Such a cool neighborhood vibe!! On a trip to Washington DC I was visiting the surrounding area when we came access a cute neighborhood pizzeria. The service was efficient and friendly. I will admit, it was busy when we arrived! The restaurant is on the smaller side yet it is cozy. On to the food... I ordered the chicken Parmesan and I substituted the marinara sauce for Alfredo sauce... it was absolutely amazing! I also ordered the calamari for the table and it was seasoned to perfection. I didn't care for the sauce that came with the calamari. Now it was fried to perfection as well. My daughter ordered the penne pasta with broccoli and chicken, and she said she loved it. She said it was one of the best pasta dishes she's had in a long time. If you're in the area, you definitely need to try this place out. read more

The food is delicious... at first glance, I was unsure as the dine-in portion of the restaurant is not well kept but the staff are polite. Service was quick... food in less than 15 minutes. This place is perfect for a grab and go or to eat in for lunch. Great lunch special that's convenient with two big slices of your choice of pizza and a drink. It's done relatively quickly which is why it was perfect for what I was looking for since I was in a rush. The workers are very friendly and the place is clean. The service was excellent. The food was good. The second pasta was 50% off on Tuesday. The meatballs were delicious. The chicken parmigiana was okay but not as good as Olive Garden or King's NY pizza in Fairfax. Their pizza is good and you can get pizza by the slice. The calzones are excellent. When you go in you place your order at the counter and then the food is served to you at your table. They have takeout containers and bags available without having to ask. The tables and booths are very nice. You have your choice of disposable or plastic glasses for your beverages at the soda fountain. I recommend this restaurant for casual dining. read more

Tonight's pizza sauce was very salty and the pizza dough/crust tasted like cardboard. There was no paper between the hot pizza and cardboard which took on that taste. Not great pizza. Consistency is key for me and not sure if I will order pizza again here. read more

Well the phones are not being answered, the pizza maker is screaming and the cashier is apologizing to customers. It's Halloween night and I will remember next year that although it's a great day to order pizza, just not here. I've been waiting a while now and was told that some customers have been waiting over 2 hours for their pizza. One person told me that she called in the day before for a pick over an hour and a half ago. All I hear is the phone ringing with no pick ups. The cashier told me that they are busy so he's not answering. Amazingly I'm wondering if it's door dash orders which are coming in and maybe bumping the regular customers. If it weren't for the gluten free pizza that they make I would have requested a refund 30 minutes ago. My next project will be to find a gluten free pizza place so that I have options because this will not happen again. It's nice that he's apologizing for the wait. If you're from the NY tri-state area you'll be happy you came here. It's sooooo hard to find good pizza in Va, but Squisito is great.

I cannot praise Squisito's enough. The aesthetic of the shop is pleasant and New York-like, accompanied by a very nice and considerate staff. It delivers on every level. Being from New England and now living in Va I consider myself kind of a 'NY pizza' snob. I could not find any pizzas that even resemble the pies of my youth. Squisito cheese pizza slices brought me back to yore. They are better than many up north, and overwhelmingly better than any pizza in Northern Virginia. The other day at work someone was talking about a pizza place in their neighborhood that people were complaining about and my coworker said, "I mean, it's pizza. Pizza is pizza. There isn't such a thing as bad pizza." As a person who was raised on Little Caesar's and Domino's, who later lived in NYC for 15 years and discovered what I'd been missing my whole life (amazing pizza lol), I am here to tell you: all pizza is not created equal. And there most definitely IS such a thing as bad pizza. Luckily, Squisito's isn't bad. In fact, I'd even say it's good. It's not great, but it scratches the itch. Would I choose Puppatella or Emmy Squared over it? Sure. But they're totally different animals. Squisito's is your typical pizzeria style pizza and it has a solid slice. We ordered from there for the first time a few nights ago, and honestly, I was apprehensive at first. We haven't had much luck with local pizza and I wasn't in the mood to be disappointed. I'm so glad we tried this place. Their pepperoni pizza was as good as any quick slice I could grab late night in New York. Next time we want a pie at home on a Friday night, I know where we're going. read more

Pizza... its versatility is unmatched. Feeds 1 or a group, works for all three meals including hangover food, it's portable and can encompass all 4 food groups. You gotta rate pizza by category and Squisito is straight upstate NY style (a personal fave). Many places claim to be NY but this joint nails it. Bonus- real NY style garlic knots are available. This is my go-to place now. They do pizza by the slice and even reheated, its on point.... just like in Albany or Utica pizza shops. Disclaimer... this is not NY city style. The service was also good and on par with what we expected from our previous experience. The salads come in a BIG portion--good for an app for a family of 4 or an entree for me and my mother to share (and then some). The pizzas also come in a big size, and we always have some left over. The FRIES are a MUST! We are in love with their fries and always get a side order! My brother enjoys both the steak and cheese as well as the baked ziti. Both the pasta and salads come with a side of Garlic bread (which sometimes can be cold...). So, here's how it works. You walk into the restaurant and ORDER FIRST. There are menus near the cash register. If you choose dine-in, you will receive a table number tent which you take to any table (it's seat yourself). Drinks are also self-serve. Then, the staff will bring your food to your table. Enjoy your meal. Then, you can leave everything on the table and leave! Customer Service is pretty sweet. I give a 4/5 just because there is always room for improvement. The atmosphere: family friendly. Very casual. Feel free to walk in wearing athletic shorts and a t-shirt. This restaurant is located in ox road in shoppes of portion valley plaza. Plaza has plenty of parking available, the restaurant has dine in option. Restaurant also has pick up option. Went during lunch to order personal pizza which is about 12 inches able to feed 1 adult and children, the pizza are made to order and fire oven cook. The pizza come with fresh pizza sauce and delicious cheese. Pizza taste fresh and delicious. Pizza was about $11.65. The food here is delicious! The Caesar salad, the fettuccine alfredo or fettuccine Bolognese pasta, the huge individual pizza slices, the calzones, and the garlic knots are all recommended. One of the things we like most about Squisito Pizza & Pasta though is the customer service. We've eaten here about a dozen times over the years and the staff comes and goes, but one thing that always remains is excellent customer service! The food is never great - and more importantly, the management and owner is terrible and does not deserve your business. Most recently, we had family with us, and went to order their ADVERTISED Specials, the Family Meals, but they refused it. Staff argued that they never heard of such a thing, their manager rudely rebuffed us, argued they refuse to honor the Squisito special and even denigrated that we should just keep driving to another Squisito who would honor it - the closest of which is in Maryland mind you; and the General Manager, who said he was a part-owner of Squisito's was just as - if not more rude than his subordinates - of course probably right in front of them, said they told their corporate IT guy to take down the special on the website, expressed that he did not care if Squisitos lost all of our business entirely, argued us and scoffed at honoring a currently advertised special - not even honoring it or doing anything for our inconvenience. They were all on speakerphone in the car - and nobody in the car will be giving Squisitos business after this. As it turns out, this is a franchise, so not only is Lorton probably violating law by not honoring published advertisements, but violating their Franchise Agreement as well. Ironically, other Squisito locations happily still honor the advertised specials, and are thankful to receive business. Most ironically, the family meal only saves a few dollars off of the regular cost of ordering the items individually, and were never really served as anything bigger or better even when we did get them from the Lorton location. And since things are tighter for everyone, most business have continued or created family meals and specials because it's better to have some business, then people choosing to cook at home and not give you any business... but apparently, this alleged part-owner of Squisitos just doesn't get it or care. The Lorton location, whose food has only been mediocre at best - and seems to only continue to get worse, really has nothing left going for it - and since they don't honor commitments and are damaging the brand, they should no longer be a Squisito franchisee. They certainly do not deserve the benefits of being part of company, let alone the trust or business of customers. There are so many better and more honest, ethical, gracious and thankful restaurants out there - so many nice places and people who really want your money and business. I and my family will choose someone better and more deserving! And based upon many, including the most recent reviews of this location, many others know and are moving on too. I think the message to Squisitos is clear - this is a service industry - if you are not willing or capable of providing good and earnest services to customers, go find another job, business and industry. read more
