had. Be cautious of the Hawaiian pizza - that was surprisingly spicy, even over the spicy pepperoni that we also had. I like the edges of the pizza. Really nice ingredients. Cheese had a good pull. Not too much sauce. My kids like the crunch of the crust. Ranch had a lemon dill flavor to it. The music inside was not too loud but it drowned out everyone else's conversations. Really clean restaurant. Glassware to drink from. Order was up on time. I do wish it was bigger. I've had SPG saved on my list for a while now but never got the chance to go up to SF to try it. Excited to see one open in the South Bay now! I'm normally a thin crust pizza type of person... but now I see the appeal of Detroit style pizza. Even though the crust IS thicker, it still had a crunchy bottom and sides. Honestly it was crunchier than a regular thin crust pizza so I really enjoyed it. Some of my favorites: - Big Vons, 9/10: super meaty and I liked the sweetness from the honey but wish it was a littleeee spicier - Hawaiian, 8/10: solid, I liked how there was a kick from the jalepenos - Szechuan pepper wings, 9.5/10: there isn't really a Szechuan flavor BUT I loved the flavor regardless! I would honestly come back just for these, they were SO good Overall, a solid spot for pizza and wings and I will for sure be back! read more

this pizza is delicious. Yes maybe it is expensive but it really is so tasty. There's not many other places serving up a Detroit style slice, and I don't think many others could do it as well. They add cheese to the outside of the crust that gets so nice and crispy, I'm addicted! It's hard to rationalize sometimes the pricier pies when there are a lot of other great affordable options, but to me, this is a special treat. They also have a surprisingly great selection of delicious salad if you're looking for something a little lighter. This is the newest square pie location, and as such there are always a lot of deals and discounts going around. They have very good gluten-free pizza as well and some selection of beer if you dine inside. It is a big open area space and I've never seen it too busy indoors, I think it's much more of a takeout spot. But I am happy for this addition to the South Bay to finally enjoy a good square slice! read more

This place is so great! Not only are their pizzas fun and delicious but their customer service is amazing! My friends and I ordered 3 pizzas through DoorDash but only had 1 delivered. We confirmed with the DoorDasher that he only received 1 so we called the restaurant and they apologized and said they could make us the others in 10 minutes. My friend went to get them and when she got back she said they threw in a cookie as well! Above and beyond! read more

1st time in and loved it. My girlfriend and I actually ordered online for pickup but decided to stick around and get into our big von and cheesy garlic bread. Both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also didn't expect the garlic bread to be as big as it was. 10/10 would order every time. Also don't be afraid to try the sauces, we got the blue cheese and basil pesto aioli, both were top tier. Although the food was amazing, I became motivated to leave a review after being helped by Dennis. Hiring manager hit the nail on the head with this one. He was such a positive first contact. You can tell that he pays attention to detail and genuinely cares if guests have a positive experience. Definitely just established our go to pizza spot. read more

First time attempting to order- at the time our food was meant to arrive at my house, we got a call from delivery person who was at the restaurant and was told he'd have to wait AT LEAST an additional half hour. For some reason our order was routed to a farther location with a half hour delivery time on top of that. Tried to cancel order and were very poorly treated. Staff was dismissive, rude and condescending - These guys are terrible. Maybe they should ease up on their social media presence and spend some resources on customer service. read more

I came in on Friday about 1 o'clock and was greeted by AJ and he was so pleasant and nice. He took my order and I sat down and I was very impressed with the restaurant. It's very clean and he's a good vibe then he brought the pizza to me I got the lunch special, which includes two slices of pizza. I chose the pepperoni. I was amazed and very impressed with the pizza. The pepperoni had a nice crisp to it and when you buy it into it, it has a nice crunch so I'm definitely coming back and I'm gonna tell all my friends and family members to go as well. We first tried SPG in SF , and loved on the amazing, crispy crust and cup pepperoni! THRILLED to see they opened in Campbell! The pizza is so satisfying and there's a discount every day! BUT this location has hospital grade bright white lights, cold steel chairs, and the line for takeout orders is out the door. They def don't want customers to stay and eat. Quality here matches the price paid: exactly what you'd want in an upscale Detroit-style pizza: rich crust, crispy edges, satisfying toppings, you'll receive. The non-pizza options are also pretty solid too: I had the Parmesan chicken sando and the chilled salad, which were delicious. For a to go order that just consisted of garlic bread, salad, and chicken, the order took a lot longer than usual. I waited 15 minutes for my food to be prepared, even when things weren't as busy towards the end of the day. read more

I returned because the food is great! The ambience is great, there's plenty of lighting, and a friendly staff! The staff really works with you to see if you are satisfied with your meal! The restaurant is clean as well, and the kitchen area is visible to really put you at ease! Adjusting to the recent change of weather really worked out! Great service when we immediately walked in. Person who was the cashier was extremely friendly and helpful. I've already tried the pizzas from SF location, but knowing they have a brick and mortar location in the South Bay is exciting news! They have the full menu as any of their other locations. Perhaps it was too much crust and the fact that the pizza was soggy, so I threw the crust away and ate the toppings with the delicious salad. I also bought the garlic bread, and the sauce tasted like it was poured directly from the can, as if it hadn't been cooked. My delivery charges came up to $20, so needless to say, I was disappointed. The food is usually ready quickly and you pick up at the shelves, they have a sign telling you once your order is ready.

Two slices of sourdough bread topped with filets of smoked salmon on an herb aioli spread. All of this was garnished with a generous helping of frisee, a few rings of red onion, a helping of capers, a couple zests of lemon, and a sprinkling of dill. And what a delightful meal! From the first bite, the salmon was smoky with a hint of salt and sweetness, with herbal creaminess and a toasty crunch thanks to the aioli and bread. The frisee was peppery sharp, a highlight and good contrast to the salmon. The mild salty brininess of the capers and the bright tart lemon zest brought notes of sunshine and sea breeze to the dish. The dill was the fresh, light, finishing touch. This was just like a fresh lunch by the seaside, and for a moment it was heaven. Where community comes together for good food, Manresa is there. And where there is good food there are great memories. My time at Manresa was a memorable one, and I'll be back for more food and community soon.

What you see in the photo online is not what you get. The photo actually looks like a salad. Since it was called a salad, I expected there to be more lettuce, than the few pieces on the plate. I mainly was cutting up the cucumber & tomato pieces to go with the falafels. I don't even recall any dressing. There were also some pita slices with what I assumed was hummus. Whatever the dip was, it did not taste good to me at all. So I left all of the pita bread, as well, since it was dry without anything on it. Maybe what I assumed was hummus was a dressing. Hard to know, but it was not tasty. For the $27 I paid at a walk up counter, I would have expected much better food! I have bought frozen falafels at Lunardis (around $7) and made a salad for them at home, and enjoyed it very much, which is why I ordered it. I have purchased Spanakopita at the store many times, (about $5 for around 12 of them at the store) and made them at home, which is why I didn't order that. The falafel salad was not an enjoyable meal for me at Yiassoo's. I'd also seen some reviews from a few years back that said they paid around $10 or $11 for their meal. I didn't think I was too into baklava, but thought it might be nice to try at this highly rated Greek restaurant. The main flavor that came through was the honey & nuts. The chocolate was just a tiny, narrow drizzle on top. I didn't hate it, but I would never order it again. My friend took one bite, and said she mainly tasted the honey, and would take it home for her husband. It may be very good baklava, but it was not to our tastes. My friend ordered the Gyro salad. It had a large pile of shaved meat, and she seemed to enjoy it. She ordered it To-Go, as she knew she'd be taking some of it home. She seemed to have more lettuce under her pile of meat than my meal got. Maybe because it was in a To-Go box, which might be larger than the plate? Or maybe the person making my salad just wasn't paying attention to how to make a decent meal. I was hoping I was trying a restaurant that I could go back to for something different. Based upon my experience, I would not go back, if I had a choice. I gave it 3 stars, because maybe other dishes, or people looking to just eat meat or falafel balls and not much else would enjoy it. BF got the ribeye with morels, which was perfectly cooked and unbelievably tender. I had the burger, which was more exciting than it sounds, dressed with a wild combo of veggies, cheese and bacon while still managing to be harmonious and fresh tasting. Side of fries were crisp and tasty, though not as perfectly hot as I would ideally wish. Because the burger was late coming out, or server (Bernardo I think?) comped us an amazing little dish of vanilla soft serve ice cream with olive oil and sea salt, along with the butterscotch pudding that we ordered. The pudding didn't have the strong butterscotch flavor that I hoped for, but the vanilla ice cream stole the dessert show. OCK isn't a place I can afford often, but I still really like it. The chicken was much juicier, and it had a lot more substance. The chicken pieces were thicker and the sauce was delicious. It's reminiscent of a chicken and waffle dish because I believe the sauce has some sort of maple syrup. The dishes have changed but I'm a huge fan of the change. I will continue to come here and I am glad to see that this place doesn't seem to want to stop getting better.

The workers were very nice, with the cashier even offering a free taste of the Hokkaido milk gelato to our kiddos even without us asking, and drinks came out quick and yummy as usual. Only issue I experienced was one of the long benches inside that we sat on kept going up and down like a seesaw whenever the person sitting next to us got up or down. We started out with complimentary glasses of Prosecco and sparkling cider while we waited to be seated. There was a little delay in getting our table, but it wasn't really a problem because we were chatting and enjoying the drinks. Before we entered, they had a floral photo wall where we took a photo together to memorialize the experience. And when we sat at the table, they had placed a lovely Mother's Day card on the table signed by the staff. The decor at Be.Steak.A is modern and feels very upscale. I think the bathrooms say a lot about a restaurant's attention to detail, and the bathrooms at Be.Steak.A were elevated - essential oil infused salt scrub to wash your hands, bidets, etc. The brunch buffet is just as described - hot items and pastries in the kitchen (so cool), a caviar bar outside, a separate station for cold seafood, another station for fruit and charcuterie, and then assorted desserts on the bar. The food was excellent. We started with the caviar -- the options and accouterments were plentiful and delicious. The caviar bar was so fun and felt luxurious. This was one of the highlights of the whole experience for me. For the other seafood, we enjoyed oysters, shrimp, crab legs, and other little seafood dishes, which unfortunately weren't labeled, so we didn't always know what we were eating. My friend had some dietary restrictions she was concerned about, so that was a little frustrating for her. But my favorite bite of the entire day was one of those unmarked seafood dishes- I wish I could tell you what it was -I think it was possibly squid. But it was so fresh and flavorful. Yum! The hot food in the kitchen was a neat experience. They had skewers and prime rib and many other dishes to choose from. I kept coming back to the seafood skewers. We were a little bummed that the beef Wellington was just gone when we entered the kitchen. There was still about another hour and a half of brunch service left so that was a disappointment for us. They also had numerous pasties and this amazing bread pudding that I drizzled a Nutella sauce over and added some strawberries to. This was probably my third favorite bite of the day (after the little seafood dish and the caviar experience). I'd be remiss if I didn't give the truffled deviled eggs from the charcuterie area a shout out. These were so good we kept going back for more. The desserts were good but a number of them were a little dry, I have to say. Surprisingly, my favorite was a little passionfruit tart that had just the right amount of sweetness. I'm usually a chocolate kinda gal but there weren't that many chocolate options, I have to say. A few other things- our server was lovely and gave us a lay of the land to start. She made sure we had any drinks we wanted and plenty of extra silverware. While there just aren't as many touch points with a server at a buffet, the interactions we did have were very positive. And even though I was disappointed that they ran out of the Beef Wellington, I was so impressed with how they kept replenishing and refilling the other dishes right up to the end of the buffet. This was an incredible dining experience. I'd highly recommend this brunch buffet experience for special occasions. I'm looking forward to dining here for dinner in the not so distant future!

Whether or not it was true the bartender said it needs time to set. Well you could have said it takes time while my wife was waiting to sip on hers(mediocre communication). We then proceeded to order the scallop appetizer. While the presentation was good. The scallops were rubbery and overcooked. A few mins later we had to ask to order some entrees. Key words "had to ask". I got the hot stone trio. She got the lobster risotto. We decided on indulging a little. While we were waiting I asked for a wine list... 5 minutes later I asked again different server finally got the list. No revisit. The food came. Still looking to order wine about 8-10 mins in a different bartender came in and asked, we ended up getting a bottle wine. The food: the hot stone trio, for $230, mediocre cuts of supposedly A5 Japanese wagyu. They were out of the Sanuki and said we'll substitute with an Oregon beef. Just not worth the money. The lobster was ok, the risotto was already cooled off, seemed like it was sitting. So for 2 of us with a $700 plus meal the service was not on par with other similar establishments. Combine that with food that was definitely not worth the $$$$, it is not a return for me. Including hosting business here. Not sure if they judged us cause we weren't all dressed up, due to just coming from the local movie theater or what, but service was not there, unfortunate.

He served us water and a very food delicious basket of freshly baked bread ( which inadvertently set the tone for the meal to come because it was beyond excellent ) and named off the house specials, which were all mouth-watering at hearing them but it was the rib eye steak that caught my attention and that is what I ordered and also a ginger beer as well ( Fever Tree no doubt about it ). My family also ordered their food and then we waited for what what it seemed was an eternity for our meal to come. After about 40 minutes our meals came and they did not disappoint, from presentation to the flavor, taste and consistency of it all. I honestly don't remember eating my meal because it was done in 5 minutes... yes. it was that good and beyond delicious! I remember the steak was tender, juicy, grilled perfectly, the gravy was hearty and robust. the vegetables were cooked right ( fresh and tangy ) and the mashed potatoes were oh so fluffy and creamy. First we ordered the pork XLB, the beef pot stickers, Dan Dan noodles and the ja jiang mian. Then we ordered the Q-bao and banana crepe. The first round of food came out quickly and we noticed that the banana crepe was sold out. 1. XLB - there was nothing really special about the XLB at Dough Zone. The wrapper was a bit thicker than I personally like and the filling was just ok. Not the worst XLB I've had, but there are definitely better out there. We were offered ginger for these and the ginger was given to us grated instead of julienne. 3/5 2. Beef pot stickers - these were surprisingly good with the crispy underside and a juicy filling. Would definitely order these again. 4/5 3. Dan Dan noodles - these noodles are made with ma la (麻辣) sauce which translates to numbing spice popular in sichuan cuisine. We also noticed the banana crepe was no longer sold out, so we ordered that too. I would definitely order it again. The holiday decorations were a nice touch, with Mr. and Mrs. Santa, a festive window display, and a photo booth in the waiting area. I had been wanting to try Square Pie Guys for a while because I'm a huge fan of Detroit-style pizza, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The pizza was amazing--thick, crispy-edged, cheesy perfection just like a good Detroit-style slice should be. Everything we ordered was super yummy, and it's one of those places where everyone in the family can easily find something they like. The atmosphere is relaxed and very family-friendly, which made the whole experience even better. It's also in a great spot right in Downtown Campbell, making it a fun place to grab a meal while out and about. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely worth the wait.
